炭素纖維補强 플라이애쉬 -시멘트 複合體의 力學的 特性에 關한 實驗的 硏究(I)

Results of an experimental study on the manufacture and the mechanical properties of carbon fiber reinforced fly ash-cement composites are presented in this paper. The carbon fiber reinforced fly ash-cement composites using silica powder and a small amount of ethylene vinyl acetate emulsion are prepared with carbon fiber, foaming agents and curing conditions. As a result, the manufacturing process technology of carbon fiber reinforced fly ash-cement composites is developed. And the mechanical properties such as compressive, tensile and flexural strengths of lightweight carbon fiber reinforced fly ash-cement composites are improved by using a small amount of ethylene vinyle acetate emulsion. The development and applications of precast products and the design systems of lightweight carbon fiber reinforced cement composites are expected in the near future.

This study intends to propose a concept of mixed-use development strategy for clustered settlements within the Greenbelt in order to prevent not only broken-up a community in the area, but also evasive private development without elaborate planning. From the point of view, the study attempted to extract and re-establish the planning and development direction of MXD in the Greenbelt by reviewing the theoretical assumption of MXD. To apply new direction of MXD, target site has been adopted as appropriate representative sample. The results of this study are follows; the need not only of control and managerial strategy for specifying characteristic of the target site within the Greenbelt, but also of alternative MXD strategy based on neighborhood for maintaining existing community.
경구면역을 통한 항원 특이적 IgA 항체 합성에 있어 Cholera Toxin과 Alginate-Microsphere의 효과

Secretory (S-IgA) isotype antibody (Ab) is known to play an essential role in the primary defense against various infectious agents in mucosal tissue. However, it has been mostly unsuccessful in the induction of antigen (Ag)-specific IgA Ab response in this site by peroral vaccination. In the present study, we investigated the effect of cholera toxin (CI) as a mucosal adjuvant and alginates-microspheres as a carrier on BSA-specific IgA Ab response in gut-associated lymphoid tissue`(GALT). Peroral immunization of BSA plus CT conferred a great BSA-specific IgA response but IgG response on intestinal fluid (IF). In contrast, intraperitoneal immunization of BSA with Freund's adjuvant readily induced BSA-specific IgG response but IgA response in IF. Further, number of CT specific IgA-secreting cells was substantially increased in mesenteric lymph node when CT-encapsulated-VI alginates-microspheres was administered perorally. Taken together, these results indicate that peroral immunization of soluble antigen in combination of CT or microspheres significantly enhances antigen-specific IgA response in GALT.
백서의 복강내에 투여한 Mitomycin-C-Polyglycolic acid 제형이 장기에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

To evaluate the in-vivo effects of mitomycin-C-polyglycolic acid composite(MMC-PGA) the disk: shaped composite were implanted into the peritoneal cavity of the Sprague-Dawley rats. The pathologic changes were examined at various time points up to 12 weeks. Initially the soft tissue around the inserted disks showed capillary congestion at 3 days. Inflammatory infiltrates with foreign body giant cells appeared from the 2nd week and reached peak response at 6-8 weeks. These reaction diminished prominently at 12 weeks. No specific pathologic change was found in the liver, the kidneys, and the heart. The above results suggest that the MMC-PGA composite can serve as a new device for intraperitoneal chemotherapy of various types of cancers.

Effects of coal powder on the apple productivity were investigated from the plant eco-physiological point of view. 1) Light absorption by the dispersion of 10, 30 and 50g/㎡ of 54μ meshed coal powder was 42, 82 and 94% of the incident light, respectively. 2) Leaf area index of the coal treated apple tree on June (nearly maximum) was slightly larger than that of the control plant, i.e., 4.5-5.0 for Jonathan and 5.5-6.0 for Rolls Janet. Relative light intensity under this apple leaf population declined to 3.4-2.4% on June 26, 1974. 3) Application of coal powder on apple tree resulted in an increase of specific leaf area. 4) Assimilation rate measured by the half leaf method showed a decreased rate in the treated leaf. 5) Transpiration rate decreased by 9.6% on the coal powdered leaf. 6) Surplus photosynthesis of the apple leaf population was 31.1-32.7g/㎡/day from the estimation by the formula of Monsi-Saeki. 7) Growth rate of fruit diameter and shoot length showed the obstructive effect of coal treated apple tree. 8) Rate of June drop of the coal treated apple (50g/㎡) increased 11.0-15.7% as compared with that of the control plant.

