      • 남성화를 보이는 여성에서 발견된 난소의 Steroid Cell Tumor 1예

        Steroid cell tumor is a rare ovarian sex cord-stromal tumor which accounts for 0.1% of all ovarian tumors. Until now, only 4 cases have been reported in domestic literatures. Steroid cell tumor often secrets testosterone and presents virilization in adult women or precocious puberty in children. Treatment is often performed by surgical removal, adjuvant chemotherapy and radiation, but completely accepted treatment was not existed. We experienced a case of steroid cell tumor, which was manifested by typical virilization in a 43-year old patient, who was previously performed hysterectomy and unilateral oophorectomy. So, we present with a brief review of the literatures.

      • 硬鋼線材의 高溫드로잉時 VOID 生性에 관한 硏究

        A study has been made of void formation by hot drawing at elevated temperatures. If a void were created in a hot drawing, the tensile strength and elongation of the high-strength wire rod will be diminish drastically, there fore a quality of the wire rod will be changed. In order to investigate the effect of spheroidized cementite on void initiation, a 0.68%C and 0.74%C high carbon steel wire rod were drawn, at 650℃ and 700℃. Metallographic observation have been carried out on voides associated with spheroidized cementite using a Scaning Electron Microcope. A principal mechanism of the void initiation is that the void nucleation is situated the on edge of spheroidized cementite by dislocation pile-up when the cementite particle is very hard and the matrix is soft. because elevated temperatures decrease the flow stress of Metal. Therefore, the void is created and brought up, at the interface of ferrite-cementite spheroidized when the hot Rod takes a tensile strength. The number of void and the volume percentage of cementite spheroized are crease proportionally to the amount of drawing reduction. The mechanical properties of hot drawing wire are caused by void initiation.

        성별에 따른 청소년의 스트레스와 자아개념의 관계

        This study aims to examine the relationship between the stress and the self-concept of the adolescents according to the gender. This study used the data of Korea Youth Panel Survey (KYPS) Performed by Korea Institute for Youth Development. Prior to the study, factor analysis was performed in order to examine how the dimension of the stress and self-concept could be structured. As a result of factor analysis, the stress could be divided into four dimensions of the stress from parent, study, friends and appearance/material, while the self-concept was divided into four dimension of natural self, self-torment self, deviated self and leading self. Among four factors of self concept, self-torment self was proved to have the closest relationship with stress. And there was no big difference in this result when compared between both genders. As a result of gender comparison for multi-variable regression analysis with self concept as dependent variable, the friend stress was the most influential factor in case of male students while appearance/material stress was the most influential factor in case of female students.

        Classification using the Bezier Curve

        Recently, nonparametric methods of curve estimation have become useful technique in applied statistics. Among the methods, nonparametric regression using various splines have been focused due to its flexibility. However, it is little known about the properties of Bezier spline for nonparametric regression. In this paper, we develop a classifier in classification problem by nonparametric regression using cubic Bezier curve. Various classification methods are compared with the proposed method. The newly developed method which will be called classification using Bezier(CUB) seems to be comparable to existing methods like CART, CUS or neural network classifier in terms of misclassification error rates.

        상지 단순반복작업 근로자의 수근관 증후군 유병률에 관한 조사

        목적 : 본 연구는 수근관 증후군의 발생위험이 높은 작업형태에 종사하는 상지 단순반복작업근로자로서 육류 및 어류 가공 사업장과 목재소 근로자에서 근전도검사를 이용하여 수근관 증후군의 유병률을 조사하고자 하였다. 방법 : 상지 단순반복작업근로자로서 육류 및 어류 가공 사업장 근로자 69명과 목재소 근로자 17명을 실험군으로, 관리직, 경리, 경비등 상지의 단순반복작업이 없는 근로자 28명을 대조군으로 선정하여, 작업적 및 병력조사, 이학적 검사와 근전도검사를 통해 수근관 증후군의 유병률을 조사하였다. 결과 : 수근관 증후군의 유병률은 육류 및 어류 가공 사업장과 목재소에서 각각 26.09 % (18명)와 29.41 %(5명)로 조사되었으며, 육류 및 어류가공사업장과 목재소 근로자를 '7년 이상과 미만의 작업기간'으로 층화하여 비교한 결과 '상지부위의 통증 호소 유무', 'Visual Analogue Scale(VAS: 총 10점) 4점 이상 여부', 'Tinel teat 양성 유무', 'Phalen test 양성 유무'는 모두 단기 작업근로자군에서 양성의 빈도가 증가되었고 '수근관 증후군 유무'는 장기작업근로자군에서 양성의 빈도가 증가되었다. 결론 : 육류 및 어류 가공 사업장과 목재소의 수근관 증후군 유병률은 각각 26.09 %와 29.41 %로 육류 및 어류 가공 사업장과 목재소는 1996년 OSHA가 지정한 바와 같이 위험한 작업요인이 있는 작업장으로 분류하여 관리되어야 할 것으로 생각된다. Objectives : This study was carried out to survey on the prevalence of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome(CTS) in high risk jobs(meat and fish processing plant and wood plant), by application of Nerve Conduction Study(NCS), a confirmatory diagnostic method. Methods : Experimental group was 69 workers sampled from meat and fish processing plants and 17 workers sampled from wood plants, who were simple, repetitive workers using upper extremities and control group was 28 workers sampled from managers, secretaries and keepers. All employees were examined through work history, physical examination and NCS. Results : 18 workers(26.09%) in meat and fish processing plants, and 5 workers(29.41%) in wood plants had compatible findings to NIOSH diagnostic criteria for CTS. The experimental group had more symptoms (complaint of upper extremities, Visual Analogue Scale ≥4(VAS: total 10 point)), signs(Tinel and Phalen test) and prevalence of CTS than control group(p<0.05). The prevalence of symptoms and signs were higher in short term workers(<7 years), but the prevalence of CTS was higher in long term workers(≥7 years). Conclusions : The prevalence of CTS in meat and fish processing plant and wood plant were 26.09% and 29.41% respectively. Authors propose that meat and fish processing and wood plants should be managed as a risk job category which were designated by OSHA in 1996

        환경 가치지향에 따른 피해 지각 유형별 수업의 효과

        The education effect of environmental impact cognitive instruction on high school students was investigated. Environmental values of students could be classified into egocentric, social-altruistic and biospheric values like those of Schultz's three kinds of categories. The value distribution of students consists 44.7% of egocentric and biospheric value groups and 12.5% of social-altruistic value group, respectively. The environmental function such as knowledge and skill did not show remarkable differences between value groups. The environmental value only affected the attitude function. The biospheric value group had the higher attitude function than other value groups. The environmental impact cognitive instruction enhanced the environmental functions irrespective of the value group or instruction type. However, significant variables were different according to environmental functions. Environmental functions such as knowledge and skill were influenced by the instruction itself. The attitude function was dependent on instruction itself, value type and instruction type. The optimum application of the environmental impact cognitive instruction can be efficiently achieved through class division into egocentric value group and biospheric value group. Alternatively, the proper combination of instruction methods focused biospheric and egocentric impacts in a class can be recommended.

        Owing to the environmental problems as well as increasing energy prices and power plant construction costs, many researches have been made for the safe operation of distributed generations. In order to be more popularly used in parallel with the distribution network, the distributed generation and its correlation with the power system should be exactly monitored at any time. This paper presents a monitoring system which displays the important states of the distributed generation in operation and stores various measurements of the system. The proposed system constructs a data-base for developing algorithms against any faults of the interconnected system, and monitors efficiently at any place with the communication network function.
