        치성감염후 발생한 급성 종격동염의 치험례

        Acute mediastinitis is almost always secondary to some other condition, and most cases are due to esophageal perforation. Although acute mediastinitis from odontogenic infection is extremely rare in the era antibiotic drugs, some more fulminant odontogenic infections can produce complications including airway obstruction, necrotizing fascitis and extension of the infection to thorax. Irrespective of the changing incidence of etiologic factors, unless the pathophysiology of acute mediastinitis and its causes are understood and the conditions promptly recognized and properly treated, the result may be prolonged illness and even death. We experienced a case of odontogenic infection followed by acute mediastinitis and present review of literature.

        Chronic neutrophilic leukemia is a very rare myeloproliferative disorder which is characterized by severe sustained mature neutrophilic leukocytosis in peripheral blood (PB), hepatosplenomegaly, elevated leukocyte alkaline phosphatase, serum uric acid. serun viatmin B 12 and the bleeding tendency despite normal platelet count and coagulation time, absence of philadelphia chromosome, and the absence of fever or underlying infection or disease sufficient to mimic a leukemoid reaction. We have experienced a 34-years-old male patient with atypical chronic neutrophilic leukemia. On admission, the leukocyte count was 56,860/uL. severe neutrophic leukocytosis with 76% neutrophils and rare immature forms on PB smear. Many neutrophils had toxic granules, and vacuoloes. Leukocyte alkaline phosphatase score was decreased. The cytogenetic study showed Philadelphia chromosome negative with normal karyotype.

        Mobile nodes in ad hoc mobile networks typically communicate over wireless channels and are capable of movement. These are networks that support multihop communication and can be formed on a temporary basis. This paper proposes a solution that allows mobile nodes to access the wired Internet and to roam from base station to base station. And we also develop the efficient method that adapts in Global MANET which can be changed over time. It is observed that we can reduce not only error detection time but also network load, thus increasing the data reception rate in Global MANET Environment.

        축산시설에서 발생되는 악취의 축종별 특성에 대한 설문조사

        At Recent the number of livestock is rapidly increased and the scale of farm has changed to large operations in Korea. So the odors frcm livestock feeding operations have increased and become major environmental problem. The odor emission are dependent on the types of manure management system and the meteorological factors. This report presents the results of a questionnaire on the odor characteristics from livestock facilities for the beef, dairy, swine and poultry. It is founded that the impact by odors from the facilities for swine and poultry is higher than cow and dairy, and the odor intensity at morning is higher than other times.

        천연가스 사용 난방 및 산업보일러의 NOx와 CO 배출계수 산정 연구

        This study was conducted for developing the emission factors of nitrogen oxide(NOx) and carbon monoxide (CO) from the combustion boilers burning liquefied natural gas (LNG). These emission factors were compared with those of U.S. EPA and European Environment Agency (EEA). NOx and CO concentration in the flow gas were measured using Kane-May, KM9106 and Thermo Environmental Instruments Inc., 42C-HL. Measurement were conducted at thirty industrial and commercial LNG boilers. Emission factors were calculated on the basis of fuel consumption (kg-pollutant/㎥-fuel burned). NOx concentration at industrial boiler was 14~125 ppm and it was measured as 35~125 ppm at commercial boiler. NOx emission factors of industrial boiler and commercial boiler were 1.84kg/㎥ and 2.09kg/㎥, respectively. NOx emission factor of commercial boiler was higher than that of industrial boiler. The NOx emission factors estimated in this study were lower than those of U.S. EPA and higher than those of EEA. Average CO emission factor of industrial boiler was 0.65 kg/㎥ and at commercial boiler it was 0.70kg/㎥, CO emission factor at industrial boiler was lower than that at commercial boiler.

        매복된 하악 견치의 치험례

        하악 견치의 매복은 흔하지 않으며, 특히 정중선을 지나서 전위 매복되는 경우는 매우 드물다. 매복 견치의 처치는 장애물의 존재 여부와 매복 위치와 방향, 맹출 가능한 공간의 유무, 치근의 형성 간계에 따라, 맹출 장애 요인을 제거한 후의 주기적 관찰 및 외과적 노출과 교정적 견인, 치아 이식, 외과적 발치 둥의 방법으로 이루어진다. 본 두 증례 중 치아종과 함치성 낭종을 동반한 매복 견치를 갖는 환아에서 외과적 노출과 교정적 견인을 시행하였고, 함치성 낭종과 과잉치에 의해 매복된 하악 견치를 갖는 환아에서는 견치가 친위 매복된 상태로, 교정적 견인이 어렵다고 판단되어 자가 이식 후 근관 치료와 교정 치료를 시행하였다. Impaction of mandibular canine is not common, and transmigration of mandibular canine is rare. Treatment of impacted canine can be removal of physical obstacle and periodic observation, surgical exposure of impacted tooth and orthodontic traction, autotransplantation, surgical extraction. Management of impacted canine depends on existence of physical obstacle, position and direction of impacted tooth, space available for canine eruption, stage of root development. Of the two case in this report, one case involved impaction of lower canine with odontoma and dentigerous cyst that is treated by surgical exposure and orthodontic traction. The other case involved transmigration of lower canine with supernumerary teeth. It was thought difficult to treat only by orthodontic treatment; so the impacted canine was transplanted to its normal position and orthodontic treatment was conducted.

