      • 광파이버 변위센서 성능에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this paper is to develop an optical fiber displacement sensor. An optical fiber displacement sensor is based on simple principles. Electrical signal responds to the optical flux change due to the displacement change between a target and a sensor probe. In this paper, the performance of optical fiber displacement sensor has been investigated. Firstly, optical loss has been measured before and after polishing optical fiber endface. Secondly, allowance of optical fiber bending has been tested. Thirdly sensitivity and linear range of the sensor has been found out according to the shape of cross section of optical fiber.

        This paper presents the development of smart road line lamp system consisting light control device. It can perform the individual power control or partial on/off control of a LED lamp by control center and can detect the error of the LEDs by current sensing . Also, the ability to control the brightness and period of on/off by detecting the car's existence. This light control circuit consists of road line lamp unit device. It can give a lot of solutions when the server, which controls the whole system, is operated through CDMA(Code-Division Multiple Access) network

      • 마이크로파에 의한 Li₂O-2SiO₂글라스의 핵생성 및 결정 성장 거동

        Li₂O-SiO₂계 글라스를 재래식 열원과 마이크로파 열원으로 가열했을 때, 핵생성 및 결정화 거동을 비교 조사하였다. 전자주사현미경 분석, X선 회절 분석 및 시차열분석을 통하여 결과를 분석하였다. 재래식 열원과 마이크로파 열원으로 가열된 시편들의 핵생성 및 결정화 거동이 매우 상이하였다. 마이크로파가 시편내의 핵 생성을 억제시켰지만, 결정 성장은 축진시켰다고 추측된다. A comparison of nucleation and crystallization of Li₂O-SiO₂glass system under between the conventional and microwave heating was investigated. Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffractometry, and differential thermal analysis were used to evaluate the results. Nucleation and crystallization behaviors under the microwave heating appeared largely different from under the conventional heating. It was assumed that microwaves inhibitied nucleation, but accelerted crystal growth.

        우리나라 논 관개용 지하수 수질 특성

        This study was carried out to evaluate the status of the groundwater quality for paddy fields irrigation in Korea. Water samples were collected at 130 sites throughout the country. Samples were collected at three seasons-April, July and October-in 2000. According to our survey, the groundwater was found to be suitable for irrigation purpose. Average EC was shown 0.286 dS/m. Nitrate-nitrogen and Cl^(-) concentration was 5.6 ㎎/L, 32.95 ㎎/L which satisfied the Korean Standards for Irrigation Water. Nitrate-nitrogen concentration in each province was shown as following orders: Jeju (11.17 ㎎/L) > Chungnam (8.16 ㎎/L) > Gyeongbuk (6.64 ㎎/L) > Gyounggi (5.91 ㎎/L) > Chungnam (4.95 ㎎/L) > Gyeongnam (3.91 mgk) > Jeonbuk (3.50 ㎎/L) > Jeonnam (3.27 ㎎/L) > Gangwon (2.91 ㎎/L). The concentration by sampling seasons were October (6.62 ㎎/L) > July (5.88 mg&) > April (4.78㎎/L). As the soil of Jeju Province is usually derived from volcanic ash soils mainly used for upland drops, it may influence the nitrate-nitrogen concentration of groundwater. The amount of rainfall also influence the water quality. But the COD_(Cr), were shown April (3.17㎎/L) > July (2.91 ㎎/L) > October (2.40 ㎎/L), it is highly related in the basal dose of organic matter fertilizers. This study demonstrated that groundwater quality was suitable for irrigation, but continuous monitoring is recommended for agricultural policy and developing OECD agricultural environment indicators.

