        한번의 간질발작 후 혈청 Neuron-Specific Enolase 농도 변화

        An increase in neuron-specific enolase (NSE) levels in serum and CSF has been shown to be an useful marker of brain damage after stroke, global ischemia, and coma. We report the changes of serum NSE levels after seizure attacks in epileptic patients compared with the levels in normal controls and epileptic patients without seizure attack at least 7 days (epileptic controls). Twenty-four seizures were included in this study. Blood was drawn within 1 hour, at 12 hour, 24 hour, and 48 hour after seizure attack. Serum NSE levels were measured with radioimmunoassay. The mean NSE levels for normal controls and epileptic controls were 6.94 ng/ml and 7.46 ng/ml, respectively. There were significant increase in level of serum NSE measured within 1 hour after seizure attack in epileptics compared with the level in normal controls (15.10ng/ml versus 6.94ng/ml, p<0.05) and epileptic controls (15.10ng/ml versus 7.46ng/ml, p<0.05). Serum NSE measured at 12 hours after seizure also increased compared with normal controls (12.32ng/ml versus 6.94ng/ml, p<0.05) and epileptic controls (12.43ng/ml versus 7.46ng/ml, p<0.05). Between normal controls and epileptic controls, there were no significant difference in serum NSE levels. We conclude that serum NSE level was elevated in epileptic patients who had seizure attack within 12 hours. Serum NSE levels can be useful marker for seizure within 12 hours after onser. The elevated serum NSE level after single seizure attack may suggest that the brain was injured in single seizure.

      • 거골 골절의 수술적 치료

        목 적 : 거골 골절 수술적 치료 후 임상 결과를 분석하여 얻은 결과를 보고하며 향후 적절한 치료 방침을 결정하는데 도움이 되고자 한다. 대상 및 방법 : 1990년 3월부터 2000년 11월까지 본원에서 거골 골절로 치료한 환자 60례중 수술적 치료후 1년 이상 추시가 가능하였던 34례의 수술 전,후 및 추시 방사선 사진과 의무 기록지를 후향적으로 분석하였으며 현 환자의 상태는 외래 진료를 통한 직접 면담이나, 서면 또는 전화를 이용한 질문표에 대한 답변 등을 이용하여 분석하였다. 임상 결과의 판정은, 동통과 파행, 거골하 관절 및 족근 관절에서의 운동 범위등, 네 가지 요소에 따라 판정하는 Hawkins 평가 방법을 이용하였다. 결 과 : 총 34례중 25례(74%)에서 양호 이상의 만족스러운 임상 결과를 보였으나, 분쇄 정도가 심하여 조기에 정확한 해부학적 정복을 얻지 못했거나 주위 조직의 심한 손상 또는 타과적 손상이 동반되어 치료가 지연된 경우에서는 만족스럽지 못하였다. 무혈성 괴사는 Hawkins 징후가 보이지 않았던 8레중 6례에서 발생하였으며, 보존적 치료를 시행하여 만족할만한 임상 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 결론 : 거골 경부 골절 치료후 임상 결과는 가능한 조기의 관혈적 정복을 통한 정확한 해부학적 정복 및 내고정이 무엇보다 중요하다고 생각되며, 더불어 적극적인 재활치료의 여부도 예우에 큰 영향을 줄 수 있다. 수술적 도달법에 의한 차이나 사용된 내고정물에 의한 임상 결과의 차이는 보이지 않았다. 무혈성 괴사 유무와 임상 결과는 반드시 일치하는 것은 아니었다. Purpose : To evaluate the clinical results and develop guidelines for surgical treatment of talus fracture. Materials and Methods : Among the 60 cases that were treated during March 1990 to November 2000, 34 cases were treated operatively and followed up for more than one year( range : 1~4.4 years). They were analyzed retrospectively with questionnaire directly or by telephone interview, radiograms and medical records. Clinical results were evaluated by Hawkins' scoring system. Results : 25 out of 34 cases showed satisfactory results. Unisatisfactory results were seen in cases that we couldn't achieve anatomical reduction due to severe communication, and also in case of delayed treatment due to severe communition, and also in case of delayed treatment due to associated trauma and soft tissue injury. Six out of 8 cases that showed no Hawkins' sign developed avascular necrosis. However, satisfactory results were achieved through conservative treatment. Conclusion : Satisfactory results could be achieved through early anatomical reduction and rigid internal fixation followed by aggressive rehabilitation. There was no differences in clinical results either by the surgical approach or method of internal fixation. Avascular necrosis was not essentially related to the clinical results.

