        한 합금공장에서 집단 발생환 급성 베릴륨 질환

        목적: 같은 공장에서 일했던 노동자들 중 원인미상의 급성 폐장염 2례가 발견된 것을 계기로 한 합금공장에서 집단 발생한 화학적 폐장염의 원인을 규명하기 위하여 역학조사를 실시하였다. 방법: 연구대상은 한 합금공장에서 일했던 생산직 노동자 45명 전원이었다. 작업환경측정 기록을 검토하고 일반 폐기능검사,흉부방사선 촬영,작업종료후 요중 베릴륨 농도측정을 포함한 특수건강진단을 실시하였고,유증상자와 유소견자 11명에 대하여 이차로 고해상도 컴퓨터 단층 촬영 및 폐확산능 검사를 실시하였다. 결과: 베릴륨의 공기 중 농도를 평가한 결과 베릴륨이 O.42∼112.3 μg/m³이었고, 요중 베릴륨 농도는 용해 (O.53±0.79 μg/g. creatinine),금형(1.41±0.50 μg/g. creatinine),사상(1.16±0.53 μg/g. creatinine)순으로 높았으나 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 없었다. 일차 특수건강진단결과 용해공정은 비용해공정보다 현재 기침 (p=0.054), 호흡곤란(p= 0.030),입사이후 호흡기증상으로 인한 투약경험률(p=0.018)은 모두 용해작업자가 비용해공정보다 높았으며 일반 폐기능 검사결과는 두 군 간에 차이가 없었다. 최종적으로 화학성 폐장염으로 분류된 사람은 모두 11명으로 그 발생률은 용해공정에서 32.0%,비용해 공정에서 5.0%이었다(p=O.012). 2002년 12윌 이전 입사자에서 발생률은 33.3%이었고 그 이후 입사자에서는 환자가 발생하지 않았다(p<O.001). 결론: 급성 폐장염이 대부분이 용해공정에서 발생했고 모두 환기시설이 설치되기 전부터 작업했던 점으로 보아 이는 급성 베릴륨질환의 가능성이 매우 높다 이는 적절한 작업환경관리로 충분히 예방할 수 있는 질병이므로 앞으로 이러한 문제를 예방하기 위한 정책적 대안을 제시하였다. Objectives: We conducted an epidemiological survey to inquire into an outbreak of acute pneumonitis after two reported cases of interstitial lung disease. Methods: The study subjects were 45 workers from a compound metal alloy factory. We reviewed the factory's industrial hygiene data along with the results of a special health examination, including pulmonary function tests, simple chest X-rays, and high resolution computed tomography. Results: The air concentrations of beryllium ranged from 0.42 μg/m³ to 112.3 μg/m³, and the mean concentration of urinary beryllium were 1.53±0.79μg/g of creatinine in the molding workers, 1.41±0.50μg/g, of creatinine in the casting workers, and 1.16±0.53μg/g of creatinine in the sorting workers. The rates for cough (p=0.054), dyspnea (P=0.030), and the use of medical services (p=0.018) were higher in the molding workers than in the non-molding workers. The incidence rate of acute interstitial lung disease was higher for the molding process (32.0%) than for the non-molding process (5.0%) (P=0.012). The time of employment for all patients was prior to December 1^(st), 2002. Conclusions: Since most of the patients were molding workers, and all of the patients had worked without a ventilation system, this outbreak of acute interstitial lung disease was regarded as acute beryllium disease. Although the direct cause of the epidemic was the beryllium fumes, the fundamental cause was improper control of the work environment. Therefore, the means for preventing avoidable epidemics of occupational diseases are discussed.

We make effective lectures for obtaining a national technical qualification and construct the database of job information that contain the information about companies and students respectively. Also We propagate Youngdong University to the companies for promoting the employment of students.

      • 동백종실 및 유박의 식품으로서의 이용성 검토

        동백종실의 이용성을 검토하기 위해서 NaCl(1.5%), ethanol(99.9%), blanching의 방법으로 쓴맛을 제거하여 관능검사를 한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 동백종실의 쓴 맛을 제거하는데는 NaCl용액보다는 알콜이 더 효과적이었으며, blanching, NaCl용액 및 알코올을 병행처리 하였을때 쓴맛이 잘 제거되었다. 그러나 동백종실은 알맹이로 되어 있어 쓴맛의 제거에 많은 시간이 소요되고, 완전하게 쓴맛이 제거되지 않으므로 종실자체를 식품으로 이용하는 것은 문제점이 있다고 생각된다. 2. 동백유박의 쓴맛제거는 증류수와 NaCl용액에서도 쓴맛이 거의 제거되었으며, 알콜의 경우는 30% 농도일 때 가장 효과가 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 동백유박은 동백종실에 비하여 쓴맛의 제거가 훨씬 더 용이하였으며, 식품재료로서의 이용가능성에 대한 기호도가 높은 것으로 나타나 이를 이용한 식품의 개발은 가능하다고 생각된다. This study was carried out to investigate the utilization of Camellia seed and defatted Camellia seed flour as food. We removed bitter taste of Camellia seed and defatted Camellia seed flour by using NaCl solution, ethanol, and blanching method. The following are the results of a sensory evaluation. 1. It was bitter taste rather than color or flavor which has made a great effect on the possibility of utilization for food materials. Alcohol was more effective than NaCl solution in removing bitter taste of Camellia seed, while bitter taste was easily removed when the processing with blanching, NaCl solution, and alcohol was employed. Since Camellia seed was consisted of grain, however, much time was needed to remove bitter taste. Because bitter taste wasn't perfectly removed, it has a problem in using Camellia seed for food materials. 2. Bitter taste of the defatted Camellia seed flour was almost removed in the distilled water, NaCl solution, and alcohol with a variety of concentrations. When various concentrations of alcohol were used, 30% concentration worked best, Bitter taste of defatted Camellia seed flour was removed more easily than that of Camellia seed. In conclusion, it is thought to be possible to develop into food, because of a high possibility of utilization as food materials

