        Knowledge of ocular tissue development is important in understanding the congenital anomalies and in diagnosing the acquired diseases. For instance, mechanisms of retinal detachment could be precisely explained by developmental features and processes between photoreceptor cells and pigment epithelium. The pre-and postnatal development of rat retina was studied by light and electron microscopy. Ages of the fetuses examined were : 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 days. Postnatal stages were : newborn, 2, 3, 5, 7, 12, 14 and 21 days. The present observation has demonstrated the pre-and postnatal developmental order of the rat retina as follows : Prenatal development : 1. The pigment epithelium differentiates earlier than the retina cells. 2. The ganglion cells form a layer on the 14th to 15th day. Development of the nervous processes originates by vesicle formation at the marginal zone of the cytoplasm. 3. The nerve fiber layer is formed on the 15th to 16th day. The rest of the retinal cells differentiate gradually in the postnatal period. Postnatal development : 1. Outer segment began developing during the 6th postnatal day and was in close association with pigment epithelium. Developing photoreceptor lamellae were seen to be continuous with sER. 2. The outer plexiform layer began to form on the 6th day by the lateral extension of the horizontal cell processes. 3. On the 12th day synapses were formed in the inner plexiform layer. 4. At 14 days of age, differentiation of the retina was almost completed, and its morphologic features were similar to those of the adult.

        농구선수의 Tensiomyography 하지 근수축 특성에 대한 성별 비교 및 등속성 근기능과의 관련성

        This study was to undertake relationship of isokintic muscle function and gender comparison on contractile properties in lower extremities muscles through tensiomyography. This study was participated with basketball players(16 males and 15 females). The contraction time (Tc) and maximum displacement (Dm) were obtained through the biceps femoris (BF), the semitendons (ST), the rectus femoris (RF), vastus medialis(VM), vastus lateralis(VL). Isokinetic muscle functions were measured at 60°sec and 90°/sec. Dm values were significantly lower at female in the RF, VL, and VM of the left knee flexor, and showed faster Tc values at male in the BF of the right knee extensor. The average powers were significantly negatively correlated with the Tc and Dm of the right BF at 60°/sec and the Tc of the right ST at 90°/sec in the knee flexor and the Dm of the left RF at 60°/sec and 90°/sec in the knee extensor. The Tc of the left VM showed a significant positive correlation at 90°/sec. Conclusionally the contraction of the lower extremity muscle was slightly different depending on the gender, and the correlation between the tensiomyography variable and isokinetic muscle function of the leg muscle was slightly different according to the angular velocity.

        레슬링 선수의 웨이트트레이닝 시 set간 휴식시간의 차이가 등속성근기능과 무산소성 파워에 미치는 영향

        연구목적: 본 연구는 레슬링선수들의 웨이트트레이닝 시 세트간의 휴식시간에 차이를 두고 훈련을 실시할 경우 무산소성파워, 근력, 근지구력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 규명하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 연구대상자는 레슬링선수 총 21명을 대상으로 60초 휴식집단 7명, 90초 휴식집단 7명, 120초 휴식집단 7명으로 각각 구분하여 12주간 웨이트트레이닝을 실시하였다. 3집단 모두 1-2주는 1RM의 50%로 3세트를 세트당 15회 반복, 3-7주는 1RM의 70%로 3세트를 세트당 15회 반복, 8-12주는 1RM의 70%로 4세트를 세트당 15회 반복하였다. 자료처리는 SPSS 23.0Program을 사용하여 two-way ANOVA with repeated measure을 실시하였다. 유의수준은 .05로 하였다. 결론: 연구결과 최대우력의 집단 간 비교결과 주관절 신근과 굴근에서 120초 휴식집단이 60초 휴식집단 보다 유의하게 높게 나타났고, 요부관절 신근은 120초 집단이 90초와 60초 휴식집단보다 높게 나타났다. 근지구력은 집단 간 비교결과 견관절 신근에서 60초 휴식집단이 120초 휴식집단보다 유의하게 높게 나타났고, 요부관절 신근은 60초 집단이 90초와 120초 휴식집단보다 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 최대파워는 60초와 90초 휴식집단이 120초 휴식집단보다 높게 나타났다. Purpose: This study aimed to identify the effect of weight training on anaerobic power, muscular strength and muscular endurance in wrestlers when having different duration of rest between sets. Method: The participants were 21 wrestlers; they were divided into 60 second rest group of 7, 90 second rest group of 7 and 120 second rest group of 7. Weight training was conducted for 12 weeks. All 3 groups conducted 15 repetitions of 3 sets with 50% of 1RM on 1-2 week, 15 repetitions of 3 sets with 70% of 1RM on 3-7 week and 15 repetitions of 4 sets with 70% of 1RM on 8-12 week. SPSS 23.0Program was used for data processing and two-way ANOVA with repeated measure was conducted at the .05 significance level. Result: The result of this study is as follows. For peak torque among groups, it was significantly higher on extensor and flexor muscle of elbow joint in 120 second rest group than 60 second rest group, and that on extensor muscle of trunk joint was significantly higher in 120 second rest group than 90 and 60 second rest groups. For muscular endurance among groups, it was significantly higher on extensor muscle of shoulder joint in 60 second group than 120 second rest group, and that on extensor muscle of trunk joint was significantly higher in 60 second rest group than 90 and 120 second rest groups. Peak power was higher in 60 and 90 second rest groups than 120 second rest group.

