The physical, mechanical, water purification and temperature properties of fiber reinforced porous hwang-toh green roof concrete have been evaluated in this study. The effect of the depending on replacement ratio of blast furnace slag to cement was investigated such that the replacement ratio is varied to 0 % and 30 %. Also, the replacement ratios of hwang-toh were 0, 20 and 30 %. The polyvinyl alcohol fiber was used for the reinforcing fiber. A series of pH test, unit weight, void ratio, compressive strength, after purification and variation of temperature test have been performed to evaluate the performance, water purification effect and temperature properties of the fiber reinforced porous hwang-toh green roof concrete. The test results indicate that the physical and mechanical properties of fiber reinforced porous hwang-toh green roof concrete is affected by the replacement ratio of the blast furnace slag and hwang-toh contents. Results of purifying water showed that the water purification effect of porous hwang-toh green roof concrete is about 40 %. Also, the temperature properties test results indicate the green roof blocks using fiber reinforced porous hwang-toh green roof concrete have insulation and temperature reduction effect.

This study aims to evaluate a porous concrete using hwang-toh, blast furnace slag and blast furnace slag (BFS) cement instead of type I cement. The tests that were carried out to analysis the properties of porous hwang-toh BFS cement concrete included compressive strength, continuous void ratio, absorption rate, and pH value, repeated freezing and thawing test were conducted. Test results indicated that the performance in porous hwang-toh concrete are effective on the kaoline based binder materials. The pH value were shown in about 9.5 ~ 8.5. The compressive strength was increased and void ratio was decreased with increasing the kaoline based binder materials, respectively. The void ratio and compressive strength were in the range of about 21 ~ 30 %, 8 ~ 13 MPa, respectively. The increased in void ratio of more than 25 % is showed to reduce the resistance of repeated freezing and thawing. Also, the resistance of repeated freezing of thawing and the compressive strength of porous hwang-toh BFS cement concrete are independent with hwang-toh content and BFS cement amount. But, the void ratio was decreased with increasing the high volume hwang-toh contents (more than 15 %).

The physical, mechanical and freezing and thawing properties of non cement porous vegetation concrete using non-sintering inorganic binder have been evaluated in this study. Four types of porous vegetation concrete according to the binder type is evaluated. The pH value, void ratio, compressive strength, repeated freezing and thawing properties were tested. The test results indicate that the physical, mechanical and repeated freezing and thawing properties of porous vegetation concrete using the non-sintering inorganic binder is increased or equivalent compared to the porous vegetation concrete using the blast furnace slag + cement and hwang-toh + cement binders. Also, Vegetation monitoring test results indicate the porous vegetation concrete using the non-sintering inorganic binder have increasing effects of vegetation growth.

In this study, evaluated ware the strength and durability of the vegetated water purification channel concrete to which recycled aggregates, hawang-toh and jute were applied. Box-Behnken method of response surface analysis in statistics was applied to the experimental design. Experimental variables are as follows, recycled coarse aggregates, hawang-toh, blast-furnace slag and jute fiber. In the experiment, conducted were the tests of compressive strength, chloride ion penetration, abrasion resistance and impact resistance the replacement rate effects of the recycled aggregates, blast-furnace slag and hwang-toh on the performance of vegetated water purification channel concrete were analyzed by using the response surface analysis method on the basis of the experimental results. In addition, an optimum mixing ratio of vegetated water purification channel concrete was determined by using the experimental results. The optimum mixing ratio was determined to be in 10.0% recycled coarse aggregates, 60.0% blast-furnace slag, 10.1% hwang-toh and 0.16% jute fiber. The compressive strength, chloride ion penetration, abrasion rate, and impact number of fracture test results of the optimum mixing ratio were 24.1 MPa, 999 coulombs, 10.30 g/mm3, and 20 number, respectively.

