        합금의 종류와 지대주 성분이 바형 유지 장치의 변연 적합도에 미치는 영향

        Purpose: The object of this study was to determine if the low-priced alloy and metal UCLA abutment could be available for manufacturing bar-retained framework of implant prosthesis. Materials and methods: Bar structure was classified into 4 groups, The specimen of group 1 and 2 were based on casting high noble metal alloys and noble metal alloys with gold UCLA abutment. The specimen of group 3 and 4 were based on casting noble metal alloys and base metal alloys with metal UCLA abutment. Cast bar structure was installed in an acrylic resin model and only the screw on the hexed abutment side was tightened to 20 Ncm. On the opposite side, vertical discrepancy was measured with stereo microscope from front, back, and lateral side of the implant-abutment interface. One-way ANOVA was performed to analyze the marginal fit discrepancy. Results: One-way ANOVA test showed significant differences among all groups (P<.05) except for Group 1 and 3. Among them, difference between Group 1 and 2 was noticeable. Measured vertical discrepancies were all below 70 ㎛ except to Group 2. Conclusion: Base metal alloy and metal UCLA abutment could be used as an alternative to high-priced gold alloy for implant bar-retained framework. 연구 목적: 합금의 종류와 지대주의 재질의 차이가 변연적합도에 미치는 영향을 비교 분석하고자 한다. 연구 재료 및 방법: 2개의 임플란트 유사체를 평행하게 위치시킨 후 아크릴릭 레진으로 포매하여 연구모형을 제작하였다. 바 구조물은 gold UCLA 지대주에 고귀금속 합금(high noble metal alloy)과 귀금속 합금(noble metal alloy)을, 그리고 metal UCLA 지대주에 고귀금속 합금과 비귀금속 합금(base metal alloy)을 이용하여 총 4 종류의 바 구조물을 7개씩 시편을 제작하였다. 주조된 바 구조물을 레진 모형에 장착하고 한쪽 지대나사를 조인 후, 반대쪽 임플란트-지대주 간극의 수직 거리를 앞, 뒤, 측면 3부위에서 입체 광학 현미경으로 관찰하여 기록하였다. 결과: 각 군들의 변연오차 평균값은 gold UCLA 지대주에 고귀금속 합금과 귀금속 합금을 사용했을 때 각각 13.69 ± 6.74 ㎛와 267.26 ± 65.85 ㎛이었으며, metal UCLA 지대주에 고귀금속 합금과 비귀금속 합금을 사용했을 때 26.19 ± 8.14 ㎛와 61.90 ± 33.65 ㎛이었다. One-way ANOVA를 이용하여 변연 적합도의 차이를 분석했을 때 고귀금속 함금을 사용한 군들을 제외하고, 모든 군간에 유의한 차이가 존재하였다(P<.05). Gold UCLA 지대주-귀금속 합금 조합을 제외하고 모두 70 ㎛ 이하의 수직오차를 보였다. 결론: 임플란트 바 유지 장치의 제작에 있어서 고귀금속 합금 대신 비귀금속 합금과 metal UCLA 지대주를 사용하는 것은 임상적 타당성이 있다고 판단된다.

        Immunogenicity and safety of a 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine and an MF59-adjuvanted influenza vaccine after concomitant vaccination in ⩾60-year-old adults

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P><B>Background</B></P> <P>Concomitant administration of influenza and pneumococcal vaccines could be an efficient strategy to increase vaccine uptake among older adults. Nevertheless, immune interference and safety issues have been a concern when more than one vaccines are administered at the same time.</P> <P><B>Methods</B></P> <P>Subjects aged ⩾60years were randomized in a 1:1:1 ratio to receive MF59-adjuvanted trivalent inactivated influenza vaccine (MF59-aTIV)+13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV13) (Group 1), PCV13 alone (Group 2), or MF59-aTIV alone (Group 3). Hemagglutination inhibition (HI) and opsonophagocytic activity (OPA) assays were used to compare immunogenicity after single or concomitant vaccination.</P> <P><B>Results</B></P> <P>A total of 1149 subjects (Group 1, N=373; Group 2, N=394; Group 3, N=382) were available for the assessment of immunogenicity and safety. All groups met immunogenicity criteria for the influenza vaccine in older adults with similar seroprotection rates, seroconversion rates, and geometric mean titer (GMT) fold-increases, irrespective of concomitant vaccination. For each pneumococcal serotype, OPA titers increased markedly after the PCV13 vaccination, irrespective of the concomitant influenza vaccination. After concomitant administration, the non-inferiority criteria of GMT ratios were met for all three influenza subtypes and 13 pneumococcal serotypes. No vaccine-related serious adverse events occurred.</P> <P><B>Conclusions</B></P> <P>Concomitant MF59-aTIV and PCV13 administration showed no interference with antibody response and showed good safety profiles.</P> <P>(Clinical Trial Number – NCT02215863).</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> No immune interference was observed when PCV13 and MF59-aTIV were given together. </LI> <LI> The immunogenicity criteria of influenza vaccine was met irrespective of concomitant vaccination. </LI> <LI> Concomitant vaccination showed good safety profiles. </LI> </UL> </P>

