        본 논문에서는 수중음향통신을 활용하여 CTD센서와 DO센서를 통해 수중환경데이터를 측정하고, 측정된 값을 육상에서 확인할 수 있도록 하는 실험을 진행하였다. 본 실험은 남해 실해역에서 20년 12월 12일부터 20일까지 진행되었으며, 구조물은 해수면에 해상부이 1대, 해저면에 수중기지국 2대, 센서노드 10대를 설치하였다. 모든 구조물에는 송신을 위한 트랜스듀서와 수신을 위한 하이드로폰이 장착된다. 해상부이는 해저면에 설치된 수중기지국과 센서노드에서 수중환경데이터를 수신한 후 육상 서버와 통신하여 패킷을 전송한다. 데이터는 1시간 단위로 전송되도록 설정하였으며 실험결과, 패킷 성공률은 약91.20%인 것을 확인하였다.

      • 갑상선 세포에서 전사보조활성인자인 CBP와 CIITA의 인터페론-감마 활성 부위에 대한 조절 : CBP and CIITA on GAS(Interferon- γ Activated Site)-Mediated Transcription in Thyroid Cells

        Background : In the previous stuides, we identified that the interferon-r activated sequence (GAS) in the 5-flanking region of rat ICAM-1 gene is major element for interferon-r-inducible expression of the gene in rat thyroid cells, FRTL-5. We here, investigated the role of transcriptional coactivators, CBP(CREB binding protein) and CⅡTA (class Ⅱ transactivator) in the modulation of the activity of GAS which could interacts with signal transducers and activators of transcription-1 and 3 (STAT1 and STAT3). Methods : The expression of CBP RNA and protein were quantitated in FRTL-5 after stimulation with interferon-r (IFN-r), thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), forskolin and methimazole. Direct association of CBP with STAT were analyzed by immunoprecipitation. The transcriptional roles of CBP and CⅡTA in the regulation of GAS were assessed by the cotransfection with their expression vectors with reporters; 5-deletion constructs of rat ICAM-1 promoter or 8xGAS-luc constructs, into FRTL-5 thyroid cells. Results : The level of CBP RNA and protein were not changed by the treatment with TSH, IFN-r, forskolin and methimazole in FRTL-5, FRT and BRL liver cells. The CBP could be directly associated with STAT1. Furthermore, the overexpression of CBP significantly increases the both promoter activities; rat ICAM-1 gene promoter which has GAS element and 8xGAS-luc cassette constructs. However, the cotransfection of CⅡTA decreased the constitutive and CBP-mediated transactivation of rat ICAM-1 promoter and 8xGAS-luc cassette constructs. Conclusion : We identified that the two tanscriptional coactivators; CBP and CⅡTA has differential roles in the regulation of transcriptional activity of GAS drived promoter. CBP increases the GAS activity through the direct binding with STAT1, but CⅡTA inhibited the CBP-mediated transactivation of GAS activity.

