        Background : The authors of this study analyzed the effect of the green manures cultivated in the soil of the preparation field in order to select the green manures suitable for ginseng cultivation and the effect of the green manures on the variation of ginseng growth development, the content of crude saponin and yield ability with the aim to use the results as the primary data for improving the quality of ginseng. Methods and Results: To analyze the effect of the application of green manures on the growth of ginseng, the authors cultivated 4 varieties of green manures and installed blue polyethylene sheet and one-layered black polyethylene net+three-layered blue polyethylene net(OBPNTB) and sun-shading material on the managed soil by re-applying green manures and then cultivated ginseng. The results suggested that the growth of ginseng was excellent in the barley+hairy, barely and rye cultivation plot in the plot treated with OBPNTB rather than the cultivation plot teated with Blue polyethylene sheet(BPS) and two-layered blue & two-layered black polyethylene net(TBTBPN), and the growth of leaf length and stalk diameter was excellent in barely + hairy vetch material. For the underground root weight, the growth was the most excellent(30.19g) in the barley+ hairy vetch cultivation plot treated with OBPNTB. For the underground red discoloration and root rot, the incidence rate was the lowest in the plot treated with BPS in which the water leak in a levee was small than in the test plot treated with sun-shading net. For the ginsenoside content in the cultivation plot treated with TBTBPN, the ginsenoid content was the highest in the rey cultivation plot, and it was the highest in the cultivation plot treated with OBPNTB. Conclusion : The results of study suggested rye among green manures is the most suitable for the growth of ginseng; underground growth was the most prominent in the plot treated with sun-shading net material (black 1 + blue 3) and the underground ginsenoside content was the most prominent in the rye cultivation plot and the plot treated with the sun-shading sheet.

      • 정합용 변압기를 고려한 ZVS-FB형 고주파 공진 인버터에 관한 연구

        In this paper, a theoretical analysis of zero-voltage-switching inverter with each capacitor in parallel with each switching device is presented along with experimental results. The proposed inverter offers both zero turn-on and zero turn-off switching losses, yielding high efficiency at high frequencies. In addition, the soft switching method reduces switching noise associated with the high frequency ringing and high voltage stress at the switching instants. Also, the equivalent circuit of a matching transformer converted primary to secondary side and normalized parameter for generally description are introduced to the estimation of the proposed circuit. A 1KW class-D inverter was built and tested. The theoretical results are in good agreement with the experimental ones. ZVS can be achieved above the resonant frequency and in a limited range of the load resistance. The proposed circuit is considered to be useful for induction heating applications.

        고려대학교 흉부외과에서는 심실보조장치 이식에서 흉골 재절개(re-sternotomy)에 따른 합병증과 사망률을 감소시키기 위하여 우측 개흉을 이용한 독자적인 수술법을 개발하였다 (KU technique). 다양한 동물모델과 사체실험 및 임상적용을 통해 안정성과 유용성을 확인하였으며, 향후 좌심 및 양심보조장치 이식에서 표준기법의 하나로 제안하고자 한다. We have developed a new surgical technique (KU technique) of right thoracotomy for cannulation of ventricular assist devices, which can lessen potential morbidity and morta1ity from re-sternotomy. The technique has been proved to be safe and efficient in various animal models, preclinical cadaver fitting test, and human application. We would like suggest KU technique as a part of standard in implantation of left ventricular or hi-ventricular assist devices.

        백서 척수에서 Capsaicin과 Eugenol이 iCGRP (immunoreactive calcitonin gene-related peptide) 분비 조절에 미치는 영향

        Neuropeptide such as calcitonin gene-related peptide and substance P may mediate neurogenic inflammation, but little is known about the regulation of neuropeptide release from rat spinal cord. Eugenol has been reported to reduce odontogenic pain and is known to have a structure similar to capsaicin, a potent stimulant of certain nociceptors. This study was done to examine the effect of capsaicin and eugenol on immunoreactive calcitonin gene-related peptide (iCGRP) release from rat spinal cord and whether eugenol regulates capsaicin-sensitive release of iCGRP or it evokes capsaicin-sensitive release of iCGRP. The dorsal half of rat lumbar spinal cord was chopped into 200㎛ slices. They were superfused (500㎕/min) in vitro with an oxygenated Kreb's buffer. The EC50 of capsaicin on iCGRP release was measured. Eugenol (600㎛ and 1.2mM) and vehicle (0.02% 2-hydroxyl-β-cyclodextrin) were administered prior to stimulation of rat lumbar spinal cord with capsaicin. The amount of iCGRP release from rat lumbar spinal cord was measured by radioimmunoassay. The results were as follows : 1.iCGRP release from rat lumbar spinal cord was dependent on concentration of capsaicin. The EC50 of capsaicin on iCGRP release was 3㎛. 2.In the vehicle treated group, capsaicin (3㎛) evoked a 14-fold increase over basal iCGRP level. 3. Administration of 600㎛ and 1.2mM eugenol evoked a 2.2-fold increase and a 2.3-fold increase over basal iCGRP level respectively. 4.Administration of 600㎛ and 1.2mM eugenol increased capsaicin evoked release of iCGRP by more than 50%. These results indicate that eugenol evoke CGRP release from central nervous system and potentiate the pain-inducing action of capsaicin on it Key words : Eugenol, Capsaicin, Rat lumbar spinal cord, Superfusion, Radioimmunoassay

