It is one of the important design concept th lead a ductile failure at the ultimate state for the concrete structures. If a ductile failure occurs, we can observe and predict the failure process of members and structure. Therefore, we can either avoid or count move to the collapse for the ductile failure energy. Most of the previous studies on ductility are focused on reinforced concrete members. Prestressed concrete members are supposed to be less ductile than reinforced concrete members, because the prestressing tendons have less ultimate strain. To see the ductility and re-distribution effect of prestressed concrete members, we need and experiment of the statically indeterminate members. We carry out an experiment of prestressed concrete two span continuous beam, to compare the ductile behavior. From the test, we observe that the ultimate rotation capacity of the prestressed concrete members are less than predicted by theory. It means the prestressed concrete members has more ductility than prediction, which gives conservative results in design. It needs more precise analysis to consider stain hardening of reinforcing bars and tendons to follow up the test results.

This study was made to analysis of taste compounds in extracts which may participate in flavor and taste, in dried Prawn. Penacus japonicus. The changes of such compounds during sun during as free amino acids were analyzed. The results are summarized as follows : Among the free amino acids analyzed, glycine, arginine, proline, taurine and alanine were found in large amounts in the raw extracts, the amount of valine, methionine, isoleucine, leucine and tyrosine were low. The free amino acids were not changed in composition but the decrease of total free amino acid was approximately 588 mg% during sun during. In sun dried prawn, glycine, arginine, taurine, proline and alanine were abundant too.

과립상 세포종은 Schwann 세포 기원으로 생각되며 인체에 비교적 드물게 발생한다. 과립상 세포종은 전신 어느 곳에서나 발견될 수 있으나 주로 혀, 구강, 피부 혹은 유방 등에서 호발하며 드물게 위장관에서 발견된다. 위장관에서는 식도에서 가장 호발하며 다음으로 위, 대장 순이다. 과립상 세포종은 대부분, 특히 위장관에서는 양성이며 소수의 악성 병변이 보고되었다. 이러한 이유와 함께 수술 전의 진단이 어렵기 때문에 과립상 세포종에 대한 근본적인 치료는 현재까지 외과적 절제술이다. 최근에 시도되는 치료방법들로는 내시경적 레이저 치료, 용종절제술, 내시경적 점막 절제술 등이 있다. 저자들은 상부 소화관 내시경검사를 시행하여 식도 과립상 세포종을 진단하고 내시경적 점막 절제술을 시행하여 합병증 없이 퇴원하여 현재 재발없이 경과 관찰중인 1례를 경험하였기에 보고하는 바이다. Granular cell tumors, which occur infrequently, are probably of Schwann cell origin. They can occur almost anywhere in the body but usually affect the tongue, oral cavity, skin, or breasts and are rarely found in the gastrointestinal tracts. The esophagus is the most frequent gastrointestinal site, followed by the stomach and the colon. Granular cell tumors are generally benign, especially in the gastrointestinal tract, some malignant lesions have been reported. For this reason, and also because preoperative diagnosis is difficult, the standard treatment for granular cell tumor has until now been surgical excision. In recent years, other therapeutic methods is endoscopic laser therapy (ELT), polypectiomy, endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR). We report a case of esophageal granular cell tumor which was diagnosed by an endoscopy and managed using an endoscopic mucosal resection without complication.
정신분열병 환자에서 Olanzapine이 인지기능에 미치는 영향

Objects : The purpose of this study was to test the effects of olanzapine on cognitive functions in schizophrenic patients. Methods : The subjects were 16 haloperidol-medicated schizophrenic patients and 15 risperidone-medicated schizophrenic patients, who participated in an eight-week crossover study from haloperidol and risperidone to olanzapine. Results : The patients in the group of crossover from haloperidol to olanzapine showed significant improvement in Parkinson scale of ESRS and other cognitive functions except for verbal fluency. Negative scale of PANSS and cognitive functions such as verbal memory, verbal fluency, visual memory and executive function were significantly improved in patients In the group of crossover from risperidone to olanzapine. Conclusions : These data suggest that olanzapine has some superior cognitive benefits relative to haloperidol and risperidone, but a larger sample replication study is necessary.
천추 전방에서 발생한 신경절 세포종 : 증례 보고 A Case Report