        자연 방사선량 중 ²²²Rn 기여 성분 정량 해석

        옥외 라돈이 호흡기관에 주는 선량을 측정·평가할 목적으로 CR-39 비적검출기를 내장한 라돈컵을 사용하여 대기중 라돈농도를 측정하였다. 직접형 검출기 및 개방 컵과 필터 컵의 구조를 갖는 CR-39비적검출기에 대한 라돈검출인자는 공기중의 농도가 잘 알려진 표준라돈 조사시설에서 이들 검출기와 라돈컵을 일정기간 조사하여 결정하였다. CR-39를 70°c, 30% NaOH용액으로 220분간 화학부식하였을 때 직접형 거출기와 개방 컵, 필터 컵에 대한 라돈검출인자는 각각 0.273, 0.0813, 0.0371tr mm-2/37 Bqm-3·d)였다. 또한 1988년 5월에서 1989년 3월까지 대전(충남대학교)에서 측정한 대기중의 라돈농도는 개방 컵에 의한 결과는 27.4 - 135.8Bq/m3(0.74 - 3.67 pCi/l)로서 연평균 73.3 Bq/m3(1.98 pCi/l)이었으며, 필터 컵에 의한 결과는 16.7 - 143.9 Bq/m3(0.45 - 3.89 pCi/l)로 연평균 68.5 Bq/m3(1.85 pCi/)이었다. 측정한 옥외 대기중이 라돈농도와 부위별 폐선량모형으로부터 산출한 ICRP표준인의 호흡기관에 대한 실효 선량당량률은 약 520 nSv/h로 평가되었다. A study for the assessment of dose given by outdoor radon to respiratory system has been carried out by making use of radon-cups containing CR-39 plastic track detectors. Detection efficiencies were determined by irradiation of the radon-cups in a standard radon chamber of known concentration. Thus determined detection factors of CR-39 plastic track detector in bare, open cup and filtered cup geometry are found to be 0.273, 0.0813 and 0.0371 trmm-2/(37 Bqm-3 d), respectively, which are chemically etched in 30% NaOH solution of 70℃ for 220 minutes. The outdoor radon concentrations measured at Taejeon (Chungnam National University) from May 1988 to March 1989 are in the range of 27.4 - 135.8 Bq/m3 (0.74 - 3.67pCi/l) by open cup and 16.7 - 143.9 Bq/m3 (0.45 - 3.89pCi/l) by filtered cup, which yield overall annual average value of outdoor radon concentration of 70.8 Bq/m3 (1.91 pCi/l). Corresponding effective dose equivalent rate to respiratory system of ICRP standard man is assessed to be 520nSv/h.

        This study measured physical fitness with 282 middle-aged women between 30 and 59, living in G metropolitan city who have no abnormality as a result of physical examination with a view to develop standardization method of health and strength factors by age and model of converting such factors into health age measures and obtained the following conclusions. In comparison of physical fitness by age. there were statistically significant differences in grip strength, sit-up, side step, reaction time. trunk extension, sargent jump. close eyes foot balance, Vo2max, and subjects in their thirties showed higher scores in physical fitness measurement and the older they are, the lower their strength.

      • 도금사업장의 작업환경의 유해인자 노출수준에 관한 연구

        Objective : For the purpose of preparing the fundamental data and assessing the status of exposure level of chemical substances and physical agents. Methods and Material : Such as noise, two types of dust, four types of metals, seventeen types of organic solvents, and four types of other materials classified by specific chemical substances in 21 metal product plating factories classified by 28 processes. The author determined exposure level on those hazardous materials from Jan. to Dec. 2001. Results : The results were as follows: 1. The exposure level for noise was exceeded to Threshold Limit Value(TLV) in the process of 6 cases of Machining, 5 and 4 cases of pre and post-buffing, and 6 cases of waterdrop-removing, the mean noise level of all of processes was not exceeded to compliance level. 2. The exposure level for dust was not exceeded to TLV at all. 3. The exposure level for Chromium(Cr) was exceeded to TLV in Chromium plating process, metal exposure level including Zinc(Zn), Manganese(Mn), and Lead(Pb) was not exceeded to TLV. 4. The exposure level of toluene in case of organic solvents was exceeded to TLV in 1 case of finishing/cleaning, coating/developing process, respectively. 5. The exposure level of four types of other materials classified by specific chemical substances were not exceeded to TLV. 6. The exposure level for dust and metal including Zn, Mn, and Pb was decreased in comparison with two results of air monitoring performed. There was no difference of the exposure level for Cr, noise, and four types of other materials classified by specific chemical substances, and the exposure level for organic solvents was slightly increased. 7. The exposure level for noise in factories employing more than 21 workers was higher than that for noise in foadtories employing less than 20 workers. The more workers, the lower exposure level in metal including Zn, Mn. The exposure level for Cr was increasing in factories employing more than 51 workers, and the more workers the lower exposure level in organic solvents. Conclusion : According to above results, this study suggests positive work environment managements in processes exceeding exposure limit value as well as continuously consecutive work environment management in processes not exceeding exposure limit value and revealing no chronological difference of exposure level should be needed.

