표현활동중심의 유아음악교육프로그램 구성 및 적용 효과 = The Configuration and Effectiveness of An Early Childhood Music Education Program Based on Expressive Activities

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study is to assess the effects of participation in a early childhood music education program-based expression activities.
METHODS: The experimental group and control group were randomly chosen in 4 kindergartens located in S city and D city respectively. The program aimed to achieve the Integrated Arts Education Program for young children was consisted of 48 sessions which were programed to integrate several subjects into music education. For the statistics analysis total 81 children consisted of 52 boys and 29 girls, 20 children in three kindergartens respectively and 21 children in one kindergarten, participated in the program. (1)Creativity test, (2)emotional intelligence, (3)self-concept, and (4)musical expression and cognitive abilities test were conducted before and after the program.
RESULTS: The results of musical creativity between experimental group and control group were signigicant t=5.416(p<0.01). Musical expression and cognitive abilities in experimental group were higher than one t=6.520(p<0.001). In case of emotional intelligence the results showed a significant difference t=5.728(p<0.001). We also found significant increases in self-perception which could be divided into three categories such as cognitive self-perception, emotional self-perception, and physical self-perception. With respect to self-perception physical self-perception only demonstrated significant difference. On the other hand cognitive self-perception and emotional self-perception didn't report significant difference.
CONCLUSIONS: These findings indicate that by supplementing an existing education program and appreciation education for music, this program in movement, modeling, and drama play could be an alternative plan.