        고지방 식이에 의한 흰쥐의 지방간증에서 오미재 추출물의 간보호 효과

        The purpose of the present study is to determine whether Schisandra chinensis (SC) has a protective effect on high fat diet (HFD)-induced fatty liver including hepatic lipid accumulation in rats. The HFD-induced obese rats were weighed after SC extracts were administered through the gastrointestinal tract at a concentration of 250 mg/kg b.w/day for 5 weeks. After 5 weeks, all of the rats on a high fat-diet were 36.5% heavier compared with normal controls. In contrast, rats on a high-fat diet supplemented with SC were 23.5% lighter than rats fed only a high-fat diet. Although there was no significant difference in food intake among the groups during the experimental diet period, the body weight gain of the SC group was significantly lower than the weights of the HFD groups. SC treatment slightly decreased the liver weight. Reduction of hepatic TBARS contents by SC was observed in rats fed a diet containing SC, and antioxidant activity was markedly increased in HFD+SC group compared to those of HFD group in liver. Moreover, total-lipid and triglyceride contents in the liver of groups fed a diet containing SC were significantly lower compared to those of the HFD group. High fat feeding elevated liver cholesterol concentration, but the addition of SC to the HFD rats resulted in the significant decrease in liver cholesterol. In histological observation of liver tissues, the hepatocytes of HFD rats showed a typical fatty liver morphology showing numerous lipid droplets in cytoplasm, whereas administration of SC reduced the size and numbers of lipid droplets. These results clearly demonstrated the attenuation of SC on nonalcoholic fatty liver induced by obese rats fed HFD.

        헤지펀드의 규제환경 변화와 불공정거래의 규제 강화 방안

        최근 국내에서 헤지펀드 활성화를 위하여 법정책의 변화를 시도하고 있는 가운데, 외국에서는 헤지펀드에 의한 불공정거래행위의 발생 사례가 끊이지 않고 있다. 이는 헤지펀드가 가지는 절대수익률의 추구, 높은 차입비율과 공매도를 비롯한 자유로운 운용전략, 그리고 운용실적연동형의 보수체계와 같은 특성으로 말미암아 다른 시장참여자보다 불공정거래행위에 대한 유인이 크기 때문이다. 전세계적인 금융위기를 겪으면서 세계 각국은 그동안 규제의 사각지대에 놓여있던 헤지펀드를 규제범위에 포섭시키려는 노력을 기울이고 있다. 이러한 노력은 헤지펀드에 대한 등록 및 보고의무의 부과, 그리고 헤지펀드의 운용에 필수불가결한 존재인 프라임 브로커에 대한 규제 강화책을 통하여 실현되고 있다. 즉, 금융위기를 통하여 그 한계를 드러낸 헤지펀드의 거래상대방에 대한 간접적인 규제방식 중심에서 헤지펀드와 그 매니저에 대한 직접규제를 강화하는 방안을 추가로 도입하고 있는 것이다. 이 글에서는 최근의 헤지펀드에 대한 규제환경의 변화를 살펴보고 우리 자본시장에 도입될 헤지펀드에 의한 불공정거래행위를 방지하기 위한 개선책으로 다음과 같은 것들을 제안하고자 한다. 우선 내부자거래 규제를 위한 정비방안으로 프라임 브로커가 연관된 불공정거래행위의 사례와 헤지펀드에 대한 프라임 브로커의 역할을 감안해 본다면 내부자거래 규제의 대상자에 2차 정보수령자도 포함시키는 등의 내부자범위의 확대시킬 필요가 있다. 그리고 증권의 가격결정에 영향을 미치는 시장정보도 내부정보의 범위에 포섭시키는 것은 물론, 신종 파생 상품의 출현에 대비하기 위하여 거래가 금지되는 증권의 범위도 확대되어야 할 것이다. 더불어 프라임 브로커가 되는 금융투자회사에 대한 불공정거래 감시가 강화되어야 한다. 시세조종과 관련해서는 감독당국의 감시기능을 강화해야 하며, 이를 위하여 금융전문가의 확보 및 공적규제의 사각지대를 보완할 수 있는 자율규제 수단의 정비가 있어야 할 것이다. 끝으로 공매도 규제로 인한 헤지펀드 산업의 침체를 우려하는 견해도 있지만, 높은 차입비율과 투기에 가까울 정도의 공격적 투자행태를 감안해 볼 때 헤지펀드는 다른 시장참여자보다 엄격한 규제를 가할 필요가 있다. Recently the Financial Services Commission has been trying to change the current law and policy to promote the Hedge fund activities in the Korean capital market. However, cases of hedge fund's unfair transactions of financial products have unceasingly taken place in the foreign capital markets. It's because hedge funds can make even stronger temptation towards unfair trade due to its characteristics such as a pursuit of absolute returns, higher leverage rate, free operating strategies and compensation system linked to performance, etc. Since the 2008 international financial crisis, most of countries have tried to put the hedge fund under the newly made regulation, in which hedge funds have to be registrated and filed with the regulatory authorities and the prime broker has to be supervised more strictly than before. But it is somewhat difficult to prevent hedge funds from the various kinds of unfair trading tactics only with the indirect regulatory measures. In other words, some direct measures should be taken into considerations for enhancing the regulation of the hedge funds' unfair transactions. In this paper, some legislative and interpretative proposals are made to solve the above problems as follows. First, the secondary tippee should be treated as one of the insider traders to be regulated and the prime-broker who is playing an essential role in operating the hedge funds should also be treated or interpreted as a secondary tippee under the Capital Market Act. Second, market information, which is affecting the stock prices, newly made by hedge funds managers, should be included in the scope of inside information and be regulated. Moreover, the scope of the securities has to be enlarged in order for responding to the emergence of new derivatives and a close watch on the unfair transactions by the brokers should be strongly kept as well. Third, surveillance by the financial regulatory authorities is to be enhanced and the self-regulatory measures have to be strictly executed to prevent the stock manipulation. Finally, there are some concerns that the stronger restrictions on short selling would bring about a recession of hedge fund industry. Nevertheless more stringent regulation on the hedge funds operations should be required than on other market participants because of the aggressive investment behaviors with the higher leverage and speculation. In conclusion, investors or financial consumers, who are mostly ignorant of the veiled governing practices of unfair transactions by hedge funds, should be protected by both positive legislation and judicial policy.

