        Short memory models for generating synthetic series are illustrated by Application to the monthly streamflow data at Waegwan gauging station of Nakdong river basin and monthly precipitation data at Daegu meteoroligical station. Autoregressive (AR, Thomas Fiering)Model, Autoregressive moving average (ARMA) Model and Autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) Model are considered here. On the assumption of stationary covariance of the time independent series (in AR, ARMA process) and the differenced (in ARIMA process) monthly river flows and precipitations.

      • 자연하도의 피복상태에 따른 수리ㆍ수문학적 특성변화 연구

        In this study, the hydraulic characteristics variation of flood level caused by covering condition in channel section is evaluated through the examination and analysis of backwater characteristics according to the assumption on vegetaton covering condition follows the selection of a section in a natural channel within urban area where the improvement is completed. The study channel is Sinchun runs through the center of Taegu metreopolitan city. For the analysis, the comparative examination of runoff characteristics depend on riverside condition performed for the flood level of the most upstream point, velocity, and energy line of study channel when the project flood flows. The results are as follows. 1) In case that the covering condition of the riverside highlands is changed, the variation range of the hydraulic characteristics for the increasement range of the roughness coefficient becomes large at the early stage but getting smaller as times passes. Namely, it is found that the roughess cofficient is getting smaller like an exponential function as the height rate of covering trees according to the depth in the riverside highlands smaller. 2) It is found that the variation range of the hydraulic characteristics according to the increasement of the vegetative area rate in case that the vegetative rate increaes 10%∼70% in both riverside highlands is large the early stage but getting smaller. Therefore, it is found that the precise hydraulic computation is needed in case that the pro-natural channel considers the vegetation covering condition is planned for the establishment of the river improvement plan, and it is required to study on analysis of hydraulic characteristics according to the vegetation.

        This Study attempts to develop a integrated optimal reservoir operation model with State Incremental Dynamic Programming(SIDP) model. The integrated reservoir operation in the river basin is manily carried out to reduce flood damage by storm in the basin area. In this study, the integrated reservoir operation for reservoirs, Andong, Imha, Hapchun and Namkang Dam, located in Nakdong Ruver Basin as developed by using the SIDP which is one of the Optimization technique. A point of computational time and utility efficiencies, the analysis of integrated reservoir operation which is based on the SIDP model produces good results. For more better results produced, the supplement of channel routing algorism and reservoir inflow algorism with watershed routing, may be produce better reservoir operation rule.

        The study aims at the derivation of the design flood of ungauged river basin from the basin chasacteristics such as basin area, channel length, basin breadth, basin shape and channel slope. Where 9 gauging stations in Nakdong River basin are selected for this study. The Derivation of the design flood formulas analysis are based on the stepwise multiple regression and regional frequency analysis. Based on the record of past peak discharge, the probable occurrence of future peak discharge can be estimated according to the probability distribution. Each set of discharge is then correlated with basin parameters, using stepwise multiple regression analysis.

        The purpose of this study is to clarify the Hydraulic and Hydrologic characteristics of the loss of river facilities by the inundation extent of the low area and the flood, and topresent standards in order to set up the countermove, by executing analysis of hourly inundation depth variation on the low area according to the frequency-based rainfall to which Synthetic unit hydrograph is applied with object of the low areas around actual rivers. Therefore, the analysis of inundation depth using Synthetic unit hydrograph method of this study can be used for a method of a basic analysis technique to prevent the inundation of similar small and middle river areas and a methode of getting a simple and very accurate as well hereafter. and also if the method used here in this study is utilized, it can be a lot of help to minimize the flood damage by briefly providing the rough and prior information of the flood-expected area and the inundation-expected area among the wide area in case of an abnormal torrential rain.

From the results of the above study on the variation of the hydraulic characteristics according to the vegetation and the covering condition in channel section, it is known that the hydraulic characteristics when the project flood flows in channel have close relationship with the section properties and the slope of channel.

      • 하천유량의 모의발생에 관한 연구

        In this study, statistical characteristics of monthly runoff series are compared and examined from the simulation of monthly runoff using the autoregressive model, the auto regressive moving average model and autoregressive integrated moving average model, which are the stochastic models of hydrologic time series, with the observed data during 30 years as the monthly runoff data at Koryunggyo station of Nakdong-river basin to establish stochastic simulation model. The results are as follows. 1) It is known that the runoff series of Koryunggyo station have the hydrological continuity from the correlograms in case of removing the periodic factors from the observed runoff series and simulated runoff series, and that the applications of each model are appropriate. 2) It is known that AR(1), ARMA(1,1) simulate the observed runoff series most efficiently in the mean, the standard deviation, and the skewness from the result of comparison the simulated statistical values of monthly runoff data with the statistical values of the observed monthly runoff data by each model.

        The computation of gradually-varied-flow profiles involves basically the solution of the dynamic equation of gradually varied flow. The main objective of the computation is to determine the shape of the flow profile. Broadly classified, there are method of computation; namely, the graphical method, direct intergration method, and the step-by-step method. The development and procedure of direct intergration and step-by-step methods will be described in this paper.

        The purpose of this study is to develop a suitable hydraulic flood routing algorithm in the river basin by numerical method. In the flood routing models, the numerical analysis techniques which came from governing equations were derived and deformed from the basic equations of unsteady varid flow. The technique of numerical method was made use of the governing equations which was performed by the explicit method, the implicit method and the characteristic method. The proposed models which deal with the hydraulic flood routhing were applied to the Nakdong main stream, and which were computed flood hydrographs. And the results shows that the numerical method is a suitable flood routing model in river basin.

        In this study, to improve the hydrologic environment of river basin, especily in the urban area. I is concluded as following the results of theoretical investmental analysis. 1. The excessive development in the river basin and consentration of population make the river basin worse in quality and quantity, so some plans are establised. 2. The civilization of river basin makes people worse in city life because precipitation runoff discharge increses rapidally, so the repairment of rivers near city and the technologially review of hydraulic structures should be taken. 3. To solve the problems of city-penitration inter-pipe line among cities project should be conducted like network and pipe-lines are broadnal because of incresement of storagy in pipe-lines. 4. Groundwater contaminent that is caused by the groundwater development in basin and to preven soil erusion the development of groundwater should be controlled 5. The prevention of ocean contaminant, the development in basin, the cooperation of divisions are taken. So according to the above results, We all do the best to improve the hydrologic environment, no the individual efforts and one department.
