        Insulation Coating of Fe–Si–Cr Soft Magnetic Powder by Selective Oxidation

        This study examines the insulation coating technology of Fe–Si–Cr powder via selective oxidation annealing, which oxidizeselements selectively by controlling the oxidation potential. The study calculated the oxidation driving force of Fe, Si, andCr, and conducted a thermodynamic analysis of oxidation and reduction conditions according to temperature and oxidationpotential. Based on the results, a selective oxidation annealing was performed in an atmosphere in which Fe is reduced andonly Si and Cr are selectively oxidized. The oxidation potential was controlled through the partial pressure ratio of hydrogenand water vapor. The XPS analysis results confirmed that a Si and Cr complex oxide layer formed on the powder surfaceafter the selective oxidation annealing. Afterward, withstanding voltages were analyzed to evaluate the insulation property. Then, the withstanding voltage of the powder applying the selective oxidation annealing increased significantly comparedto that of the initial powder. Further analysis showed that the powder annealed in an air atmosphere had a significantly lowersaturation magnetic flux density than the initial powder, while the powder applying the selective oxidation annealing hadonly a slightly reduced saturation magnetic flux density.

        In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae(PPNG), we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by menas of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. In 1998, 93 strians of N. genorrhoeae were isolated, among which 60(64.5%) were PPNG. The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 64.5% in 1998.

        위험도 정보를 이용한 Technical Specifications 개선을 위한 정량적 의사결정 방법론 연구

        The utility and the nuclear research institutes in korea have conducted research for improving inefficient requirements in technical specifications using the results of probability risk assessments and informations with risk. However, the guidance for reviewing the improved technical specifications has not been developed. The objective of this study is to develop a decision-making framework for investigating and reviewing the technical documents associated with the changes of technical specifications. This study has developed a decision-making framework for reviewing the improvements of the RI-TS(Risk-Informed Technical Specifications). This work may contribute to enhancing both the safety and the efficiency of nuclear power plants by changing Technical Specifications proposed by the utility.

        저품질의 데이터는 잘못된 의사결정을 초래하여 중요한 사업 기회를 놓쳐버리게 하거나 때로는 기업의 존폐 문제에 까지 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 대부분의 기업들은 데이터 품질 향상을 위한 전문 담당자를 배치하지 않고 있으며 신시스템 구축이나 데이터웨어하우스(DW), 고객관계관리(CRM) 구축 시 일시적인 데이터 정제(Data cleansing)를 실시하는 정도에 그치고 있으며, 데이터 품질의 중요성을 인지한 기업이라도 데이터 저품질로 인한 사업기회의 상실과 경제적인 손실이 가시적으로 당장 사업에 타격을 주는 것이 아니기 때문에 데이터 품질 관리에의 투자를 마지막 순위에 두는 경향이 있다. 본 연구는 먼저 데이터 품질 관리에 대한 정의를 정확히 하고 이를 기반으로 하여 국내 데이터 품질 관리의 실태를 파악한 후에 데이터 품질관리의 요소를 크게 데이터 품질 평가, 데이터 품질 관리 방법론, 데이터 품질관리 통제로 나누어 체계적인 데이터 품질 관리 방안을 연구하도록 한다.

        최근 8년간 K지방대학병원 응급실로 내원한 치과 응급환자에 관한 임상적 연구

        The delivery of the proper care to the emergency dental patients is more important in the aspdect of community dental service. To attain such a purpose requires the sacred duty to the training of oral and maxillofacial surgeons. This is a retrospective study on the characteristics of dental injuries and diseases in emergency patients. Ths study was based on a series of 2,649 patients treated as dental emergency patients at K country hospital of medical college, from Jan. 1, 1993, to Dec. 31, 2000. The obtained results were as follows. The trauma(71.6%) was the most frequent cause in dental emergency patients, odontogenic infection and oral hemorrhage were next in order of frequency. The primary interdental wiring and transpalatal wiring were frequent proper methods with rubber drainage for prevention of hemorrhage and infection in the primary care of jaw fracture. The peak incidence(45.0%) about the infection group was occurred in the pulpitis of advanced dental caries, and common treatments were the medication of antibiotics & anagesics and I&D. In the dentoalveolar hemorrhage group, a major cause was postoperative hemorrhage(57.9%) and hemostasis was obtained by pressure dressing, suture and drainage of infected wound. About TMJ disorder group, the peak incidence was showed in the post-traumatic myofascial pain dysfunction syndrome and its primary care was medications(anagesics & sedatives). In the other groups, various irritable specific pains were complained, such as trigeminal neuralgia-form pain, acute stomatitis, chemical burn, terminal stage neuritis of head & nech cancer and their primary care methods were various individually. For the rapid and correct care of the emergency dental disease above, well-trained education should be presented in the intern and resident curriculum of oral & maxillofacial surgery.

