      • 3차원 지시 동작 인식을 위한 휴먼인터페이스

        본 논문에서는, 사용자가 자신이 하는 공간지시를 시각에 기초하여 인식하여 3차원 컴퓨터 그래픽스 세계에 있는 대상체를 조작하는 휴먼인터페이스 시스템을 소개한다. 시스템은 공간기준의 공간기준계와 사용자의 몸에 고정된 사용자중심계에 대하여 손의 동작을 인식한다. 후자의 경우에는, 자신의 몸을 위치를 바꾸더라도 사용자가 앞으로 가리키면 대상체를 앞으로 움직일 수 있도록 한다. 더욱이, 액티브 카메라 시스템으로 사용자를 추적하기 때문에 사용자가 카메라의 화각을 의식하지 않아도 된다. 그리고, 아무런 카메라의 보정을 하지 않아도 된다. 이러한 특징을 갖춘 시스템을 다중 영상의 어파인 불변량 이론에 기초 하여 구현을 하였다. 이를 통해 영상알고리즘과 시스템을 실험해 보았다. 실제 사용 실험을 통하여, 본 시스템의 효용성을 밝혔다. In this paper, a vision-based human interface system which enables a user to move a target object in a 3-dimensional computer graphics world by moving his hand is presented. The system can interpret hand motions both in a frame fixed to the world and in a frame attached to the user. If the latter is chosen, the user can move the object forward by moving his hand forward even if he has changed his body position. In addition, the user does not have to keep in mind that his hand is in the camera field of view. The active camera system tracks the user to keep him in its field of view. Moreover, the system does not need any camera calibration. The key for the realization of the system with such features is vision algorithms based on the multiple view affine invariance theory. An experimental system as well as the vision algorithms are demonstrated. Human operation experiments show the usefulness of the system.

        The purpose of this study is to clarify the historic transition of the prospects on Haeundae dalmaji hill. Dalmaji hill is well known for a character of configuration on the ground with the scene of the sea. We will infer that how did it change the prospects of Dalmaji hill's sea through the analyzing of the preset situation and location of building on the hill. (1) We investigated the stories of the building, the history, the business condition. (2) We collect the twenty four view points which is able to have seascape on the hill, being easily approaching to the road, and condition of changing the building. (3) We clarified the transition of seascape prospect and considered the characteristics of the six types from which were divided the condition of seascape prospect.

        The use of cyclosporine(CsA), a potent immunosuppressive agent, is associated with numerous side effects. Neurotoxicity was earlier less well known, but with growing experience central nervous system side effects are now reported up to 40% of patients. Among various CsA-induced neurotoxicities, tremor is most common and posterior leukoencephalopathy is well characterized. An encephalopathy presenting with pyramidal weakness, however, seems to be rare and poorly documented. We report here a case of encephalopathy presenting with multiple generalized seizures followed by fluctuating quadriparesis developed a few days after starting CsA and resolved spontaneously after withdrawal of the drug . A 48-year-old woman with aplastic anemia was placed upon immmunosuppressive treatment consisting of antithymocyte globulin(ATG), CsA, and methylprednisolone. Two days after starting the therapy, she developed a generalized seizure. The next day she developed 2 more episodes of seizure and the therapy was stopped. Computed tomogram of the brain was normal. Six days after starting therapy, she developed mild motor weakness and paresthesia of both lower extremities, which progressed to a definite quariparesis confining her to a bed in 3 days. Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) of the brain revealed asymmetric, bilateral high-signal abnormalites in the subcortical white matter of fronto-temporal areas. After reaching to a maximum with some fluactuation(14 days after starting the therapy) the motor weakness started to be resolved. She was discharged with a almost complete resolution of the weakness 45 days after starting the therapy. Five months later she did well and brain MRI was negative.

        In this paper, we evaluated two main QoS supporting routing protocol on wireless ad hoc network. At presence, wireless mobile communication focuses on how to efficiently support mobility of users more than QoS guarantee. However, in order to satisfy requirement of various applications which have been or will be served, QoS support service between source and destination becoming a very important issue. Of all routing protocols, DSR and AODV are very important routing protocol in MANET. So we simulated DSR and AODV QoS Routing Protocol Through simulation evaluation tool NS(Network Simulation) based on various environments.

        We consider a magneto-optical transition theory based on the many-body projection technique. And we use two kinds of projectors ; projection-isolation operators and projection operators. The second method turns out to be more convenient than the first method.