      • 담양신설 IC의 교통소음도 조사연구

        After the vehicle has become a large formation with high-speed, loud noise from an express highway is increasing, and the number of large-scale apartment complexes, which are recently being constructed in the metropolitan area nearby the express highway and IC, is increasing gradually. Compared with a main road, the traffic volume and the speed of a vehicle between IC and the ramp way [turn-off] are smaller. If the ramp way is rightly connected with the downtown area, however, the traffic-noise that comes about in surrounding areas will be in conjunction with the traffic-noise from the main road of express highway and that of the ramp way. This research has selected a place that hasn't had a road or a commercial quarter nearby the main-road of IC and ramp way. Then we have studied the traffic-noise status under minimizing influence of its outer-noise, which occurs in IC. 1. The traffic volume change of a small and full-sized car with time has been kept on regularity in 2004 and 2005. As the traffic volume of a full-sized car has diminished remarkably, it has been maintaining through 6:00a.m.-10:00 a.m. As it has decreased since lO:OO a.m.. we have also observed the traffic proportion going up. 2. Monthly traffic volume of small cars was higher in May, August and October than other months. We have observed that the high traffic volume during these months is due to the following: May-The Damyang festival, August-a high-demand season, October-viewing scarlet maple leaves. Monthly traffic volume of full-sized cars was generally higher in August, but it has decreased during 2006. This was due to the many construction trucks that were working on the extension of the 88 Olympic expressway. Therefore, there was more traffic volume in 2006 compared to 2004 and 2005. 3. In this study, the noise figures have been less than 55 dB(A) in 18 spots. There were 14 spots from 55dB(A) to 58dB(A). 58-61dB(A) : 20, 61-64dB(A) : 17, 64-67dB(A) : 18. There were 8 spots we observed at the highest level from 67dB(A) to 70dB(A). Those were the nearby spots separating the main road and Damyang IC. 4. Traffic-noise at the boundary between IC and the main road of an expressway was higher than that of the same distance in other places. 5. We have observed that traffic-noise is low in places with mountains that serve the role of soundproofing walls. Thus, the fundamental sound hadn't affected it.

      • 인간 재조합 인터루긴-32 면역조절작용에 대한 유세포 분석

        Xenotransplantation of porcine organs has the potential to overcome the severe shortage of human tissues and organ available for human transplantation. however, it remains various hurdles for clinical xenotransplantation. In pig and mouse xenotransplantation, porcine xenograft evoke a strong cellular rejection response in immunocompetent host and grafts are destroyed within a week. This cellular immune response could involved both T cells and NK cells. A number of groups have shown that human NK cells can recognize and damage porcine endothelial cells. In addition, human T cells can respond to porcine endothelial cells through both direct and indirect mechanisms. Cellular rejection of porcine tissues requires T cells, particularly CD4^(+) cells. A new cytokine recombinant human interleukin-32α,β(IL-32α,β) has a role innate and acquired immune system. In order to investigate the role of recombinant mouse IL-18 and recombinant human IL-32α,β in xenograft rejection, we transplanted the PK(15) cells to C57BL/6 mice with or without intraperitoneal injection of recombinant mouse IL-18 or recombinant human IL-32 α,β. It was analyzed the population of NK cell, T cell and B cell in the C57BL/6 mice transplanted with PK(15) cells and recombinant mouse IL-18 or recombinant human IL-32α,β by flow cytometry analysis. As a result, lymph node and thymus of PK15/IL18, PK15/IL32α and PK15/IL32β injected group were increased to T cell activation population than normal injected groups. CD8^(+) T cells were decreased in lymph node of PK15/IL18, PK15/IL32α and PK15/IL32β injected groups. CD4^(+) T cells were increased in lymph node cell of PK15/IL32α and PK15/IL32β injected group and also, B cell population were increased in lymph node cell and spleen of PK15/IL18, PK15/IL32α and PK15/IL32β injected group. Therefore, we suggest that recombinant mouse IL-18 and recombinant human IL-32α,β suppress xenograft rejection in cellular xenotransplantation.