        In this study, Mechanical property, thermal property, watervapor, and oxygen permeability of biodegradable Soy protein/Pectin-montmorillonite nanocomposite, prepared with Na^(+)-MMT, have been studied. X-ray diffraction and TEM experiments an polymer/silicate composite samples demonstrated that the intercalation of polymer chains leads to increase in the spacing between silicate layers. In addition, it were found that the intercalated Soy protein/Pectin/montmorillonite nanocomposite were prepared. It was found that the addition of only a small of clay was enough to improve the thermal stability and mechanical property of Soy protein/Pectin/montmorillonite nanocomposite. watervapor of Soy protein/Pectin/montmorillonite nanocomposite was generally lower than that of Soy protein/Pectin. oxygen permeability of Soy protein/Pectin/montmorillonite nanocomposite was generally lower than that of Soy protein/Pectin.

        partial pulpotomy를 이용한 미성숙 영구치의 치수 치료: 증례 보고

        치수치료의 주요한 목적은 구강조직의 본래의 건강을 유지하는 것이며, 치수치료 시 가장 중요하고 어려운 점은 치수조직의 건강상태 또는 염증의 정도를 결정함으로써 최선의 치료방법을 결정하는 것이다. 미성숙 영구치는 풍부한 혈류 공급으로 다양한 손상에 성공적으로 반응하게끔 치수의 능력을 향상시킴으로써 많은 치수치료 술식을 위한 좋은 조건을 가지고 있다. 기저재(base) 또는 이장재(liner), 간접 치수복조술, 직접 치수복조술, 그리고 치경부 치수절단술을 포함한 여러 종류의 보존적인 치수치료가 미성숙 영구치를 위해 추천되어 왔다. 근래에는 외상으로 인하여 치수노출된 영구절치를 치료하는데 있어 주로 제시된 부분 치수절단술(partial pulpotomy)이 우식으로 인해 치수노출된 영구대구치를 치료하는 또다른 술식으로 제안되고 있다. 부분 치수절단술 후 치아가 다음의 criteria를 만족시킬 때 치유가 되었다고 결론지었다. 1. 임상적 무증상 2. dentin bridge 형성의 방사선학적 증거 3. 방사선상에 치수내 또는 치근단 병소가 없다는 증거 4. 지속적인 치근 발육과 미성숙 치아의 치근첨 형성 5. 성숙된 치아에서 정상적인 상아질의 축적 6. 전기치수검사에서 양성 반응 이에 저자는 미성숙 영구치에서 우식 또는 외상으로 인한 치수노출시 부분 치수절단술을 행하여 양호한 결과를 얻었기에 이를 보고하는 바이다. The primary objective of pulp treatment is to maintain the integrity and health of the oral tissues. The most important and difficult aspect of pulp therapy is determining the health of the pulp, or its stage of inflammation, so that a decision can be made regarding the best form of treatment. Immature permanent teeth are good candidates for many pulp healing procedures, due to their rich blood supply, which is believed to enhance the pulp's ability to react successfully to various insults. Healing was considered to have taken place when the tooth fulfilled the following criteria: 1. Abscence of clinical symtoms 2. Radiographic evidence of dentin bridge formation 3. No intrapulpal or periapical pathosis was evident radiographically 4. Continued root development and closure of the apex in immature teeth 5. Normal dentin apposition in mature teeth 6. Positive response to electrical pulp test This presents a report of cases in which immature permanent teeth, pulp-exposed by caries or trauma, was treated successfully by partial pulpotomy

      • 휴대전화의 전자파가 생쥐의 뇌에서 p39의 발현에 미치는 영향

        p39 is a regularory subunit of Cdk5(Cyclin-dependent kinase 5) that regulate cell division. Reletive quantitation of p39 RNA has done by Q-RT PCR method. ICR female mice are exposed at electromagnetic wave making machine simulated as korean standard cellular phone wave frequency and wave length for 9 hours/day for 3 months before sacrificed. Brain regions are removed from sliced brain tissue in 400um thick. Total cellular RNA was extracted from cerebellum, hippocampus, thalamus and hypothalamus for Q-RT PCR process using SYBR green dye. In cerebellum, p39 expression level is decreased at 1/5 of the control. In thalamus and hypothalamus, the level is decreased at half of the control. But in hippocampus the expression level of the p39 is not changed. Differential effect of the cellular phone like electromagnetic wave to verious region of the brain is examined.

        상아질 접착에서 collagenase와 esterase가 미세인장결합강도에 미치는 영향

        상아질-레진 접착강도에 대한 collagenase와 esterase의 영향을 살펴보기 위해, 소구치의 교합면 상아질에 Single Bond 2와 Clearfil SE Bond로 접착을 시행하고 미세 시편을 제작하여 PBS, collagenase 용액, esterase 용액에 4주간 보관한 후 미세인장결합강도를 측정, 비교하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 모든 보관 용액에서 Single Bond 2의 미세인장결합강도는 Clearfil SE Bond보다 유의하게 낮았다(p<0.05). 2. Single Bond 2의 미세인장결합강도는 collagenase군이 PBS군, esterase군보다 낮았다(p>0.05). 3. Clearfil SE Bond의 미세인장결합강도는 esterase군이 PBS군에 비해 낮았으나(p>0.05), collagenase군보다는 높았다(p>0.05). Collagenase군은 PBS군에 비해 유의하게 낮은 미세인장결합강도를 보였다(p<0.05). The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of collagenase and esterase on the microtensile bond strength (μTBS) in dentin bonding. After resin composites were bonded to occlusal dentin, μTBS specimens were formed and stored in PBS, collagenase, or esterase solution. After 4-week storage, μTBS was determined and, the results were as follows: 1. μTBS values of Single Bond 2 were lower than those of Clearfil SE Bond for all storage medium (p<0.05). 2. In single Bond 2 group, collagenase solution lowered bond strength more than PBS and esterase solution (p>0.05). 3. In Clearfil SE Bond group, esterase solution lowered bond strength more than PBS(p>0.05). Collagenase solution lowered bond strength more than esterase solution(p>0.05) and PBS(p<0.05).