In this paper, a reference model following control system using a fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is proposed. A reference model whose response does not overshoot and has a fast rise time is designed. A FLC is designed to follow as close as possible the response of the reference model. The proposed design method has the robustness and the optimal tracking property under modeling error, disturbance and parameter perturbations. The proposed designing method is compared using a PD controller throughout the experiment. The effectiveness of the proposed designing method is verified through computer simulation and experiments for the second-order and the first-order reference model.

This study was carried out to grasp the awareness and habits of food intake and use the information for health education program in order to help healthy dietary life. The survey was done in cooperation with health manager in industries on 1,200 workers who was selected randomly from 5 types of industries from Sep. 2 to Oct. 31, 1995. The results are summarized as follows: 1) The percentage of subjects who assess themselves "Healthy" was more higher in female, in 20∼29 age group, in single, in daytime workers, in college graduate than other groups respectively. 2) As for the degree of health education satisfaction, 35.5% of the subjects answered "dissatisfaction" 3) As for the exercise, 52.7% exercised for their health and the rate of exercise was more higher in male, in 30 years age group, in single than other groups respectively. 4) The rate of smoking was 57.6% and the rate of drinking alcohol was 47.3%. 5) 92.8% of the subjects got stress everyday and the rate is more higher in female, in less than 19 years old, in single, in longer working duration, in lower income, in high school graduates, in workers of product field line than other groups respectively. 6) As for drinking times of coffee or soft drink, two times per day was 29.5%, more three times per day was 28.0%. As for the eating speed of meal, 46.0% of the subjects answered "fast" and the rate was more higher in male, in 30 years age group, in married group, than other groups respectively. 7) With regard to the level of preference to instant food, 23.1% preferred to take instant food. As for the level of preference to hot and salty food, 28.1% preferred to have hot and salty food. 8) The score of eating behavior was 3.38±32 point to 6 point full marks. 9) With regard to the correlation among related variables, the variables of gender, marital status and working duration had positive relation with the variables of regular meal intake, the preference to food intake between regular meals.

Modeling and reliability analysis technique of telecommunications power system is proposed. The telecommunications power system can be modeled as a serial connection of two parallel redundant systems. One is a rectifier system, and another is AC system composed of both engine alternator and commercial source. The reliability analysis is performed for three distributed power systems. The analysis shows that two engine-alternators with reduced battery reserve can be used instead of the conventional one engine-alternator with three-hour battery reserve. This technique can also be applied to the reliability analyses of other DC uninterruptible power systems.

This study was carried out to estimate the efficiency of treatment and proper management of wastewater treaterment plant in biological treatment of old paper mill wastewater. In this study, the F/M ratio was changed 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4, HRT and temperature were changed 12hr, 24hr, 48hr, 72hr and 20℃, 26℃, 30℃ respectively. 1. By case of the F/M ratio, the range of COD result was 83%∼85% and the SS result was 82%∼93% in the efficiency of treatment when the F/M ratio was changed from 0.1 to 0.4 and the HRT was 48hr. Therefore, the efficency of treatment of COD and SS was little influenced by the change of F/M ratio. 2. And in the change of hydraulic retention time(HRT) when the HRT was changed as 0hr, 12hr, 24hr, 48hr and 72hr, the efficiency of treatment was upgraded as the term of HRT. 3. In the case of temperature, when the condition of inside of the reactor was changed from 20 ℃ to 32 ℃, the efficiency of the COD and SS was moved up. 4. Because the COD is 130 ㎎/ℓ and the SS is 120 ㎎/ℓ as the standard of applied wastewater discharge, in the condition of old paper mill was wastewater plant of 20℃ the hydraulic retention time of 48hr is suitable. In the case of 26℃ and 32℃ the HRT of 24hr is proper.

A cooling system of chamber is universally appliable with simple ON-OFF control algorithm. It has such disadvantages as having a delay for response time. To solve the above problem, we propose establishing the mathematical model of cooling system for chamber, simulating it with PID control algorithm and evaluating performance tests for control algorithm respectively.
