In this study, I intend to suggest a scheme for the efficient administration of the urban infrastructure facilities, I propose a program to manage the ueban-related information more efficiently and to establish a more advanced system od database, by drawing up Digital Map using standard type to set up database. A scheme for geography is proposed, which can manage and maintain the facility, also modify, edit and output the attribute information of facility such as urban-planning. The topography, aerial photogrammetry map, and urban planning map of the concerned region can be got. Using them, the readjustment area and its height can be figured out based on the Digital Terrain Model. Also algorithm of trapezoidal formular should provide a better accuracy than simpson formular to earthwork volume in use.
낭종 적출후 악골 결손부 치유에 관한 동종골 이식 효과에 관한 연구

This study was aimed to suggest to better treatment method of jaw cyst that the maximum diameter was wider than 3cm, using different treatment and clinical and radiographic result. We divided the 60 patients into three groups, group A(20 patients) were treated with cyst enucleation and Decalcified Freeze-Dried Allogeneic Bone(DFDB) graft, group B(20 patients) were treated with cyst enucleation and autogenous bone graft, group C(20 patients) were treated with only cyst enucleation. Each group was evaluated with panramic radiograph and clinical sign & symptom at pre-op and post-op(immediate, 6, 12, 24, 36 month). Bone density was evaluated with disital densitometer. The result was as follows : 1. Post-Op infection was higher in group C(4 pts.) than in group A(1 pt.) and B(1 pt.) 2. Post-Op gingival recession was higher in group C(3 Pts.) than in group A(1 pt.) and B(1 pt.) 3. Anatomic distortion was higher in group C(3 Pt.) than in group A(1 Pt.), and B(1 pt.) 4. reoperation was done in two patients who were in group C 5. There were donor site morbidity in two patients 6. there was no significant difference between group A and B in their bony density in their follow up period(p>0.05). 7. There were significant differences between group A, B and group C in their bony density until post-op 24 months but a little differences at post-op 36 months(P<0.01)

Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been panedemic and remains one of the most commom STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Methods: For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results: In 1996, 139 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 53(39.0%) were PPNG. Conclusion: Our results suggests that after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is gradually declining.
피엣 스탁만(Piet Stockmans)의 작품에 관한 연구

본 연구는 현대도예의 영역 확장이라는 명제 안에서 피엣 스탁만의 작품이 가진 의의를 밝히고자 하는 것이다. 그는 기존의 전통적인 방식에서 벗어나 예술 활동의 산물인 작품과 산업 활동의 산물인 상품과의 접점을 잘 찾아 작업하고 있으며 일상생활에서 사용되는 실용도자기와 감상용 장식도자기를 넘어 예술행위로서 다양하고 확장된 영역을 보여주고 있다. 이 연구는 급변하는 인간의 삶 속에 현대도예가 기존의 고정관념을 깨고 미술 영역안에서 진화되어, 새로운 형식으로 발전하고 있는 상황에서 그 현상을 반영하고 있는 한 작가를 주목하게 되었다. 그는 자신만의 통찰력으로 과거 이래로 그어졌던 순수미술, 디자인 등 예술 분야의 경계를 허물며 정통적인 공예기법과 경험을 바탕으로 생활 속에 개입된 도예영역의 상호 연관성을 찾아 작품으로 표현하고 있다. 재료의 특성과 기법을 중시하여 실용성과 조형성, 수공성, 공간성 등 총체적으로 보여주고 있는 스탁만의 작품을 통해 다양한 도예 영역의 작품을 폭넓게 이해를 도모할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. 따라서 본 논문은 크게 두 부분으로 나누어 스탁만의 작품을 연구하였는데 제1장에서는 스탁만의 작품 활동과 조형개념을 다룸으로써 그의 작가적 배경과 작품의 이론적 토대를 살펴보고자 하였다. 제2장은 작품의 형식을 도예작업, 스튜디오 컬렉션, 산업디자인 작업 세 가지로 분류하여 연구함으로써 그의 작품에 나타나는 특징과 경향 그 의의를 고찰해 보고자 하였다. 그 결과 도자기의 대중성과 예술성을 동시에 확보를 꾀하는 피엣 스탁만의 작품은 도예와 대중과의 괴리를 극복하기 위한 도전과 도예영역의 확장을 위한 끊임없는 노력의 산물로서 그 의의를 가진다는 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. This research clarifies the significance of Piet Stockmans’ work within the proposition of extending the territory of Contemporary ceramic art. He escaped from the traditional way and is now working by finding the point of contact between work, which is the product of art activity, and goods, which is the product of industrial activity. Moreover, beyond the ordinary practical ceramics and decorative ceramics, he shows variety and extended area as art activities. This research focuses on one artist who broke the ordinary stereotype of contemporary potter within the changing human life, evolved within the area of art, and reflects the phenomenon of development with a new format. He, with his insight, got rid of the boundaries between the fields of arts like Fine Art and Design and expressed the correlation between the fields of ceramic art that is involved in our life as an art work with his experience and traditional craft techniques. Through Stockmans’ works, which show practicality, formativeness, skillfulness, and spaciousness, the work of various ceramic fields could be widely understood. Therefore, this thesis researched about Stockmans’ works by dividing into two parts. From first part, it tackles about Stockmans’ career and molding concept to observe his background as an artist and theoretical foundation of his works. From second part, characteristics, tendencies, and significances were discussed by classifying the type of work into three sections; Ceramic artworks, Studio collection, and Industrial designs. As a result, the fact that Piet Stockmans’ artwork, which attempted to secure popular appeal and artistry of ceramics, was a challenge to overcome the gap between ceramics and public and a product of an endless effort to extend the field of ceramic art can be concluded.

