영웅서사시 《사내대장부 한 하랑고이》의행위자 이동(Actant-Shift) 분석-Greimas의 ‘발령자(Destinateur)’ 개념 재검토를 중심으로-

본 연구는 ‘행위자 이동(Actant-Shift)’ 개념을 통해 몽골 영웅서사시 《사내대장부 한 하랑고이(Эрийн сайн Хан Харангуй)》를 분석하며, 서사 내 역할의 역동적인 변화 양상에 주목한다. 이를 위해 그레마스(A. J. Greimas)의 행위자 모델을 수정ㆍ도입하고, ‘발령자(Destinateur)’의 개념을 서사를 추동하는 핵심 기제로 재검토한다. 분석 결과, 해당 서사시는 서로 대립하는 두 가치 체계의 이중 구조 속에서 전개됨이 밝혀졌다. 이는 기존의 신적 질서를 대변하는 ‘반-발령자’와 새로운 인간 중심적 질서를 구현하는 ‘정-발령자’ 간의 대립이다. 반-발령자는 특정 인물에게 주체에 대한 적대자 역할을 부과하는 간접적 방식으로 개입하며 주인공의 시련을 심화시킨다. 여성 인물들은 ‘수행적 발령자’로서 영웅에게 과업을 제시하고 무력화된 주체를 회복시키며, 다음 세대에게 주체의 역할을 계승하도록 한다. ‘아버지’는 ‘상징적 발령자’로서 영웅의 성취를 판정하고 공인하며, 주체에게 최종 권위를 부여한다. 이러한 메커니즘을 통해, 본 연구는 서사 행위자 사이에서 지속적으로 발생하는 ‘행위자 이동’이 이야기의 구조적 동력으로 작용함을 규명한다. 본 연구는 《한 하랑고이》를 텍스트 내 질서의 재편과 계승을 중심에 둔 인물 간 역학 관계의 서사로 재해석하는 한편, 서사 내 역할 전환의 역학을 설명하는 틀로서 그레마스 행위자 모델의 확장된 적용 가능성을 제안한다. This study analyzes the Mongolian heroic epic(Баатарлаг Тууль), Eriin Sain Khan Kharangui(Эрийн сайн Хан Харангуй) through the concept of Actant-Shift, focusing on the dynamic transformation of narrative roles. Adopting and revising A. J. Greimas’s actantial model, it reconsiders the notion of the Destinateur (Sender) as the central mechanism driving the narrative. The analysis reveals that the epic unfolds within a dual structure of opposing value systems: the anti-destinateur (Heavenly gods), representing the existing divine order, and the destinateur proper (the Father), embodying a new human-centered order. The anti-destinateur operates indirectly by assigning the role of opponent to mediating figures, thereby intensifying the protagonist’s trials. Female figures function as performative destinateurs who initiate quests, restore the incapacitated subject, and transmit the role of the subject to the next generation. Finally, the Father, as a symbolic destinateur, judges and legitimizes the hero’s achievements, conferring upon him the authority of a new order. Through these mechanisms, the epic demonstrates how Actant-Shift—the continual transition of functional roles among narrative agents—serves as the structural engine of the story. This study reinterprets Khan Kharangui as a narrative of relational dynamics centered on the reorganization and succession of cosmic order, while proposing an expanded reading of Greimas’s actantial model as a framework for explaining the dynamics of role transition in narrative discourse.
