In this study, To investigate the antioxidant activities of Rhaponticum uniflorum extracts (RUE), we assessed scavenging activities on DPPH, ABTS radicals, and reducing power. The DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities (SC50) of RUE were 96.97±1.19 μg/mL and 31.26±0.13 μ g/mL, respectively, and the reducing power significantly increased dose-dependent manner. To study the antioxidant effecters of RUE in H₂O₂ induced human keratinocytes, expression of Nuclear factor erythroid-2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) and heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) were determined by Western blot and qRT-PCR. RUE induced the expression of HO-1, a critical target enzyme of Nrf2, in a concentration-dependent manner. The expression of HO- 1 mRNA was also induced in H₂O₂-treated HaCaT cells but no significant difference in the level of HO-1 mRNA was observed. Taken together, these results suggest that RUE may be useful as a potential ingredient for anti-aging products.
다축 제어용 가진기의 구동 소프트웨어 개발 및 보정에 관한 연구

자동차의 신제품 개발 사이클이 짧아짐에 따라 설계에서부터 개발, 시험에 이르기까지 막대한 비용이 소모되고 있다. 특히, 비용측면 뿐만 아니라 개발시간을 줄일 수 있는 방법이 선호된다. 본 논문은 자동차용 구조부품인 현가장치의 경우처럼 피칭, 롤링, 바운싱이 고려되어야 하는 부재들과 볼조인트처럼 유연하게 다각도로 회전하는 부재들의 하중, 피로 및 내구성을 시험하기 위하여 전후방향(Y축), 좌우방향(Z축), 상하방향(X축)의 다축 제어용 가진기(3DVTD)를 이용하여 복합적인 요소와 변수들을 입력하며 원하는 출력 데이터만을 도출할 수 있도록 동시 3축을 제어할 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하여 가진시의 하중과 변위의 출력값을 출력하여 비교 검증하였다. In the recent day, fatigue life prediction techniques play a major role in the design of components in the ground vehicle industry. Full scale durability testing in the laboratory is an essential of any fatigue life evaluation of components or structure of the automotive vehicle. Component testing is particularly important in today's highly competitive industries where the design to reduce weight and production costs must be balanced with the necessity to avoid expensive service failure. Generally, multi-axis vibration testing device is used to carry out the fatigue test. In this paper, the operation software for simultaneously driving 3-axis simulator is developed and the real-time signals of input-output data are displayed in window of PC. Moreover, the displacements and the loads of 3-axis actuators are calibrated separately and the operating characteristics of the actuators are evaluated.
3축 제어용 시뮬레이터의 로드 프로파일 재현 소프트웨어 개발

실제 운동조건과 같은 환경을 제공하는 다축 제어용 시뮬레이터는 설계나 평가에 있어 대단히 편리하면서도 경제적인 이점을 제공하여 준다. 일반적으로 완성차의 경우 설계에서부터 개발, 실험에 이르기까지 시간과 개발과정에 막대한 비용이 소모되고 있다. 그리고 자동차 부품업체에서는 완성차업체의 부품 검사서의 요구에 의해 시뮬레이터를 구비하고자 노력하고 있으나, 재현소프트웨어의 미비로 어려움을 겪고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문은 개발된 프로그램을 이용하여 기아자동차의 내구로(belgian road), 대우자동차의 도시로(city road), 고속도로(highway), 자갈로(gravel road)등의 신호를 입력하여 실제 실험을 수행함으로서 로드 프로파일 재현 소프트웨어의 타당성을 검증하였다. 이 과정에서 실험차량의 현가장치와 타이어가 비선형이기 때문에 초기 구동화일에 대한 응답신호는 요구되는 신호와 차이가 발생하였는데 이 오차는 반복 개선작업을 통하여 최소화시키면서 응답신호가 요구신호에 일치하도록 반복작업을 되풀이하였다. Generally, Hydraulic road simulator is used to carry out the fatigue test and the vibration test. In this paper, the algorithm and software to realize the real road profile are developed. The operation software for simultaneously controlled 3-axial simulator is developed and the input and output data are displayed window based PC controller in the real time. Futhermore, the software to generate the real road profile are developed. The validity of the software are verified by applying the belgian road, the city road the highway, and the gravel road. The results of the above experiment show that the real road profiles are realized well after 10th iteration. .
수용성 미셀용액에 가용화된 Acetanilide, p-diacetylbenzene 및 tetrabromo-p-quinone의 미세환경의 성질

Solubilization of some carbonyl compounds such as acetanilide, p-diacetylbenzene and tetrabromo-p-quinone was investigated in a variety of aqueous micellar solutions by UV spectrophotometric method. The good linear relationship was obsorved between υ(n→π*)of these carbonyl compounds and solvent polarity parameter, ??, of some pure solvents. Themicroenvironmental polarity of these carbonyl compounds depended on the ionic properties of the surfactants, and decreased as cationic > anionic > nonionic.

Solubilization of some carbonyl compounds such as acetanilide, p-diacetylbenzene and tetrabromo-p-quinone was investigated in a variety of reversed micellar solutions by UV spectrophotometric method. In the reversed micellar solutions used cyclohexane as a solvent, the microenvironmental polarity of these carbonyl compounds decreased as DAP> DAB> DAC> DAL By adding water into the reversed micellar solution, the polarity of the site for the solibilizate became higher.

This study was aimed to find what impacts the combined training of circuit weight training and swimming training can give to the competing power of swimming athletes and their respiratory functions and to provide the basic data for preparing the desirable training program to shorten swimming records through 14 girl swimming athletes, a group of 7 athletes in circuit weight training and another 7 in swimming training and the following conclusions were obtained: 1. Swimming and Circuit training groups showed, before and after 12 week training, the changes of muscular strength: grasping power (p<.001), back muscle (p<.01), arm extensor (p<.05), leg extensor (p<.05), leg curl extensor (p<.01), broad jump (p<.05) increased espectively than those of swimming training group and which were more effective. 2. In the comparison between groups, the meaningful difference appeared in swimming training groups, showing grasping power (p<.01), back muscular strength (p<.01), arm extensor (p<.05), leg extensor (p<.01), leg extensor (p <.01) 3. In the changes of competition record, in swimming and circuit training group, before and after 12 week training, meaningful increases appeared by 50m record(p<.05), 200m record (p<.05) 4. In the changes of competition record, as for the comparison between groups, meaning ful increases, 50m record (p<.05), 200m record (p<.05) appeared.
서울의 Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae 발생빈도(1998)

In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae(PPNG), we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by menas of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. In 1998, 93 strians of N. genorrhoeae were isolated, among which 60(64.5%) were PPNG. The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 64.5% in 1998.