Background: Intraoperative autotransfusion or residual blood in a cardiopulmonaty bypass (CPB) circuit has been used to reduce the need for an homologous blood transfutsion during cardiac surgery. However, it may contain some free hemoglobin released from damaged cells. The load of blood containing free hemoglobin may cause renal dysfunction. We measured the amount of free hemoglobin in backed blood, cell saver blood and CPB blood to evaluate what is the least hemolytic blood transfused in cardiac surgery. Methods: This study was performed in 20 patients undergoing cardiac surgery. In each patient, the banked blood, intraoperative salvaged blood with a cell saver and CPB residual blood were sampled at the end of the operation. The concentration of free hemoglobin, hemoglobin and platelet counts were measured in these blood samples and percent of hemolysis was calculated (%hemolysis = [free hemoglobin] / .free hemogloben + hemoglobin]) Results: In salvaged blood with a cell saver, CPB residual blood and banked blood, hemoglobin concentrations were 20.1 ± 2.7 g/dl, 8.0 ± 1.1 g/dl, and 22.2 ± 2.7 g/dl, respectively. Free hemoglobin concentrations were 336.6 ± 239.5 mg/dl, 49.2 ± 26.8 mg/dl, and 279.5 ± 167.5 mg/dl respectively. Platelet counts were 26.1 ± 22.2 × 10^3/mm^3, 116.8 ± 56.5 × 10^3/mm^3, and 94.9 ± 43.6 × 10^3/mm^3 respectively. % Hemolysis were 1.6 ± 1.1%, 0.6 ± 0.4%, and 1.2 ± 0.7% respectively. In the comparison between the salvaged blood with a cell saver and CPB residual blood, free hemoglobin concentration, % hemolysis, and platelet counts had positive correlations (r = 0.8, 0.7, and 0.6). Conclusions: In twenty cardiac surgeries, CPB residual blood had a lower free hemoglobin level than the other two blood groups. The platelet counts in CPB residual blood were higher than those in cell saver blood but did not differ from those in banked blood. Therefore, CPB residual blood was the least hemolytic blood among the three blood groups when a transfusion was performed in cardiac surgery. (Korean J Acesthesiol 2002; 43: 588~593)

A common form of relapse in adenocarcinoma of the stomach is intraperitioneal dissemination, in fact, among gastric adenocarcinoma patients who have undergone surgery intended to cure, approximately 50% of the patients develope initial recurrence in the peritoneal cavity regardless of the anatomic site of the primary tumor within the stomach. The efficacy of systemic postoperative chemotherapy to prevent peritoneal recurrence of gastrric adenocarcinoma is not satisfactory. There is still a great need for improved therapeutic strategies on the disseminated microscopic disease and small miliary nodules remaining on the peritoneal surface or lymphatics after operation. The authers have made fluorouracil-polyglycolic acid composite disks(Fu-PGA disks) with fluorouracil and biodegradable polymer: polyglycolic acid for more effective intraperitoneal chemotherapy. We inserted the Fu-PGA disk(s) in the peritoneal cavity of rat and pharmacokinetic study was performed to measure fluorouracil concentration in the peritoneal fluid, plasma, liver, kidney and heart tissue at 24 hour, 72 hour and 168 hour after insertion of Fu-PGA disk(s). Myelosuppressive action of this composite also was determined following its administration. The data of this study suggested that Fu-PGA composite will be a new device releasing drugs in a controlled manner and having targetability to peritoneum, and this device will be improving the efficacy of intraperitoneal chemotherapy for gastric adenocarcinoma.