        근대적 이성의 이율배반 : 염상섭의 「E 先生」론 A Study on Yom Sangseop's "E Seonsaeng"

        Yom Sangseop's 「E Seonsaeng(선생)」 escapes his early work's mainstream tendency. His early trilogy is deeply connected with his experience of reading Japanese modem literature; otherwise 「E Seonsaeng」 is based on his real experience as teacher. In this work, the author discourses upon modernity with clearer voice. 「E Seonsaeng」 is divided six parts and has a space as 'school and home' and a time as 'one semester'. The protagonist E Seonsaeng has graduated from a university in Tokyo, and is employed as a teacher of eastern and western history, Japanese grammar, and Korean writing in X middle school. He suffers that his modem conception is frustrated by corrupted reality through Chinese cabbage patch and examination incidents. Chinese cabbage patch incident shows the moment of corresponding subject with world in esteem of E Seonsaeng's enlightened reason. Consequently the gymnastic teacher should resign over his mischievous design. On the case of examination, students falsify E Seonsaeng's intention and reject examination. After all they make E seonsaeng have to resign. Although these two incidents seem trivial, the other side of them is the point that discloses the incompatibility of two direction of modernity. The frustration of E Seonsaeng signifies the contradictory destiny of enlightened reason that implemental reason defeats essential one in their strained relation. But Yom Sangseop cannot apprehend this fact; hence his following works ascribe the cause of conflicting reasons to the universal human egotism.

        PVAc 라텍스 접착제의 열적 안정성에 대한 고찰

        Latex polymers are widely used for adhesive, binder, paint etc. Especially the PVAc(Polyvinyl acetate) latex which manufactured by vinyl acetate and vinyl alcohol as protective colloid is a useful environmentally friendly adhesive. To increase useful property of PVAc latex, this study was carried out for checking thermal characteristics and physical condition of PVAc latex by DSC, FT-IR, Pyrolyzer GC-MS. The activation energies of thermal decomposition for 40, 48, 56, 64% solid content of PVAc latex were found as 28.1~36.0kcal/mol by Kissinger's method and 17.2~22.0kcal/mol by DSC method. Actually, reasonable solid content could be consiered as 56% because of activation energy and adhesive characteristics. According to the effect of protective colloid for 4, 10, 15, 20wt%, the activation energy shows same tendency to both method and in case of 15wt% has been found as the highest activation energy. The mechanism of thermal decomposition was mainly estimated by main chain scission, not by side group on FT-IR analysis. Main component of Pyrolyzer GC-MS result were consisted of CH₃COOH, CH₃, H₂O and light gases(CO, CO₂, CH₄ etc).

      • 都市內 小公園이 갖는 意味에 대한 硏究 : 東崇洞 마로니에公園을 例로 한 都市的 意味에 대하여 Marronnie Park in Dongsung-dong, Seoul

        The purpose of this study on "Marronnie Park" in Seoul, is to find some factors for planning new park design in urban area, and is to find meaning of small park in urban space. The maronie park is located on the old area in Seoul, where was the Seoul National University in 1960ths. So, the historical meaning is the important point to citizens. The people, come to this park, likes this point and hoped to give more strong meaning to this point. This park was not designed, but the theatre and museum of Korean Culture and Art Fond was constructed in 1978 and 1980. As a result, the people, live in neighbor, became to gether this area, now the park is familiar to many habitants. This point is very imfortant to design new park, not artificial method. It is better to make small park area each 2㎞ in urban space. If there are some cultural facilities such as theatre, museum etc, the space of park become has a good quality and the scale of maronie park in now, is good for people, as a result of this study.
