        Soft, adhesive and conductive composite for electroencephalogram signal quality improvement

        Since electroencephalogram (EEG) is a very small electrical signal from the brain, it is very vulnerable to external noise ormotion artifact, making it difficult to measure. Therefore, despite the excellent convenience of dry electrodes, wet electrodeshave been used. To solve this problem, self-adhesive and conductive composites using carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in adhesivepolydimethylsiloxane (aPDMS), which can have the advantages of both dry and wet electrodes, have been developed bymixing them uniformly with methyl group-terminated PDMS. The CNT/aPDMS composite has a low Young's modulus,penetrates the skin well, has a high contact area, and excellent adhesion and conductivity, so the signal quality is enhanced. As a result of the EEG measurement test, although it was a dry electrode, results comparable to those of a wet electrode wereobtained in terms of impedance and motion noise. It also shows excellent biocompatibility in a human fibroblast cell test anda week-long skin reaction test, so it can measure EEG with high signal quality for a long period of time.

      • 그레이브스병에서 치료에 따른 폐동맥압의 변화

        연구배경: 갑상선기능항진증에 의한 갑상선중독증 환자들은 호흡곤란을 호소하며, 그 원인으로 호흡근의 근력 약화, 좌심실부전으로 인한 폐모세혈관의 울혈, 기도저항의 증가, 갑상선종으로 인한 기관의 압박, 호흡기능 이상 등이 거론되고 있다. 폐동맥고혈압이 동반된 그레이브스병 환자가 여러 증례가 보고되었으며, 폐동맥고혈압 환자에게서 갑상선 자가항체와 갑상선기능저하증의 빈도가 높음이 알려지면서 갑상선중독증이 동반된 그레이브스병 환자에게서 관찰되는 호흡곤란의 한 원인으로 폐동맥압 증가가 작용할 가능성이 제시되고 있다. 이에 저자 등은 그레이브스병 환자를 대상으로 폐동맥압을 측정하고 치료 전후의 폐동맥압의 변화를 전향적으로 연구하였다. 방법: 갑상선중독증이 동반된 그레이브스병 환자와 정상 갑상선기능을 나타낸 대조군을 대상으로 갑상선기능검사 및 갑상선 자가항체를 측정하고, 심초음파를 이용하여 치료 전후로 폐동맥압을 측정하여 폐동맥압과 갑상선기능 및 갑상선 자가항체와의 관계, 폐동맥압의 변화 등을 관찰하였다. 결과: 1. 연구대상은 대조군 10명 (남녀비 1:9, 관해 상태의 그레이브스병 3명, 갑상선종 3명, 정상인 4명), 그레이브스병 환자 26명 (남녀비 7:19)이었다. 2. 대조군과 치료 전 그레이브스병 환자의 폐동맥압은 각각 23.5±2.32 mmHg, 29.6±10.3 mmHg이었고, 치료 전의 폐동맥압과 혈청 갑상선자극호르몬 결합억제 면역글로불린 (TBII) 농도는 유의한 양의 상관관계를 보였다. 3. 26명의 그레이브스병 환자 중에서 10명 (38.5%)이 폐동맥고혈압 (기준: 폐동맥압 > 30 mmHg)으로 진단되었다. 4. 치료 전후로 폐동맥압을 측정한 13명은 폐동맥압이 치료 전 29.6±10.3 mmHg에서 치료 후 폐동맥압 22.2±6.48 mmHg로 의미있게 감소하였다. 결론: 갑상선중독증을 보이는 그레이브스병 환자의 약 40% 정도에서 폐동맥고혈압이 발견되어 폐동맥고 혈압은 그레이브스병에 흔하게 동반하는 질환으로 생각된다. 향후 그레이브스병 환자에서 관찰되는 폐동맥압의 증가와 관련한 병인, 발생기전 및 임상적 의의 등에 대한 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각된다. Background: Exertional symptoms, dyspnea and impaired effort tolerance are common in patients with Graves' disease. Proposed explanations include: high-output left heart failure, ineffective oxygen utilization and respiratory muscle weakness. In addition, pulmonary hypertension has also been reported in patients with Graves' disease. A high prevalence of hypothyroidism and positive thyroid autoantibody were also observed in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension. Therefore, the pulmonary artery pressure in patients with Graves' disease was evaluated. Methods: Two-dimensional and Doppler echocardiographic examinations (Hewlett Packard Sonos 2500) were performed to determine the pulmonary artery (PA) pressure in 26 Graves' disease patients, both before and after treatment (23 patients with propylthiouracil and 3 with RAI), and in 10 euthyroid controls. The changes in the PA pressure after treatment were evaluated in 13 patients with Graves' disease, who became euthyroid after treatment. Results: The pulmonary artery pressure was increased in the untreated Graves' disease patients compared to the normal controls (23.5±2.32 vs. 29.6±10.3 mmHg). 38.5% of the Graves' disease patients (10/26) showed pulmonary arterial hypertension (PA>30 mmHg) and the serum TBII level was higher in the Graves' disease patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension than in those with normal PA pressure (P<0.05). In the Graves' patients who became euthyroid after treatment, the PA pressure was significantly decreased. Conclusion: 38.5% of the untreated Graves' disease patients showed pulmonary arterial hypertension, and the pulmonary artery pressure was significantly decreased in those who became euthyroid after treatment. The pathogenesis and clinical importance of pulmonary arterial hypertension in Graves' disease requires further studies (J Kor Soc Endocrinol 18:465∼472, 2003).