We have experienced a case of presacral ganglioneuroma. So, we report a peripheral ganglioneuroma of sacral origin. The patient is 34-year-old man with intermittent low back pain and right sciatica. Myelographic computed tomography revealed extradural lobulated low attenuated tumor lesion within spinal canal at the level of L5 and S1. Tumor indented the thecal sac to the left side, and extended into the pelvic cavity through the intervertebral foramen between S1 and S2. The mass was surgically excised and turned out to be ganglioneuroma pathologically.
저면 반사파를 이용한 피로 균열의 정량적 평가에 관한 연구

Fatigue cracks due to thermal stratification or corrosion in pipelines of nuclear power plants can cause serious problems on reactor cooling system. Therefore, these cracks must be detected before the crack growth to ensure the reliable operation. Ultrasonic techniques have been employed for detecting and sizing these fatigue cracks propagated from the back wall of pipelines. But, it is very difficult to sizing fatigue cracks because of low amplitude of the diffracted tip signal, high noise signal and ultrasound transmission through the closed crack surface. In this study, the signal reflected from the back wall is adopted instead of weak tip signals. In addition, the rate of decrease in amplitude of reflected signals due to reflection at the crack surface and diffraction at the crack tip is used to size fatigue cracks.

FIB (Focused ion beam) system is one of the most important equipments for the nano-scale machining. Various researches have been performed, since it can etch the material and deposit 3-D structure with high-aspect-ratio in the nanometer scale. In spite of those researches, the definite method for the reliability of FIB system has not been reported. In this paper, we proposed the reliability assessment method through nano-pattern fabrication. In the fabricated nano-pattern, the characteristics of FIB system are included. Using this effect, we tried to assess the FIB reliability. First, we suggested reliability assessment items and nano-patterns. And, to know the suitableness of the proposed method, we fabricated several nano-patterns using Nova200(FEI Company) and SMI2050(SEIKO) which are FIB apparatuses. The fabricated nano-patterns are measured with SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) and compared with designed dimensions. And the compared results showed that the proposed method is suitable for the assessment of FIB system reliability.

본 연구에서는 하수 처리장에서 발생되는 상당량의 폐 슬러지를 전처리 없이 중금속 제거에 사용하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 폐 슬러지를 이용하여 중금속을 제거하는 것이다. 온도와 pH, 초기 농도의 영향과 보관 시간에 따른 납 흡착량의 영항을 흡착등온 모델과 흡착속도 모델에 적용시켜 활성슬러지의 납 흡착 특성을 고찰하였다. 납, 카드뮴, 크롬, 니켈 중 슬러지는 납을 가장 많이 제거하였고, pH 4.5~5.5에서 최대의 흡착량을 나타냈으며, 온도가 증가할수록 흡착량은 증가하였고, Langmuir model에 잘 적용되었으며, 초기 최대 흡착속도도 Michaelis-Menten 형태 식으로부터 구하였다. In sewage treatment plant, waste sludge was one of bothering thing to be treated. The objective of this study was to examine the removal of heavy metal by waste sludge. The effect of factors such as temperature, pH, storage time, initial concentration of lead, and initial amount of biomass on adsorption of lead was investigated. And the biosorption model, adsorption isotherm, and initial adsorption rate model were evaluated. Waste sludge was proved to have an excellent ability to remove lead than other heavy metals such as cadmium, chromium, nickel in pure and mixed solution. The optimum pH of biosorption with waste sludge was 4.5~5.5, and the amount of adsorption was increased with increasing temperature. The adsorption isotherm of lead to waste sludge followed to Langmuir model. The initial adsorption rate of lead to waste sludge followed to Michaelis-Menten type kinetic.
