This paper showed the summarization of the preservative method of wild vegetables in the house and the precessing method of Japanese pickles. The preservative methods of wild vegetables were explained devided into long, short term, fresh state, heat treatment and drying. Salt, soybean fermented sauce, soybean fermented paste, lees of refined rice wine and residue in the preparation of bean curd were used as the materials of Japanese pickles.

수면, 기억 그리고 학습의 연관성은 실제 매우 복잡하다. 많은 연구에도 불구하고 명확한 연구결과는 아직 없다. 우리는 이 연구에서 평소와는 달리 시험 전날 수면 변화 양상이 집중력에 어느 정도 영향력을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였고, 이를 이용해 효율적인 수면 관리를 할 수 있는 기초자료로 삼고자 하였다. 동국대 의대 본과 1학년생 중 지원자 30명과 본과 2학년생 10명을 대상으로 평상시 상태와 시험 직후 수면이 부족한 상태에서 각각 K-PES TEST를 실시하여 총 8항목에 걸쳐 암기력, 판단력, 단순반응의 변화정도를 검사하였다. 또 설문조사를 병행하여 결과에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 다른 인자들도 파악하였다. 수면량에 대한 부호 숫자 짝짓기(순간 판단력)을 검사한 결과, 인간의 최대 생리학적 기능은 꼭 수면부족에 의해 좌우되는 것은 아니다. 그러나, 수면감소는 피로를 증가시키고, 동기부여를 감소시키나 단, 새로운 사실을 학습하는 데에는 큰 영향을 끼치지 않는다. 즉, 수면부족으로 장시간 깨어있는 것은 정확성과 반응성을 떨어뜨린다. 흡연에 대한 부호 숫자 짝짓기(순간 판단력)을 검사한 결과, 니코틴의 수면에 대한 상호관계는 알려지지 않았고, 인간의 감정이나 의식, 인식에 영향을 주는 것으로 알고있지만, 장기적은 측면에서 흡연이나 알코올은 인식능력과 무관한 것 같다. 카페인에 대한 숫자 외우기(암기력)검사 결과, 카페인은 spacial selective attention에는 특별한 영향을 주지 않지만 지각과정이나 주의 집중에 큰 효과를 주며, 인간의 의식 수행에 긍정적인 효과를 준다. 즉 카페인은 활력, 혼란, 피로상태를 변화시키고 visual analog scales에서 휴식상태에 가까운 양상을 나타낸다. 또 48시간 동안 수면을 취하지 않은 사람에게 카페인은 집중력과 장시간의 좋은 기분을 유지하게 하였다. 그러나 규칙적, 비규칙적으로 먹는 사람간에는 인지수행력의 차이를 보이지 않으며 상용자에서는 상당한 내성이 보인다. 수면패턴에 대한 숫자 더하기(순간 판단력)검사 결과, 집중력은 수면패턴에 의해서도 영향을 받고, 수면패턴이 바뀌게 되면 순간판단력을 저하시킨다. This study was performed to evaluate relationship of sleep and attention, and to control sleep effectively. We conducted a K-PES test of 40 medical students. K-PES contains eight elements, for example, simple response, selective response, color pairing, OddEven discrimination, number addition, number-symbol matching, memory, right-tapping, left tapping. Through these, we tested changes of memory, judgement, simple response. And we conducted a questionnaire survey to exclude bias. Results are as follows. As a results of number-symbol matching test, we know that sleeplessness is not complete responsible for physiologic function for humans. But, decreased sleep increases fatigue and decreases motivation, but no influence on learning new materials. So, long term sleeplessness decreases precision and responsibility. As a results of number-symbol matching test on smoking, a relationship of nicotine and sleep is not certain. A point of view in long term period, smoking and drinking is not related cognition, even if we know that those influence mood, consciousness and cognition. As a results of memory work test on caffeine, caffeine does not influence spacial selective attention, but mainly does perception, attention and consiousness process. Namely caffeine changes energetic activities, chaos, fatigue states and shows resting state in visual analog scales In sleeplessness for 48 hours, caffeine produced attention and good mood for a long time. But, in case of cognitive process no significance shows in regular or irregular diet. Regular diet shows high resistance. As a results of number addition test on sleep patterns, seep patterns influence attention, changes of sleep patterns decrease a moment judgement.
균형 전좌 또는 Robertsonian 전좌 보인자의 체외수정 및 배아이식술에서 형광직접보합법을 이용한 착상전 유전자진단의 임상적 적용