        간암 환자에 합병된 Citrobacter braakii 패혈증 1례 보고

        Citrobacter species is a gram-negative bacilli that can cause opportunistic infections in immunocompromised hosts. Citrobacter braakii refers to the genomospecies 6 of the Citrobacter freundii complex. There are no detailed studies on infections caused by this newly identified specific genetic species in Korea. We herein report a case of a patient with hepatocellular carcinoma who, after undergoing transcatheter arterial chemoembolization, developed biloma which later progressed to C.braakii sepsis and did not respond to treatment. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case in Korea on C. braakii infection resulting in septic shock in a patient with malignancy in Korea.

        양파망을 이용한 느타리버섯(Pleurotus ostreatus) 재배기술

        본 연구는 볏짚을 이용한 느타리버섯 균상재배를 할 때 볏짚을 결속하고 절단하는 과정에서 많은 노동시간이 소요되어 이를 개선하고자 수행되었다. 볏짚과 폐면의 이화학적 성분은 다소차이가 있으나 폐면에서 C/N율은 84~85로 볏짚과 유사하여 혼합재료로 사용이 가능하다. 양파망 규격은 35×30cm, 볏짚과 페면의 배합비는 40:60(V/V) 으로 하였을 때 6주기기간동안 평균수량이 양파망 1개당 1,450g 이였다. 배지재료를 준비하는 기간은 앙파망재배가 볏짚재재보다 3일정도 기간을 절감할 수 있었고 접종도 4시간정도 절략되어 전체적으로 3.5일정도 시간을 절략 5%의 경제적 이득이 있는 것으로 분석되었다. This was performed to improve the working conditions of oyster mushroom cultivation on bed using rice straw of which binding and cutting procedure need a lot of time. There was a little difference in physiochemical components between rice straw and cotton waste C/N ration of cotten waste was, however, similar to rice straw as 84-85. If is feasible to use as substrate material. The average yield of a net was 1450g in six frustration harvest, when the size of an onion net was 35×30cm, mixture ratio of rice straw to cotton waste was 40:60(V/V). Cultivation method using an onion net saved 3 days for preparation, 4 hours for inoculation compared to normal bed cultivation. This method was analysed to give 5% economical benefit

