        In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae(PPNG), we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by menas of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. In 1998, 93 strians of N. genorrhoeae were isolated, among which 60(64.5%) were PPNG. The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 64.5% in 1998.

        The Goal of this study is to evaluate the environmental status of multi-family housing and to analyze the grade of applying environmentally friendly design guide to multi-family housing in Seoul. For this study, it needs to investigate multi-family housing which has more than 300 houses in one's estate and was built after 1995. Among 330 estates which were investigated, 250 estates were allegedly to be built as "Environmentally Friendly Housing". From 250 estates, 4 multi-family housings are selected and investigated for this study.

      • 탄성력이 관계되는 역학적 에너지 보존에 관한 지도상의 문제점과 개선 방안

        현행 고등학교 물리 교과서와 대학 일반물리학 교재에 나타난 용수철 진자의 진동에서 역학적 에너지 보존에 관한 기준점 설정의 불명확성과 오해의 소지를 지적하고 이를 해결하기 위한 방안을 제시하였다. 혼란이 생기는 원인은 근본적으로 좌표 기준, 위치 에너지의 기준 설정에서 나타나는 것으로써 군등장인 경우, 거리에 비례하는 위치 에너지(mgx)이므로 기준을 어디에 잡아도 무방하나 그렇지 않는 탄성 위치 에너지의 경우(1/2)kx^2에는 주의를 요한다. 본 연구는 기준 위치 설정에 따라 위치 에너지 표현식이 다름을 보이고 이를 고등학교 및 대학 일반물리학 수준에서 지도할 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 한다. A typical representation of elastic potential energy is (1/2)kx^2, where x represents the distance from the spring's unstratched end point. However, this representation will be correct only in a particular situation that the origin of the coordinate and the reference point of the potential energy are at x=0. Without this condition, the potential representation, (1/2)kx^2, is no longer correct. In this study, the misconceptions found in high school textbooks and university laboratory manual were exemined and presented a improved method to teach elastic potential energy. The generalized form of elastic potential energy with arbitrary reference point in coordinate system as well as potential energy was derived. To adopt this idea in high school level, a graphical method of deriving the generalized form of elastic potential energy was devised.

      • 신발 제조업에의 린 생산방식 도입

        This paper is concerned with a lean production system to improve the productivity of shoes manufacturing industries. For this purpose, this research first reviews the environmental characteristics of shoes manufacturing industries and invetigates the current problems of shoes production systems. Shoes manufacturing process roughly consists of three process lines shoes uppers line, shoes soles line, and assembling line of shoes uppers and soles. Two major problems in shoes production system are a large amount of work-in-process(WIP) inventories, and the low rate of matching shoes uppers and soles in an assemblying line. Most of shoes manufacturing companies have more than a 3-days WIP inventories in every process line to avoid the blocking the production. Particularly the assemblying line has 5-7days buffers of shoes uppers and soles to maximize the productivity of manufacturing final shoes, however, the matching rate of shoes uppers and soles in the assemblying line is about 50%. These problems are from a low efficiency in inventory control mainly due to (1) too many order specification of sizes, colours, types and different due dates, and (2) a large amount of WIP inventories. To reslove above mentioned problems, we sugggest a lean production system of pull-method for reduction of WIP inventories and improvement of matching rate of shoes uppers and soles in assemblying line. Compared to a push production system(current production system), a pull production system may have a number of adventages in controlling inventories and balanced match of the sole parts and uppers parts when it applied to shoes manufacturing process. As an alternative to control the pull production method, we design a Kaban for production and inventory control. Also we design the Kaban circulations model for the production lines and inventory stores, and a shoes manufacturing information system to incorporate the Kaban system. We expect that the effective adoption of the pull production system to shoes manufacturing system will show better results in improving the matching rate, and reducing the WIP inventories and production lead time. These effects may also give more flexible production planning and raw matiarial procurement planning. We finally consider this research would be helpful in designing the lean shoes production system

      • "주택의 4가지 구성방법"에 토대를 둔 르꼬뷰지애의 주택의 분류에 관한 연구 (1)

        근대 건축의 선구자인 르 꼬르뷰지에가 발표한 "주택의 4가지 구성방법"은 모든 설계과정에 적용시킬 수 있는 건물의 외형을 결정짓는 디자인 방법에 대한 그의 사고를 정리한 것이다. 이 연구는 "주택의 4가지 구성방법"을 이론적으로 고찰하여 그의 전체 주택작품들을 이러한 4가지 구성방법의 틀에 의해 분류를 하고, 나아가서 차후에는 각 구성방법에 의한 주택들이 지니고 있는 건축적 특성을 분석하고자 하는 논문이다. 그 첫 번째 단계로서 각 구성 방법별로 르 꼬르뷰지에의 주택작품을 분류한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 제1구성방법에 해당하는 주택은 2채로서 라로쉬-잔느레 주택과 테르지앙 주택 등이 있다. 2. 제2구성방법에 해당하는 주택은 6채로서, 베스누스 주택, 플라넥스 주택, 귀뜨 주택, 쿡 주택, 마이어 주택, 가르쉐 주택 등이 있다. 3. 제3구성방법에 해당하는 주택은 6채로서 바이센호프 주거지의 단독주택, 베조 주택 1안, 베조 주택 2안, 쿠르체트 주택, 치만바이 주택, 쇼단 주택 등이 있다. 5. 제4구성방법에 해당하는 주택은 사보와 주택 뿐이다. This paper study on the system of "four compositions" by Le Corbusier. Through the analysis of "four compositions", I can find the characteristics of each type in the four compositions. And then according to this elements, I classify his houuses into four groups. The 1st type include La Roche-Jeanneret House and Ternsien House. The 2nd type include Besnus House, Villa Planeix, Villa Meyer, Villa Guiette, Villa Cook, and Villa Garches. The 3rd type include Villa Weissenhof Siedlung, Villa Baizeau 1 & 2, Villa Curruchet, Villa Chimanbhai, and Villa Shodan. The 4th type include Villa Savoye.