      • 저 유전상수 시클로헥산계 플라즈마 고분자 박막의 특성

        In this work, we report on the investigation of the properties of cyclohexane-based plasma polymers (CHexPP) as functions of the deposition pressure and the plasma power. As the deposition pressure was decreased from 2 torr to 0.2 ton with a fixed plasma power of 60W, k value of the CHexPP thin film increased from 2.42 to 3.24. CHexPP thin films deposited at lower deposition pressure showed very good thermal stability, even the one deposited at 0.2 torn was stable up to 400℃. As the plasma power was increased from 10W to 90W with a fixed deposition pressure of 0.2 ton, k value increased from 2.61 to 3.39. The CHexPP thin film deposited at 90W were stable up to 450℃. All the deposited films were insulating. Under applied fields less than 1 MV/cm, leakage current densities were less than 10^-7 A/㎠.

        기제와 피부투과촉진제가 아포모르핀의 피부투과에 미치는 영향

        In order to evaluate the effects of vehicles and penetration enhancers on skin permeation of apomorphine, the skin permeation rates of apomorphine from vehicles of different composition were determined using Franz diffusion cells fitted with excised rat skins. Solubility of apomorphine in various solvents was investigated to select a vehicle suitable for the percutaneous absorption of apomorphine. The solvents used were propylene glycol (PG), Transcutol^??, Labrasol^??, Labrafac hydro WL^??, Labrafil WL 2609 BS^?? and isopropyl alcohol. Even though permeation rates of apomorphine from each vehicle were low (0.08-0.36㎍/㎠/hr), the combination of PG and Labrafac^?? increased it significantly. The permeation rates of apomophine from PG/Labrafac^?? mixtures increased as the volume fraction of PG in the mixture increased. The maximum permeation rate of 18㎍/㎠/hr was achieved at 30% of PG, which decreased with further increase of PG fraction. A series of fatty acids, alcohols and monoterpenes were employed as penetration enhancers. Incorporation of each enhancer in the PG/Labrafac^?? (30:70) mixture at the level of 10% improved the skin permeation significantly. The highest permeation rate, 117㎍/㎠/hr, was attained with myristic acid.

        수목추출물의 생리활성에 관한 연구(Ⅸ) : 아까시나무 심재의 항산화활성 물질 Antioxidative Compounds from Heartwood of Robinia pseudo-acacia

        항산화활성이 우수한 아까시나무 심재 에탄올 조추출물로부터 항산화물질을 탐색할 목적으로 4종의 화합물을 단리하였으며, MS, NMR 등의 분광학적 방법에 의해 그 화학적 구조를 3-β-stigmast-5-en-3-ol(daucosterol)를 비롯하여 스틸베노이드 화합물인 3,3' ,4' ,5-tetrahydroxystilbene과 후라보노이드인 3,3' ,4' ,5' ,7-pentahydroxyflavone(robinetin) 및 3,3' ,4' ,7-tetrahydroxyflavanone(fustin)으로 각각 동정하였다. 단리된 화합물의 프리라디칼 소거능을 측정하여 항산화활성을 검정한 결과, 페놀성 수산기가 5개인 3,3' ,4' ,5' ,7-pentahydroxyflavone은 천연항산화제 및 합성항산화제보다 높은 항산화활성을 나타내어 단리화합물 중 가장 항산화활성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 페놀성 수산기가 4개인 3,3' ,4' ,5-tetrahydroxystilbene과 3,3' ,4' ,7-tetrahydroxyflavanone도 천연항산화제인 α-tocopherol보다 높은 항산화활성을 나타내었으나 3-β-stigmast-5-en-3-ol은 항산화활성이 없는 것으로 나타나 프리라디칼 소거능에 의한 항산화활성은 화합물의 페놀성 수산기수에 크게 좌우되는 것으로 판단되었다. 이상의 결과 아까시나무의 높은 항산화활성은 3,3' ,4' ,5' ,7-pentahydroxyflavone. 3,3' ,4' ,5-tetrahydroxystilbene 및 3,3' ,4' ,7-tetrahydroxyflavanone에 기인하는 것으로 사료되었다. Antimicrobial and antioxidative activities on heartwood extractives of domestic species were investigated to develop a natural fungicide or preservative. One steroid, stilbene derivatives and two flavonoids were isolated from heartwood of Robinia pseudo-acacia which has been selected due to its high antioxidative activity among the tested species. The structures were determinded as : 3-β-stigmast-5-en-3-ol(daucosterol), 3,3',4,5-tetrahydroxystilbene, 3,3',4',5',7-pentahydroxyflavone(robinetin) and 3,3',4',7-tetrahydroxyflavanone(fustin) respectively on the basis of spectroscopic data and chemical correlations. According to the results of free radical scavenging activity, 3,3',4',5',7-pentahydroxyflavone was evaluated as the highest antioxidative compound among the four compounds and showed higher radical scavenging activity than those of α-tocopherol and butylated hydroxytoluene(BHT), one of the strongest synthetic antioxidants. 3,3',4',5-Tetrahydroxystilbene and 3,3',4',7-tetrahydroxyflavanone showed higher antioxidative activities than that of α-tocopherol. However, 3-β-stigmast-5-en-3-ol did not show free radical scavenging activity. In this regard, it could inferred that high antioxidative activity of extractives of R. pseudo-acacia was derived from 3,3',4',5',7-pentahydroxyflavone, 3,3',4',5-tetrahydroxystilbene and 3,3',4',7-tetrahydroxyflavanone.

