        Lupus anticoagulant-hypoprothrombinemia in healthy adult

        The presence of lupus anticoagulant is associated with an elevated risk of venous and arterial thrombosis, and recurrent miscarriages as well. For some cases, this disease can present with bleeding as a consequence of lupus anticoagulant‐hypoprothrombinemia (LAHPS). LAHPS is a rare disease and it is reported to be most frequent in young females with/without systemic lupus erythematosus or in healthy children who are suffering with a viral infection. In such cases, steroid therapy is usually effective in normalizing the biological abnormalities and controlling the bleeding problems. A 34-year-old previously healthy man was admitted to our department because of his prolonged coagulation times; these abnormalities were discovered before performing orthopedic surgery. The prothrombin time (PT) was 15.2 sec, and the activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) was 37.7 sec. A 1:1 dilution of patient plasma with normal plasma nearly corrected the PT, but this failed to correct the APTT. Evaluation of the clotting factors revealed decreased levels of factors II, V, VIII, IX and XI. The presence of LA was demonstrated by the dRVVT test, and the patient was diagnosed with LAHPS. He was successfully treated with corticosteroid before performing the orthopedic surgery.         4차 산업혁명과 군사혁신 4.0

        세계는 오늘날 4차 산업혁명이라는 거대한 소용돌이 속으로 빠져들고 있다. 무인자율, 3D 프린팅, 로봇공학, 인공지능, 신소재, 사물인터넷, 빅데이터, 합성 생물학, 유전자 편집 등 모든 과학기술과 지식·정보 분야에 걸친 혁신이 미증유의 빠른 속도와 거센 힘으로 진행되는 새로운 시대가 열린 것이다. 안보와 국방 분야도 4차 산업혁명의 본질과 특성, 기술 체계 등을 면밀하게 추적하고 필요한 대책을 강구하여야 할 것이다. 이 논문은 새롭게 가속적으로 진행되고 있는 4차 산업혁명이 군에 미치는 영향과 군의 대비 방향을 모색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 우선, 이제까지 인류 역사에 단절적 변혁을 가져온 문명 패러다임 속에서 군사 분야의 혁신이 어떻게 발생되었는지를 개관한다. 다음은 4차 산업혁명 시대에 군사 분야의 새로운 혁신(군사혁신 4.0)이 어떤 모습으로 나타날 것인지를 조망해본다. 이를 위해 4차 산업혁명의 본질과 방향성, 4차 산업혁명시대의 안보패러다임 변화, 군사혁신 4.0의 창출 가능성과 그 방향 등에 관해 서술한다. 끝으로는 하나의 시론으로서 한국의 군사혁신 4.0 구현 개념과 지향 방향을 제시한다. The world has been caught in a whirling vortex of so-called the forth industrial revolution. A new era in which innovations ranging from unmanned autonomy, 3D printing, robotics, artificial intelligence, new materials, internet of things, big data, synthetic biology to gene editing is rapidly emerging. In this context, the security and defence sector should also elucidate thoroughly the fundamental nature and the technology system of the forth industrial revolution, so that it can take necessary measures in a timely manner. This paper aims at investigating the influence of the fourth industrial revolution, which is accelerating dramatically, on the military sphere, and devising the direction of the military accordingly. To this end, the paper first outlines how the revolution in military affairs(RMA) has emerged along with a civilization paradigm that has so far led to drastic changes in human history. Then, the following chapter discusses what new revolution in military affairs(RMA 4.0) will look like in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. More specifically, it explores the nature and orientation of the fourth industrial revolution, the security paradigm shift in the fourth industrial revolution era, and the possibility as well as direction of the creation of RMA 4.0. Finally, from a point of current view, this paper suggests the concept and aspects of implementation of Korea’s RMA 4.0.

      • 과학적 전투발전을 위한 전투실험 발전 방향

        Combat Development is process of studying and developing concept, doctrine, weapon systems, organization and training for the improvement of combat capability to be ready present and future warfare. The combat development domain consists of 6 fields Doctrine, Organization, Material, Training, Personnel, and Facilities. The cornerstones of combat development are "How to prepare" and "How to fight" in the future warfare. ROK- TRADOC(Republic of Korea Army Training and Doctrine Command) has implemented combat development that applies CBRS (Concept-Based Requirements System) and "Vision - Capstone concept - operating and functional concept - FOC(Future Operational Capabilities) Requirements". To prepare for the possibility or new types or wars in the future, the creation of new concept and system is essential. Though verification with various instruments, combat power can be secured and exhibited. Combat development by empirical mind estimation means that is no longer relevant.To prepare combat development based on scientific analysis, there is a need for powerful engineering analysis and verification, in order to prepare for uncertain and diverse future battlefield environments. In this thesis, warfighting experiment is essential ways and means to pursue the scientific combat development ; investigated tendency of combat development environment, and analyzed diversification aspects of possible future warfare. In conclusion, concept of campaign experiment and role is the conerstone of scientific combat development; and lays out the roadmap of all affecting components to its development.
