The purposes of this study were to suggest 1) a future direction for Korea's machine tool industry and 2) how to secure the safety and reliability of emerging intelligent or automated machine tooling. The study concludes that, overseas, the machine tool industry is growing again while promoting innovation by converging with ICT. Accordingly, Korea also promotes ICT innovation to advance the machine tool industry, which is at the core of the national economy. As a result, unlike in the past, the frequency of serious injuries like entrapment accidents has recently decreased, while the proportion of collision accidents has increased. In addition, a new type of accident has become possible. Since ICT is network-based, the distinction between work and rest can become ambiguous; there is a risk of hacking, working hours and places are flexible and there are risk factors for diseases like chronic fatigue due to overload of specific personnel. As robots and automation are introduced, there is also a high probability of problems caused by physical and psychological burdens on system operators and resulting fatigue.

By analyzing the current status and type of industrial safety accidents caused by industrial machinery, this study aims to examine the importance and necessity of the safety devices that are installed on-site. Additionally, this study aims to determine the implications for Korea by analyzing the status of industrial accidents in major countries and the responses to the accidents. We found that workers could easily access and operate the safety devices and that productivity and convenience were more important than safety. Thus, safety devices need to be mandatorily installed on-site for the safety of workers, and only management supervisors should be given the authority to operate them to afford a sense of safety responsibility to the workers.

Over the past decades there has been a growing body of researches that examines the psychological traits related to safety outcomes. After briefly reviewing the relationships between psychological dispositions and safety outcomes, we empirically examine the relationships with 2 samples of 1,102 participants. Fifteen psychological dispositions (big 5 personality, locus of control, cognitive failure, affection from job and relations, 4 achievement goal orientations, self-efficacy, fatigue, and depression) and four psychological outcomes (safe behavior, unsafe behavior, accidents, and injuries) are examined. After covariance structure modeling variances of safety outcomes are well explained by simple 4 dispositions of consciousness, mastery-approach goal orientation, self-efficacy, and depression. We name them 'core safety disposition', and name four psychological outcomes 'safety consciousness', and the relationships between those latent variables are stronger than between measurement variables. We propose core safety disposition as a cause of safety consciousness, and discuss implications for research and practices.

광주-나주지역 화강암류에 대한 네오디움 표본연령 및 동위원소 특성연구

Diagrams of $^{87}Sr/^{86}Sr$ versus Ba/Nb and MgO/FeO are scattered, and $^{87}Sr/^{86}Sr$ variation with the increase of $SiO_2$ are scattered in Gwangju granitoid. Diagrams of $(^{87}Sr/^{86}Sr)$i versus $(^{143}Nd/^{144}Nd)$i and ${\varepsilon}Nd$ versus 1/Nd variation are also scattered in Gwangju granitoid. It shows that the source magma of Gwangju granitoid are derived from partial melting materials of heterogeneous upper crust. Very low ${\varepsilon}Nd$ values (-15.19~-19.49) and very high ${\varepsilon}Sr$ values (92.72~308.85) mean that the source magma of Gwangju granitoid is derived from sedimentary substance melting. According to $(^{87}Sr/^{86}Sr)$ 180Ma, and the plot of ${\varepsilon}Sr$ versus ${\varepsilon}Nd$, the Gwangju granitoid shows that the source magma is derived from upper crust materials. Nd model ages of Gwangju granitoid (1.82~2.42G.A.) are older than meta-sediments of Okcheon formation (1.15~1.60G.A.) and similar or close to Pre-Cambrian gneiss complex of Ryoungnam massif (2.17~2.47G.A.or 2.11~2.38G.A.).Therefore, the source magma of the Gwangju granitoid could be derived from the partial melting of Pre-Cambrian gneiss complex of Ryoungnam massif.
산업현장의 최초반응자 필요성에 대한 검토 - 건설업 산업재해를 중심으로 -

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the current status of disasters and initial first aid in the construction industry, and to suggest the deployment of emergency medical technicians and reinforcement of first aid training in the construction industry. Methods: Among industrial accidents in 2020, the accident characteristics and initial first aid that occurred at construction sites were analyzed, and the emergency dispatch of 119 paramedics was analyzed through the SPSS method. Results: The incidence of serious accidents was high at small and medium-sized construction sites with less than 50 workers, and the incidence of falls was high, and there were few first responders who could provide first aid in the beginning. Therefore, it is necessary to improve first aid response capabilities at small construction sites. Conclusion: In order to improve the ability to respond to first aid at construction sites, it is necessary to deploy first responders and strengthen first aid education.
케이블의 비선형성을 고려한 사장교의 동적거동에 관한 연구

This paper presents the results of the numerical analysis on the behavior of cable-stayed bridge considering geometric nonlinearity of cables. Finite element method is used and geometric nonlinearities are considered on the analysis of cable-stayed bridge. The governing equilibrium equations are derived by the principle of virtual work, and modified Newton-Raphson method and Newmark-β method are employed in response calculations. The developed program, NONCSB, permits analysis of combined beam and cable structures. The validity of this study is demonstrated by comparing the examples with analytical results by other method and testing result.