      • 성인 급성 림프구성 백혈병에 대한 복합 화학 요법

        Although acute lymphoblastic leukemia(ALL) is one of the most frequently encountered cancer in children, only about 20% of patients who were diagnosed leukemia are ALL in adults. During past 30 years, the result of treatment of ALL in children have been markedly improved, but in adults, the result of treatment of ALL is not so good as that in children. In recent, morbidity of ALL has been increased in KOREA, but studies of long-term survival are rare. So a retrospective clinical analysis was made in patients who were diagnosed for adult acute lymphoblastic leukemia between March 1988 and February 1997, in Chungnam National University Hospital. The result of treatment, prognostic factors of survival and duration of complete remission were analyzed. In 44 patients who were newly diagnosed as ALL in Chungnam National University Hospital, total 31 patients who have received chemotherapy more than two weeks were analyzed. All patients were treated by vincristine, daunorubicine, and prednisolone in phase I induction chemotherapy. At the 28th day of phase I induction chemotherapy, bone marrow aspiration biopsy was performed and achievement of complete remission was estimated. Within one or two weeks after completion of phase I chemotherapy, phase II induction chemotherapy was done. In phase II induction chemotherapy, cyclophosphamide, cytosine arabinoside and 6-mercaptopurine were administerd. During phase II induction chemotherapy, CNS prophylaxis with intrathecal methotrexate administration and intracranial irradiation. After completion of phase I and phase II of induction chemotherapy, 4 cycles of consolidation chemotherapy were made in utilization of VP-16 and cytosine arabinoside in standard risk group, and in utilization of methotrexate with leucovorin rescue and L-asparaginase in the high risk group. And then maintenance chemotherapy with 6-mercaptopurine and methotrexate was continued till two years later from the day of treatment start. The median survival time was 15.8 months (95% C.I. 6.0-18.8 months) and the long-term survival (more than 5 years after diagnosis) rate was 28.0%. The rate of complete remission was 83.9% ( 26 of 31) and the median of the complete remission duration was 15.8 months (95% C.I. 5.6-25.9 months). The rate of relapse was 69.2%. Good prognostic factor for overall survival time was the fraction of blast cells less than 75% in bone marrow at diagnosis (P=0.001) in univariate analysis. In multivariate analysis, age below 40 (P=0.003) and blast cells less than 75% in hone marrow at diagnosis (P=0.003) were good prognostic factors for overall survival time. Good prognostic factors for disease free survival in univariate analysis were the fraction of blast cells less than 75% in bone marrow (P=0.003), absence of fever (P=0.013), and absence of hepatomegaly (P=0.025), all at diagnosis. In multivariate analysis, good prognostic factors for disease free survival were platelet count more than 50,000/uL, blast cells less than 75% in bone marrow at diagnosis (P=0.004), serum LDH level below 500U/L (P=0.016). The result of treatment of ALL in adults has been improved but is not satisfactory in comparison with that in children. Despite of marked improvement of the rate of complete remission, the rate of relapse still not so much improved. So intensified consolidation chemotherpy or allogenic bone marrow transplantation or autologous bone marrow transplantation is necessary for improvement of survival of adult ALL.

        사후분해 시체에 대한 법의학적 접근

        Disposal of a homicide victim by dismemberment is rare, but individual cases are on record in most major medicolegal departments. Recognition of postmortem mutilation may be of importance in the interpretation of certain murders committed by sexual perverts and other mentally deranged individuals and sometimes performed for the sole reason of easier disposal of the body. Postmortem dismemberment is usually readily recognizable as such; The edges of the injuries are dry and lack evidence of bleeding. The joints may be disarticulated without fracture, or the use of an axe or saw may be evident from examination of bones. Parallel horizontal or oblique furrows in the bone surface are caused by skipping of the saw prior to establishing depth. Such patterns on the bone may assist in identifying the particular saw involved. So we report 25 dismembered corpses that autopsied in National Institute of Scientific Investigation. This paper can help in attempting to establish not only the first criminal investigation steps but also the medicolegal approach methods in unidentified and dismembered deaths.

        Cryopreservation of Sporothalli of the Genus Porphyra (Bangiales, Rhodophyta) from Korea

        Cryopreservation of sporothalli of the red alga Porphyra (P. seriata, P. yezoensis, P. tenera, P. pseudolinearis and P. dentata) was performed by the two-step cooling method in liquid nitrogen. The algal samples were suspended in various cryoprotective solutions, and slowly cooled to -40$^{\circ}C$ in 4 hours using a programmed freezer. After the first slow cooling the suspensions with cryoprotectants were immediately immersed in liquid nitrogen. The suspension from the programmed freezer was thawed quickly by agitation of the vial in a water bath at 40°C. When ice in the suspension of cryogenic vial was mostly melted, the vial was transferred to an ice bath for complete melting of the residual ice. The cryoprotectants in the vial were washed off by gradual dilution with seawater. The viability of the cell was assessed with neutral red staining. The viability of Porphyra samples ranged 54.6-70.9% when the mixed suspension of 10% dimethylsulfoxide and 0.5 M sorbitol in 50% seawater used as a cryoprotectant.

      • Identification of a Human using Accorded Blobs on the Varied Region from Image Sequence by Multiple Cameras

        This paper proposes a method to identify the same person in different-view images using plane homography. We address the problem of correspondence under multiple uncalibrated cameras. For solving this problem, we propose a three steps process. The first, we detect intensity-varied regions in the each image sequence by background subtraction. The background model has the temporal-median value for each pixel and it updates by itself in the process. The temporal difference between consecutive images contributes to detect accurately in the result of background subtraction. The second step is generating the set of blobs from detected varied regions in the each image sequence. Those blobs are generated using criterion with specific color range. Each blob is described probability distribution with color and location information in the image plane. The final step is matching the current color blobs with other blobs in the different images using maximum likelihood estimation. The matched color blobs are reconstructed to the human silhouette by context information that includes restriction conditions on the human body. Finally we identify matched human in the different images without calibration.
