      • 漢江下流部 水害輕減을 爲한 調査 硏究

        The effect of reducing flood magnitudes, flood stages, and flood damage by upstream reservoir regulation are investigated in this study. The analytical procedures which has been established newly, are treated through this study for 7 index stations and same numbr of reaches. The method of this study could be expressed briefly as following procedures. Using stage-frequency relations and the potential damage survey data, damage-frequency relations are established, and from this, average annual flood damages computed. By holding out portions of the floods with various amounts of flood control storage in 6 reservoirs in the basin, routing were made to establish modified stage-frequency relations. From damage frequency relation, average annual damages are computed with and without condition of each control volume. The study result are concluded as follows; (1) The relationtship of corresponding water level between nearby stations are useful tools to adjust error of the data due to observation error and change of the gaging location. (2) The number of records about 10 years could not be applied for the statistical methods of flood frequency analysis. (3) The regional skew factors are recommended to apply flood frequency study by the log-Pearson Type III method. (4) The effect of damage reductions are greatly affectedin accordance with the routed flood. Therefore application of the Typical Tributary Contribution Flood are reasonable for this type of study. (5) In the North Han, effect of damage reduction due to the lacation of control point are gradually increased from upstream to downward until the confluence of North and South Han. (6) In the South Han, control effect are increased from Chungju to Yeoju where the maximum effect are analyzed and then decrease gradually until the confluence. (7) Better hydrologic and topographic combinations for the flood control are existed in South Han to compare with North Han in this study results.

        신장이식 환자에서 HCMV 항원혈증 검사의 임상적 유용성

        Background : This study was performed to determine the cut-off value and the predictability of symptomatic human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) infection according to the peak value of HCMV antigenemia assay in kidney transplant recipients. Materials and Methods : We reviewed the results of HCMV antigenemia assay (Chemicon, CA, USA) in patients who received kidney transplantation at our institution from May 2003 through May 2008, and investigated the existence and the type of HCMV infection by the medical record review. Patients who underwent the test only once during the episode or those who received ganciclovir for more than 48hrs before the test were excluded. The receiver-operator characteristic curve was drawn and the point showing maximum likelihood ratio (LR) was chosen as the cut-off value of symptomatic HCMV infection. Results : A total of 689 episodes were screened and 134 episodes were enrolled. Thirty-three (24.6%) episodes were symptomatic HCMV infection, 23 (17.2%) episodes were associated with HCMV syndrome, and 10 (7.5%) episodes were tissue-invasive diseases. The maximum LR was 7.5 (95% confidence interval, 4.014.2) and the cut-off value was 29.5 cells/200,000 WBC. The sensitivity, specificity, Positive predictive value, and negative predictive value were 66.7%, 91.1%, 71.0%, and 89.3%, respectively. Conclusions : The cut-off value of symptomatic HCMV infection by the peak value of HCMV antigenemia assay in our study was similar with previous results, although the sensitivity was relatively low.

        In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae(PPNG), we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by menas of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. In 1998, 93 strians of N. genorrhoeae were isolated, among which 60(64.5%) were PPNG. The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 64.5% in 1998.

      • 장벽경색이 선행한 Henoch-Schonlein 자반증 1례

        Henoch-Schonlein 자반증은 피부, 위장관, 관절, 신장 등을 주로 침범하며 소혈관염을 기본 병리 소견으로하는 전신성 혈관 장애 질환이다. 위장관계 증상으로는 복통, 오심 및 구토, 잠혈, 토혈, 흑색변 등이 있을 수 있고, 이러한 증상은 합병증 없이 회복되는 것이 보통이나 드물게는 장중첩증, 장벽경색 및 괴사, 장천공 등의 심한 합병증을 동반할 수도 있다. 이러한 위장관계 증상들은 특징적인 피부 소견에 선행하여 나타날 수도 있으며, 이때는 급성복증에 대한 감별진단이 중요하다. 저자들은 장벽경색이 선행하여 감별진단에 어려움을 겪고 시험적개복술을 시행한 이후에 특징적인 피부 자반이 발현되어 Henoch-Schonlein 자반증으로 진단할 수 있었던 증례를 경험하였기에 이를 보고하고자 한다. 본 증례는 입원 1일전부터 시작된 복통을 주소로 입원한 5세 남아가 배꼽 주위에 심한 경련성 복통을 지속적으로 호소하였고 이학적 소견상 배꼽주위의 압통, 장음의 감소, 흑색변 등이 있었으며 소장조영술상 공장 부위에 미만성의 불규칙한 점막비후 소견을 보여 제 8병일에 시험적개복술을 시행한 결과 근위 공장에 국한된 장괴사의 소견이 발견되어 절제 및 문합술을 실시 하였다. 병리학적 검사에서는 장벽경색의 소견을 보였다. 수술후에 복통은 완화되었으나 경미하게 지속되었고, 제 13병일경에 급성 부고환염이 병발되었다가 회복되었고 제 15병일경에는 하지에서부터 발현된 자반이 3일간 지속되었다. 결구 Henoch-Schonlein 자반증과 이의 합병증으로 발생한 근위 공장의 장벽경색으로 진단하였다. Colicky abdominal pain as symptom of Henoch-Schonlein purpura occurs in up to 70% of patients, and results from submucosal edema and hemorrhage. Abdominal pain and other GI symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, melena and hematemesis resolve mostly without any complications. But rarely life-threatening GI complications such as intussusception, intestinal mural infarction and necrosis, and massive hemorrhage may develope. In 14% of patients, abdominal pain may precede other symptoms, and creats diagnostic difficulties. We reports a case of the Henoch-Schonlein purpura presented with colicky abdominal pain which resulted from intestinal mural infarction and preceded characteristic purpuric skin lesion by several weeks. This 5 year old male patient complained of colicky abdominal pain, nausea and melena. Exploratory laparatomy was done and revealed intestinal mural infarction in proximal jejunum. One week later operation, purpuric skin lesion develiped in both leg and feet, and then, Henoch-Schonlein purpura was diagnosed.

