      • P-Aminophenyl 4-Amino-4-Deoxy-β-D-Galactopyranoside의 합성

        Methyl 4-azido-2, 3, 6-tri-O-benzoyl-4-deoxy- α-D-galacto pyranoside (2)로 부터 p-nitrophenyl 4-azido-2, 3, 6-tri-O-benzoyl-4-deoxy- β-D-galactopyranoside (5)가 세 단계를 거쳐서 합성되었다. 4-azido-2, 3, 6-tri-D-benzoyl-1-Chloro-1, 4-dideoxy- α-D-galactopyranose (4)는 chloroform-nitromethane (2 = 1, V/V) 용액에서 p-nitrophenyl. Ag₂CO₃와 함께 Konig-Knorr 반응을 하여 화합물 5를 43%수율로 주었다. 또한 p-nitrophenyl 4-azido-4-deoxy- β-D-galacto pyranoside (6)은 methanol 용액중에서 NiCl₂·6H₂O/NaBH₄에 의해 쉽게 환원되어 p-aminophenyl 4-amino-4-deoxy- β-D-galactopyranoside (1)을 만든다. 화합물 1은 D-galactose 변형효소들의 작용메카니즘 연구에 중요한 가치가 예견되는 물질이다. p-Nitrophenyl 4-azido-4-deoxy-2,3,6-tri-O-benzoyl- β-D-galactopyranoside has been synthesized from methyl 4-azido-4-deoxy-2,3,6-tri-O-benzoyl- α-D-galactopyranoside via three steps; Konig-Knorr reaction on 4-azido-2,3,6-tri-O-benzoyl-1-chloro-1,4-dideoxy- α-D-galactopyranose with p-nitrophenyl in the presence of Ag₂CO₃, chloroform and nitromethane (2:1, v/v) produced the above mentioned compound (in 43% yield). p-Nitrophenyl 4-azido-4-deoxy- β-D-galactopyranoside was reduced in the presence of NiCl₂·6H₂O/NaBH₄in methanol to give p-aminophenyl 4-amino-4-deoxy- β-D-galactopyranoside which is known to be a useful compound for the studies of the action mechanism of D-galactose modifying enzymes.

        Since the Kyung-eui Railway Reconstruction Project has begun (2000.9.18) as agreed upon by North and South Korea, interest in the Eurasian Cross-continental Railway has been steadily mounting related sectors of the economy. In the tourism sector as well, there have been tentative predictions of the possibility of a new 'Silk Road' leading from the Korean peninsula through Manchuria, China, Mongolia, Siberia all the way to Europe ? promoting travel and tourism and made possible by the Eurasian Cross-continental Railway. International interest in such a project is also evident. Nations directly involved are Russia, China, Mongolia and both Koreas, while Europe and Japan also have more than a passing interest. International organizations under the auspices of the United Nations, such as ESCAP and UNDP, have also professed their interest and willingness to participate in the Railway's fulfillment. The object this thesis is to discuss the possibilities of the connection of the Eurasian Cross-continental Railway and its marketability as a tourist attraction. First of all, we will examine the international interest in railway travel and study several exemplifying cases. Second, we will observe the development of the conception of a Eurasian Cross-continental Railway and its standing today, and determines its usefulness. Third, we will analyze the distinctive attractions and resources of the regions the railway will pass through. And finally, we will examine ways to promote travel on the Eurasian Cross-continental Railway as a future prospective for the tourism industry. It should be kept in mind that marketing the Eurasian Cross-continental Railway should be done from a mid-to-long term perspective and a future-oriented viewpoint. Because the Railway will pass through a number of countries, numerous complicated issues such as diverse national interests, entrance and departure procedures, security, railroad maintenance and service, and mutual cooperation will present themselves. Therefore, as methods to increase the Railway's usefulness, the following place can be suggested: 1) Cooperation between the two Koreas to link the Kyung-eui and Kyung-won Railways, 2) Establishment of a cooperative system among related nations and international organizations, 3) Development and promotion of regional tourist attractions, 4) Modernization and internationalization of the Railway system and services, 5) Inducement of active participation on the part of Japan of European countries, and 6) Establishment of a joint cooperative organization for railway travel projects among directly involved nations.

      • Methanococcus jannaschii로부터 얻은 thermophile aldolase의 기질특이성에 관한 연구

        Methanococcus jannaschii (Mj)로부터 얻은 thermophile aldolase의 정체성을 밝히기 위하여 Mj aldolase 촉매 존재 하에 DHAP를 D-glyceraldehyde나 glycolaldehyde 받게 기질과 함께 각각 알돌반응 시켰다. 얻어진 효소반응 생성물의 phosphate기를 제거시킨 후 정제하여 NMR, [α]?값과 GC로 분석하였더니 생성물이 각각 D-psicose와 D-ribulose임을 확인할 수 있었다. 그러므로 Mj aldolase는 "D-erythro" 배치 [(3R, 4R)]를 주는 입체선택성을 가지므로 L-fuculose aldolase임을 규명하였다. 또한 다양한 aldehyde들과 함께 Mj aldolase의 기질 특이성을 조사하였다. Glycol aldehyde, D-glyceraldehyde, D, L-glyceraldehyde같은 hydroxyaldehyde와의 알돌반응의 경우 높은 입체 선택성을 보여 한 종류의 생성물을 주었으나, propionaldehyde의 경우 3:1 [(3R, 4R)/(3R, 4S)]의 입체 선택성을 나타내 diastereomeric 혼합물을 주었다. 그러나 trimethyl acetaldehyde나 benzaldehyde 같은 α탄소에 입체적 장애가 있는 aldehyde의 경우는 반응 생성물을 주지 않는 기질특이성을 보여주었다.