      • 항결핵 6개월 단기요법의 성과 고찰

        To evaluate the effect of 6-month short term antituberculosis chemotherapy with INH, Rifampin, Ethambutol, and Pyrazinamide(2HREZ/4HRE) in the patients with pulmonary and/or extrapulmonary tuberculosis, the authors prescribed 2HREZ/4HRE regimen in 79 tuberculosis patients for 6 months with measuring the sputum staining for AFB, chest X-ray findings, recurrence rates and possible side reactions of the treatment. The result were as follow; 1. Pulmonary Tuberculosis 1) Among the 56 pulmonary tuberculosis patients who had taken 2HREZ/4HRE regimen. 32 patients showed initial positivity in sputum AFB smear stain(57.2%). Negative conversion occurred usually within 2 months after initiation of chemotherapy and the mean period of negative conversion was 1.4 months. 2) Among the 56 pulmonary tuberculosis patients, chest X-ray finding changed in 41 patients (37.21%). From these 41 patients 39 patients showed continuous improvements in chest X-ray finding, though 3 patients showed initial aggravation in spite of continuous medication. The remainder 2 cases aggravated due to the failure of treatment. 3) Treatment failure occurred in 2 patients (3.57%) during the chemotherapy among 56 patients of pulmonary tuberculosis and they were infected with secondary drug-resistant strains of M. tuberculosis. 2. Extrapulmonary tuberculosis. Among 8 patients with tuberculous pleurisy and 15 patients with superficial tuberculous lymphadenitis, there were no evidence of treatment failure after completion of antituberculosis chemotherapy for 6 months with 2HREZ/4HRE regimen. 3. Follow-up study was performed from 6 months to 50 months after completion of antituberculosis chemotherapy and the relapse was not noted in both pulmonary and extrapulmonary tuberculosis patients group during this period. 4. Serum AST/ALT elevated in 9 patients(11.4%) during the treatment and this occurred usually within 3 months after the initiation of antituberculosis chemotherapy. However treatment interruption occurred in 2 patients (2.5%) due to the development of hepatitisone due to drug-induced hapatitis and the other due to type B viral hepatitis. In conclusion, we could find this 2HREZ/4HRE 6-months short-term antituberculosis regimen is effective and could be recommanded as a promising regimen for the treatment of tuberculosis.

      • 공압을 이용한 수중운동체의 수압시뮬레이터 설계 연구

        HILS(Hardware In Loop Simulation) is an effective means of testing unmanned underwater vehicle under extreme operational conditions and a variety of operational environments. In order to verify the vehicle performance under time-varying pressure conditions, a reliable pressure simulator is vital to an integrated system for the HILS. This paper presents the results of design research for the pressure simulator using pneumatic pressure (nitrogen), a high speed solenoid valve and a PWM control method. The test and evaluation results of the pressure simulator show that the simulator can generate an appropriate level of desired pressure with an average error below 1m depth for time-varying pressure change conditions corresponding to vehicle dynamics. In addition, the levels of overshoot and vibration have been shown to be under the requirements of design specifications.

      • 퍼지 제어기를 이용한 브러시리스 직류전동기의 속도 제어에 관한 연구

        This paper deals with the speed control of a BLDCM with rectangular back electromotive force using fuzzy logic controller. The fuzzy PI controllers make the many degrees of freedom in proportion to the number of the rule for input and its ability of adjustment for control input is excellent. Thus, the proper adjustment of the fuzzy rules can provide the good performance for the system. Above all, the advantage of the fuzzy controller has the characteristic of robustness for parameter variation, load change, noises. As a current controller, a hysterisis current controller is implemented, and in order to reduce torque ripple in low speed range, current controller detects the uncommutating mode current for every 60 electrical degree. The fuzzy speed controller is implemented by MCS80C196KC, a 16 bit one-chip microprocessor. The experimental results show that the performance of the fuzzy speed controller is superior to that of the conventional PI controller in terms of robustness for the change of load torque.