<B>Objective</B><P>Interleukin-32 (IL-32) is a recently discovered cytokine that appears to play a critical role in human rheumatoid arthritis (RA). It is highly expressed in synovium and fibroblast-like synoviocytes (FLS) from RA patients, but not in patients with osteoarthritis (OA). This study was undertaken to assess IL-32 levels in RA synovial fluid (SF) and to investigate the secretion and regulation of IL-32 in RA FLS.</P><B>Methods</B><P>FLS and SF were obtained from the joints of RA patients. The secretion and expression of IL-32 and activation of signaling molecules were examined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation, reverse transcriptase–polymerase chain reaction, and small interfering RNA (siRNA) transfection.</P><B>Results</B><P>IL-32 levels were high in RA SF compared with OA SF. Furthermore, RA FLS expressed and secreted IL-32 when stimulated with tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα). TNFα-induced expression of IL-32 was significantly suppressed, in a dose-dependent manner, by inhibitors of Syk, protein kinase Cδ (PKCδ), and JNK and by knockdown of these kinases and c-Jun with siRNA. We also observed that PKCδ mediated the activation of JNK and c-Jun, and experiments using specific inhibitors and siRNA demonstrated that Syk was the upstream kinase for the activation of PKCδ.</P><B>Conclusion</B><P>The present findings suggest that IL-32 may be a newly identified prognostic biomarker in RA, thereby adding valuable knowledge to the understanding of this disease. The results also demonstrate that the production of IL-32 in RA FLS is regulated by Syk/PKCδ-mediated signaling events.</P>
The Results of Proximal Femoral Nail for Intertrochanteric Fracture in Hemodialysis Patient

Purpose: Hip fractures in hemodialysis patients are accompanied by high rates of complications and morbidities. Previous studies have mainly reported on nonunion and avascular necrosis of femoral neck fractures in this patient group. In this study the complication and clinical results of hemodialysis patients with intertrochanteric fractures treated with proximal femoral intramedullary nailing have been investigated through comparison with patients with normal kidney function. Materials and Methods: Forty-seven patients were included; the hemodialysis group (n=17) and the control group with normal kidney function (n=30). The medical history and clinical findings including preoperative and postoperative blood examinations, radiological examinations and ambulatory status (measured using the Koval score). The rate of complications and morbidities were also investigated and compared. Results: Preoperative hemoglobin/hematocrit was lower but a significant increase in partial thromboplastin time was observed in the hemodialysis group. The amount of bleeding/transfusions were higher and operative time was longer in the hemodialysis group. Upon radiologic examination, there was no significant difference in rate of unstable fracture and nonunion between the two groups. However the postoperative Koval score was significantly worse and the odds ratio of inability to walk after surgery was 13.5 times higher in the hemodialysis group. Conclusion: There was no significant difference in radiological results, but the risk of inability to walk after surgery was 13.5 times higher in the hemodialysis group. Hemodialysis patients have more morbidities and are hemodynamically unstable therefore require special attention. Accurate reduction and firm fixation is required and attentive postoperative rehabilitation is needed.

<P>Interleukin (IL)-33 is a recently described pro-inflammatory cytokine. Here we demonstrate IL-33 as a regulator of functional osteoclasts (OCs) from human CD14(+) monocytes. IL-33 stimulates formation of tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP)(+) multinuclear OCs from monocytes. This action was suppressed by anti-ST2 antibody, suggesting that IL-33 acts through its receptor ST2, but not by the receptor activator of NF-κB ligand (RANKL) decoy, osteoprotegerin, or anti-RANKL antibody. IL-33 stimulated activating phosphorylations of signaling molecules in monocytes that are critical for OC development. These included Syk, phospholipase Cγ2, Gab2, MAP kinases, TAK-1, and NF-κB. IL-33 also enhanced expression of OC differentiation factors including TNF-α receptor-associated factor 6 (TRAF6), nuclear factor of activated T cells cytoplasmic 1, c-Fos, c-Src, cathepsin K, and calcitonin receptor. IL-33 eventually induced bone resorption. This study suggests that the osteoclastogenic property of IL-33 is mediated through TRAF6 as well as the immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif-dependent Syk/PLCγ pathway in human CD14(+) monocytes.</P>