        부산·울산·경남지역 직업병 감시체계

        Objective: Occupational medicine specialists in the Busan, Ulsan and Kyung-Nam areas established an area-based occupational disease surveillance system and used this system to collected case information for the purpose of preventing occupational diseases Methods: l l hospital participated in this system. The authors selected five main diseases, which were hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS), work-related musculoskeletal disorder (WRMSD), occupational asthma, occupational skin disease and occupational and occupational lung cancer and established their case definitions. All cases were reported on the web, and real time analysis was conducted. Results: Between April 2001 and April 2003, 192 cases of HAVS, 118 cases of WRMSD, 33 cases of occupational asthma, 17 cases of occupational skin disease and 17 cases of occupational lung cancer (for a total of 377 cases of these five main diseases) were reported. most of the HAVS cases came from shipbuilding, and 172 of them (92.7%) were associated with grinding. Of the four main types of WRMSD, carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) was the most prevalent with 46 cases and shipbuilding was also the main industry involved (83.9%). The ergonomic risk factors involved mainly associated with the hand. In 19 (57.6%) and 4 (12.1%) cases of occupational asthma, the agents involved. The causative agents of occupational lung cancer included Cr, welding fume, PAH, Ni, etc. 10(58.8%) of the cases were diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma and 5(29.4%) as adenoma. Conclusion: This result showed that an area-based occupational disease surveillance system might provide an effective method of evaluating the prevalence of such diseases, however the Busan, Ulsan and Kyung-Nam provinces are too large to be treated as individual areas. Therefore, the authors suggest that each province should establish its own surveillance system.

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Nanostructured pyropolymers contain significant amounts of redox-active heteroatoms, have high specific surface areas, and a defective carbon microstructure, indicating good potential for pseudocapacitive charge storage. In this study, nitrogen-enriched pyropolymer nanoparticles (N-PNs-50) are fabricated from polyaniline nanotubes through rapid pyrolysis at 50 °C min<SUP>−1</SUP>. N-PNs-50 exhibit a nitrogen content of 9.8 wt%, a high specific surface area of 875.8 m<SUP>2</SUP> g<SUP>−1</SUP>, and an amorphous carbon structure with an I<SUB> <I>D</I> </SUB>/I<SUB> <I>G</I> </SUB> intensity ratio of 0.95. These unique characteristics lead to good electrochemical performances, in which reversible capacities of 660 and 255 mAh g<SUP>−1</SUP> are achieved for Li-ion and Na-ion storage, respectively, with favorable voltage characteristics (<1.5 V for Li-ions and <1.2 V for Na-ions).       • 동해 남부해역 암반조간대 저서동물의 분포

        The fauna and the vertical distribution pattern of the intertidal benthic animals were investigated on the 4 rocky bottoms by quadrat sampling from January to October in 1996. A total of 71 species of 42 families, 18 orders, 10 classes in 6 phyla were identified in these areas. The most number of species (53 spp.) was occurred in October. The dominant species in the number of individual were Littorina brevicula, Granulilittorina exigua, Heminerita japonica, and in the biomass were Littorina brevicula, Septifer uirgatus and Reishia clavigera. Following 5 species have their own range of vertical distribution. These species were Granulilittorina exigua, Littorina brevicula, Chthamalus challengeri, Sacculosiphonaria japonica, Notoacmea schrenckii, from the upper to lower tidal level. And their height of vertical distribution was changed a little seasonally.
