인터넷 환경에서 웹의 급속한 성장과 더불어 디지털 도서관에 관한 연구가 활성화되어 왔다. 디지털도서관의 전자문서를 효과적으로 관리하고 검색하기 위해서 문서 메타데이터의 취급은 매우 중요한 과제이다. 본 논문에서는 하나의 확장 Dublin Core 메타데이터 모델을 제시하고 객체지향 데이터베이스 개념 데이터 모델을 설계하였다. 제안된 모델은 멀티미디어 전자문서에 대한 관리와 검색의 효율성을 제공할 수 있다. According to the rapid growth of world-wide web in internet environment. the research on the digital library has been activated. In order to provide the efficient management and retrieval of electronic documents in digital library, the treatment of document metadata is a very important task. In this paper, we propose an extended Dublin Core metadata model, and design its object-oriented database schema. The proposed model will be able to provide the efficiency of the management and retrieval for multimedia electronic documents.

Existing manufacturing system has consumed too much energy, space and resource in micro parts manufacturing. To improve this, micro factory system is suggested. But it is difficult to get the high reliability in the assembly, production and inspection of the minute parts because the construction of the micro factory has been started just before. In this study, we will build the digital manufacturing simulation on the micro factory's process and verify the production and assembly process using this simulation.

The majority of stroke patients present that upper extremity of hemiplegic limb is weaker than lower extremity. So rehabilitation of hemiplegic upper extremity shows multiple problems. Peripheral nerve injuries included brachial plexopathy in hemiplegic upper extremity is more common reported than lower problem. Moreover, lumbar plexopathy in hemiplegic lower extremity is rarely reported. A 56-year old woman of acute hemiplegic stroke presented with back pain and proximal weakness of the hemiplegic leg. Neurologic examination and electrophysiologic studies show upper lumbar plexopathy. We report a stroke patient with lumbar plexopathy which leads to proximal weaknesss on hemiplegic leg.

A practical method is proposed to construct a slide-way joint structure as an equivalent stiffness matrix element in the methematical modeling of structural dynamic characteristics. At first, the detail finite element model of a slide-way joint structure was buildup. From the finite element model, the equivalent stiffness matrix element was constructed by using the influence coefficient method and Guyan condensation concept. The proposed method was applied to finite element modeling and analysis of a double column gate type grinding machine structure. And the analysis results were compared with those from the equivalent spring element modelling method by Yoshimura??. Both results are in good agreement.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of 12weeks' resistance training on Immunoglobulin in middle aged women. The subjects of this study employed 20 healthy middle aged women in Pu-san city. The study was conducted two (control group, experimental group) by two (pre-test, post-test) factorial design with data analyzed using ANCOVA. The result of this study was not significantly different in IgA, IgD, IgE, IgG, IgM between control group and training group. Effects of all-trans retinoic acid(retinoic acid) on DNA replication, H2B histone and DNA topoisopmerase I(Topo I) gene expression have been investigated in human promyelocytic leukemia cell line HL-60. DNA synthesis decreased at 24 hours after exposure of retinoic acid in the HL-60 cells. H2B histone mRNA rapidly reduced at 48 hours and Topo I and c-myc mRNA at 24 hours in retinoic acid-exposured HL-60 cells, respectively. The levels of c-myc, H2B histone and Topo I gene expression were reduced in proportion to the concentration of retinoic acid. The H2B histone mRNA in retinoic acid-exposured cells was elevated by cycloheximide treatment, while the level of Topo I mRNA was constant. These results suggest that regulations of H2B histone, c-myc and Topo I gene expression are different from one another, and repression of Topo I gene is closely correlated with c-myc gene during retinoic acid-induced differentiation of HL-60 cells.

Purpose: By the definition of UICC TNM classification (fifth edition), the nodal stage of gastric cancer is based on the number of metastatic lymph nodes, which is influenced by the number of resected lymph nodes. And individual differences in the number of resected lymph nodes had been observed in patients with gastric cancer. The aim of this study is to verify the factors which are associated with the difference in the number of resected lymph nodes in patients with gastric cancer. Methods: We reviewed 613 patients with gastric cancer who underwent curative resection and D2 lymph node dissection with 15 or more resected lymph nodes. The number of resected lymph nodes was analyzed according to the characteristics of patients, the types of operation and prognostic factors of gastric cancer. Results: The mean number of resected lymph nodes per patient was 33.0 (median: 31.0, range: 15-88). The number of resected lymph nodes was significantly associated with the types of operation, the location and size of tumor, macroscopic types, depth of tumor invasion and the number of metastatic lymph nodes. Patient's age, gender and the histopathological finding's had no relationship with the number of resected lymph nodes. Conclusions: The number of resected lymph nodes from gastric cancer was different in each patient despite of same D2 lymph node dissection and it was associated with several prognostic factors of gastric cancer.
비·부비동 종양의 신생혈관 형성에서 COX-2 및 VEGF의 역할

Background and Objectives : COX-2, the inducible form of cyclooxygenase(COX), is upregulated in transformed cells and in malignant cells, which have important roles in promotion of colorectal carcinogenesis, invasiveness and angiogenesis. Vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) may act as endothelial cell mitogen in various cancer tissues. It will increase tumor growth and angiogenesis. Aims of this study were to asses COX-2/VEGF expression and it's clinical correlation in sinonasal tumors and to investigate the effects on angiogenesis also. Materials and Method : The study samples were obtained from surgical removal of 27 cases of inverted papilloma(IPs), 5 cases of IP with malignant transformation(IP-MT), 16 cases of Squamous cell carcinoma(SCC) in sinonasal cavity COX-2 and VEGF expressions were assessed by immunohistochemical staining. Synchronism of COX-2/VEGF expression in one tumor cell was demonstrated with double immunofluorescence technique. Results : The expression rates of COX-2 were 37% in IP, 80% in IP-MT and 100% in SCC. The positive rates of VEGF were 29 6% in IP, 100% in IP-MT and SCC. COX-2 and VEGF expressions were increased as tumor progressed, and there is a positive correlation between COX-2 &EGF expressions. All clinical features which were compared are not associated with COX-2 &EGF expressions except malignant change in IP(p=0 028). Synchronism of COX-2/VEGF expressions was noted in all positive immunostaining samples. Conclusion : These findings suggest the role of COX-2 pathway could be involved in sinonasal tumor angiogenesis, which is modulated by VEGF COX-2 may act as autocrine factor in VEGF expression. There is a potential role for selective COX-2 inhibitors in the treatment of these lesions.