      • Lutembacher 증후군 환자 증례 보고

        Lutembacher's syndrome is rare combination of mitral stenosis (MS) and atrial septal defect (ASD). The hemodynamic interplay between the MS and ASD leads to wide variation of clinical presentation. Here we describe a 43-year-old female with Lutembacher's syndrome and tricuspid regurgitation with pulmonary hypertension, who underwent direct closure of ASD and tricuspid valvuloplasty successfully. We also reviewed other literatures in an effort to increase awareness of this condition.

      • Bacillus stearothermophilus KJ16이 생산하는 Cyclodextrin Glucanotransferase의 정제와 효소특성

        Cyclodextrin glucanotransferase from B. stearothermophilus KJ16 that can produce both cyclodextrin glucanotransferase and cyclodextrinase was purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation, DEAE-cellulose chromatography, Sephadex G-100 chromatography, and FPLC. The molecular weight of the purified enzyme was about 65,000 dalton by SDS-PAGE. The optimal pH and temperature were 6.0 and 60℃, respectively. The enzyme was stable at 50℃ for 1 hr and in the pH range of 5.5 and 8.5. Mercaptoethanol and dithiothreitol inhibited the enzyme activity strongly. The enzyme produced 60% cyclodextrin(CD) from 5% soluble starch with the ^α-, ^β-, ^γ-CD ratio of 42 : 46 : 12. Amylopectin was the most suitable with 67% conversion to CD.

        창의적 문제해결을 위한 웹기반 교수-학습 모형과 학습 환경 설계 : 수학교과에서의 예시를 중심으로

        본 연구의 목적은 지식기반사회의 학습도구로서 그 중요성이 증대되고 있는 인터넷과 웹을 활용하여 창의성 계발을 돕는 교수-학습 모형과 웹기반 학습 환경을 설계하는 데 있다. 본 연구에서 웹은 학습도우미(learning agent)로서 문제해결 학습상황에서 의사소통도구, 발견과 탐색도구, 지식과 경험 구성의 도구로 상정되었다. 즉, 중등 수학교과를 사례로 채택, 문제해결 학습상황에서 생각 5단계 모형(생각 열기, 생각 쌓기, 생각 나누기, 생각 다지기, 생각 펼치기)을 토대로 각 단계별로 문제의 구조 유형에 따른 사고 전략과 이에 상응하는 학습자와 교수자 활동, 웹기반 활동을 포함하는 웹기반 교수-학습 모형을 설계하였다. 설계된 웹기반 교수-학습 모형에 따라 실제 교수-학습활동 계획안을 개발하고, 창의적 문제해결 환경 지원을 목적으로 한 웹사이트를 설계하였다. 본 연구의 결과물인 웹기반 교수-학습 모형과 학습 환경은 창의적 문제해결을 위한 핵심요소로 간주되는 확산적 사고, 비판적 사고 및 교과지식이 조화롭게 활용될 수 있도록 하는데 그 주안점을 두고 있다. The purpose of this study is to design a web-based teaching and learning model and learning environment for creative problem solving in Mathematics. In this study, World Wide Web is considered as a learning agent assisting learning process as communication tools, inquiry tool, and knowledge construction tools in problem solving learning environments. The web-based teaching and learning model was developed based on "Five Stage Thinking Model" that consists of uncover ideas, accumulate ideas, share ideas, ensure ideas, and unfold ideas. According to the steps of the model, a web-based lessen plan on coordinates in middle school mathematics was developed. Finally, a web-based their divergent thinking, critical thinking and subject knowledge for mathematical problem solving creatively. Some sample web pages were suggested for developing a web site based on the purposed model and the lessen plan.

      • 단독주택지역의 주거환경에 대한 주민만족도에 관한 연구

        The main purpose of this study is to suggest some policy directions for a better residential environment in detached housing area in case of Taegu metropolitan city. In order to consider the change of urban spatial structure, study areas are classified into three zone-CBD, inner zone and outer zone. A field survey is conducted to measure residential satisfaction levels in term of safety, health and convenience. The main findings of this research can be summarized as follows. In general, the level of residential satisfaction at CBD is the worst with the lowest levels of the all three measures, while that of outer zone is the best with some dificiencies in term of health. The major determinants of the levels of residential satisfaction are found out to be (i) privacy protection, public transport, air quality and neighborhood facilities in case of CBD, (ii) cleanliness, fire protection, sunlighting and shopping facilities in case of inner zone, and (iii) public transport in case of outer zone. As is discussed, zonal problem is unique.

