        제2형 당뇨병 남성 환자에서 유리 테스토스테론과 성호르몬 결합 글로블린 농도

        연구배경:인슐린저항성은 제2형 당뇨병과 심혈관질환의 주요한 위험 인자로 성호르몬과 상호 관계가 있다고 알려져 있다. 그러나 여성과는 달리 남성에서는 연령과 인슐린저항성에 따른 유리 테스토스테론과 성호르몬 결합 글로블린 농도의 변화에 대한 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 그러므로, 본 저자등은 제2형 당뇨병 남성 환자에서 정산인과 비교해서 유리 테스토스테론과 성호르몬 결합 글로블린 농도를 측정하고 연령에 따른 변화 정도를 알아보고자 하였다. 방법:대상 환자 모두에서 연령과 체질량지수, 총 콜레스테롤, 중성지방, 공복혈당과 인슐린 농도를 측정하였다. 혈중 유리 테스토스테론 농도는 방사면역측정법(radioimmunoassay)을 이용해서 측정하였고, 혈중 성호르몬 결합글로불린은 면역방사계측측정법(immunoradiometric assay)을 이용해서 측정하였다(Diagnostic System Laoratories, Wbster, TX, USA). 결과:1)제2형 당뇨병 남성 환자에서 정상 대조군 남성에 비해 성호르몬 결합글로불린은 104.1±35.0 vs 25.7±3.5 mole×10??로 의미 있게 높았으나(p<0.001), 유리 테스토스테론은 13.7±9.5 vs 13.6±6.5 ng/dL로 차이가 없었다. 2)연령과 성호르몬 결합 글로블린 사이의 상관 계수는 제2형 당뇨병 남성 환자에서 0.40로 중등고의 양의 상관 관계를 보였고(p<0.001), 정상 대조군 남성에서 0.11로 유의한 상관 관계를 보이지 않았다. 연령과 유리 테스토스테론 사이의 상관 계수는 제2형 당뇨병 남성 환자에서 0.08, 정상 대조군 남성에서-0.17로 모두에서 유의한 상관 관계를 보이지 않았다. 3)연령과 체질량지수를 보정한 후에 제2형 당뇨병 남성 환자와 정상 대조군 남성에서 혈중 인슐린 농도, 유리 테스토스테론과 성호르몬 결합 글로블린 사이에는 상관 관계가 없었다. 결론:제2형 당뇨병 남성 환자에서 정상 남성에 비해 성호르몬 결합 글로블린 농도가 증가되어 있었으며, 유리 테스토스테론은 차이가 없었다. 연령이 증가함에 따라 성호르몬 결합 글로블린이 제2형 당뇨병 남성 환자에서 정상 남성에 비해 증가 폭이 의미있게 컸으며, 유리 테스토스테론은 변화가 없었다. Background: Insulin resistance is a risk factor for cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus. There are many previous studies indicating that insulin lowers serum sex hormone-binding globulin levels, and there is inverse correlation between insulin resistance and serum sex hormone-binding globulin levels in women. However, in men, a limited number of studies are available to explain the effect of sex hormone on age and insulin. Therefore, the present study was undertaken to investigate the relationship among free testosterone, hormone-binding globulin and age in type 2 diabetic men and control subjects. Method: Age, body mass index, total cholesterol, triglyceride, fasting blood sugar, and insulin concentrations were examined on 89 type 2 diabetic men and 47 control subjects. The free testosterone level was measured by commercially available double-antibody system (Radioimmunoassay). The sex hormone-binding globulin level was also measured by commercially available double-antibody system(Immunoradiometric assay). Results: 1) Sex hormone-binding globulin level was significantly increased in patients with type 2 diabetes. However, there was no significantly difference in free testosterone level between the two groups. 2) Sex hormone-binding globulin was positively correlated with age (r=0.4, p <0.001) in patients with type 2 diabetes. Sex hormone-binding globulin and free testosterone were not correlated with age in control sujects. 3) Free testosterone and sex hormone-binding globulin concentrations were not significantly related to serum insulin concentration after adjusting for age and body mass index. Conclusions: We observed increased sex hormone-binding globulin concentration in diabetes man, and was a positively related to age. Further studies are needed to understand the relationships between age, insulin resistance, testosterone, and sex hormone-binding globulin concentrations(J Kor Diabetes Asso 24:699~707,2000).