        젊은 성인 남자의 최대산소섭취량 수준과 심박변이도 및 운동 후 심박수 회복율의 관련성

        This study investigated the relationship between the level of maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) and the function of autonomic nervous system (ANS) in 30 young male adults. The function of ANS was measured by heart rate variability (HRV) and the post-exercise heart rate recovery (HRR). The results showed that there was a significant relationship between VO2max and HRV, but not between VO2max and HRR. Furthermore, the group of higher VO2max showed higher SDNN, RMSSD, TPlog, VLFlog, LFlog, HFlog level and lower physical stress index than those of the group of lower VO2max. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between VO2max and the function of ANS measured by HRV in young male adults and it seems that the aerobic capacity measued by VO2max might affect HRV positively.

        성인 여성의 체력과 심박변이도로 측정한 자율신경기능의 관계

        This study investigated the relationship between physical fitness(PF) and autonomic activity measured by heart rate variability in 46 women(30.8-58.4 years). PF included both of health and exercise function related ones. The results showed significantly positive correlation between muscular endurance(ME) and parasympathetic activity(RMSSD and logarithmic high frequency level(HFlog). Response time(RT) also showed significantly negative relationship with RMSSD, HFlog, and logarithmic total power. As a result of comparison of PF among 4 groups distributed by HFlog, the group with 50-75 percentile level of HFlog showed significantly superior ME and RT than 0-25 percentile group. In conclusion, ME and RT were related to parasympathetic activity in adult women and these PF factors are most superior in women with optimally not excessively activated parasympathetic system.

        Generation of Reactive Oxygen Species in Bovine Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer Embryos during Micromanipulation Procedures

        The present study was conducted to examine the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) during micromanipulation procedures in bovine somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) embryos. Bovine enucleated oocytes were electrofused with donor cells, activated by a combination of Ca-ionophore and 6-dimethylaminopurine culture. Oocytes and embryos were stained in dichlorodihydrofluorescein diacetate or 3'-(p-hydroxyphenyl) fluorescein dye and the H2O2or ˙OH radical levels were measured. In vitro fertilization (IVF) was performed for controls. The samples were examined with a fluorescent microscope, and fluorescence intensity was analyzed in each oocyte and embryo. The H2O2and ˙OH radical levels of reconstituted oocytes were increased during manipulation (37.2~49.7 and 51.0~55.2 pixels,respectively) as compared to those of mature oocytes (p<0.05). During early in vitro culture, the ROS levels of SCNT embryos were significantly higher than those of IVF embryos (p<0.05). These results suggest that the cellular stress during micromanipulation procedures can generate the ROS in bovine SCNT embryos.