        옥수수 수염의 휘발성 성분

        옥수수 수염에서 purge와 trap headspace 장치를 이용하여 분리된 휘발성 성분으로부터 표준품과의 mass spectrum 및 GC 머무름 시간의 비교에 의해 44종의 휘발성 성분을 확인하였다. 확인된 성분을 기능기별로 나누어 보면 alcohol 성분들이 9종, aldehyde와 ketone의 carbonyl 화합물이 7종, terpene 관련 화합물이 14종, pyrazine계 화합물이 3종, hydrocarbon 화합물 5종 및 기타 성분이 6종으로 나타났다. Peak의 면적비(%)에 의한 양적인 면을 비교하여 2-propanol(8.08%), pentanol(1.82%), hexanol(2.86%), heptanol(1.26%), nonanol(1.28%) 등의 비점이 낮고 분자량이 작은 alcohol 화합물, alcohol의 산화 생성물인 hexanal (3.68%), heptanal(7.40%), nonanal(7.93%), decanal(2.04%) 등의 aldehyde 화합물, limonene(1.68%), α-copaene(2.20%), β-caryophyllene(1.43%), β-selinene(1.03%), α-selinene(1.03%) 등의 terpene 관련 화합물과 methyl pyrazine(0.28%), 2,5-dimethyl pyrazine(0.09%), 2,6-dimethyl pyrazine(0.41%) 등의 pyrazine 화합물 등이 주요 향기성분으로 확인되었다. Volatile components of Cornsilk(Zea mays L.) were isolated by purge and trap headspace method and were analyzed by GC and GC/MSD. A total of 44 components were identified in the cornsilk volatile components including 9 alcohols, 7 aldehydes and ketones, 14 terpenes and terpene alcohols, 3 pyrazines, 5 hydrocarbons and 6 miscellaneous components. The major components were 2-propanol(8.08%), pentanol(1.82%), hexanol(2.86%), hexanal(3.68%), heptanal(7.40%), nonanal(7.93%), decanal(2.04%), α-copaene(2.20%), limonene(1.68%), α-selinene(1.03%), β-selinene(1.03%).

        복어중독에 의한 가사 상태에서 소생한 1예

        Tetrodotoxin is a neurotoxin produced by about 90 species of puffer fish and causes paralysis of central nervous system and peripheral nerves by blocking the movement of all monovalent cation. Ingestion of tetrodotoxin produces clinical manifestations such as paresthesias(within 10-45 min), vomiting, lightheadedness, salivation, muscle twitching, dysphagia, difficulty in speaking, convulsion and death that expressed by cardiopulmonary arrest with loss of brain stem reflex sometimes. Tetrodotoxin prevents or delays ischemia induced neuronal death by way of following 3 mechanisms. Firstly, it reduces the energy demand of the brain tissues. Secondly, it delays or even prevents anoxic depolarization. Finally, it deminishes ischemia induced cell swelling and cerebral edema. We report a case of puffer fish poisoning which presented with cardiopulmonary arrest and loss of brain stem reflex, but completely recovered by aggressive cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

      • 횡문근 융해증의 Tc-99m Methylene Diphosphonate 신티그라피 소견

        Many causes of rhabdomyolysis have been reported in the literature. Technetium-99m methylene dipho-sphonate (Tc-99m MDP) bone scintigraphy is considered to be the most sensitive and effective modality in defining the extents of disease involvement and follow-up of patients with rhabdomyolysis. In this paper, we reviewed two cases of generalized rhabdomyolysis related to seizure activities and two cases of localized rhabdomyolysis related to an excessive exercise. In addition other causes of rhabdomyolysis and possible mechanisrns of Tc-99m MDP uptake are discussed briefly.

      • Cold Knife 원추 절제와 저온 응고요법의 병합 술식에 의한 고등급 자궁 경부 상피내 병변(HSIL)의 처치

        Objectives: To evaluate the efficacy of combination of cold knife conization(CKC) and cold coagulation(CC) for the management of high grade cervical intraepithelial lesions(HSIL) and to compare the diagnostic accuracy of Pap. smear and colposcopy directed biopsy to that of conization. Methods and Materials: Combination of CKC and CC was carried out on the 50 cases of HSIL which were diagnosed by colposcopy directed biopsy during the period from Jan. 1993 to May 1998. Clinical records and pathological reports were reviewed for data analysis. Mean duration of follow up was 26 months. Results: Of the 50 cases, 8 cases(16%) showed margin involvement. Among the 8 cases, 4 cases were undergone immediate hysterectomy and showed residual lesion in 1 case(25%). Recurrence of lesion was found in 1 case with negative cone margin(2.4%) and 1 case of positive cone margin(12.5%) during the follow up. One case of post-operative bleeding, infection and cervical stenosis were found respectively. Diagnostic agreement between Pap. smear and conization was 60.4%. Agreement between colposcopy directed biopsy and conization was 81.1%. Conclusions: These results suggested that CKC with cold CC could be effective management procedure for HSIL to minimize post-cone complications and recurrence rate. Long term follow-up with large material is needed to confirm the above suggestion.