        심초음파로 결정된 응급 심낭천자술의 천자부위

        Background: The aim of this study was to determine whether the conventional subcostal approach is suitable for emergency pericardiocentesis in patients with cardiac tamponade or impending cardiac tamponade. Methods: This study was a prospective, observational study conducted at the emergency department of a tertiary hospital, Patients who had symptomatic pericardial effusion and who needed emergency pericardiocentesis in the emergency department were included in this study. We measured the epicardium-to-pericardium distance at the subcostal, parasternal, and apical area with two-dimensional echocardiography to determine the appropriate puncture site for pericardiocentesis. An epicardium-to-pericardium distance of more than 1.0 cm was considered as the primary safety factor in determining the Puncture site for pericardiocentesis. The skin-to-pericardium distance was considered as secondary safety factor. Results: Ninety-five consecutive patients(55 males and 40 females; total mean age: 53 year old) with cardiac tamponade or impending cardiac tamponade were enrolled in this study. The puncture site for pericardiocentesis, as determined by echocardiography, was the subcostal area in 43 patients(45%), the apical area in 40 patients(42%), the left parasternal area In 11 patients(12%), and the right parastemal area in one patient(1%). Pericardiocentesis failed in 2 patients(2%) with the subcostal approach and in one patient(1%) with the apical approach. The average epicardium-to-pericardium distance was 31 ±21 mm in patients with the subcostal approach and 21±8 mm in patients with other approaches. There were no differences in the amount of pericardial fluid and in the intraperical pressure among patient groups according to puncture site. There were two procedure related complications: a puncture of the right ventricle with the subcostal approach and a ventricular tachycardia with the apical approach.

        KCCH cyclotron neutron 및 60Co r-ray에 의한 인체 말초혈액 임파구의 염색체 이상측정

        KCCH cyclotron neutron(30cCy/min) 및 ??Co γ-ray(210cGy/min)를 시험관내의 정상 인체 말초혈액임파구에 조사하여 염색체이상(dicentric 및 centric ring)을 관찰하고 이의 선량-반응관계식을 linear model(Y=K₁D+a), power-law model(Y=K₂Dⁿ), quadratic model(Y=K₃D²) 및 linear-quadratic model(Y=αD+βD²)을 사용하여 구하고 이들 model중 염색체이상의 측정치와 가장 일치하는 관계식을 근거로 하여 γ -ray에 대한 neutron의 relative biological effectiveness(RBE)를 산출하였다. 염색체 이상(dicentric plus centric ring)의 발생분포는 γ-ray의 경우 linear model(P=0.067)을 제외한 power-law model[Y=(5.81±1.96)×10??, P=0.931], quadratic model [Y=(3.91±0.09)×10?D², P=0.972] 및 linear-quadratic model [Y=(6.55±6.83)×10?D+(3.72±0.22)×10?D², P=0.922]에 적합하였다. Neutron의 경우 linear model [Y=(6.12±0.17)×10?³ D-022, P=0.987]에 가장 일치하였고 quadratic model (P<0.005)을 제외한 power-law model[Y=(2.43±0.70)×10?³D+(1.21±0.39)×10?D², P=0.415]에 비교적 적합하였다. 세포당 0.1-1.5개의 염색체이상을 나타내는 neutron의 γ-ray에 대한 RBE는 2.714±0.408이었다. The frequencies of KCCH cyclotron neutron(30cCy/min) or ??Co γ-ray(210cGy/min)-induced asymmetrical interchanges(dicentrics and centric ring) and acentric fragment(deletion) at several doses were measured in the normal human peripheral blood lymphocytes. Chromosome aberrations were scored at the first nitosis after stimulation with phytohemagglutinin. The neutron and γ-ray data were analysed on liner, power-law, quadratic and linear-quadratic model. When the dicentrics and centric rings of γ-ray datas were pooled and fitted to these model, good fits were obtained to power-law [Y=(5.81±1.96)×10??, P=0.931], quadratic [Y=(3.91±0.09)×10?D², P=0.972] 및 linear-quadratic model [Y=(6.55±6.83)×10?D+(3.72±0.22)×10?D², P=0.922] except for linear model(P=0.067). As in the case of neutron data, the best fits was obtained to the linear model [Y=(6.12±0.17)×10?³ D-022, P=0.987] and good fits were obtained to power-law[Y=(5.36±3.02)×10?⁴D??, P=0.601] and linear-quadratic model [Y=(2.43±0.70)×10?³D+(1.21±0.39)×10?D², P=0.415], except for quadratic model (P<0.005). The relative biological effectiveness(RBE) of neutron compared with γ-ray was estimated by best fitting model. In the asymmetrical interchanges range between 0.1 and 1.5 per cell, the REE was found to be 2.714±0.408.
