        초음파 영상 데이터를 활용한 내장기 추나요법 시술 부위 탐색 연구

        Objectives This study was conducted to confirm anatomical information near the treatment areas of visceral chuna manual therapy and to secure stability and effectiveness during the treatment. Methods For 50 healthy adult men and women, a total of 13 ultrasound images were taken of the 7 treatment areas which are the representative treatment areas of visceral Chuna manual therapy. Results The treatment area of the bottom of the liver can be palpated around the right side ST19 and CV14. The treatment area of the gallbladder and the common bile duct can be palpated around the right side SP16 and ST20. The treatment area of the cardia and the pylorus can be palpated around the left side KI21, right side ST20, ST21, KI19, KI20, CV12, and CV13. The origin point of the mesentery root can be moved to the left and lower left from CV12 and can be palpated. The treatment area of the ileocecal valve and the cecum can be palpated around the right side SP14. The treatment area for the colic flexure can be palpated around the both side LR13. The treatment support point for the kidneys can be palpated around both side BL51. Conclusions It is thought that if the ultrasound image data from the meridians around the treatment site is used as an auxiliary, it will be more effective in terms of safety and effectiveness during the treatment of visceral Chuna manual therapy.         Protective Effect of Heme Oxygenase-1 on High Glucose-Induced Pancreatic β-Cell Injury

        <P><B>Background</B></P><P>Glucose toxicity that is caused by chronic exposure to a high glucose concentration leads to islet dysfunction and induces apoptosis in pancreatic β-cells. Heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) has been identified as an anti-apoptotic and cytoprotective gene. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether HO-1 up-regulation when using metalloprotophyrin (cobalt protoporphyrin, CoPP) could protect pancreatic β-cells from high glucose-induced apoptosis.</P><P><B>Methods</B></P><P>Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction was performed to analyze the CoPP-induced mRNA expression of HO-1. Cell viability of INS-1 cells cultured in the presence of CoPP was examined by acridine orange/propidium iodide staining. The generation of intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) was measured using flow cytometry. Glucose stimulated insulin secretion (GSIS) was determined following incubation with CoPP in different glucose concentrations.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>CoPP increased HO-1 mRNA expression in both a dose- and time-dependent manner. Overexpression of HO-1 inhibited caspase-3, and the number of dead cells in the presence of CoPP was significantly decreased when exposed to high glucose conditions (HG). CoPP also decreased the generation of intracellular ROS by 50% during 72 hours of culture with HG. However, decreased GSIS was not recovered even in the presence of CoPP.</P><P><B>Conclusion</B></P><P>Our data suggest that CoPP-induced HO-1 up-regulation results in protection from high glucose-induced apoptosis in INS-1 cells; however, glucose stimulated insulin secretion is not restored.</P>

        A 5-year-old Jindo dog (13.7 kg, intact female) with history of cervical mass was referred to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital of Chungnam National University. Complete blood cell count showed mild anemia thrombocytopenia. And serum biochemistry showed increased ALP. On radiologic evaluation, multicentric lymph nodes' enlargement. Based on the findings, the dog was diagnosed as multicentric T-cell lymphoma. The dog was treated with LCOAP-short protocol, but survived 7 months since first finding.

        In this paper, the compatibility studies between radio LAN(RLAN) and wireless system according to the mutual interference characteristics in the 5GHz band was proposed. These results were obtained from the theoretical and experimental analysis between RLAN and wireless systems such as EESS, SAR, and radars. As the results, the RLAN requires that dynamic frequency selelction(DFS) shall be used in order to reduce the interference to other systems operating in these bands, and different polarization shall be used with the polarization characteristics of other systems.