        예비 생활체육 지도자의 실무능력 강화를 위한 교수·학습 과정안 개발 및 적용효과 분석

        As the interest and participation in ‘sports for all’ increase, the importance of strengthening instructors’ competence in the area is also emphasized. The goal of this study is to develop an effective syllabus for large-sized, instructor-oriented classes in order to equip future leaders of students with practical abilities. To achieve this goal, this study developed a teaching method for instructors for sports for all, based on the ADDIE model for students of H Community College. In order to solve the problems found at the analysis stage, such as environmental issues and student needs, this study tried to improve the students’ practicum abilities and leadership competence. Another goal was to enhance self-efficacy in students so that they would have more confidence in playing the role of leaders. The syllabus development centers around TAI (Team Assisted Individualization), making the class more effective by strengthening instructors’ feedback and providing supplementary/in-depth materials online. The students were encouraged to create portfolios about the progress and results of the class so that they could reflect upon and evaluate themselves with respect to the class. The teaching method developed in this study was applied to a real class to analyze its effectiveness. This study found that the students showed an improvement in self-efficacy and leadership after the developed syllabus was applied in their classes. The students’ written evaluations of the class were positive, too. It is suggested that the newly developed syllabus could be used effectively in developing teaching models and improving the teaching methods of related classes. 생활체육에 대한 관심과 참여가 높아짐에 따라 지도자의 역량 개발에 대한 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 교수자 중심의 대규모 강의로 이루어지고 있는 수업을 효과적으로 운영 할 수 있는 교수·학습 과정안을 개발하여 예비 지도자인 학생들의 실무능력을 갖출 수 있도록 하는것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를위해 H전문대학 학생들을 대상으로 ADDIE개발 모형에 따라 생활체육 관련 교수·학습과정안을 개발하였다. 학습환경 및 학생요구 등 분석단계에서 도출된 문제점을 해결하기 위해 학생들의 전공 실기능력과 리더십 역량을 향상 시킬 수 있도록 하였다. 또한, 자기 효능감을 높여 학생들이 좀 더 자신감을 가지고 지도자로서의 역할을 수행할 수 있도록 하였다. 교수·학습과정 안에서는 팀 보조 개별학습으로 학습자간 협력을 통한 문제해결을 가능하게 하고, 리더십을 발휘할 수있는 기회를 제공하며, 정확한 동작을 숙지함으로써 자기 효능감과 학습 동기유발 및 지속이 가능하도록 교수자의 피드백을 제공하고, 온라인 환경을 구축하여 수업시간 외 지속적인 보충·심화학습이이루어질 수 있도록 가상의 교실 공간을 제공하였다. 또한 포트폴리오를 개발하여 학습자의 성찰적사고와 자기평가를 할 수 있도록 하였다. 개발된 교수·학습 과정안은 실제수업에 적용하여 효과를 분석하였다. 분석결과 교수·학습과 정안 적용수업에서 학생들의 자기 효능감과 리더십 역량 이유의 하게 향상된것을 확인할 수있었다. 또한, 학생들의 수업에 대한 서술형 평가에서도 긍정적인 반응을 나타내었다. 본 연구결과는 관련 교과목의 교수·학습 과정안을 개발하고 수업 방법을 개선하는데 효과적으로 활용될 수 있을것으로 기대된다.

        서울시 대기오염과 일별 사망의 상관성에 관한 시계열적 연구 (1998~2001년)

        This study was performed to examine the relationship between air pollution exposure and mortality in Seoul for the years of 1998~2001I. Daily counts of death were analyzed by general additive Poisson model, with adjustment for effects of seasonal trend, air temperature, humidity, and day of the week as confounders in a nonparametric approach. Daily death counts were associated with CO (current day), 0₃(current day), PM_(10) (current day), NO₂, (1 day before), SO₂, (1 day before). Increase of 41.711㎍/㎥ (interquartile range) in PM_(10) was associated with 1.3% (95% CI = 0.7~1.9%) increase in the daily number of death. 0₃concentrations resulted in an increased risk of 1.3% for 23.86 ppb in all-aged mortality [RR = 1.013 (1.004-1.023)]. This effect was greater in children (less than 15 aged) and elderly (more than 65 aged). After ozone level exceeds 25 ppb, the dose-response relationship between mortality and ozone was almost linear. We concluded that Seoul had 1~5% increase in mortality in association with IQR (interquartile range) in air pollutants. Daily variations in air pollution within the range currently occurring in Seoul might have an adverse effect on daily mortality. These findings also support the hypothesis that air pollution, at levels below the current ambient air quality standards of Korea, is harmful to sensitive subjects, such as children or elderly.

        Malignant peritoneal mesothelioma is a rare neoplasm that arises from the mesothelium of a serosal cavity and is a rapidly fatal disease with a median survival of 4 to 12 months for untreated cases. Recently, we experienced a case with malignant peritoneal mesothelioma who was suspected hepatocelluar carcioma by abdominal CT scan and was confirmed by biopsy including immunohistochemical stain(calretinin) after surgery. We performed tumor excisions and wedge resection of the liver(segment Ⅷ)and inserted Tencoff catheter in abdominal cavity at 25th day of post-operation. We treated with intraperitoneal paclitaxel(25mg/m^(2)/day for 5 days) six courses monthly. She was well tolerable and is still living without any evidence of recurrence for 14th month of post-operation.
