초등학교 영어교과서 담화분석 : 담화표지 ‘Oh’를 중심으로

The purpose of this paper is to examine how the discourse marker ‘Oh’ is used in the elementary English textbooks to improve elementary students’ spoken language competences. In order to carry out this research, 14 english textbooks were selected for the discourse analysis. Wordsmith 6.0 and NLPtools corpus programs were used to analyze the textbooks. The discourse marker ‘oh’s in the textbooks were extracted and analyzed according to the usage of ‘oh’. As a result, the frequency of ‘oh’ is positively correlated with grade-level, except 6th grade. Also, the types of strategies associated with ‘oh’ in the textbooks were categorized. The result showed that the ‘oh’s as a sudden reaction to new or surprising information were most common. The ‘oh’s were used to indicate an upcoming emotional or evaluative utterance, as well as to maintain conversations. To the 6th grade textbook, it was used as a conventional use or avoidance tool. This paper has deep implications for applying gradation strategies of discourse marker ‘oh’ in elementary English textbooks as students advance their spoken language competences. Kohler's disease is an uncommon idiopathic osteochondrosis of the tarsal navicular. The diagnosis is clinical and the natural history is benign. The treatment is symptomatic, including shoe supports when the symptoms are mild and initial cast immobilization for at least 8 weeks when the symptoms are more intensive. The final clinical outcome is always favorable. Although it has been fully described both clinically and radiologically, There have been a few long-term follow-up reports in worldwide. This case report presents a Kohler's disease of the tarsal navicular with long-term follow-up of 12 years.
무지의 회내 변형을 동반한 무지 외반증에서 폐쇄적 회외감염 Akin 절골술의 효과

Purpose: We tried to understand the effects of the derotational closing wedge Akin osteotomy during the operation for the hallux valgus with pronation of great toe. Materials and Methods: Eighty five patients who had undergone Akin osteotomy among the eighty seven patients who had been treated with Scarf osteotomy with hallux valgus were included in this study. Derotational supination was added on the medial closing wedge Akin osteotomy at the base of proximal phalanx and it was secured with K-wire, headless screw or staple. We measured and analyzed pre- and post-operative hallux primus valgus angle and hallux pronational rotatory angle. Results: The hallux primus valgus angle improved an average of $14{\pm}2.98$ degrees to $-1{\pm}1.68$ degrees with the hallux pronational rotatory angle respectively from $24.8{\pm}7.64$ degrees to $4.7{\pm}4.22$ degrees. Conclusions: After the metatarsal osteotomy for the treatment of the hallux valgus with the pronation of great toe, derotational closing wedge Akin osteotomy can give us a belief that it can correct the hallux primus valgus angle and hallux pronational rotatory angle also and it can be a helpful method for minimizing the recurrence rate of the hallux valgus deformity.
방광암세포주의 항암제 반응에 대한 in vivo Hollow Fiber Assay

Purpose: The National Cancer Institute(NCI)'s Hollow Fiber Assay(HFA) is currently used as an in vivo screening model to quantitatively define anticancer activity. To investigate the use of HFA in a bladder cancer model, we conducted in vitro and in vivo experiments with several anticancer drugs in nude mice. Materials and Methods: The human bladder cancer cell lines(CRL2742, 253JP, SW1710, HTB9) were cultured both in vitro and in vivo in polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF) hollow fibers. The fibers were implanted intraperitoneally(ip) and subcutaneously(sc) into female athymic nude mice(C57BL/6), and the mice were then treated with gemcitabine 120 mg/kg(bolus), cisplatin(3mg/kg), paclitaxel(15mg/kg) or vehicle only (control) for 4-consecutive days. After 6 days, the fibers were retrieved and the viable cell density was analyzed by MTT assay. Results: The difference between in vitro and in vivo growth was not significant for the CRL2742, 253J-P and SW1710 cell lines; the difference between the ip and sc fibers was also not significant in the CRL2742, SW1710 and HTB9 cell lines. After drug treatment, the percent of growth inhibition revealed constant and effective anticancer activities for the 3 individual drugs. Conclusions: This study demonstrates the possibility of measuring and quantifying the anticancer effect with using in vivo hollow fiber assay in a bladder cancer model.