      • 혈액투석중인 만성신부전 환자에서 골대사 지표로써의 Osteocalcin치

        Background : Serum osteocalcin is synthesized by osteoblast and has been shown to be sensitive indicator of bone turnover inpatients with various metabolic bone disease. In renal osteodystrophy, serum osteocalcin is elevated due to decreased renal clearance and elevated level of PTH. This study was done to evaluate the usefulness of serum osteocalcin as a marker of bone metabolism and the correlation with other biochemical markers of bone metabolism. Methods : We measured serum osteocalcin, calcium, phosphorus, ALP(alkaline phosphatase) and PTH(parathyroid hormone) in 37 patients with end stage renal disease on hemodialysis. Osteocalcin was determined by radioimmunoassay and PTH was determined by radioimmunometric assay. Results : 1) The mean level of serum osteocalcin in ESRD patients was 233.8± 218.2ng/ml which was significantly higher than that of controls(p<0.0001). 2) The mean level of serum PTH in ESRD patients was 40.5± 43.8pg/ml was significantly higher than that of controls(p<0.005). 3) There was a significant positive correlation between the level of serum PTH, ALP and the level of serum osteocalcin in ESRD patients. 4) By using multiple regression, PTH is most reliable factor that affect to elevated level of serum osteocalcin ( beta coefficient = 0.687, Sig T<0.05). Conclusion : Serum osteocalcin as a marker of bone metabolism in ESRD patients is more useful than other biochemical marker such as serum calcium, phosphorus, ALP and PTH is a most reliable factor that affect to elevated level of serum osteocalin.

      • 흰쥐에서 음경발기 평가의 척도로서 음경해면체내압측정술 확립

        Purpose: Because studies about the control of penile erection at the entral nervous system was dependent on the animal experiments, establishment of measuring penile erection is important to evaluate the effects changes at the central nervous system on the penile erection. Intracavernous pressure measurement in rats has been introduced as a suitable index for the evaluation of penile erection but this method is invasive and technically difficult. So, we established the intracavernous pressure measurement in rats as the experimental index for penile erection. Materials and Methods: 42 male adult Sprague-Dawley rats (250-300gm) were divided to saline or papaverine treated group. Rats were placed on a heating table to maintain their body temparature and anesthetized with 50mg/kg of pentobarbital sodium by intraperitoneal injection. A cannula was inserted to the left carotid artery to measure systemic blood pressure. Saline (0.05, 0.1ml), papaverine(0.05, 0.1, 0.25, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0mg) were injected intracavernously via 26 guage needle filled with saline or papaverine which connected to pressure transducer and polygraph was inserted into the corpus cavernosum on one side to inject the drug and to measure intracavernous presure. Results: Properly executed insertion and intracavernous administration produced a instantaneous but transient rise in intracavernous pressure that substantially stabilized and maintained at 5.4±0.4mmHg. Intracavernous pressure and duration of penile blood flow following intracavernous injection of papaverine are increased comared to those of saline. Conclusions: Monitoring intracavernous pressure in rats represents a suitable index for the evaluation of penile erection in small laboratory animals.

      • AGT 시스템의 동적 증가계수 시뮬레이션

        무인궤도운전열차(Automated Guide-way Transit, AGT) 시스템의 접지력 및 교량-차량의 동적 응답을 구하기 위해 노면조도가 있는 주행로를 운행하는 AGT 시스템에 대한 동적 운동방정식을 유도하였다. AGT 시스템의 차량은 3차원 11 자유도 모델로 이상화하였고, 교량은 3차원 프레임 모델로 단순화하였다. 동적 운동방정식의 해를 구하기 위하여 컴퓨터 프로그램을 개발하였고, 해석된 결과는 실험자료의 결과치와 비교 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 프로그램의 해석결과 AGT 교량, 차량 그리고 노면요철의 상호 작용에 의한 교량과 차량의 동적 응답을 구하여 정밀한 교량의 동적증가계수를 산정할 수 있었다. The equations of motion for an automated guide-way transit(AGT) system running on a path with roughness have been derived to investigate dynamic responses and wheel loads of moving vehicles of the AGT system. A vehicle of the AGT system is idealized as three-dimensional model with 11 degree-of-freedom, and a bridge is modelized with three F.E. method. The computer program is developed to solve the dynamic equations, and analytical results are verified by comparing the results with experimental ones. As a result, the computer program which developed in this study can be used for estimate the dynamic responses of bridge and vehicle due to dynamic interaction of bridge, vehicle and surface roughness, and with these results the dynamic increment factor of bridge can be obtained.