목적 : 본 연구는 균형 전좌 또는 Robertsonian 전좌 보인자의 체외수정 및 배아이식술에서 형광직접보합법을 이용한 착상전 유전자진단을 시행하여 그 결과와 효율을 알아보고자 시행하였다. 연구방법 : 본원에서 착상전 유전자진단을 시행한 15쌍, 25주기의 체외수정 및 배아이식술을 연구대상으로 하였으며, 3주기에서 54개의 극체를 이용하여, 22주기에서 234개의 할구를 이용하여 형광직접보합법으로 염색체의 숫적 이상을 분석하였다. 형광직접보합법을 이용하여 분석한 후 정상의 형광직접보합법 signal을 나타내는 배아만을 모체에 이식하였다. 임신이 확인된 경우 양수천자의 방법으로 태아의 핵형을 확인하였다. 결과 : 극체를 이용한 형광직접보합법 분석에서, 18개의 극체가 정상이었고, 3주기 모두에서 배아를 이식하였으며, 형광직접보합법의 효율은 95.0%였다. 할구를 이용한 형광직접보합법 분석에서는 49개의 배아가 정상으로 확인되었다. 정상의 배아를 확인할 수 없었던 1주기를 제외한 21주기에서 배아이식을 시행하였으며, 형광직접보합법의 효율은 92.7%였다. 3주기에서 임신이 되었고, 2주기에서 건강한 균형 전좌 보인자인 남아와 Robertsonian 전좌 보인자인 여아가 태어났다. 1주기는 임신이 진행중이며, 양수천자에서 정상의 핵형으로 확인되었다. 결론 : 형광직접보합법을 이용한 착상전 유전자진단은 균형 전좌 또는 Robertsonian 전좌 보인자의 체외수정 및 배아이식술에 성공적으로 적용되어 태아의 염색체 이상으로 인하여 발생되는 여러가지 문제를 해결할 수 있는 효과적인 방법으로 사료된다. Objective : This study was performed to evaluate the efficiency of preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) using fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH) in Robertsonian or balanced reciprocal translocation carriers in human IVF-ET programm.Method : FISH was carried out in 25 cycles of 15 couples. Two-color FISH analysis was performed on 54 polar bodies in 3 cycles and 234 blastomeres in 22 cycles. After FISH analysis, the embryos with normal FISH signals were transferred into mother's uterus.Results : In FISH analysis of polar bodies, 18 nuclei of polar bodies were normal and 12 embryos were transferred in 3 cycles. FISH efficiency per oocyte was 95.0% in cases using polar bodies. In FISH analysis of blastomeres, 49 embryos were normal and transferred in 21 cycles. FISH efficiency per embryo was 92.7% using blastomeres. At present, three pregnancies were achieved. A girl and a boy were delivered. Both of them were translocation carriers. The other conceptus showed normal karyotype.Conclusion : According to this study, PGD using FISH can be successfully applied for the patients with translocations of chromosomes.

Peutz-Jeghers syndrome is an autosomal-dominant hereditary disorder manifested by a combina- tion of mucocutaneous pigmentations and gastrointestinal polyposis. Although the polyps are believed to he benign in nature, recently it has been realized that patients with this syndrome are subject to increasing risk for the developement of malignant neoplasm during long term follow-up. When investigating the neoplastic changes within Peutz-Jeghers polyps, pseudoinvasion-epithelial misplacement, should be carefully ruled out. In this report, we present a case of a 16-year old female who was operated or for intussusception caused by Peutz-Jeghers polyp in the small intestine, which showed pseudoinvasion-epithelial misplacement, initially misdiagnosed as adeho-carcinoma. To find out any possibility of the development of malignant neoplasm, the entire gastrointestinal tract from esophagus to rectum was searched via endoscopy and intraoperative enteroscopy, and all of the polyps were removed. Purpose: We investigated the neurogenic potentials of amniotic fluid-derived stem cells (AFSCs) according to the expression levels of stem cell markers and ingredients in the neural induction media. Materials and Methods: Four samples of AFSCs with different levels of Oct-4 and c-kit expression were differentiated neurally, using three kinds of induction media containing retinoic acid (RA) and/or a mixture of 3-isobutyl-1-methylxanthine/indomethacin/insulin (neuromix), and examined by immunofluorescence and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) for their expression of neurospecific markers. Results: The cells in neuromix-containing media displayed small nuclei and long processes that were characteristic of neural cells. RT-PCR analysis revealed that the number of neural markers showing upregulation was greater in cells cultured in the neuromix-containing media than in those cultured in RA-only medium. Neurospecific gene expression was also higher in Oct-4 and c-kit double-positive cells than in c-kit-low or -negative cells. Conclusion: The stem cell marker c-kit (rather than Oct-4) and the ingredient neuromix (rather than RA) exert greater effects on neurogenesis of AFSCs.

Acinetobacter baumannii is a gram-negative organism reported worldwide as a cause of health-care associated infections. Due to its increasing drug resistance, several studies on coproduction of armA and carbapenemase in South Korea and other parts of the world were reported, which can pose significant therapeutic threat. The aim of this study was to investigate genetic characteristics of multidrug-resistant A. baumannii coproducing armA and carbapenemase and its epidemiological relatedness. Forty-five multidrug resistant (MDR) A. baumannii clinical isolates were collected. Antimicrobial susceptibility was determined by agar dilution, Etest and VITEK 2 system. The presence of 16S rRNA methylase and carbapenemase were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and sequencing. Repetitive element palindromic (REP)-PCR was also performed for epidemiologic investigation. All of A. baumannii isolates harbored $bla_{OXA-51}$-like gene and 10 isolates showed an upstream ISAba1. 36 isolates (80%) showed amplification of OXA-23, all of which except one had an upstream ISAba1. 16S rRNA methylase armA was found in 44 isolates with high level resistance to aminoglycosides. The rate of coproduction was found in 36 isolates (80%). All isolates showed dominant two patterns in REP-PCR profile. The prevalence of MDR A. baumannii coproducing OXA-23 and armA was high, which the rate of $bla_{OXA-23}$ coproduction was also high.

Cardiac tumors are rare diseases with various imaging findings. However, differentiating cardiac tumors based on imaging findings is challenging because of similarities in imaging features. We present two cases of cardiac tumors, including primary cardiac lymphoma and cardiac metastasis, in which the differential diagnosis was difficult.
