        Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been panedemic and remains one of the most commom STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Methods: For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results: In 1996, 139 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 53(39.0%) were PPNG. Conclusion: Our results suggests that after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is gradually declining.

        However, Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is still helpful procedure for the diagonosis of the pancreatobiliary disease and treatment through endoscopic sphinterectomy (EST) is relatively safe, these have possiblity of complications such as hemorrhage, infection, panceatitis, and perforation. ERCP related perforation was rarely reported in 0.3 to 1.1% of previous study, but most serious complication. A report of Pneumomediastinum, Tension Pneumothorax complicating perforation after ERCP and EST is very uncommon. In our hospital, we experienced case of pneumomediastinum, subcutaneous emphysema, and tension pneumothorax after ERCP and EST, and the patient (a 58 years old female with suspicious common bile duct stone) was treated successfully with conservative treatment.

        당뇨환자에서 발생한 두개저의 침습성 아스페르길루스증 1예

        두개저의 침습성 아스페르길루스증은 매우 드물지만 치명적인 질환으로 침습성 아스페르길루스 부비동염에 합병될 수 있다. 침습성 아스페르길루스증의 치료 원칙은 병변의 외과적 적출술과 장기간의 항진균요법으로 되어 있으나, 적절한 치료 기간과 치료 반응의 경과 판정에 대한 지침은 없는 실정이다. 저자들은 부비동염 증상을 주소로 내원하여 아스페르길루스종을 진단받고 4개월 전에 수술받은 적이 있는 당뇨 환자에서 두 개저의 침습성 아스페르길루스증을 진단하였으며, 병소의 부분적인 수술적 제거와 5개월 이상의 전신적 항진균제 사용으로 환자의 임상 경과가 호전되었으며 치료전과 치료 과정에서 시행한 갈륨스캔에서 방서성동위원소의 섭취가 점차 감소하여 일치하는 소견을 관찰할 수 있었다. 이에 저자들은 당뇨를 포함한 면역저하자에서 발생하는 아스페르길루스 부비동염은 조직 침습 유무에 대한 정확한 진단이 매우 중요하며, 추후에도 침습성 아스페르길루스증으로 진행할 수 있음을 유의해야 할 것을 강조하며, 또한, 갈륨스캔이 그러한 감별과 치료 경과 판정에 유용함을 경험하여 보고하는 바이다. Invasive aspergillosis of skull base is a rare but potentially lethal disease which complicates fungal sinusitis and requires surgical debridement, and long term antifungal therapy. However, optimal duration of antifungal therapy and standard method to monitor of clinical response are not known. A 55-year-old diabetic female patient presented with headache and otatgia 4 months after surgery for non-invasive aspergilloma of sinus. Brain MRI findings revealed bone destructions at the skull base and mastoid process. Mastoidectomy and tympanoplasty were performed, and the resected specimen showed fungal hyphae invading the tissue. Amphotericin B was given for 9 weeks (a total dose of 3.3g) with oral itraconazole, followed by itraconazole (400 ㎎ daily) alone for another 12 weeks. Serial gallium scans, taken before treatment and at 8th and 16th weeks following therapy, showed gradual reduction in uptake of the lesions. We emphasize that non-invasive Aspergillus sinusitis may progress to invasive disease, and strong suspicion of invasiveness is mandatory, especially in immunocompromised patients including diabetes mellitus. Also, we suggest that gallium scan is useful for determining the presence and extent of the disease, and monitoring clinical response following therapy.

