Under a great principle that we must transport our cargos by own ships which we have constructed, Korea is about to promote a positive enlargement plan of the maritime industry in 1980's. In this paper, the author has attempted to attempted to study the characteristics, the importances, and circumstances of the maritime trade, and, for the diversifications of Korea's maritime trade, stressed the necessities to diversify the ships' parties, the related industries, and the policies of the maritime trade connected with the diversification of a regular service, a multilateral international cooperations, and oil stored against emergencies by tankers.

The purpose of this study is to examine the process of development of the Hemingway's hero in Hemingway's major works including In Our Time, which is an influential collection of short stories on subjects and characters of Hemingway's novels. In chapter 1, I described the biographical correlation between the Hero and the Author, Hemingway because the process of development of the Hemingway's hero is closely connected with the story of Hemingway's own life. In Chapter 2, if there is any attempt in Hemingway to enforce an idea it must be the one that everyone has code to which he must adhere. In this regard, the strongest part of the hero's code is his need to "hold tight" particularly with regard to sudden and individual death. In chapter 3 and 4, the protagonist, Nick Adams, appears as the basis for the hero in the early works and Nick has his first experience with death in the story of "Indian Camp." In addition, Nick's suffering at war makes him have "separate peace" with war and it completes the reversal, the turn-away from humanity as he breaks with society. So the influence of war on Nick Adams functions as an important factor in the Hero's process of development. In Chapter 5, an abrupt switch in the philosophy of the heroes comes. That is, the later heroes begin to break from the world of war and evil, and pursue close human relationship. For example, Harry Morgan learns it in To Have And Have Not and Robert Jordan carries it out in For Whom The Bell Tolls. The old man Santiago verifies it in The Old Man And The Sea. In conclusion, the process of development of the Hemingway's hero is done on the part of Nick Adams and completed by Santiago's spiritual renewal.

貿易不均衡 要因을 색출하여 그 原因을 除去시키고 具體的인 是正方案을 現實化시키는 것도 重要하다고 하겠으나, 한 貿易學徒인 筆者는 두 나라 사이에는 經濟的인 要因 外에 存在하는 말로서 具體的으로 꼭 지적할 수 없는 非經濟的인 要因이 도사리고 있어서 兩團의 不均衡是正에 큰 장애가 되는 것이 있다고 思料된다. 그 장애라는 것은 우리나라 사람과 일본사람 사이에는 거리를 두고 대하며 貿易하는 경우가 있는 것을 보고 느꼈다. 즉, 日帝時代의 感情이 아직도 잠재하여 있는 탓인지 몰라도 日商人들 中에는 은연 중에 우리를 얄보고 無視하는 경우가 있는 한편 우리나라 사람들 중에는 日本人을 미워하고 敵對視하는 경우가 있기 때문에 거래 이전에 서로 잠재적인 感情이 對立되어 원활하게 去來成事가 안 되는 경우라 할 수 있다. 어느 日本상인이 한국에 왔다가 김포공항을 떠나 현해탄을 건너가면 마음이 달라진다고 말한다고 한다. 겉으로 90度로 경례하면서 돌아서면 變心하는 소위 二重人格을 가지고 있는 사람이 있다. 이와 같이 日本人인은 經濟動物이고 까다로운 점이 많다는 것을 우리는 재인식하여 그 위에 日本市場을 알아야 할 것이다. 흔히 말하기를 日本은 가깝고도 먼 나라라고 한다. 과연 日本市場은 가깝고도 속속들이 잘 모르는 먼 市場이기도 하다. 따라서 서로의 이익을 위해서 아직도 잠재하여 있는 對日感情을 물에 씻어 버리고 日本市場을 깊숙이 이해하고 재인식해야 하며 對日市場을 침투, 深化하겠다는 우리의 굳은 姿勢確立이 時急하다고 할 것이다.

Today's web supplies people never done or known before connection to online information and services. For electronic commerce, this means standard documents for proving things like products, airline schedules, stock reports, and bank statements, and corresponding forms for placing orders, booking reservations, and making transactions. Business will make on each other's services to produce reformative cyber companies, markets, and trading communities. This abilities to speedily test with new business ideas will flame an blast of entrepreneurial operations rivaling that of the web itself. However, security for electronic commerce is emergently necessary, but it must be made in an orderly and extensible method that supplies for the security services needed today and in the future. In the meantime electronic commerce is one of the issues for the post-2000 round of the second WTO Ministerial Meeting. The United States has started its interest in placing electronic commerce on the post-2000 agenda. The US proposal focuses on keeping electronic commerce transactions free from customs duties. Members of OECD have expressed their support for the proposal, but many developing countries are against starting multilateral negotiations on the subject.

The awareness of classification and differential diagnosis of deep mycoses, particularly systemic infections due to pathogenic fungal infections, is essential for the early detection and appropriate therapy. These systemic pathogenic fungal infections such as histoplasmosis, African histoplasmosis, paracoccidioidomycosis, blastomycosis, are usually endemic in limited areas of continents of America, and Africa. A newly recognized penicilliosis due to Penicillium marneffei, a dimorphic fungus, used to be endemic in Southeast Asia, is now world-wide new threat because the increased numbers of cases have been reported in Australia, France, Italy, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, and the United States. Because of the increased international vistiors to the endemic areas and significant enlargement of the populations existing in immunocompromized state, thus susceptible to systemic mycoses, we, the primary care physicians should be on the alert for the clinicopathologic aspects of the systemic mycoses to make a diagnosis early enough to institute effective therapy.

EC地域은 世界의 貿易과 金融의 經濟協力등 世界經濟의 中心地임에도 불구하고 아직 한국經濟에서는 미국이나 일본에 비해 그 比重이 낮아서 날로 國際化의 趨勢가 進展되고 있는 한국經濟로서는 EC地域은 第1의 經濟協力擴大對象地域이라고 하겠다. 그러나 EC地域에의 進出에는 몇가지 隘路點을 가지고 있는 것이다. 이와 같은 사정에 EC진출위한 기본방향으로서 첫째 EC經濟構造의 動態的 綜合分析에 立脚한 대 EC經濟協力綜合對策의 樹立 둘째 合作投資促進 셋째 유로커런시 市場의 活用擴大 等을 들 수 있다. 이 以外에도 商品의 高級化, 마아케팅의 强化, 機械類의 輸入擴大, 經濟協定締結强化, 定期經濟協力會議 設置, 民間交流擴大 등을 아울러 고려해야 할 것이다. The European Community reghion is the center of the world economy in the international trade, finance, and economic cooperation. The Korean economy still depens much more on America and Japan than the Europea Connunity. As for the Korean economy which is endeavoring to become world-wide, the E.C. area is the most important target for the expansion of economic cooperation. However, we can expect several difficulties in entering the European Community, considering such situation, I would like to suggest several basic devices to develop the conomic interrrelation with the European Community as follows: 1) to study the ways of coping with the problem of establishing a comprehensive economic cooperation plan 2) to promote joint investment. 3) to make wider use of the Euro-currency market. Together with these measures, I think, we should consider. a) the manufacturing of high-quality goods. b) the strengthening of marketing. c) the expansion of the imporation of machinery. d) the conclusion of economic cooperation agreement. e) the opening of a regular economic cooperation council. f) the increase of civilian interchange, etc.
