수학자 이상설이 소개한 근대자연과학: <식물학(植物學)>

본 원고는 2004년 과학사학자 박성래 교수가 독립 운동가이자 한국 근대 수학교육의 아버지로 부르기 시작한 보재 이상설(李相卨, 1870-1917)이 자연과학에 기여한 내용을 다루고 있다. 한국수학사학회지 2009년 11월 호에 자세히 소개된 〈數理〉를 쓴 시기를 전후하여, 같은 시기에 이상설이 붓으로 쓴 것으로 여겨지는 〈植物學>(이상설, 1899)은 총 4면의 초록 필사본이며, 그 대본(臺本)은 〈植物學啓蒙〉 (Edkins, 1886)으로 영국의 Joseph Edkins(艾約瑟, 1823-1905)가 번역하여 1886년에 간행한 〈西學啓蒙〉 16종 가운데 하나이다. 이상설의 〈植物學>은 이 〈植物學啓蒙〉을 읽으면서 그 책의 내용 중 당시의 조 선 학자가 모르고 있던 새로운 내용을 중심으로 메모를 한 것으로 여겨진다. 본 연구에서는 전통산학과 근대서양수학을 연결하는 〈數理〉를 저술했으며. 우리나라의 정규 교과과정에 수학과 과학을 필수과목으로 지정하고, 첫 번째 수학교과서 〈산術新書〉를 발간함으로 당대 최고의 수학자로 평가된 이상설이 쓴 〈植物學〉을 발굴하여 그 내용과 의미를 최초로 분석한다, 이를 통하여 당시 조선의 서양 과학, 특히 식물학에 대한 이해 수준을 분석하고 〈植物學〉의 원전인 〈植物學啓蒙〉 과 <西學啓蒙〉의 저자에 대하여 알아본다. 이는 당시 수학교육자가 자연과학분야에 행한 교육적 기여를 이해 하는데 필수적인 연구이다. This paper deals with contents that Sang-Seol Lee contributed to the natural science in the 19th century Korea. Prof. Sung-Rae Park, the science historian, called Sang-Seol Lee Father of the Modern Mathematics education of Korea. Sang-Seol Lee wrote a manuscript Botany with a brush in late 19th century. Botany was transcribed from Science Primers: Botany (written by J. D. Hooker), which is translated into Chinese by Joseph Edkins in 1886. The existence of Sang-Seol Lee`s book Botany was not known to Korean scientists before. In this paper, we study the contents of Botany and its original text. Also we analyze people`s level of understanding Western sciences, especially botany at that time. In addition, we study authors of 16 Primers for Western Knowledge. We study the contribution of mathematician Sang-Seol Lee to science education in the 19th century Korea.

We used three types of club(driver, iron7, pitching wedge). This analysis method can compare between top class golfer and beginner. And the comparison data can be used to correct the swing pose of trainee. If motion analysis system, which can measure the swing speed and instantaneous acceleration at the point of hitting a ball, is combined with this plantar foot force analysis method, new design development of golf shoes to increase comfort and ball flight distance will be available. 1. Back swing top acting, relatively high force occurred in medial forefoot region of left foot and forefoot region of right foot. 이천석 목사의 부흥운동에 관한 연구