        장애,비장애인 휠체어 농구선수의 유산소 능력

        The purpose of this study was to analyzed the aerobic capacity of disability· able-bodied wheelchair basketball players. Cardiorespiratory parameters were measured during graded maximal exercise test. Exercise time, HRpeak, oxygen uptake(VO_2, L·min^-1, ml·min^-1·kg^-1), carbon dioxide production(VCO_2, L·min^-1), ventilation(L·min^-1) were examined in disability national elite male wheelchair basketball at letes(DA, N = 10), able-bodied wheelchair basketball athletes(AA, N = 10). All data were expressed in means and standard deviation. Exercise time, HRpeak, oxygen uptake, carbon dioxide production, ventilation were not different between groups. In conclusion, aerobic capacity of disability national elite male wheelchair basketball athletes is the same able-bodied wheelchair basketball athletes. These finding suggest that chronic wheelchair basketball training produce local adaptations in the functional upper body musculature.

      • 국내 사용 농약을 대상으로 한 HPLC 방법에 의한 옥탄올/물 분배계수 추정법의 적용성 검토

        Octanol/water partition coefficients of 52 chemicals were calculated using RP-HPLC estimation method and predicted by computer program, PCHEM, The result showed relationship between literature values and RP-HPLC observed values (relative coefficient r² = 0.916), but the relationship of PCHEM values with literature values was lower than RP-HPLC value (relative coefficient r² = 0.795). The average difference in partition coefficient between the RP-HPLC method and flask-shaking method was log Kow=0.54, while the average difference between the values predicted form the computer program and flask-shaking method was log Kew = 0.36. Compared to octanol/water partition coefficients by 3 methods (Flask-shaking, RP-HPLC, computer prediction), the octanol/water partition coefficient values based on the flask-shaking method were very similar to the literature values, while the octanol/water partition coefficient values by RP-HPLC method without to consider the dead time, and computer prediction values did not significantly differ with the literature values.

In particular, the game engine without the use of the whole process by making DirectX libraries by using only low-level PC that can be used in the benefits and advantages are efficient in terms of memory.

        배관 검사용 Radiometric Scanning System 제작 및 시험

        필름을 사용하지 않는 방사선투과검사 시스템인 1차원 Radiometric scanning system을 개발하여 부식 및 침적물이 있는 배관의 두께평가에 적용해 보았다. 개발된 시스템은 단일 방사성 동위원소에서 나오는 방사선을 선형으로 접속하여 시험체를 투과시킨 방사선을 한개의 섬광형 검출기인 BGO를 사용하여 검출하는 single source - single detector alignment system을 제어하는 기계주사 시스템과 제어 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 시스템의 성능을 GEANT4 프로그램을 사용하여 예측하여 보았다. 그리고, 인공결함을 제작하여 넣은 시편과 두께 변화를 준 시편에 적용하여 실제 성능을 평가하였다. 이 시스템은 방사성 동위원소를 이용하여 배관의 부식과 침적물에 의한 두께 변화에 대하여 실시간으로 필름을 사용하지 않고 평가할 수 있는 가능성을 알 수 있었다. One dimensional Radiometric scanning was fabricated and tested as a filmless radiographic inspection system, which could be applied to the evaluation of the corrosion and deposits in the pipeline. This system is composed of the single radioactive source of the collimated focusing beam, and single scintillation detector of BGO, and the mechanical scanning system to transport and align the source and detector, and the operating software to automatically control the mechanical scan system. The performance of the system was simulated using GEANT4 software. This system is applied to one specimen having an artificial flaw(flat bottom hole) in the pipe and other specimen with thickness variation. For the inspection by using the radioactive source in the pipeline, it is possible to evaluate the corrosion and deposits in real time and without film.

        An analysis is presented on the influence of the axial force and a moving elastic system at constant velocities on dynamic behavior of a simple beam. The compressive force is consevative, which remain in constant direction. A moving elastic system consists of spring, viscous dampers, a sprung mass, and an unsprung mass. The sprung mass is an elastic body supported at both ends by the suspension unite consisting of springs and viscous dampers, and assumed to be vibrated transvesly. The unsprung masses are the rigid bodies attached to the bottom of the suspension unit and moves, not seperating from a simple beam, at constant velocity on it. As the position of a moving elastic system moves to the right on a simple beam, the deflection of it is increased. The deflection of a simple beam is nearly influenced by the velocities of a moving elastic body in total mode. Since the spring force control the transverse vibration of a simple beam, the large force of spring decrease the deflection unit and a axial force influence infitesimally on the deflection of a simple beam.