      • 한국전통 식품의 원료인 메주와 누룩에서 분리된 접합균에 대한 연구

        The fungal isolates of Mucorales, directly collected from Korean traditional raw materials of Nuruk (raw material for Korean rice wine) and Meju (raw material for Korean soysauces), were compared with those of Rhizopus oryzae purchased. The fungal isolates of Rhizopus, Mucor, and Absidia mostly identified as based on the morphological observations, were evaluated with the PCR-polymorphic bands. The PCR-polymorphic bands of the genomic DNA reacted with the primers of OPD series tenmer were various, but showed averaged 4 to 6 in the agarose-electrophoresis. The dissimilarity coefficient (DC) between two isolates were compared by the cluster analysis, dendrogams and polar ordinations. The isolates of R. oryzae known showed several groupings within the lower value of DC and were divided to two groups of amylo-process and other fungi with other purposes. The isolates unidentified were identified by the DC made of this results. Taxonomy of these isolates made by the morphological observations were consistent with those resulted above in most case but not in all aspects. More works were needed with the isolates known for detail informations of Mucorales.

        Yarrowia lipolytica TH65가 생산하는 Alkaline Proteinase의 정제 및 특성

        최적조건에서 생산한 효소를 40~65% ammonium sulfate 분획, DEAE-cellulose chromatography, Sephadex G-100과 Sephadex G-75 gel filtration을 이용하여 수율 14%, 15배 정제하였다. 정제효소의 분자량은 SDS-PAGE로 측정한 결과 31,500 정도였고, 최적온도와 최적 pH는 각각 40℃와 8.5~9.0이었다. 대부분의 2가 금속이온은 효소활성을 저해하였으며, 특히 Hg^2+, Zn^2+, Co^2+ 등은 강하게 저해하였다. PMSF는 효소활성을 완전히 저해시켰으며, EDTA, EGTA 및 phenanthroline은 부분적으로 저해시켰으나 Ca^2+을 첨가하면 모두 효소활성이 복원되는 것으로 나타나 metalloprotease는 아닌 것으로 생각되었다. 이상의 결과로 보아 본 효모 Yarrowia lipolytica TH65가 생산하는 효소는 alkaline serine proteinase로 생각된다. An alkaline proteinase produced by Yarrowia lipolytica TH65 was purified by 40~65% ammonium sulfate fractionation, DEAE-cellulose chromatography, and gel filtration with Sephadex G-100 and Sephadex G-75. The purified enzyme was shown as a single ban on SDS-PAGE, and its molecular weight 31,500. Optimum temperature and pH were 40℃ and 8.5~9.0, respectively, and the enzyme was stable below 40℃ and in the pH range of 6~8. The enzyme was strongly inhibited by divalent ions, completely by PMSF, and partially by EDTA, EGTA, and phenanthroline. But the inhibitory effect in the presence of EDTA, EGTA and phenanthroline could be reversed by addition of Ca^2+. Thus, these results indicated that the purified enzyme was an alkaline serine proteinase (E.C. 3.4.21.14).

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the philosophy of the body and physical activities in silla. Conclusions are summarized as follow; 1. The Hwarang in Silla pursues the realization of the integrity, the purity and the honesty. Physical thought for the Hwarang manifests the unity of the body and the mind. 2. The physical activity of Hwarang relies on singing, dancing, pilgrimage, military arts and hunting for the formulation of a strong and beautiful unity of the body and mind. For the emergence time, the Hwarang accomplished the military acts consisting the young-warrior, and gave the motivating force to the unification of the Silla.

        바닥공조시스템과 천장공조시스템의 실내환경 비교 평가

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the indoor environment of office building with underfloor air distribution system and ceiling based air conditioning system. The underfloor air distribution system was introduced to use access floor and aim to economical motive such as reducing floor to height level. Researches were not sufficient to preserve the characteristics between ceiling based air conditioning system and underfloor air distribution system. Experiments have been carried out to indoor environment in the summer and winter. As the result, thermal environment of the underfloor air distribution system is better than ceiling based air conditioning system in the winter. Ventilation effectiveness of the underfloor air distribution system is bigger than ceiling based air conditioning system.