본 연구는 이천석 목사의 부흥운동을 기도원운동, 회개운동, 성령충만을 위한 촉구, 그리고 치유사역을 중심으로 살펴보려 했다. 그는 청년시절, 6·25 동란에 참전 중에 한 다리를 잃고 절망 중에 자살을 하려고 여러 번 시도하였다. 또한 당시 상이용사에 대한 사회적인 냉대도 있었다. 그는 폭력단체를 조직하여 방탕의 삶을 살았다. 그러나 주님을 인격적으로 만나고 새로운 인생을 살아가게 되었고, 더 나아가 신학을 하게 되었다. 젊은 시절에 인생의 죄성을 철저하게 경험했던 그는 주의 일을 하면서 성령님의 도우심을 구하며, 금식하고 철야하며 부르짖고 기도했다. 따라서 그는 기도를 강조하며, 한국교회의 기도운동에 큰 영향을 끼쳤다. 그의 기도의 중요성에 대한 인식의 실천이 한얼산기도원이다. 또한 그가 설교 등에서 강조한 것은 회개와 변화였다. 그는 기도원에서 그리고 집회의 현장에서 회개운동을 펼쳐나갔다. 이러한 영적인 흐름은 한국교회에 영향을 끼치게 되었다. 또한 그는 성령충만을 강조했다. 물론 그는 방언이나 은사를 사모하는 자들에게 안수례를 했지만, 성령충만을 우선시했다. 기도원에서 그리고 집회에서 그는 성령충만과 부흥에 대한 열망을 촉구했다. 아울러 그를 통해서 치유의 역사가 강력하게 나타났다. 수많은 병자들이 치유를 받고 신앙에 더욱 매진했으며, 불신자들도 치유의 역사를 통해서 주님께로 나오는 계기가 되었다. 결국 이천석 목사의 사역활동에서 기도운동, 회개운동, 성령충만의 강조 및 치유의 활동은 곧 부흥운동이었다고 정리할 수 있다. 오늘날 예전보다 기도원이 축소되고, 그만큼 기도의 열기가 저조한 상황에서 다시금 이 땅에 부흥의 열망이 회복되기를 원한다. 이천석 목사를 비롯한 선진들의 영적자산을 공유하고 계승해 나가야 하리라 본다. 또한 성경공부 및 제자훈련과 함께 부흥운동이 균형적으로 전개 되었으면 한다. This paper researches pastor Chun Seok Lee’s revival movement, focusing on the prayer center movement, the repentance movement, the urging for the fulfilling of the Holy Spirit, and healing ministry. In his youth, he lost one leg during taking part in the Korean War. He organized a gang and lived a life of debauchery. However, He met the Lord personally and studied theology. He sought the help of the Holy Spirit while doing the work of the Lord, fasted, prayed all night long. He emphasized prayer and had a great influence on the prayer movement of the Korean church. The practice of his awareness of the importance of prayer is the beginning of Haneolsan Prayer Center. Also, what he emphasized in his sermons was repentance and change. These spiritual activities had influence on the Korean church.He also urged the desire for the fullness of the Holy Spirit and revival. In addition, through him, the miracle of healing appeared powerfully. So numerous sick people were healed and devoted more to their faith, and unbelievers came to the Lord. In the end, it can be concluded that the prayer movement, repentance movement, emphasis on the fullness of the Holy Spirit, and healing activities in pastor Chun Seok Lee’s ministry were revival movement. Today, prayer centers are decreased and the desire for revival is less than in the 1970s in Korea. I want all of us to restore the aspirations for revival in our land again. I think we must share and inherit the spiritual assets of pastor Chun Seok Lee and other advanced believers.

고빌리루빈혈증을 동반한 자가면역성 간염 1례

자가면역성 간염은 대개 만성 경과를 가지며, 혈중 자가면역항체와 혈청 글로불린치의 상승, 그리고 조직학적으로 괴사 염증성 변화를 특징으로 하는 질환으로 아직 정확한 병인이 밝혀져 있지 않은 상태이다. 발병연령은 대개 젊은 영자(15-25세)에서 호발한다. 이 질환은 급성 간염의 임상경과를 보일 수 있으나, 심한 급성 간염이나 전격성 간염으로도 나타날 수 있는데, 이 경우 아주 나쁜 예후를 보인다고 한다. 치료는 자가면역성 간염 임상 경과의 다양성이나 병인, 병리기전의 불확실성에도 불구하고 대개 steroid 치료에 반응하는 것으로 알려져 있으며 대개 80%의 관해율을 나타내며 궁극적으로 간경변으로의 진행을 막을 수 있는 것으로 보인다. 저자들은 58세 남자에서 발생한 급성의 경과를 가지고 심한 황달을 동반한 자가면역성 간염을 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) is a chronic necroinflammatory liver disorder of unknown cause associated with circulating autoantibodies and a high serum globulin level. The age of onset of AIH show a peak between the age of 15 and 25 years. AIH can develop and be manifested as acute hepatitis, but severe form of acute hepatitis or fulminant hepatic failure has a poor prognosis. Although AIH is likely to progress from chronic active hepatitis to cirrhosis, steroid therapy can control the disease activity, prolong survival, improve the quality of life , and defer liver transplantation. In the present report we describe a 58-year-old man who admitted because of progressive jaundice and fatigue. He was diagnosed with AIH from laboratory test result showing positivity for antinuclear antibodies, anti-smooth muscle antibodies, and negativity for hepatitis viral markers and from liver biopsy. Steroid therapy, oral administration of prednisolone, was effective in improving the liver function test. Following liver biopsy 6 months after onset shows markedly improved necroinflammatory activity.