      • 돼지 동결정액의 배양에 따른 체외수정능력과 Glycosidase Activity의 변화

        본 연구는 돼지 동결-융해 정자의 배양에 의한 체외수정능력과 glycosidase activity를 평가하기 위하여 chlortetracycfine fluorescence분석법을 이용하여, glycosidase가 체외수정능력과 정자침입에 미치는 영향에 대하여 검토하였다. 또한 돼지난자의 투명대내에서 발견된 당잔기에 대한 정자의 glyco-sidase 특이성을 확인하기 위하여 α-L-fucosidase, α-D-mannosidase, β-D-galactosidase 및 N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminidase (β-GlcNAc''''ase)의 activity를 분석하였다. 그 결과 glycosidase activity는 동결정자의 응해 후 배양하지 않았을 때보다 2시간 배양했을 때 더 높게 나타났다. β-GlcNAc''''ase의 activity 는 정자 배양 유무에 관계없이 다른 glycosidase 처리시보다 최소한 2배 이상 높게 나타났다. 또한 첨체반응이 유기된 정자의 비율은 glycosidase (α-D-mannosidase; P<0.05)에 의해 영향을 받았으며 자를 배양하지 않은 경우보다는 배양된 정자에서 높게 나타났다. 그러나 배양시간에 따른 정자의 존성에 대해 glycosidase의 종류에 따른 유의차는 인정되지 않았다. 한편 투명대내 정자의 접착과 입에 대한 또 다른 실험에서, 서로 다른 glyco-sidase가 첨가된 배양액내에서 수정된 정자가 배양시간이 길어짐에 따라 정자의 침입율은 낮아졌다 β-GlcNAc''''ase; P<0.05). 투명대내의 정자접착정도는 glycosidase의 첨가시에 무첨가시보다 접착정도가 더 높았으며, 가장 높은 접착율은 β-GlcNAc''''ase 첨가시 나타났다. 또한 모든 glycosidase 처리시 2시간 배양한 정자보다는 배양하지 않은 정자에서 투명대에 대한 접착정도가 높게 나타났으며, α-D-mannosidase의 처리시 유의적인 차이를 보였다 (P<0.05). 본 연구의 결과, β-GlcNAc''''ase가 주로 돼지정자의 원형질막내에 존재하는 것으로 추측되며, 배양된 정자에 의한 투명대 접착정도와 침입율이 낮았음에도 불구하고 glycosidase activity가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. This study has evaluated effect of the spermatozoa incubation on the glycosidase activity and fertilizing ability in vitro in the pig. To identify sperm glycosidases specific for sugar residues found in the zona pellucida of pig oocytes, the spermatozoa were treated experimentally and assayed for activities of α-L-fucosidase, α-D-mannosidase, β-D-galactosidase and N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminidase (β-GlcNAc''''ase). The glycosidases activity were higher in spermatozoa incubated for 2h than without incubation. The β-GlcNAc''''ase activity was at least two-fold higher than other glycosidase regardless of spermatozoa incubation. In the same glycosidases, the activity had a tendency to increase as time of spermatozoa incubation was prolonged, but there were no differences in spermatozoa incubated during the various periods (4∼24h). The percentages of spermatozoa that reached acrosome reaction were affected by glycosidases in the medium (P<0.05, for mannosidase), and were higher in spermatozoa with that than without incubation. On the other hand, the spermatozoa motility were decreased with incubation periods, but no effects by different glycosidases on the change of sperm motility during the various periods of incubation. In other experiment, the binding and penetration of pig spermatozoa were tested with oocytes matured in vitro in the presence of various glycosidase. The penetration rates were decreased with incubation of spermatozoa when oocytes were inseminated in medium with different glycosidases. These rates were higher in spermatozoa non-incubated than with incubation for 2h (P<0.05 for GlcNAc''''ase; P<0.01 for control group). The sperm-zona binding rate in control group were higherthan in medium with glycosidases. In addition, the highest binding rate were obtained in medium with GlcNAc''''ase. In all glycosidases, the sperm-zona binding rate in spermatozoa without incubation were higher than incubation for 2h. The significant differences were obtained in spermatozoa treated with α-D-mannosidase (P<0.05). These results suggest that β-GlcNAc''''ase is present mainly in the plasma membrane of pig spermatozoa. It was also shown that the glycosidase activity were increased in all glycosidases in spite of low sperm-zona binding rate and penetration rates by spermatozoa incubation.
