Reciprocal lattice explorer는 de Jong-Bouman camera와 Buerger precession camera를 合친것이다. 이 explorer를 使用하면 goniometer에 한번 固定한 試料를 使用하여 그 試料의 空間群을 決定하는데 必要한 모든 寫眞을 撮影할 수 있으며 그들은 찌그러지지 않은 逆格子面의 寫眞들이다. 本 論文에서는 de Jong-Bouman 과 Buerger precession 寫眞術의 原理와 使用法을 記述 하였고 또한 de Jong-Bouman의 振動寫眞과 zeroth layer 寫眞으로부터 11個 Laue群의 識別方法도 提示하였다. The reciprocal lattice explorer is an instrument which incorporates the principles of both the Buerger precession and the de Jong-Bouman methods. On the explorer all photographs which are necessary for a space group determination can be taken with a single setting of a crystal and the photographs show undistorted pictures of the reciprocal lattice planes. In this paper, the principles and the usages of the de Jong-Bouman and the Buerger precession photography are described, and a method of 11 Laue group identification using the de Jong-Bouman oscillation and zeroth layer photographs is shown.

A new black seed coated soybean cultivar with yellow cotyledon, Geomjeongsaeol was developed at the YeongnamAgricultural Research Institute (YARI) in 2004. Geomjeongsaeol was selected from a cross Keunol/ Geomjeongol. The prelimi-nary, advanced, and regional yield trials for evaluation and selection of this line (Milyang 123) were carried out from 1999 tospherical seed shape, oval leaflet shape, and large seed size (31.1 grams per 100 seeds), and it was 4 days later in maturity than thecheck variety Geomjeongol. In the seed quality such a crude protein, oligo-saccharide, and anthocyanin contents, Geomjeongsaeolwas higher than check variety, and it has good adaptability for cooking with rice. It also has been identified to have resistance tosaeol was 2.34 ton per hectare in the regional yield trials (RYT) carried out for two years from 2003 to 2004 which was 26 percenthigher than the check variety Geomjeongol.

This paper discribes a microstrip low pass filter design procedure. Exact analysis of the low-high-low and high-low-high microstrip line structure, that is then performed by evaluating the transmission coefficient as a function of frequency with the aid of a computer. An analytical and experimental results showed good agreement for low- high-low and high- low- high microstrip line structure.

BF_3-etherate 촉매하에 1-methyl-2-cyclohexen-1-ol과 resorcinol의 알킬화반응으로 분자간과 분자내 화합물을 얻었다. 생성물은 1-methyl-2-cyclohexen-1-ol이 탄소 3번 위치와 resorcinol의 탄소 2,4,5과 6 위치에서 결합하여 1차와 2차 알킬화합물을 얻었다.

Background: Recently there has been evidences that serum Lp(a), an independent risk factor to atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases, were increased in proteinuric disorders such as nephrotic syndrome and diabetic nephropathy. Methods: We intended to search of altered concentrations of Lp(a) in proteinuric disorder measuring serum Lp(a) concentrations with ELISA in 44 glomerulonephritic patients(25 nephrotic syndrome(N5), 19 non-nephrotic range proteinuric glomerulonephritis(GN), 25 diabetic nephropathy patients(DN), and 31 healthy controls(HC). Also, we compared Lp(a) concentration between glomerulonephritis patients and diabetic nephropathy patients with proteinuria of similar degree. Results: 1) There were significantly increased levels of total cholesterol, triglyceride, and LDL-cholesterol in NS compared to GN, DN, HC. 2) There were significantly increased concentrations of serum Lp(a) in NS compared to HC, but no significant difference in serum Lp(a) among NS, GN, and DN. 3) There was no significant difference in serum Lp(a) concentrations between NS & DN with 24 hour urine protein greater than 3.0g. 4) There was no significant difference in serum Lp(a) concentration between GN with 24 hour urine protein greater than 0.5 g and less than 1.5g and DN with proteinuria of similar degree. 5) In glomerulonephritis patients, there was negative correlation between serum Lp(a) concentration and serum albumin level but correlation with 24 hour urinary protein, total cholesterol, LDL- cholesterol, and HDL-cholesterol was not shown. In diabetic nephropathy, there was no significant correlation among serum Lp(a) concentration and all parameters including serum albumin, 24 hour urinary protein, and other lipid profiles. Conclusion: The present study confirmed that patients with nephrotic syndrome of diverse etiologies have markedly increased plasma level of Lp(a), in conjunction with other lipid abnormalities. However, this study shows no difference in Lp(a) concentrations between diabetic nephropathy and glomerulonephritis with similar degree of proteinuria.

Background: Onychomycosis, especially toenail onychomycosis has become one of the common fungal infection and has historically been regarded as a cosmetic rather than medical problem by many patients, even by physicians. Recently, however, there are several reports that is a refractory disease which may cause a deleterious effect on patiets quality of life (QOL). Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of toenail onychomycosis on QOL in Korea and to assess the chandes of QOL after treatment. Methods: Total 1004 patients with toenail onychomycosis which was confirmed by clinical findings and KOH preparation were were enrolled at 47 dermatologic centers in Korea, and interviewed with standardized QOL questionnaire before and after sytemic antifungal treatment. Responses to the questionnaire were scored by 5-point scale (1∼4) and averaged, and were analyzed for 5 dimensions of emotional impact, social impact, symptorn and functional impact, patients views concerning treatment, and relationship with doctor. Results: 1. Before and after treatment, the most serious impact was emotional dimension showing 1.90 and 1.30 in average score (AS), and social (AS: 1.14 and 0.83) and symptom and functional impact (AS: 1.05 and 0.92) was also affected. 2. In female rather than male, statistically more significant impact on patients QOL was observed in all dimensions. 3. After treatment, 3 of 5 dimensions were improved significantly - emotional dimension (AS : from 1.90 to 1.30), social dimension (AS: from 1.14 to 0.83), patients view concerning treatment (AS: from 1.34 to 1.02). 4. The drgree of patients satisfaction at the therapeutic effect was very high- 62.4% (immediately after treatment) and 65.8% (9 months affer initiation of treatment) of patients answered excellent or good. Conclusion: This study confirms that toenail onychomycosis has significant impact on the overall QOL of patients. Also the effect of antifungal therapy on patients QOL were watisfactory. Therefore, both doctor and patient should pay more attention to the treatment of onychomycosis. [Kor J Med Mycol 3(1): 115∼124]