        Effective bandwidth allocation is desirable to control the ATM traffic. It should provide high fairness and utilization for different kinds of services in call admission. Complete bandwidth sharing is efficient for utilization of bandwidth but not efficient for fairness of call admission. Complete bandwidth partitioning is efficient for fairness but not efficient for utilization. We propose a new CST(Complete Sharing with Threshold) algorithm using threshold in a VP to improve fairness and utilization. Using CST algorithm. the system performance is improved by 1.4% compared with the RSC(Reserved Sharing with Common pool) algorithm.

        Abdominal tuberculosis is described in two forms; tuberculous peritonitis and gastrointestinal tuberculosis. Abdominal tuberculosis is usually insidious onset with diverse symptoms and signs. The diagnosis is difficult, especially in areas where the disease is less common, as many patients do not have evidence of pulmonary tuberculosis or a positive skin test. Physicians should obtain a thorough history focusing on risk behaviors for tuberculosis. Delayed diagnosis is common, resulting in high mortality. In general, the same regimens are used to treat pulmonary and abdominal tuberculosis. Most intra-abdominal and other types of fluid collections are now successfully drained percutaneously under image guidance. The utility of percutaneous drainage(PCD) of tuberculous abscesses is less well established. A 43-years-old man, who had been diagnosed as pulmonary tuberculosis about 9 years ago, suffered from peritoneal abscess because of delayed diagnosis. The diagnosis of tuberculosis was confirmed by the PCR tests for the detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in the aspirates from the abscess. Drainage was done by catheter under ultrasound guidance and there were no procedural complications. The abscess was successfully and completely evacuated. We present our experience with a case of tuberculous peritoneal abscess which were successfully treated by PCD and antituberculous medication.

        생활사건, 사회지지, 대처방식에 대한 전환장애와 신체화장애와의 비교연구

        This study was designed to compare conversion disorder, somatization disorder patients to the matched controls about life events, social support, and coping skills. The number of subjects were 22 with conversion disorder, 21 with somatizaion disorder and 19 normal controls. Stress items. Interpersonal social-support assesement items, and The ways of coping checklist for clinical assesement were administered to all subjects to evaluate each relevant areas. In life events, conversion disorder patients and somatization disorder patients showed significantly hight moderate events than normal controls. In social support and coping skills, patients with conversion disorder or somazation disorder were significantly lower than controls. Conversion disorder showed to have less active coping but more passive coping than those with somatization disorder. Conversion disorder patients reported more life events than somatization disorder patients along with lacking in social support and coping skills. Somazation disorder patients showed much higher superior support-seeking score than conversion disorder patients. These differences may be considered to play some role in showing different clinical manifestations in the somazation disorder and conversion disorder.

        The research which has conducted over coaches, trainers, and parents to advance Taekwondo education through learning the management of training institution is concluded like this: First, the great percentage of people interested in Taekwondo training is younger generations 66.53% of elementary of middle school students, and 14.93% of high school students. Second, the reasons to train Taekwondo are self protection 34.80% and changing personality 16.5% many trainers have learned Taekwondo to protect themselves from crimes. Third, in research to detect the concern of Taekwondo coaches, 50.70% of coaches possess more than 5 references of Taekwondo education, but 16.5% do not have any. 33.35% think that there is no education for coaches, but 9.33% believe so. As a result, the lack of Taekwondo training. Fourth, only 15.88% of training institutions are absolutely equipped by Taekwondo facility, but 2.65% are not. Thus, the facility and equipment for Taekwondo training are needed in most places. After understanding the problems of Taekwondo training, one which may help. First, the city and state government must operate classes for Taekwondo coaches such as course for elementary physical education, old age, respiration of dan-qian, qi-gong, and Taekwondo gymnastics. Second, By creating influential training methods such as, humanity and leadership training and courses designed to educate Taekwondo martial arts, each institution must be conducting morning Taekwondo classes in public places, operating the benefits of Taekwondo training. Fourth, Each institution must provide better services to trainers by correcting the crucial problems.

