상호문화역량과 직업전문성의 관계: 서비스 질과 직무만족의 매개효과를 중심으로

Based on interculturalism, we examined how the intercultural competency of the service practitioners affected their vocational expertise, service quality and job satisfaction by applying the structural equation model. For the purpose of the study, we employed survey from January 7 to February 13, 2020, with 478 service practitioners who have provided multi-cultural services for more than 6 months in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheong-do, and Jeolla-do. We conducted the latent structural equation model and the bootstrapping analysis using SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0. As a result of the analysis, there were statistically significant positive-correlations among cultural competency, service quality, job satisfaction, and vocational expertise. In addition, there was the mediating effect of job satisfaction on intercultural competency and vocational expertise with the statistically positive significance. Also, the dual mediating effects of job satisfaction was shown in the path leading to mutual cultural competency → service quality → job satisfaction → job expertise. In conclusion, it was confirmed that the improvement of mutual cultural competency might have improve the vocational expertise of the practitioners in the multi-cultural service fields; and, in particular, the indirect effect(.374) was the greater than the direct effect(.188) through service quality and job satisfaction. The outcomes of the study suggested that we seek the multi-disciplinary and systematic approaches as well as policy plans to strengthen mutual cultural competence of practitioners and multi-cultural practice. 본 연구의 목적은 상호문화주의에 기반하여 다문화활동가의 상호문화역량이 서비스 질과 직무만족을 매개로 직업전문성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 2020년 1월 7일부터 2월 13일까지 서울시, 경기도, 충청도, 전라도 지역에서 6개월 이상 다문화서비스를 제공하고 있는 종사자 478명의 자료를 수집하고, SPSS 24.0과 AMOS 24.0을 활용하여 잠재구조모형 및 부트스트래핑 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 상호문화역량, 서비스 질, 직무만족 및 직업전문성 간에는 유의미한 정적 상관이 있었다. 또한 상호문화역량과 직업전문성 간 직무만족의 매개효과는 유의한 정적 영향을 주었고, 상호문화역량→서비스 질→직무만족→직업전문성으로 이어지는 경로에서 직무만족의 이중 매개효과를 확인하였다. 결론적으로, 상호문화역량의 향상은 다문화활동가의 직업전문성 향상에 매우 밀접한 영향력을 미치고 있으며, 특히 서비스 질과 직무만족을 통한 직접효과(.188) 보다 간접효과(.374)가 더욱 큰 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구결과를 활용하여 다문화실천 현장에서 상호문화역량을 강화하기 위한 다각적이고 체계적인 접근과 정책 방안을 모색하고자 한다.

Purpose: The purposes of this study were to assess the knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) of standard precautions for infection control among healthcare workers (HCWs) in military division medical facilities, to investigate associations among the KAP, and to provide preliminary data for developing infection control education programs. Methods: This study is a cross-sectional, descriptive study using a self-reporting questionnaire. The subjects consisted of 141 HCWs including nursing officers, army surgeons, medical non-commissioned officers, and medics working at or below the military division medical facilities. The data were collected from August 14, to September 5, 2018 by visiting the facilities. Statistical methods including t-test, Mann-Whitney test, one-way ANOVA with Tukey post-hoc, or Kruskal-Wallis test were applied for the data analysis. Results: The knowledge scores according to general characteristics were significantly associated with sex, military rank, type of position. The practice scores according to general characteristics were significantly associated with total working experience. The results of the correlation analysis between the variables, knowledge and practice of standard precautions of infection control in nursing officer were found to be significant in this study (r=.46, p=.032). Conclusion: It is necessary to conduct further observational study that can monitor the actual practice of standard precautions of the subjects as well as the development of practical education programs for infection control in military division medical facilities.