영산강 상류일부의 水質汚染에 관한 調査硏究 : 산동교를 중심해서

Water quality of Young San river was examined for 3 months from April 12, 1989. to Jun 12, 1989. For checking the water quality 4 sampling position were selected. The results we obtained are as follows. 1. B형 만성 활동성 간염 환자에서 Prednisolone 단기이탈 및 Alpha Interferon 병합요법의 효과

To evaluate the safety and efficacy of Pd withdrawal followed by recombinant alpha- Interferon 2b therapy. Nine patients were given a single daily subcutaneous injection of ^α-Interferon at a dose of 3 x 10 exp(6) units/day for first weeks and thrice weekly for next 15 weeks (maintenance) after pd tappered over 6 weeks. To evaluate the efficacy of therapy, we measured serum aminotransferase activities monthly during and after therapy, and also measured serm HBsAg, HBeAg and DNA probe before and after therapy. To evaluate the safety of therapy, all patients checked peripheral blood WBC, Hemoglobin, Platelet, BUN and Creatinine. The results were as follows : 1. In control group, the normalization of s-AST & ALT level, negative seroconversion of DNA probe & HBeAg were observed in 1/12(8%) & 7/10(17%), 0/10(0%) & 0/12(0%) at 6 months later, and maintained response in 1/11(9%) & 1/11(9%), 2/9(22%) & 2/11(18%) until 1 years later. 2. In treatment group, Serum AST and ALT returned to normal in 8/9 & 8/9 cases (89%) after 1 montns Tx. (mean serum AST : 33±8, ALT : 34±12 IU/ml) and maintained to normal response in 5/9(56%) & 6/9 cases(67%)after 6 months Tx. (mean s-AST : 55±43, ALT : 66±84 IU/ml), 3/9(33%) & 4/9 cases(44%) after 1 years Tx. It was statistically significant reponse except s-AST of after 1 years Tx. 3. In treatment group, s- HBeAg returned to normal in 3/9 cases(33%) after 1 months Tx., and maintained to normal response in 1/7 & 1/4 cases among follow up patients in after 6 & 12 months Tx. Serm DNA probe level were observed significantly negative seroconversion in 8/9 cases(89%) after 1 months Tx. (p<0.003), and maintained to negative response in 2/6 & 1/3 cases after 6 & 12 months Tx. 4. Serum AST, ALT, HBeAg and DNA probe were not significantly correlated with therapeutic response in relation to histologic diagnosis. 5. Fever and myalgia were noted in 9(100%) & 6(67%) cases. Headache, mild hair loss, anorexia, nausea, facial flushing & diarrhea were noted in few cases. Peripheral WBC(3cases) & platelet counts(3cases) were decreased transiently. This study shows that Pd withdrawal followed by recombinant alpha Interferon 2b therapy may be safe and effective in decrease the level of s-DNA probe, transaminase activity, loss of HBeAg and less adverse effect of clinical and hematologic examinations in patients with CAH type B. But it was necessary for study with large number of patients, more prolonged follow up duration and more strict control study.

Experimental investigation of macroscopic material nonlinear behavior and microscopic void volume fraction change for porous materials under uniaxial compression

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The purpose of this study was to simultaneously analyze the nonlinear behavior and the void volume fraction change of polyurethane foam (PUF) under a uniaxial compressive load through micro-scale and macro-scale viewpoints. The influence of micro-scale factors on the macroscopic properties of PUF was analyzed, along with the interrelationships between micro-scale and macroscopic properties. The microstructure of PUF was observed by analyzing the density. Various micro-analyses were also conducted, including those for energy absorption, Young's modulus, and recovery behaviors. Internal structure changes such as those in density and degree of compressive strain were analyzed by measuring the void volume fraction of each region in the specimen under a uniaxial compressive load. The elastic, plateau, densification, and fracture regions of the compressive test stress-strain curve were divided, analyzed, and compared with microscopic analysis results. Based on the results of the macro-micro-scale experiment, we analyzed influence and change process of microstructures on the compressive behavior of the PUF specimen in detail. This study shows that internal and overall changes in the compression process of various porous materials can be predicted under a uniaxial compressive load.</P>