        In this paper, a fuzzy logic controller is designed for speed control of a hydraulic inverter elevator. Mathematical modeling of an elevator actuated with hydraulic system is presented and the friction characteristics of a cylinder is examined, which may cause the abrupt increase of the acceleration in the zero-crossing speed region. Simulation results show that the proposed fuzzy logic speed controller yields a better control performance than conventional PID controller.

        Hypoallergenic and Physicochemical Properties of the A2 β-Casein Fraction of Goat Milk

        Goat milk has a protein composition similar to that of breast milk and contains abundant nutrients, but its use in functional foods is rather limited in comparison to milk from other sources. The aim of this study was to prepare a goat A2 β-casein fraction with improved digestibility and hypoallergenic properties. We investigated the optimal conditions for the separation of A2 β-casein fraction from goat milk by pH adjustment to pH 4.4 and treating the casein suspension with calcium chloride (0.05 M for 1 h at 25°C). Selective reduction of β- lactoglobulin and αs-casein was confirmed using sodium dodecyl sulphate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography. The hypoallergenic property of A2 β-casein fraction was examined by measuring the release of histamine and tumor necrosis factor alpha from HMC-1 human mast cells exposed to different proteins, including A2 β-casein fraction. There was no significant difference in levels of both indicators between A2 β-casein treatment and the control (no protein treatment). The A2 β-casein fraction is abundant in essential amino acids, especially, branched-chain amino acids (leucine, valine, and isoleucine). The physicochemical properties of A2 β-casein fraction, including protein solubility and viscosity, are similar to those of bovine whole casein which is widely used as a protein source in various foods. Therefore, the goat A2 β-casein fraction may be useful as a food material with good digestibility and hypoallergenic properties for infants, the elderly, and people with metabolic disorders.

      • 효율적인 현장체험학습을 위한 암남공원의 지질에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to find out the study of the effective field experience learning method through the geological survey of the Amnam Park. The field experience learning has been used in the general subjects and in that case data supply is common. But the data supply is lack in the programs of the earth science especially in Busan , it is rare to learn geological matters with topography of Busan. With the results of this study it is possible to maximize the learning effect by using the outdoor environments. The Amnam Park which is accessible to students with convenient transportations has the effective stratum outcrops for the different rocks, faults, folds, intrusion of magma, metamorphic-contact transformation rocks what show the various lithosphere change phenomenon and the lithosphere leveling. With the results of the concentrative survey of the Amnam Park, this study proposes the localization of the text of the local environment of nature, application and shows the way of the teaching and learning effects. As the results are as follows. First the Amnam Park specifies the geological history of Busan observing the stratum outcrops of that place which was consist of terrestrial deposit(accumulative layer) in the Lake or swamp environments. Second the Amnam Park shows the topographical characteristics formed by the lithosphere leveling and the movement of seawater and various topographical facts for example weathering, erosions, coast terrace, erosion by seawater caves. Third the Park has the variety of the stratum outcrops and evidences of lithosphere transformation relatively in the Small space. It has the advantage for the worthy geological learning place owing to accessible location. Using the field experience learning relating the geological unit in the Elementary School has effective learning for the students. The field experience learning with the text of localization provides the students with the love for their own place and the spirit for the preservation of nature as the accessory effects.

        준안정 오스테나이트의 가공유기 변태 계산모델

        A computational model, which can describe the mechanically-induced martensite transformation of metastable austenite, is suggested. The strain originated from the transformation of metastable austenite into martensite is evaluated by assessing the difference of the nucleation rate of variants, which was determined from the interaction energy between externally applied stress state and lattice deformation based on the K-S relationship. A self-consistent model with the Eshelby's solution is employed to predict the deformation behavior. A simple iterative calculation was carried out to predict the stress-strain behaviors under the uniaxial stress state. The calculated results are compared with the experimental data for various strain rates. Good agreement is found between the calculated and experimental values of transformation kinetics and stress-strain behavior.

      • 입상미생물을 이용한 고농도 유기성폐수의 혐기성처리

        This research aims to find granulation and organic removal of the piggery wastewater with the upflow blanket filter (UBF) reactor. UASB process had the effect of high pH on the granulation phase. But teh effect was decreased after the granule formtion. The filter zone of the UBF reactor had the function of GSS and contributed to removing the organic because of its biofilm formtion. The removal rates of total COD and soluble COD were 70% ~ 80% and 60 ~80% at an influent organic loading range of 2 ~ 17.4 kgCOD/m?.d, respectively. The methane production rate with the organic removal was 0.21 ~ 0.34 ℓCH?/gCOD ? and the maximum methan production rate was 0.34 CH?ℓ/gCOD ? at the volumetric loading 5 kgCOD/m?.d.
