Preparation of Polyimide Powder via Hydrothermal Polymerization for Compression Molding Application

Polyimides (PIs) have been receiving attention as high-performance materials because of their outstanding thermal and mechanical performance, and chemical resistance based on rigid imide structure. In addition, PI powder can be used in manufacturing lightweight molding parts where precision, thermal, and dimensional stability are critical such as bearing and sealing parts. However, general synthesis methods of PIs are employing high-boiling and toxic solvents such as dimethylformamide (DMF), N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMAc), and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP), which are hazardous to the environment. Moreover, these organic solvents lead to high production costs. In this study, we developed a green synthesis method to synthesize PI powder via hydrothermal polymerization. In addition, thermal and mechanical properties of compression-molded specimens prepared with PI powder were investigated for their application to compression molding.

사람 파필로마 바이러스 18형 외피 단백질 L1의 대장균에서의 발현

Human papillomavirus(HPV) type 18 capsid protein Ll was expressed in E. coli BL-21 strain under the control of T7 promotor by cloning the Ll open reading frame(1704 nucleotides). The gene encoding HPV 18 Ll protein was amplified by PCR and cloned into pET-3a E. coli expression vector. Recombinant 18L1 protein expressed in BL-21 strain was confirmed by 12% SDS- PAGE followed by Western blotting with rnonoclonal antibody against HPV 16L1. We also cloned Ll derivative encoding C-terminus deleted Ll protein into pET-3a vector. C-erminus deleted protein was detected by HPV 16L1 monoclonal antibody.
