      • Development of a Mobile Application, "Wild Flowers of Bukhansan National Park (version 1.0)", for Identification of Plants in Bukhansan National Park

        We developed the educational purpose mobile application, named "Wild Flowers of Bukhansan National Park (version 1.0)", aiming for easy identification of wild flowers for students and visitors in the park. When visitors find a flower or part of plant in the park, visitors can search for its name utilizing the pictures and characters provided in their own smartphone mobile devices or tablet PCs. The application provides pictures of wild flowers in the park and character-based searching system based on 12 diagnostic features (e.g., growth form, leaf arrangement, flower symmetry, petal color, petal number, sepal number, etc). We adopted the complete floristic survey of Chung and Lee (1962) and added species that we confirmed their distribution in the park during the development of this application. In summary, number of vascular plants in this park was estimated to be 428 taxa including 100 families, 280 genera, 327 species, 1 subspecies, 50 varieties, and 5 formas. We provided a total of 588 pictures representing 358 taxa and each taxon includes multiple pictures in many cases. Included identification quizzes can be an efficient educational tool as well as fun activity for students and visitors who are learning plant species in Korea. Our next step will include GPS function in the application for indicating visitor's location and for providing previously reported sites of the species that we interested in the map of the park. The future application which includes GPS function will be a valuable tool for the monitoring of rare plants, plant researches related to the climate changes, etc. We currently provide Korean iPhone version only, and English version and both of android versions will be serviced soon.

        The rs196952262 Polymorphism of the AGPAT5 Gene is Associated with Meat Quality in Berkshire Pigs

        High-quality meat is of great economic importance to the pig industry. The 1-acylglycerol-3- phosphate-O-acyltransferase 5 (AGPAT5) enzyme converts lysophosphatidic acid to phosphatidic acid in the mitochondrial membrane. In this study, we found that the porcine AGPAT5 gene was highly expressed in muscle tissue, influencing meat characteristics, and we also identified a non-synonymous single-nucleotide polymorphism (nsSNP) (rs196952262, c.673 A>G) in the gene, associated with a change of isoleucine 225 to valine. The presence of this nsSNP was significantly associated with meat color (lightness), lower cooking loss, and lower carcass temperatures 1, 4, and 12 h after slaughter (items T1, T4, and T12 on the recognized quality scale, respectively), and tended to increase backfat thickness and the waterholding capacity. These results suggest that nsSNP (c.673A>G) of the AGPAT5 gene is a potential genetic marker of high meat quality in pigs.

        후두적출자의 의사소통 태도

        본 연구는 후두적출자의 주된 발성방법과 후두적출 경과 시기에 따른 의사소통 태도를 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구의 대상은 성인 남자 55명으로 후두암으로 인한 후두적출자들로 구성되었다. 이들에게 실시한 의사소통 태도 설문지는 Erickson의 의사소통 태도 척도-수정판(Modified Erickson Scale of Communication Attitudes: S-24)을 본 연구에 맞게 수정 보완하여 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 주된 발성방법에 따라서는 인공후두기 사용자와 식도발성자간의 의사소통 태도에 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 후두적출 경과 시기에 따라 10년 초과된 후두적출자들과 10년 이하의 후두 적출자들 간의 의사소통 태도에 차이가 없었다. 그러므로 이들의 의사소통 태도의 긍정적 태도를 증가시키기 위하여 다양한 방법을 활용하고 습득하여 이들의 의사소통 능력을 빠르게 재습득 하여 긍정적인 의사소통 능력을 가질 수 있도록 해야 한다. The purpose of this study was to determine laryngectomee's communication attitude. 55 laryngectomees, who were in the range of 40 years old to 80 years old participated in the study. Communication attitude measurements were taken by S-24(Modified Erickson Scale of Communication Attitudes). The results showed as follows: First, score of laryngectomees with artificial larynx and esophageal speakers were no significant. Second, score of laryngectomees with over 10 years after latyngectomy and 10 years after latyngectomy were no significant.