      • Burkhoderia sp. AK-17에 의한 잎들깨 재배의 생물학적 조절

        There are various crop diseases in green houses that are caused by the cultural environments, especially high temperature and moisture. To solve the forementioned problems, farmers are overusing agricultural chemicals, causing other damages by the chemical residue. In this study, antagonistic bacteria as biological control agents were isolated to produce the environmentally-friendly crops for use in green houses. Eighteen species of antagonistic bacteria were totally isolated from the soil and plants in the Perilla fields, and AK-17 showed the highest activity among the isolates. According to the results of anti-fungal spectrum against several pathogens by AK-17, the antagonism effect of the isolates was remarkable against grey mold rot by Botrytis cinerea, sclerotinia rot by Sclerotnia sclerotiorum, and stem rot by Rhizoctonia solini. To evaluate the biological control effects of the isolates against the major diseases of Perilla, studies were carried out to evaluate the preventive and the curative effects of the diseases throughout the pot experiments. According to the forementioned experiments, the preventive and the curative effects by the isolates against sclerotinia rot were respectively showed as 55% and 92%. For the grey mold rot, those were 40% and 78%, respectively. As to the evaluation of the growth-promoting effect by AK-17, the length and the biomass of the tested plants were increased to 120% and to 164%, respectively. For the leaf numbers and area were respectively increased to 120% and 220%. Furthermore, AK-17 was identified as Burkhoderia sp. according to the results of physiological properties and genetic methods. 시설원예단지의 재배환경은 고온다습으로 많은 병해가 발생하며, 이를 방제하기위해 과다한 농약을 사용하므로 농약 잔류성에 대한 피해가 심각한 우려를 낳고 있다. 미생물을 이용한 생물학적 방제법 개발로 청정 시설원예작물을 생산할 목적으로 길항균을 분리하였다. 잎들깨 재배토양과 식물체로부터 길항세균 18종을 분리하였으며 분리한 길항세균 중에 AK-17이 가장 활성이 뛰어나 이를 이용하여 주요 식물병원균에 대한 항균스펙트럼을 조사하였다. 그 결과 잿빛곰팡이병원균의 Botrytis cinerea와 균핵병원균의 Sclerotinia sclerotiorum 및 줄기썩음병원균인 Rhizoctonia solant에 대한 항균효과가 뛰어났다. 잎들깨의 주요 병에 대한 생물학적 방제실험은 병발생 억제효과와 병방제효과를 pot 실험으로 실시했다. 그 결과 균핵병은 55%의 병발생 억제효과와 92%의 방제효과가 있었고, 잿빛곰팡이병은 40%의 병발생 억제효과와 78%의 방제효과를 확인할 수 있었다. AK-17의 식물 생육촉진효과는 신장이 120%, 생체중이 164% 증가되었으며, 엽수와 엽면적은 각각 120%와 220%의 증가효과를 보였다. 그리고 AK-17을 생리·생화학적방법과 유전학적 방법으로 동정한 결과, Burkhoderia sp.로 확인되었다.

      • 발열체를 가진 2중 수평채널에서의 전열특성에 관한 연구

        In this study was performed on the characteristics of heat transfer analysis by numerical method in a double horizontal channel with internal heat sources, up and down side walls are adiabatic condition. Pseudo PCB(Printed Circuit Board) with cooling hole its located around heat source. This channel have two heat sources that its condition is uniform heat flux maintenance 5W, upper channel and lower channel inlet velocity 0.2m/sec and outlet open condition. Parameter is cooling hole's location on the plate(PCB) and increasing heat flux(10W,15W) for one case.