      • 히스토아크릴을 이용한 십이지장 궤양 출혈의 지혈 후 발생한 급성췌장염

        Upper gastrointestinal bleeding is common and potentially life threatening medical emergency. Emergency endoscopy is the first choice of diagnostic and treatment measure for patients with active upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Histoacryl should be considered a second-line treatment modality when conventional treatments were failed. However, it might cause several complications. Herein, we report a case of acute pancreatitis developed after histoacryl injection therapy for active duodenal ulcer bleeding. A 71-year-old man was admitted with melena and hematemesis. On emergency endoscopy, a 2 cm sized active ulcer with bleeding from an exposedvessel was seen at the duodenal bulb. Attempts to arrest the bleeding with hemoclipping and submucosal epinephrine injection were tried, but failed. We changed the method to endoscopic histoacryl injection, and obtained hemostasis immediately. A few hourslater, after successful hemostasis, patient complained diffuse abdominal pain. Ultrasonography revealed hyperechoic heterogenous diffuse pancreatic enlargement and right pararenal space fluid collection, this ultrasonographic findings and elevated serum pancreatic enzymes are compatible with acute pancreatitis.

      • 수술중 기계적 환기시 HME (Heat and Moisture Exchanger)가 기도저항에 미치는 영향

        To compare the airway resistance effects of two heat and moisture exchangers(HME) during short-term intraoperative volume controlled mechanical ventilation. Following a randomized order, the patients were ventilated during 3hrs with two HMEs(Pall conserve and Humi-vent filter). In each patient and for each 5 min, lhr, 2hrs and 3 hrs period, body temperature and airway resistance were measured. The hydrophobic HME (Pall conserve) had a good theraml conservation capacity, but increase airway resistance(11.7±2.9cm H_2O/1/s to 15 4±3.4 after lhr, to 17.3±2.5 after 2hrs, to 17.5±3.3cm H_2O/l/s after 3hrs). The hygroscopic filter(Humi-vent filter) had a good thermal conservation capacity, and less increase airway restance than Pall conserve(13.0±2.3 to 15. 4±3.4. after 1hr, 15.9±2.5 after 2hrs, 15.0±3.3 cmH2O/I/s after 3hrs). The hygroscopic HME had a thermal and humidification capacity and less increase the airway resistance.

      • 기계시각을 이용한 강구 자동 검사장치

        Metal balls are commonly used in mechanical elements and systems including bearings. If there is a defect in a metal ball, it can cause a serious machine failure. By this reason every balls produced are required to be inspected, and the inspection is usually done by human eyes. However, the inspection by human eyes is always with the risk of mistakes, and a need to automate the inspection process is arisen. This paper describes a design of an automatic inspection system for detecting defects on ball surface. A machine vision system is used, and design process and techniques are described in detail. 강구는 베어링을 비롯한 기계 요소 및 장치에서 널리 사용되는 부품이다. 만약 강구에 결함이 있을 시, 이를 사용하는 기계에서 치명적인 결함이 초래될 수 있다. 따라서 제조된 강구에 대해서는 전량검사가 요구되고 있고, 검사과정은 사람의 육안에 의한 검사가 주를 이루고 있다. 그런데 사람에 의한 검사에는 항상 실수의 가능성이 있으므로, 이를 자동화하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 강구의 표면 결함을 자동적으로 검사할 수 있는 장치를 설계한다. 기계시각 장치가 사용되었고, 설계에 따른 구체적 절차와 기술들이 서술된다.

      • 大邱地域 中小企業의 效率的인 技術開發 方案에 관한 硏究

        For modern business firms, the most important factor in determining comprtitiveness of a firm is technology, rather than capital. Technogical innovation is a driving force to develop an economy and is essential in growth and/or survival of a business firm. Following studies concerned with this subject, small business firms seem to be more efficient in technological innovation and developing new technology in several respects. Espercially in the new technology based industries, the small business firms have several advantages in technological innovation. In this study, we tried to show how to plan a technology development strategy in relation to management strategy when small business of theoretical and empirical study, we aimed to show the way to efficient management and procedure of technological innovation. For the research methodology, we firstly reviewed and analyzed current and previous studies about technological innovation strategy, efficient management, and selection of R&D projects. Secondly, the results of this theoretical study was examined empirically. The empirical study contains 153 questionaires and 30 interviews for business firms of this area. In addition, for the evaluation criteria for the selection of R&D projects, we sent questionaires to 60 professors who teaches R&D OR in university or college level. The result of these questionaires was analyzed and compared with that of the business firms of this area. The result of this empirical study shows that top management of small business firms should notice the importance of technological innovation and try to stimulate R&D activity. For the evaluation criteria for R&D projection, the criteria which could reduce the possibility of future uncertainty, maximize profit, and he suited for the situation of the business firm, should be established.