CR-39를 70℃, 30% NaOH용액으로 220분간 화학부식하였을 때 직접형 검출기와 개방 컵, 필터 컵에 대한 라돈검출인자는 각각 0.273, 0.0813, 0.0371 tr㎜^-2/(37Bqm^-3·d)였다. 또한 1988년 5월에서 1989년 3월까지 대전(충남대학교)에서 측정한 대기중의 라돈농도는 개방 컵에 의한 결과는 2.74-18.87Bq/㎥(0.07-0.5pCi/ℓ)로서 연평균 8.25Bq/㎥(0.22pCi/ℓ)이었으며, 필터 컵에 의한 결과는 1.67-19.76Bq/㎥(0.05-0.54pCi/ℓ)로 연평균 8.18q/㎥(0.22pCi/ℓ)이었다. 그리고 대기중의 라돈농도에서 ^(220)Rn의 기여성분은 무시할 수 있을 정도인 것으로 판단되었다. 측정한 옥외 대기중의 라돈농도와 부위별 폐선량모형으로부터 ICRP 표준인의 호흡기관에 대한 유효선량당량률은 약 60nSv/h(0.5mSv/y)로 평가되었다. The annual averaged value of the measured outdoor radon concentration is 8.2Bq/㎥(0.22pCi/l). Corresponding effective dose equivalent rate to respiratory system of ICRP standard man is assessed to be 60nSv/h or 0.5mSv/y.

      • 실험적으로 유도된 이독성 난청에서의 Ginkgo Extract의 효과

        이독성 난청에서의 Ginkgo extract의 효과를 보고자 기닉픽 22마리를 대상으로 이음향방사를 측정하여 난청군과 치료군을 비교 검토한 바 성적을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 난청군에서의 DP-OAE는 대군조에 비해 전 주파수에서 감소 내지 소실을 보였으며4KHz 에서만 선택적으로 큰 감소를 나타낸것도 있었다. Ginkgo estract로 예방 치료한 군에서는 난청군에 비해 DP-OAE가 현저하게 출현 하였으며 정상 DP-OAE소견을 나타낸 것도 있었다. 난청치료군에서도 난청군에 비해 전체적으로 DP-OAE 가높게 출현되고 있었다. 이상의 소견으로 보아 Ginkgo estract가 이독성 난청과 감각신경성 난청에서의 예방 및 치료 효과의 가능성을 제시해 준다고 생각되는 바이다. This study was designed to investigate the effect of Ginkgo biloba extract on the kanamycin induced ototxicity in inner ears 22 guinea pigs. The animals were divied into 4 groups. In ototoxic group, kanamycin was injected 400mg/kg per day for 7 to 10 days. In preventive treated group, kanamycin with same dose and Ginkgo biloba extract(50mg/kg)were simultaneously injected daily for same duration. In post treated toup, Ginkgo extract was treated for 15 days in kanamycin injected group. The Preyer's reflex and DP-OAE (distortion product otoacoustic emissions) were used for the monitoring of hearing changes. In the ototoxic group, the amplitude of DP-OAE was marked decreased or disappeared in all test frequencies or 4KHz only. The Preyer's reflex was disappeared in all ototoxic group. In the preventive treated group with Ginkgo extract, normal DP-OAE or slightly decreased DP-OAE in 4 KHz was noticed. This finding was seemed to be similar to the post-treated group. From the above results, Ginkgo extract is suggested to have beneficial effects for the management of ototoxicity and sensorineural hearing loss.

      • 월출산국립공원 수질특성에 관한 연구

        Because mountain streams have narrow widths and steep slopes compared to streams and lakes, hours of immobility are considerably short, and the quality of mountain streams has been greatly influenced by rainfall, land-use, components of the streambed and types of forests. During the summer when heavy rainfall occurs, eroded earth and sand flow into mountain streams and cause temporarily high turbidity. It is also the cause of eutrophication, which is frequently found in downstream. As evaluation standards for the quality of mountain streams were not established in Korea, this quality was evaluated by examining some items based on quality standards for drinkable water and research on the influences of pollution in mountain streams, which showed that these were seldom in downstream water systems. Mountain streams within Wolchulsan National Park flow into a reservoir and when characteristics of mountain streams from forests and rainfall that flow into mountain streams through forest ecosystems were studied, results of measuring its changes are as follows. Monthly changes of pH were low between April and August and higher starting October, and the EC was measured higher in the winter and the spring and tended to be low starting April. The EC on the 19th of May and the 23rd of October and the concentration of floating materials and COD_(Mn) were observed to be higher due to the influence of rainfall on the 19th of May and the 22nd of October, and it was judged that the washing out of dried deposits attached to the water pipe and the leaching of woods were influenced by rainfall. It is considered that real-time monitoring of water quality for a long time and water quality conditions during and after rainfall should be examined for ensuring basic data of water quality and evaluating characteristics and seasonableness of mountain streams, which may be greatly changed by artificial influence in the future.