        축구선수의 Detraining과 Retraining이 혈청지질 및 호르몬농도에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of detraining and retraining on serum lipid and hormones in soccer players. Subjects were seven male high-school soccer players. V˙O_2max was determined for each subjects by administering a treadmill test(initial speed: 90m/min, grade: 5%, increasing speed per 3 min: 30m/min). Serum lipid(T-C, TG, HDL-C LDL-C) and hormones(epinephrine, norepinephrine, growth hormones, cortisol) were assayed pre and post detraining in 10, 20, 30 days after retraining. The repeated ANOVA was used to determine significant differences. The 0.05 level of significance was as critical level for the study. The results of the study were as follows: 1. V˙O_2max(ml/min) were 3576.3±204.2ml/min pre detraining, 3234.1±198.9 ml/min post detraining. There are significant(p<.05) difference between pre and post detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, V˙O_2max(ml/min) were 3601.4±170.9 ml/min. There were significantly(p<.05) increased in retraining periods. 2. V˙O_2max(ml/kg/min) were significantly(p<.05) decreased from 62.3±2.9 ml/kg/min to 55.9±4.7 ml/kg/min in detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, V˙O_2max(ml/kg/min) were 62.4±3.4ml/kg/min, 62.7±2.3ml.kg/min, 67.3±7.2ml/kg/min respectively. There were significantly(p<.05) increased in retraining periods. 3. T-C were significantly (p<.05) increased from 166.6±8.5mg/dl to 175.3±10.3 mg/dl in detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, T-C were 160.1± 3.2mg/dl, 156.7±3.7mg/dl, 140.3±9.0mg/dl. There were significantly(p<.05) decreased in retraining periods. 4. HDL-C were 61.4±6.6mg/di pre detraining, 5.3±6.6mg/dl post detraining. There are significant(p<.05) difference between pre and post detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, HDL-C were 56.9±7.1mg/dl, 56.4±9.2mg/dl, 57.7±9.1mg/dl respectively. There were no significant difference in retraining periods. 5. The hormones(epinephrine. norepinephrine, growth hormone, cortisol) were changed as same patterns. Epinephrine were 26.0±7.0[g/ml pre detraining, 24.6±3.2pg/ml post detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, epinephrine were 26.9±5.6pg/ml, 30.6±6.2pg/ml, 29.4±5.6pg/ml respectively. There were no significant difference in retraining periods. In conclusion, HDL-C, epinephrine, norepinephrine, growth hormone and cortisol were decreased, T-C, LDL-C and TG were increased in detraining. But HDL-C, epinephrine, norepinephrine, growth hormone and cortisol were increased, T-C, LDL-C and TG were decreased in retraining.

        교원의 교원능력개발평가 결과, 인구학적 특성과 전문성 인식의 관계

        This study aimed to provide useful information by investigating the relationships between the results of teacher evaluation for professional development, teachers’ demographic characteristics, and their perception of expertise. Among those who participated in the survey asking teachers’ perception of the 2014 teacher evaluation for professional development, the data from 1,622 teachers in the upper and lower limits of one standard deviation of teacher peer evaluation and student satisfaction were used. Study findings were as follows. First, statistically significant and positive correlations existed between teacher evaluation results and teachers’perception of expertise. Second, female teachers, those whose career spanned 5-15 years, elementary teachers perceived their expertise higher than those of male teachers, those whose careers did not span 5-15 years, and middle and high school teachers. Third, mean scores of expertise perception of teachers who had high scores on peer evaluation and student satisfaction were higher than those of other groups. Last, providing information to parents and appropriate evaluation were the key factors distinguishing those who had high scores on teacher evaluation and student satisfaction from those had high scores on teacher evaluation and low scores on student satisfaction. In addition, providing information to parents was the key factor differentiating those who had high scores on teacher evaluation and student satisfaction from those who had low scores on both teacher evaluation and student satisfaction. The significance of these study results was discussed along with limitations and suggestions for future research studies.

        한국판 해밀턴 우울증평가척도(K-HDRS)의 확인적 요인 분석

        Objectives The present study was conducted to examine the factor structure of a Korean version of the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (K-HDRS), and we did so by performing a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Methods The data from the 17-item K-HDRS data was obtained from 319 South Koreans who met the DSM-IV Criteria of Major Depressive Disorder. We examined the fit of ten competing models. The CFAs were evaluated in their original first-order structures and in their hierarchically related counterparts. Results The alternative models obtained unsatisfactory fit indices, although the five-factor inter-correlated model (model 5a) demonstrated a relatively good fit to the data. The model 5a also performed better than its hierarchically related counterpart (model 5b). The Modification Indices (MIs) were used to provide a more satisfactory account of the data. The Mls suggested correlations between the unique variances of items (item 1 & 3, item 10 & 15), and these parameters were added to the model 5a. After introducing minor modifications, the 'final' model (5m) yielded an improved model fit. Conclusion This study suggests that the symptoms of depression, as assessed by the K-HDRS, cluster into five factors : anhedonia/retardation, guilt/agitation, bodily symptoms, insomnia and appetite. This study provides evidence for the cross-cultural generalizability of the HDRS, although some refinement of the scale is still required.