      • 복어卵巢 鹽藏品 製造中의 化學的 成分 및 毒性의 變化

        Attempts were made to investigate the levels of chemical components and detoxification of the salted puffer overies, Fugu xanthopterus, "Ggachibog" and Fugu rubripes rubripes, "Chambog", processing of solid salt mixtures containing sodium bicarbonate, during storage period. Fresh ovaries of the puffers were divided into three portions, sprinkled with a solid salt mixture containing 0,1 or 2% NaHCO₃, and were stored at room temperature for 12 weeks. The samples were examined at each step and assayed for pH, VBN, amino-N, toxicity and thin- layer chromatogram pattern. The results were summarized as follows: The values of pH were appeared to be different with the added amount of siodium bicarbonate and the values of pH were over 7.0 in a salt mixture containing 2% NaHCO₃. The change of VBN value was also revealed about 85mg/100g in A division and 90-100mg/100g in both B and C, respectively, in the salted ovary of puffer "Ggachibog" from 8 weeks. In case of salted product from the "Chamboh" ovary, it had slightly lower value than that of "Ggachibog" ovary. Also, the value of amino-N was increased until 4-6 weeks and was slowly down after the weeks in all samples. All salted products were found to lose most of the toxicity during storage period when the salt containing NaHcO₃was used for sprinkling. In the case of raw ovaries being weak toxicity below 5.0 MU/g or 24.1 MU/g, the toxicity of salted product was dropped near the level to be edible. Therefore there was significant detoxification of the puffer ovaries by the salt mixture containing sodium bicarbonate. Finally, the toxins isolated from each raw puffer ovary were detected to be TTX-related components by thin-layer chromatogrphy.

        The present study was conducted to elucidate some characteristics of soy protein hydrolysates. The soy protein was obtained from defatted soy power by the treatment of n-hexan. The hydrolysates of soy protein were prepared from hydrolysis by bromelian and pepsin with the two kinds of samples of precooking for 30 min in steam oven and noncooking, and fractionated through Bio-gel P-4 column chromatography. Fractions of hydrolysates separated on the Bio-gel column chromatography were carried out to SDS-PAG electrophoresis, resulting to show some different bends from 66kD to 14.2kD of molecular weight. In addition, the fractions showed different activities of superoxide dismutase. From these results, it was found that the hydrolysates could be available to use in a lot of food industrial fields as new functional food materials because the hydrolysates had different characteristics in electrophoresis and could increase the activity of superoxide dismutase.

        고온·고압 처리한 키토산을 이용한 수중의 납 제거에 관한 연구

        In order to know the effect of autoclaving on the heavy metal removal using chitosan, lead removal capacities and removal rates by various chitosans in aqueous solution were compared according to the various autoclaving time. The lead removal efficiencies and removal rates by the autoclaved chitosan were found to be on the order of 15 min(98%) > 10 min(95%) > 30 min(83%) > 5 min(53%) > 60 min(47%) > 0 min(22%) chitosan. The molecular weight of chitosan was decreased by the increase of autoclaving time. Therefore, the heavy metal removal capacity was not well correlated to the molecular weight. Langmuir isotherm was well fitted to experimental results of equilibrium adsorption on chitosan. In order to examine the process of lead removal by the autoclaved chitosan, TEMs, SEMs and FT-IR analyses were used. The surface of autoclaved chitosan was much more porous and the lead removal was mainly occurred on the surface of chitosan. The structure of autoclaved chitosan was same as that of controlled chitosan.
