This study was performed to design the optimal Block Type Expansion Valve through analyzing the characteristics of the Block Type Expansion Valve in automotive air conditioning system using HFC-134a. To make easy flow control and pressure drop, the main function of Block Type Expansion Valve, a preliminary experiment on 3 kinds of orifice(Rectangular Type, Diffuser Type, Cone Type) was carried out and the flow characteristics in Expansion Valve was analyzed. Based upon the results of the experiment, 2 types of Block Type Expansion Valve were installed in automotive air conditioning system using HFC-134a and the characteristics of the 2 types of Block Type Expansion Valve were analyzed and compared under variation of compressor RPM.

북한의 정치권력 구조에 관한 연구

This pape4r aims at examining the political power structure in North Korea which adheres to its own style of socialism all the more in spite of the new international situation seeking opening and reform. Centered on the revised constitution in 1992, I analyzed the systematic power including the Labor Party and other state organizations as well as the practical power represented by the family, Kim IlSung and Kim Jung Il. the following sums up main characteristics of the power structure. First, the uniform ruling system centered on the Labor Party. As a source of national power, the leading role of the Party is emphasized on the revised constitution. This is a self-defense mechanism to reflect the collapse of communist parties all over the world. Thus various state organizations do not have any substance and merely follow the policies dicated by the Party. Secound, Kim Il-Sung's one-man ruling system through Junche Ideology. This Identity Idelogy is the ruling though to back up his unitary rule systemically. The changed constitution focuses on the ideology as the supremest idea to guide political activities in North Korea. In the pase, Juche Ideology was regarded as "the creative adaptation to reality following Marx-Leninism", but the new constitution puts it as "the revolutionary thought to realize the publics independence on the basis of man-oriented world view". Third, the hereditary system of power from Kim Il sung to Kim Jung Il. this father-son succession is a feudalistic method of transferring power unprecedented in other socialist countries. The choice of his son as an heir is not only to prevent beforehand any possible political confusion or chaos after his death, but also to continue the revolution led by Kim Il sung so far. As a proof to cement Kim Jung-Il's future system, the newly established constitution reveals his concrete guidelines. the succession became visible when he was chosen as the chief of the defense committee at the sixth meeting of the 9th people's Congress on april 9, 1993. In conclusion, the political power structure in North Korea is cimposed of the Chosun Labor Party and the hoint rule between Kim Il-Sung and Kim Jung-Il who govern the Party.

街路建築物에서의 公開空地에 관한 硏究

The city is the social space with a lot of people having the various and different background and positions. That the city is the social space of high density means it is the space for convenient and comfortable life with the sense of community in frequent activities by overcrowded people and for this, intentional human behaviors within the city. From such a viewpoint, this research is to examine and analyze the publicity of external space of buildings with open space which is the important factor in improving the quality of city and the results of the research are as follows. It is found that the installation of open space has been made at the place where urban development is actively performed from the center of city with many users, but the open space which secures the comfort of the city and then attracts the people is not secured and is in the stage of legal restriction and the conversion of building owner's consciousness is needed. It is analyzed that most of open space are located at the front, but in fact there is no device which intercepts the eyes of pedestrian and open space users and since each space is divided by merely ground border, it is difficult to find the hierarchy or territory of two spaces and more considerations should be given for users. It is shown that the obligatory installations of open space such as bench are not equipped. Since the open space in urban area should be prepared in the side of publicity for users as well as for the urban comport, it is considered that the conversion of building owner's consciousness and institutional supports like incentive system should be followed. Moreover, open space have an influence on the diversification of architectural design, architects must consider the diversification of location, form and components of open space to make it an attractive space for users.

조직의 CIO 제도 평가모델에 관한 연구

The CIO(Chief Information Officer) is a manager who takes care of the business strategies of information technologies in organizations. Because of the importance of IT,, many organizations have recently adopted the CIO systems. However no objective criteria of the evaluation of CIO systems prevents the wide spread of this systems. We suggest two models to solve this problems: one is evaluation model of the CIO systems in the organizations and the other is the evolution model of the development of CIO systems. The evaluation model consists of three parts; Business, IT, and CIO's personal quality part. The evolutionary model consists of three steps; Level 1 is the IT Expert step, Level 2 is the IT Strategist step, and Level 3 is the Business Leader step. In this paper, organization is classified into two groups by two ways. One is the service industry organizations and the non-service industry organizations and the other way is the CIO-adopted organizations and the non CIO-adopted organizations.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the patterns of the health related variables, and physical characteristics and physical fitness of the elderly people in order to provide a exercise program. The data about the health related variables were collected through the personal interview, and the data about physical charateristics and physical fitness (height, weight, % body fat, blood pressure, pulse rate, grip stength, trunk flexion, side step test, 2 min, harvard step test) of 373 elderly people living Seoul and kyungkee area were collected. The conclusions of this study can be summarized as follow; 1. The test results about smoking, drinking, sleeping and self-evaluation of health revealed that the elderly people have self-confidence about their health. 2. Not many elderly people participate the proper exercise program even though they recognize the need of exercise. 3. The results showed that the elderly people do not pay much attention to the intensity of the exercise. 4. Muscle strength training for leg and the lower back and cardio-vascular endurance training was recommended to reduce the risk of varius problems caused by aging. 5. A exercise program was suggested for the elderly people.

Primary ciliary dyskinesia is a genetic disorder of abnormal ciliary structure and function that leads to defective mucociliary clearance, resulting in sinopulmonary infection and infertility. Kartagener's syndrome is a subclass of primary ciliary dyskinesia and which is clinically distinguishable by the presence of situs inversus. Electron microscopy of cilia reveals ultrastructural defects in the ciliary axoneme. In the respiratory tract, this inability presumably causes impaired clearance of mucus and inhaled particles and results in the chronic infections of sinuses and bronchial trees that are characterized of the disease. Early diagnosis of the disease may be important for prevention of bronchiectasis and pulmonary insufficiency. We report one case of primary ciliary dyskinesia associated with Kartagener's syndrome in a 14 year-old young man who was presented as bronchiectasis, chronic and situs inversus, with review of literature.

There are two kinds of data transmission communication method, namely, Analog communication method and Digital communication method. The latter has many excellent characteristics as compared with the former. In order to design excellent Digital Filter, the window function is studied in this paper. The conventional time-domain windowing requires N/2 stored values of the data window and N multiplications. A class of windows, called binary windows, for the frequency-domain implementation of the Discrete Fourier Transform is proposed. They do not require multiplications or stored constants ; rather, they are replaced by shift and add operations. These windows offer excellent sidelobe behavior compared with the conventional windows.

적외선 열화상 카메라를 이용한 Plume 형상에 따른 Nd:YAG 레이저 용접 결함 평가

In Nd:YAG laser welding, evaluation methods of welding flaw are various. But, the method due to plume shape is difficult to classification of welding flaw. The Nd:YAG laser process it known to have high speed and deep penetration capability to become one of the most advanced welding technologies. At the present time, some methods are studied for measurement of plume shape by using high-speed camera and photo diode. This paper describes the machining characteristics of SM45C carbon steel welding by use of an Nd:YAG laser. In spite of its good mechanical characteristics, SM45C carbon steel has a high carbon contents and suffers a limitation in the industrial application due to the poor welding properties. In this study, plume shape was measured by infrared thermal camera that is non-contact /non-destructive thermal measurement equipment through change of laser generating power, speed, focus. Weld was performed on bead-on method. Measurement results are compared as two equipments. Here, two results are composed of measurement results of plume quantities due to plume shape by infrared thermal camera and inspection results of weld bead include weld flaws by ultrasonic inspector.
