This paper presents the development of the I/O Interface for the real time parallel data communication between controller of a six-axis industrial robot(CRS -A460) and an external computer. The proposed I/O Interface consists of the hardware I/O interface and the software that is downloaded to the robot controller and executed by the controller operating system. The constitution of the digital I/O Port for CRS-A460 robot controller and the digital I/O board for IBM-PC are presented as well as the Process Control Program of the robot controller. The developed protocol for the parallel data communication is described. The data communication is tested, and the performance is analysed. In particular, it is shown that the real-time constraint of the robot controller process is satisfied.

OEB(Open Electronic Book) 표준을 지원하는 Viewer의 설계와 구현

e-book is digital contents using IT technology instead of paper. It is carried in Internet and displayed wish Viewer of PC, PDA or terminal. The Open eBook specification is to provide a specification for representing the content of electronic books to these viewers. The specification is based on HTML and XML, the same core languages that define the World Wide Web, and is designed to allow publishers and authors to deliver their material in a single format. In this paper, we design and implement the viewer that can support OEB(Open eBook) standard. Viewer is composed parser part and display part. In audition, we add some functions - the book shelf, the bookmark and the dictionary - for convenience of readers.

High level of reliability in facility operation is specifically required these days. The goal of this study is to secure a methodology for reliability analysis of hydro-power plant so that an appropriate decision for operation and investment can be made. Fault tree analysis of water supply system within hydro-power plant has been performed in this study. We briefly examined the electric power generation facility and water supply system. We then developed fault tree for the water supply system based on failure modes and effects analysis. We conclude this study and provided future research areas.
펄스 SiH₄플라즈마 화학기상증착 공정에서 입자 성장에 대한 펄스 변조의 영향

We analyzed systematically particle growth in the pulsed SiH_4 plasmas by a numerical method and investigated the effects of pulse modulations (pulse frequencics, duty ratios) on the particle growth. We considered effects of particle charging on the particle growth by coagulation during plasma-on. During plasma-on (t_(on)), the particle size distribution in plasma reactor becomes bimodal (small sized and large sized particles groups). During plasma-off (t_(off)), there is a single mode of large sized particles which is widely dispersed in the particle size distribution. During plasma on, the large sized particles grows more quickly by fast coagulation between small and large sized particles than during plasma-off. As the pulse frequency decreases, or as the duty ratio increases, t_(on) increases and the large sized particles grow taster. On the basis of these results, the pulsed plasma process can be a good method to suppress efficiently the generation and growth of particles in SiH_(4) PCVD process. This systematical analysis can be applied to design a pulsed plasma process for the preparation of high quality thin films.

Recently, the humidity adjustment of indoor air is of great importance in air conditioning system as a applied, in buildings, vehicles, and containers for storage and transport of perishable products. Membrane dehumidification or air is potentially attractive because it offers low capital and operating costs, along with low energy consumption. And membrane dehumidification process attracted the attention of the public instead of the other dehumidification processes, such as adsorption, absorption, and refrigeration cycles and so on. In this study, the prepared hydrophilic inorganic membrane-based dehumidifiers (membrane air dehumidification) examined the performance of dehumidification. The surface-modified inorganic membrane prepared in this study showed high dehumidification efficiency (over 80%). Thc membrane might be very useful for dehumidification industries.
