        In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae(PPNG), we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by menas of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. In 1998, 93 strians of N. genorrhoeae were isolated, among which 60(64.5%) were PPNG. The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 64.5% in 1998.

        HEC-RAS/GIS를 이용한 홍수 범람지역 분석

        The purpose of the study was to construct a forecast system of flood inundation area at natural stream channels. The study built the system to interpret the flood inundation area in four stages ; constructing topography data around the stream channel, interpreting flood discharge, interpreting flood elevation in the stream channel, and interpreting the flood inundation and mapping. According to the result of the analysis, as for the characteristic of flood inundation around the area within the purview of this study, although there were areas where flood inundation over a bank caused a flooded area, the failure of the internal drainage in the ground lower than flood elevation caused more serious problems. Rather than the existing method where only the estimated flood elevation data is used based on the hydrographical stream channel trace model(such as the HEC-RAS model) to establish the flood inundation area, if the procedure introduced in this study was applied to interpret the floodplain, actual flood inundation area could be visibly confirmed.

        4-vessel occlusion으로 誘發한 흰쥐 前腦虛血의 神經細胞 損傷에 대한 大黃의 防禦效果

        Neuroprotective and prophylatic neuroprotective effects of the Rhei Rhizoma on the rat's transient forebrain ischemia caused by 4-vessel-occlusion are concluded as following. 1. The neuroprotective effects of i.p. injection and oral administration on the neuronal density of hypothermic rats in the CA1 region of the hippocampus 7 days after 10-minute 4-BO. provided significant neuroprotection at the dose of 500 and 1000 ㎎/㎏. 2. The neuroprotective effects of Rhei Rhizoma extracts i.p. injection and oral administration on the neuronal density of normothermic rats in the CA1 region of the hippocampus 7 days after 10-minute 4-VO. provided significant neuroprotection at the dose of 500 and 1000 ㎎/㎏ against the ischemia-induced cell death when i.p injection and administration was initiated immediately after occlusion. 3. The prophylactic neuroprotective effects of Rhei Rhizoma extracts i.p. injection and oral administration pretreatment on the neuronal density of hypothermic rats in the CA1 region of the hippocampus 7 days after 10-minute 4-VO, provided significant prophylactic neuroprotection at the dosage of 500 and 1000 ㎎/㎏ against the ischemia-induced cell death when i.p. injection administration was initiated immediately after occlusion. 4. The prophylactic neuroprotective effects of Rhei Rhizoma extracts i.p. injection and oral administration pretreatment on the neuronal densith of normothermic rats in the CA1 region of the hippocampus 7 days after 10-minute 4-VO. provided significant prophylactic neuroprotection at the dosage of 1000 ㎎/㎏ against the ischemia-induced cell death when i.p. injection and administration was initiated immediately after occlution. According to the above results, Rhei Rhizoma has showed neruoprotective and prophylatic neuroprotective effects on the rats' transient forebrain ischemia caused by 4-vessel-occlusion. Therefore Rhei Rhizoma is recommended to be used for the prevention and curing of ischamia diseases.

      • 척추경 나사못을 이용한 척추 유합술에서 고정범위에 따른 인접 추간판의 압축 거동 분석

        요추부 척추에 기구를 시술한 유한요소 복합체 모델을 이용하여 제 4-5 요추간판에 대한 해석을 수행한 결과, 근육의 작용을 케이블과 케이블 가이드로써 단순화 모사한 follower 하중에서 수직하중인 경우보다 높은 압축력을 나타내어 더욱 안정함을 보였고 불안정성의 원인이 되는 전단력과 굽힘모멘트의 발생은 미미하였다. 장분절 고정에 의한 인접 분절에 전단력이 증가됨을 실험적으로 보였는데, 이는 장분절 고정이 퇴행성 변화 촉진에 기여할 것으로 추정된다. Background: Confirm the stability of intervertebral disc sustaining each fused lumbar spine cases, comparing vertical compression, A-P shear force and rotational moment on intervertebral disc of instrumented lumbar spine with simple vertical compression load and follower load using finite element analysis. Materials and Methods: We analyze the stability of intervertebral disc L4-5 supporting fused lumbar spine segments. After performing finite element modelling about L1-L5 lumbar vertebral column and L1-L4 each fusion level pedicle screw system for fused lumbar spine fine element model. Intervertebral discs with complex structure and mechanical properties was modeled using spring element that compensate stiffness and tube-to-tube contact element was employed to give follower load. Performing geometrical non-linear analysis. Results: The differences of intervertebral disc L4-5 behavior under the follower compression load in comparision with vertical compression load are as follows. Conclusion: As a result of finite element interpretation of interpretation of instrumented lumbar spine, the stability of L4-5 sustaining fused lumbar segment, the long level fused lumbar spine observed hing stability under follower load. This research method can be the basis tool of effects prediction for instrumentation, a invention of a more precious finite element interpretation model which consider the role of muscle around the spine is loaded.