        학교보건교육에서의 매체활용실태 및 영향요인 분석

        The objectives of this study are to explain the use of media materials in school health education with other related factors in elementary, middle, and high schools in Korea. The data were collected by questionnaires from June to September in 1988. The number of subjects were 294 school nurses. The PC-SAS program was used for statistical analysis such as percent distribution, chi-squared test, spearman correlation test, and logistic regression. The use of media materials in health education has become extremely common. Unfortunately, much of the early materials were of poor production quality, reflected low levels of interest, and generally did little to enhance health education programming. A recent trend in media materials is a move away from the fact filled production to a more affective, process-oriented approach. There is an obvious need for health educators to use high-quality, polished productions in order to counteract the same levels of quality used by commercial agencies that often promote "unhealthy" lifestyles. Health educators need to be aware of the advantages and disadvantages of the various forms of media. Selecting media materials should be based on more than cost, availability, and personal preference. Selection should be based on the goal of achieving behavioral objectives formulated before the review process begins. The decision to use no media materials rather than something of dubious quality will usually be the right decision. Poor-quality, outdated, or boring materials will usually have a detrimental effect on the presentation. Media materials should be viewed as vehicles to enhance learning, not products that will stand in isolation. Process of materials is an essential part of the educational process. The major results were as follows:1. The elementary schools used the materials more frequently. But the production rate of media materials was not enough. The budget was too small for a wide use of media materials in school health education. These findings suggest that all schools have to increase the budget of health education programs. 2. Computers offer an incredibly diverse set of possibilities for use in health education, ranging from complicated statistical analysis to elementary-school-level health education games. But the use rate of this material was not high. The development of related software is essential. 3. In this study, the most effective materials were films in elementary school and videotapes in middle and high school. Film tends to be a more emotive medium than videotape. The difficulties of media selection involved the small amount of extant educational materials. Media selection is a multifaceted process and should be based on a combination of sound principles. 4. The review of material use following student levels showed that the more the contents were various, the more the use rate was high. 5. Health education videotapes and overhead projectors proved the most plentiful and widest media tools. The information depicted was more likely to be current. As a means to display both text and graphic information, this instructional medium has proven to be both effective and enduring. 6. An analysis of how effective the quality of school nurse and school use of media materials shows a result that is not complete)p=0.1113). But, the budget of health education is a significant variable. The increase of the budget therefore is essential to effective use of media materials. From these results it is recommended that various media materials be developed and be wide used.

        장애학생을 위한 보완·대체의사소통 교수-학습방법에 관한 고찰

        장애학생을 위한 보완 대체의사소통에 관한 국내의 연구들은 기초조사 및 특정 교수방법에 대한 적용효과를 검증한 연구들이 주를 이루었다. 본 연구에서는 AAC사용자의 대부분을 이루는 의사소통의 초기 발달 수준에 있는 중도장애학생들에게 AAC를 적용할 때 중요하게 다루어지는 요구하기 행동의 교수와 음성출력보조도구의 사용을 중심으로 선행연구들에서 제시하는 교수-학습방법에 대하여 고찰하고, 최근의 AAC 교수-학습방법에 대한 외국의 실험연구들에 대한 분석을 통하여 국내의 AAC 적용 및 연구에 대한 시사점을 찾고자 하였다. The purpose of this study is to review and synthesize research about AAC teaching-learning strategies with focus on teaching requesting and using VOCA. Findings suggest that instructional consideration should be given to different categories of requesting behaviors, role of motivation and communication partners in teaching requesting, strengthening learners' nonsymbolic requesting behaviors, and teaching in natural context with natural instructional strategies. Also, role of VOCA in AAC instruction was generally positive, especially in relation to learning of symbols and requesting behaviors. Review of previous experimental research about AAC teaching-learning also yield several information; diversity of AAC users (diagnosis, age, communication ability), use of natural instructional strategy, partner training, and systematic instructional principles, and use of sigle subject research design.

        지체부자유아동의 교육을 위한 팀 접근법

        지체부자유아동을 위한 교육이 보조공학, 보완대체의사소통 등과 같이 정차로 많은 관련전문인들과의 협력을 요구하는 방향으로 발전해감에 따라 효과적인 교육을 위한 팀 구성과 운영에 대한 연구가 증가하고 있다. 본 고에서는 이러한 팀 접근법에 관한 기초적 개념과 최근 지체부자유아 교육에 팀접근법이 어떻게 도입 및 발전되고 있는가를 살펴보고 효과적인 팀 접근법 운영의 방해요인들을 구성원간의 관계에 관련된 요인, 팀의 구조적 요인 등으로 나누어 고찰하였다. 또한 지체부자유아교육에 있어서의 최상의 실제중 한 요인으로 논의되고 있는 이러한 팀 접근법을 한국 지체부자유아 교육 상황에서 적용하고자 할 때의 문제점을 관련서비스의 개념 및 전문인 양성, 교육전달체계의 측면에서 분석하였다. Educational Team Approach for Students with Physical Disabilities Recently, professionals have largely redefined what constitutes an appropriate education for students with physical disabilities. Many of these changes include adoption of a collaborative, rather than individualistic approach to service provision. This paper examined the conceptual framework of team approach and current trend in educational team approach for students with physical disabilities. First, overview of team approach, including definitions, rationale, and description of subtypes, was provided. Second, as a best practice of educational team approach for students with physical and severe disabilities, transdisciplinary team approach was discussed. Third, based on transdisciplinary team model, critical features and challenges for effective implementation, were discussed. Finally, implication for Korean special education practice for students with physical disabilities were discussed.

        의복동조에 영향을 미치는 준거집단과 준거집단의 특성에 대한 연구 : 직장인들을 대상으로

        The purpose of this study was to identify reference groups and their characteristics that influence career people's clothing conformity. The responses of 714 fulltime employeed subjects from four different cities were analyzed. Business wear used as the stiuational stimulus. The Identificational Conformity was most influenced by friends or school seniors and juniors, followed by spuse or lover and siblings. The Normative Conformity was most influenced by spouse or lover, followed by supervisors, parents or elders, customers or business counterparts, and colleagues. And it was found that career people showed more Identificational Conformity and Normative Conformity to the reference groups which regulated their clothings, had credibility and had attractiveness.