      • 유럽의 사례로 본 MVNO 제도의 국내 도입 방안

        The fierce competition between the carriers has made domestic mobile communication industry run up rapidly. Instead of such dazzling outward growth, however, the activation effect of such competition is not enough for our expectation in the view point of the mobile communication users. The several related surveys say that the dissatisfaction of the users has been increasing. This appearance has the root in the peculiar market structure where the carrier can exercise its exclusive possession after the secure of its subscribers. In the study, we look into the introduction case of the European MVNO system, and examine the introduction validity of MVNO system to Korea with the considering of the recent mutation trend in domestic mobile communication market.

        복숭아 발효주 개발에 관한 연구

        복숭아 발효주를 개발하기 위하여 "유명" 과실에 효소 및 열처리하여 착즙수율을 측정하고 청주용 효모와 포도주용 야생 효모로 발효시킨 복숭아술의 성분과 기호성을 조사하였다. Pectinase와 cellulase를 혼합 처리한 경우 착즙수율이 89.2%로 가장 높았고 pectinase, hemicellulase와 cellulase등을 단독으로 처리했을 때도 80%이상의 착즙수율을 보였다. 복숭아술의 총산은 0.30%에서 0.36%이었다. 에틸알코올올 함량은 포도주용 야생 효모인 Saccharomyces cerevisiae 49-2가 14.5%로 가장 높았으나, 기호성은 고온성 효모인 Saccharomyces cerevisiae D-71로 발효시킨 술이 가장 좋았다. Juice yield of peach "Yoo Myung" by pretreatment of various enzymes and heat was determined, and physicochemical properties of peach wine fermented by some Saccharomyces cerevisiae were also investigated. 89.2% of juice yield was showed in mixture treatment of pectinase and cellulase at 35℃ for 8 hrs, 82% of yield was also showed in single treatment of pectinase and cellulase. Ethyl alcohol content of peach wine fermented by wild type Saccharomyces cerevisiae 49-2 was 14.5%. However, wine from thermophilic Saccharomyces cerevisiae D-71 was excellent in taste and flavor.

      • 사과'후지' 生理障害果에 있어서 果汁內 이온 濃度와 과실조직의 無機含量과의 관계

        Relationship between ion concentrations in fruit Juice and total contents of nitrogen, potassium and calcium in the fruit tissue was investigated in the physiological disordered apples in order to know whether juice ion measurement can be used to estimate the cause of physiological disordered Fuji apples (Malus domestics Borkh.). Juice ion concentrations were analyzed of pH/ion meter. Significant relationship between nitrate ion concentration of juice and total nitrogen was existed, while correlation coefficient was lower than that of normal fruits. There was no relationship between potassium and calcium. Total contents of N, K and Ca were lower in physiological disordered fruits than in normal fruits. Consequently, total contents of N, K and Ca in the fruit tissue can not be estimated by measuring ion concentrations in fruit juice of physiological disordered apples.

        흰쥐 삼차신경 척수감각핵의 미측소핵 세포의 전압의존성 소디움통로와 포타슘통로에 대한 전기생리학적 연구

        The caudal subnucleus of the spinal trigeminal nucleus (medullary dorsal horn ; MDH) receives direct inputs from unmyelinated and thinly myelinated, small diameter primary afferent fibers. Thus, the MDH is implicated in the processing of nociceptive information in the orofacial region. In this study, the types and characteristics of voltage-dependent ion currents were investigated in acutely isolated MDH neurons of postnatal rats by means of the whole cell patch clamp techniques. Coronal slice (400㎛) of the trigeminal caudal subnucleus region was sequentially treated with pronase 0.2㎎/㎖. then single neurons were mechanically dissociated. Voltage-dependent sodium currents showed that the half-maximum activation potential was -41.8±1.8mV and half-maximum inactivation potential was -62.4±3.0mV. And the currents were blocked totally by application of 100nM tetrodotoxin. In a Ca^2+ free solution, low-threshold transient (I_A) and high-threshold sustained (I_K) currents were recorded. The half-maximum activation and inactivation potential of I_K were 2.5±1.9mV and -37.1±2.3mV, respectively. I_A was activated and inactivated more rapidly than I_K. The half-maximum activation and inactivation potential were -21.6±6.3mV and -84.5±5.0mV, respectively. When a 4-aminopyridine of 5mM was applied, I_A was almost totally blocked. These results reveal that MDH neurons express a variety of voltage-dependent ionic currents with distinct physiological and pharmacological properties, and they play an essential role in the transmission and modulation of sensation, especially pain, from trigeminal region.