        According to the growth of national economy, the positive participation of regional residents is urgently requested, but a organization and a enforcement company have planned and carried on sidely up to now most development enterprises of tourist resort without regional residents' participation in a development process. In the progess to develop a tourist resort henceforth, realizing these problems, I am going to grope the resident's participation device in order to be able to become efficient development enterprises through positive resident's participation in studying these problems henceforth. Above all, through a theoretical background, I set up an idea on residents' participation in developing a tourist resort and in the process, looked into the resident's participation in the city planning system which is same kind of planning system. And then I surveyed the style of the tourist resort development, I analyzed evaluation of location for tourist resort by GIS. And through the question investigation on the regional residents, I grasped and analyzed the real situation in the process of the tourist resort development, and then I found out those problems. Based upon them, I arranged the efficient residents' participation device in the tourist resort development process as the following conclusion. Fist, regional residents themselves should raise the concern about the tourist development and activate regional organizations so that can play a leading role in the education of regional residents and in their activities. Second, for the efficient residents' participation to be achieved in establishment stage of the tourist resort development planning, the residents' participation should be institutionalized by the various related lows. Third, in order that people who owned the land in a target area take part in development at firsthand, they will be able to use the method to develop, introducing the joint development enterprise with land owners, the development method by land trust, and the development method by Joint-Sector etc. By doing so, We can bring about protecting the rights and interests, and increasing the income of regional residents, with their positive participation in the process that develops the tourist resort henceforth. At the result, we can forecast that a little better efficient tourist resort development will be accomplished.

      • 셀레늄이 반추위내 발효특성과 착유우의 유량 생산에 미치는 영향

        Two consecutive experiments were conducted in this study to find the effects of adding selenium into ruminant diets by sources(NaSeO3, Se-proteinate) and levels (0.5ppm, 1ppm) ; in vitro experiment using rumen fluid on rumen fermentation characteristics and in vivo experiment using 15 dairy cows on milk yield. 1. In in vitro study, diets including 3kg concentrate, 8kg TMR, 2.5kg timothy and 1.5kg rice straw added by selenium were incubated in ruminal fluid and it showed after 48 hour incubation that DM digestibilities were higher in selenium added diets than control group however with no statistical significance ; control (C) 49.26%, 0.5ppm inorganic additives (0.5IS) 64.15%, 1ppm inorganic additives (1IS) 60.82%, 0.5ppm organic additives (0.5OS) 54.48, 1ppm organic additives (10S) 60.88%. NH3 concentrations after 48 hour incubation, were 12.16 in C, 14.33 and 12.19 in 0.5IS and 1IS and 13.57 and 10.88mg/100m1 in 0.5OS and 1OS, respectively but without statistically significant difference. 2. In in vivo experiment using dairy cows, the diets of 10kg concentrate, 3.2kg Alfalfa, 1kg Timothy, 2kg cotton seed, 2.1kg beet pulp, and 1kg Sudan grass added by selenium in different sources and levels were provided. Milk yields were revised as percentage on the basis of pre-experiment records. Milk yield in 4 week period when selenium feeding was stopped, C decreased by 3.08% and 0.5IS and 1IS decreased by 6.41 and 8.43% respectively, but 0.50S and 10S increased by 3.01 and 6.26% (P<0.05), respectively. 3. From the above results, no effects of selenium, in vitro appeared on fermentation characteristics in the rumen, however in vivo experiment showed that organic selenium source (Se-proteinate) increased milk yields of dairy cows.
