This study aims to investigate how health belief of adult female users of the health training center affect health-promoting behavior through self-efficacy and exercise satisfaction. The proposed model is based on health belief model of Rosenstock et al. To validate the proposed model, PLS analysis is performed with the valid 177 questionnaires collected from Seoul and nearby cities. The results are as follows. First, perceived severity has a positive effect on self-efficacy, not on exercise satisfaction. Second, perceived susceptibility does not has a positive effect on both self-efficacy and exercise satisfaction. Third, perceived barriers has a positive effect on self-efficacy, not on exercise satisfaction. Fourth, perceived susceptibility has a positive effect on both self-efficacy and exercise satisfaction. Fifth, self-efficacy has a positive effect on exercise satisfaction and health-promoting behavior. Sixth, exercise satisfaction has a positive effect on health promoting behavior.

To design gene delivery systems which can deliver higher amounts of genes into stem cells, we studied the expression of receptors involved in the receptor-mediated endocytosis of bone marrow stromal stem cells. Bone marrow was isolated from ICR mice, and bone marrow stromal stem cells were isolated based on their plastic adherence property. Several cultrure conditions were screened for effective and continuous culture of marrow stromal stem cells. MesenCult medium was finally used to cultivate marrow stromal stem cells in vitro. As candidate receptors, various chemokine receptors were studied. Both bone marrow cells and marrow-derived stromal stem cells showed expression of CC chemokine receptors (CCR) and CXC chemokine receptors (CXCR). Marrow stromal stem cells showed higher expression of CCR5 and CXCR4 chemokine receptors as compared to other types of chemokine receptors. Moreover, though the expression chemokine receptors generally decreased in most chemokine receptors with the cultivation of marrow stromal stem cells, CCR5 and CXCR4 chemokine receptors retained the higher lever of receptor expressions over prolonged periods. These results suggest that the ligands exhibiting specific binding to CCR5 or CXCR4 might be used to modify gene delivery systems for increased level of receptor-mediated gene delivery into stromal stem cells.

이탈리아의 민법개정운동과 커먼즈 규약 그리고 커먼즈의 정치

Commons is understood as a dynamic system of user groups with certain boundaries, resources that they use jointly through autonomy and cooperation, and their management systems. However, the commons had not only the dimension of autonomy and cooperation, but also the dimension of universal rights. The various forms of commons have provided all people with necessities for livelihood and survival, and the universal right to access and use commons has been guaranteed through the laws and ideology of commons. The restoration of the universal dimension of commons lost in the process of modernization is also important for the creation of modern urban commons. An example of the restoration of universal rights to Commons under the conditions of modern cities can be said to be the process of Italy's Civil Code revision movement, occupation movement, and creation of the Commons Regulations. The amendment to the Civil Code stipulated that goods functional to the exercise of basic human rights and the free development of individuals were categories of commons, and legally guaranteed the possibility of public or private property being converted into commons. What made the purpose of this reform a reality was the occupation movement of citizens who were not recognized for their qualifications for the commons, and the rules of the commons created by the city government and citizens. The series of processes carried out in Italy well demonstrates the constitutional and constitutional nature of the politics of the commons in institutionalizing universal rights to the commons. 커먼즈는 일정한 경계를 지닌 이용자 집단이 자치와 협력을 통해 공동으로 이용하는 자원 및 그 관리제도의 역동적 체계로서 이해되고 있다. 그런데 커먼즈는 이러한자치와 협력의 차원뿐만 아니라 보편적 권리의 차원 역시 지니고 있었다. 다양한 형태의 커먼즈들은 모든 인민들에게 생계와 생존을 위한 필수재를 제공해 왔으며, 커먼즈에 접근하고 이용할 수 있는 보편적 권리는 커먼즈의 법과 통치이념을 통해 보장되었다. 근대화 과정에서 소실된 커먼즈의 보편적 차원의 회복은 현대 도시 커먼즈의생성에도 중요하다. 현대 도시의 조건 속에서 커먼즈에 대한 보편적 권리의 회복을보여주는 사례가 이탈리아의 민법개정운동과 물 국민투표와 점거운동 그리고 커먼즈 규약의 생성 과정이라고 할 수 있다. 민법개정안은 인간의 기본권 행사와 개인의자유로운 발전에 기능적인 재화를 커먼즈의 범주로 명문화하고, 공적이거나 사적인재산이 커먼즈로 전환될 수 있는 가능성을 법적으로 보장했다. 이러한 개혁안의 취지를 현실화한 것은 커먼즈로서의 물에 대한 국민투표와 커먼즈에 대한 자격을 인정받지 못한 시민들의 점거운동 및 도시정부와 시민들이 창안한 커먼즈 규약이었다. 이탈리아에서 진행된 일련의 과정은 커먼즈에 대한 보편적 권리를 제도화하는 데 커먼즈의 정치가 수행한 구성적이며 제헌적인 성격을 잘 보여주고 있다.