        남한 내 북한이탈주민의 3년간 사회적응 추적 연구 : 2001년부터 2004년까지 생활과 교육을 중심으로 With prioty given to life of North Korea defectors from 2001 to 2004

        Purpose of this study : In 2001, this study that investigate actual conditions about adaptation degree of Korean social life of the North Korean defectors was carried out to 151 people that succeed in chases among 200 the North Korea defectors answer in study. Purpose of this study is as following. First, we wished to search change aspect of actual conditions about South Korea society adaptation of the North Korean defectors who take part in the first investigation for past 3 years. Second, we wished to search difference of adaptation aspect by populational and social element. Third, We wished to suggest things that can be beaconed to efficient support policy of government or private organization and successful South Korea social adaptation method which support the North Korean defectors on the basis of study finding about change of adaptation aspect of the North Korea defectors. Methods of Study : We designated 200 Panels to study and survey actual adaptation conditions of the North Korean defectors on South Korea society synthetically and for long-term. So, chasing about 151 people was possible in 2004. We are fertilized and supplement the questionnaire forming in 2001 and composed the new questionnaires to part of a life, mental state, Body and health. This study among them investigated a standard of living of the North Korean defectors. In this process, interviewer directly asked and recorded questions to reduce individual variation of people who receive interview. Study Results : Government's residence support policy about North Korean secession inhabitants was generally attained as effective and suitable for North Korean inhabitants' early South Korea settlement. Only, government need to discuss about North Korea secession inhabitants' residence support more variously for long-term. Second, education should be supported more actively and variously. Suitable point of education for their needs should make a effect of vocational training or education maximize. This is a very important part. Third, they need guidance and education that can receive more easily law support. Fourth, medical supports and health cares should be achieved continuously and systematically to them since they arrived in South Korea. To supports and studies North Korean secession inhabitants has the large significance to gain a foothold about reunification of North and south. Their South Korea society adaptation is becoming topic of conversation among South Korean. An atmosphere of unity is elated. And interest degrees about North Korean are actually rising as exchanges between South and North Korean is activated. Therefore, the adaptation study about North Korean secession inhabitants will have to be expanded in studies for South Korean, not to be limited in studies for North Korean.

        꽃송이버섯의 단목봉지재배 기술개발

        꽃송이버섯은 다른 버섯에 비해 1.3-β-Dglucan 함량이 높은 식용버섯이다. 이 버섯은 면역, 항암효과가 높은 버섯이며, 일본과 한국에서 최근 재배방법이 개발되었다. 하지만 재배방법이 대부분 특허 출원되어있는 실정이다. 그리고 꽃송이버섯의 재배방법이 확립되어있지 않다. 본 연구는 꽃송이버섯의 봉지 단목 재배방법개발하기위해 균사배양 및 원기형성 조건을 조사하였다. 단목 재배에 사용한 수종으로는 낙엽송, 해송, 리기다소나무, 상수리나무 단목을 사용하였고, 리기다소나무 단목에서 자실체 수량이 가장 양호하였다. 그리고 리기다소나무 단목을 생이스트 5%에 8시간동안 침지하고 생육조건은 온도 및 습도를 각각 90~95%, 23~25℃처리에서 자실체발생이 가장 양호하였다. Sparassis crispa(Cauliflower mushroom) was an edible mushroom that shows remarkably high contents of 1.3-□-Dglucan compared to other edible mushroom. The mushroom was known to give high antitumor and immunology activated, and then this mushroom was recently cultivated in Japan and Korea. However, cultivation methods ware becoming kept in secret or patents by some companies with complicated procedures. And it was not established cultivation methods of Sparassis crispa up to now. This study was conducted to solve the problem by short-log cultivation method of Sparassis crispa. Some factors effecting on the mycelial growth and primordial formation of Sparassis crispa were investigated. We could produce the mushroom using short-woods of Larix leptolepis, Pinus densiflora, Pinus rigida and Quercus acutissima. We get to high yield fruit-body on short-log cultivaiton of Pinus rigida. And soaking for 8hours in water solution containing 5% uncooked yeast with short-wood of Pinus rigida. The optimal moisture content and temperature were 90~95% and 23~25℃, respectively.
