연구목적 본 연구는 국립극장 특별기획공연 총체극 <우루왕>에 나타난 무가 양상을 고찰하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법 <우루왕>을 개관한 후, <리어왕>과 <바리데기>의 서사구조를 진단해 작품에 나타난 무가 양상을 진단했다. 연구결과 바리데기의 영혼 천도, 굿을 통한 예언 청취, 바리데기의 효심등을 확인할 수 있었다. 결론 셰익스피어의 <리어왕>과 한국의 <바리데기> 설화가 결합된 산물인<우루왕>에는 동서양의 무속 신화적 요소들이 내재되어 있는 바, 무가 양상이 구현됨을 확인했다. Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine the pattern of shamanic songs in the National Theater's special planned performance <Wuru Wang>. Methods After the opening of <Wuru Wang>, he diagnosed the narrative structure of <King Lear> and <Baridegi> and diagnosed the shamanic dance pattern in the work. Results Baridegi's soul, listening to prophecies through gut, and Baridegi's filial piety were confirmed. Conclusion <Wuru Wang>, a combination of Shakespeare's <King Lear> and Korea's <Baridegi> folktales, contains the elements of shamanistic mythology from the East and the West, confirming that the shamanic dance pattern is realized.

A side mirror is an important safety tool with which the driver can observe objects out of sight. This paper presents an organized design technology for the side mirror of improved vibration characteristics. Resonance response to forced vibration is critical to observability through the mirror to be designed. This study aims at the reduction of vibration level by the modification of mirror structures and consequent effects are predicted by computer simulations. We used a three-dimensional solid modeling and the modal and frequency analysis ; Pro/Engineer is used as a solid modeler; Pro/Mechanica for vibration analysis. The simulation results are compared with those obtained in experiemnts to check the validity by the three-dimensional modeling. The design technique of side mirror has been established and found to be effective in vibration analysis of redesigned parts.

Rapid Regression of White Matter Changes in Hypoglycemic Encephalopathy

Purpose : In a previous report, it took several days for white matter lesions to regress in hypoglycemic encephalopathy. We present a case of rapid diffusion-weighted image (DWI) changes in hypoglycemic encephalopathy. Case Report: A 58-year-old male patient was found semi-comatous with the only abnormality in his laboratory testsshowing hypoglycemia (44 mg/dL). After rapid correction of glucose level, immediate brain DWI showed bilateral subcorticalwhite matter lesions. After about 5 hours, follow-up DWI showed resolved subcortical white matter lesions, withnewly-appeared bilateral fronto-temporo-parietal cortical lesions. Conclusion: Both white matter and cortex involvement in hypoglycemic encephalopathy has been shown in severalreports, but rapid regression of white matter changes in hypoglycemic encephalopathy has been rarely reported. It isimportant to know that MR imaging changes in hypoglycemic encephalopathy can be made as quick as just a few-hourlong.

Background: Data illustrating the impact of atopic dermatitis (AD) on lives of adults withAD in South Korea are limited. Objective: To assess the AD disease severity and its impact on quality of life (QoL) in patientswith AD from South Korea. Methods: Patients with AD utilizing the specialist dermatology services of major hospitals inSouth Korea were assessed for disease severity using Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI)score, for QoL using Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) (for QoL), and for comorbiditiesand treatment experience via retrospective review of 12-month medical records. Clinical andsociodemographic characteristics were also measured. Results: Of the 1,163 patients, 695 (59.8%) were men (mean age [years]±standard devia-tion: 31.6±12.1). Overall, 52.9% (n=615) patients had moderate-to-severe disease (EASI>7). The QoL of 72.3% (n=840) patients was affected moderately-to-severely (DLQI score: 6~30). Systemic immunosuppressants were used ≥1 over past 12 months in 51.9% (n=603) patients,and the most commonly used were cyclosporines (45.7%, n=531) and systemic corticosteroids(40.5%, n=471). Approximately, 10.8% (n=126) patients consulted or received treatment forAD-related eye problem. Of these, 40% (n=50) patients reported poor, very poor, or complete-ly blind status; approximately, 16.7% patients (n=192) reported having depression or anxiety;and 35.5% (n=410) reported suicidal ideation or suicidal attempt. Conclusion: A large proportion of patients had moderate-to-severe AD, a compromisedQoL, and ocular or mental health comorbidities, indicating a high disease burden despite sys-temic treatment. These findings highlight the importance of a holistic approach for the evalu-ation and treatment of patients with AD.