動機와 몸짓 : 朴外仙 선생님의 교재중에서

동기 없는 동작은 생각할 수 없다. 어떤 힘이 있어서 자세 변화의 원인이 되는 것이다. 이것은 무용 뿐 아니라 일반 물질계에도 적용된다. 동작의 중지는 곧 죽음이며 동작을 하고 있다는 것은 살아있는 인간임을 나타내는 것이다. 동작은 어떤 목적이 있어야 하며 어떤 단순한 움직임일지라도 이유없이 움직여질 수는 없다. 기교적 무용일지라도 물론 어떤 동기가 있다. 기교적 무용가는 “나는 내 신체에 대하여 아주 숙련하기 때문에 육체적 솜씨로 현혹시킬 수 있다”고 말한다. 이 말도 어느정도 타당하며 진정한 대가의 무용을 우리는 즐길 수도 있다. 그러나 이러한 것은 사실 속임수거나 재주넘기의 범위에 속하며 섬세한 심미적 취향이 따르지 않는다면 예술의 범주에 속할 수 없을 것이다. 정말로 둔하고 참을 수 없는 무용은 단지 생생하다는 사실 이상의 아무것도 지니지 못한 아주 평범한 기교가의 무용이다. 안무가가 어떤 묘한 동작의 아이디어를 그의 작품에 부러 넣을 수 있다면 기교가 없는 것도 어느 정도 무마될 수 있을 것이다. 이것은 특별히 오늘 날의 실정이다. 무용가라면 웬만한 정도로부터 아주 훌륭한 정도에 이르기까지 기교를 갖고 있기 때문이다. 기교가는 흔해빠져 있다. 그러므로 "어떤것" 이 이 기교를 더 가치있게 하도록 부가되어야 할 것이며 그 어떤 것이 바로 동기인 것이다.

Early Assessment of Response to Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy with 18F-FDG-PET/CT in Patients with Advanced-Stage Ovarian Cancer

Purpose The aim of this study was to evaluate the ability of sequential 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG-PET/CT) after one cycle of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) to predict chemotherapy response before interval debulking surgery (IDS) in advanced-stage ovarian cancer patients. Materials and Methods Forty consecutive patients underwent 18F-FDG-PET/CT at baseline and after one cycle of NAC. Metabolic responses were assessed by quantitative decrease in the maximum standardized uptake value (SUVmax) with PET/CT. Decreases in SUVmax were compared with cancer antigen 125 (CA-125) level before IDS, response rate by Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors criteria before IDS, residual tumor at IDS, and I chemotherapy response score (CRS) at IDS. Results A 40% cut-off for the decrease in SUVmax provided the best performance to predict CRS 3 (compete or near-complete pathologic response), with sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of 81.8%, 72.4%, and 72.4%, respectively. According to this 40% cut-off, there were 17 (42.5%) metabolic responders (≥ 40%) and 23 (57.5%) metabolic non-responders (< 40%). Metabolic responders had higher rate of CRS 3 (52.9% vs. 8.7%, p=0.003), CA-125 normalization (< 35 U/mL) before IDS (76.5% vs. 39.1%, p=0.019), and no residual tumor at IDS (70.6% vs. 31.8%, p=0.025) compared with metabolic non-responders. There were significant associations with progression-free survival (p=0.021) between metabolic responders and non-responders, but not overall survival (p=0.335). Conclusion Early assessment with 18F-FDG-PET/CT after one cycle of NAC can be useful to predic response to chemotherapy before IDS in patients with advanced-stage ovarian cancer.

Outcomes of Non-High Grade Serous Carcinoma after Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy for Advanced-Stage Ovarian Cancer: Single-Institution Experience

Purpose: Outcomes in patients with ovarian high-grade serous carcinoma (HGSC) treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC) have been widely studied; however, there is limited information on responses to chemotherapy among patients with non-HGSC. The aim of this study was to compare the survival outcomes of patients with advanced-stage non-HGSC and HGSC treatedwith NAC. Materials and Methods: This study was a retrospective analysis of patients with advanced-stage ovarian cancer treated at YonseiCancer Hospital between 2006 and 2017. The demographics, chemotherapy response, and survival rates were compared betweenpatients with non-HGSC and those with HGSC. Results: Among 220 patients who underwent NAC, 25 (11.4%) patients had non-HGSC histologic subtypes, and all received ataxane-platinum combination regimen for NAC. Patients with non-HGSC had lower baseline cancer antigen-125 levels (p<0.001),poorer response rates (p<0.001), lower rates of optimal cytoreduction (p=0.003), and poorer progression-free survival (PFS) (medianPFS 10.3 months vs. 18.3 months; p=0.009) and overall survival (OS) (median OS 25.5 months vs. 60.6 months; p<0.001),compared to those with HGSC. In multivariate analysis, non-HGSC was a negative prognostic factor for both PFS [hazard ratio(HR), 3.19; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.73–5.88] and OS (HR, 4.22; 95% CI, 2.07–8.58). Conclusion: In this study, poorer survival outcomes were observed in patients who underwent NAC for treatment of non-HGSCversus those treated for HGSC. Different treatment strategies are urgently required to improve survival outcomes for patients withnon-HGSC undergoing NAC.
