        Genome-wide investigation of a Korean synthetic breed, Woori-Heukdon using the Illumina PorcineSNP60K BeadChip

        Background: Woori-Heukdon (KWH) is a Korean synthetic pig breed generated using Chookjin-Duroc (KCD), Chookjin-Chamdon (KCC), and their crossbreds. Currently, there is a severe lack of studies investigating the Korean breed populations including wild boars (KWB) throughout the genome. Objective: This study was performed to investigate the genetic characteristics of Korean pig populations at the genome-wide level. Methods: Using the SNP dataset derived from genotyped and downloaded datasets using the Illumina PorcineSNP60K BeadChip, we compared the genomes of 532 individuals derived from 23 pig breeds to assess the genetic diversity, inbreeding coefficient, genetic differentiation, and population structure. Results: KWB showed the lowest average expected heterozygosity (HE = 0.1904), while KWH showed the highest genetic diversity (HE = 0.02859) among Korean populations. We verified that the genetic composition of KWH, showing USD of 74.8% and KCC of 25.2% in ADMIXTURE analysis. In population structure analyses, KCC was consistently shown to be separated from other pig populations. In addition, we observed gene flow from Western pigs to a part of Chinese populations. Conclusion: This study showed that Korean native pigs, KCC have genetic differences in comparison with Chinese and Western pigs; despite some historical records and recent genetic studies, we could not find any clear evidence that KCC was significantly influenced by Chinese or Western breeds in this study. We also verified the theoretical genomic composition of KWH at the molecular level in structure analyses. To our knowledge, this is the first genomic study to investigate the genomic characteristics of KWH and KCC.

        한국인 직무 스트레스 측정도구의 개발 및 표준화

        Background and Purposes: Over the past three decades, numerous studies performed in Korea have reported that job stress is a determinant risk factor for chronic diseases and work disability. Every society has its own culture and occupational climate particular to their organizations, and hence experiences different occupational stress. An occupational stress measurement tool therefore needs to be developed to estimate it objectively. The purpose of this study is to develop and standardize the Korean Occupational Stress Scale (KOSS) which is considered to be unique and specific occupational stressors in Korean employees. Subjects and Methods: Data were obtained from the National Study for Development and Standardization of Occupational Stress (NSDSOS Project: 2002-2004). A total of 12,631 employees from a nationwide sample proportional to the Korean Standard Industrial Classification and the Korean Standard Occupational Classification were administered. The KOSS was developed for 2 years (2002-2004). In the first year, we collected 255 items from the most popular job stress measurement tools such as JCQ, ERI, NIOSH and OSI, and 44 items derived from the a qualitative study (depth interview). Forty-three items of KOSS, in the second year, were retained for use in the final version of the KOSS by using Delphi and factor analysis. Items were scored using conventional 1-2-3-4 Likert scores for the response categories. Results: We developed eight subscales by using factor analysis and validation process: physical environment (3 items), job demand (8 items), insufficient job control (5 items), interpersonal conflict (4 items), job insecurity (6 items), organizational system (7 items), lack of reward (6 items), and occupational climate (4 items). Together they explained 50.0% of total variance. Internal consistency alpha scores were ranged from 0.51 to 0.82. Twenty-four items of the short form of the KOSS (KOSS-SF) were also developed to estimate job stress in the work setting. Because the levels of the subscales of occupational stress were gender dependent, gender-specific standard norms for both the 43-item full version and the 24-item short form using a quartile for the subscales of KOSS were presented. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that KOSS might be an appropriate measurement scale to estimate occupational stress of Korean employees. Further and more detailed study needs to be conducted to improve the validity of this scale.

        진공플라즈마 용사법에 의한 Nickel Aluminides의 기계적 성질에 관한 연구

        Nickel aluminides are a family of materials which offer the potential of improved high temperature performance over conventional nickel based superalloys. The synthesized material has been characterized by x-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy and selected area image analysis. The mechanical properties of the Ni₃Al/NiAl alloy have been determined as a function of temperature through compressive and four point flexural tests. The lamellar aluminide provides synergistic properties of each of the monolithic aluminides resulting in appreciable room temperature tensile ductility, reasonable room and elevated temperature fracture toughness and higher compressive yield strength than those of obtained in monolithic NiAl.

      • 부산지역 매출액 상위기업의 위상과 변천사

        본 연구는 부산지역의 주요기업 변화를 살펴보기 위해 매출액 기준 전국 상위 1,000대 기업에 속하는 부산기업을 조사하여 비교분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과 2005년에 전국 1,000대 기업 중 46개 기업이 부산에 소재하였는데, 2019년에는 12 개가 줄어든 34개 기업만이 전국 1,000대 기업에 포함되었다. 또한, 전국 상위 1,000대 기업의 매출액 기준으로 부산지역 기업의 매출액 비중은 2005년 1.6%에서 2019년 1.4%로 줄어든 것으 로 나타났다. 이는 수도권 집중현상이 점차 강화되고 있기 때문이다. 한편, 부산지역 매출액 기준 상위 10대 기업은 많은 변화가 있었는데, 2005년 상위 10대 기업 중 2019년에도 상위 10대 기 업에 포함된 기업은 ㈜한진중공업, 르노삼성자동차(주), ㈜부산은행, ㈜서원유통 등 4개뿐인 것 으로 나타났다. 통계적 인과 관계는 확정할 수 없으나 지역 대기업의 쇠퇴 및 유출과 지역의 쇠퇴가 동시에 이루어지고 있어 지역 경제의 침체와 대기업의 쇠퇴 및 유출이 상당한 관계가 있음을 유추해 볼 수 있다. 특히 2011년 이후 지역 주력 제조업 기업들이 1000대 기업 진입에 실패하였다는 점을 주목해 볼 필요가 있다. 지역 제조업 대기업의 이탈 또는 쇠퇴는 지역 생산성 하락에 영향을 미 쳤을 가능성이 높고, 낮아진 지역 산업 생산성이 지역 경제성장률 둔화에도 영향을 미칠 가능성 이 있다. 따라서 지역의 경제활력 저하 문제를 제고하기 위해서는 지역 산업구조 개편 문제와 생 산성 향상 방안에 대한 고민이 필요하다.

        발열이 있는 호중구 감소증 환자에서의 위험도 예측인자

        Background: Most febrile neutropenic patients are treated in an aggressive manner. However, identification of low-risk patients may enable clinicians to administer risk-based treatment. The object of this study is to certify the factors associated with increased risk at the time of visiting the emergency department. Methods: This is a retrospective study. We reviewed the medical records of 101 febrile neutropenic patients who had visited the emergency department of Seoul National University Hospital from January 1998 to August 1999. We assumed 22 risk prediction factors that could be assessed at admission to the emergency department and 5 factors that could be assessed during treatment course. To find independent risk-prediction factors, we analyzed these factors respectively by using multiple regression analysis. Results: Tachycardia(aOR=136.5), altered mentality(aOR=28.8), decreased renal function(aOR=20.1), and significant comorbidity(aOR=17,2) are the independent factors associated with higher mortality. Altered mentality(aOR=31.6) and decreased renal function(CCr < 75㎖/min, aOR=5.4) are those associated with a higher incidence of septic shock. Independent factors associated with persistent(more than 3 days) fever are the early(within 10 days) onset of fever after last chemotherapy(aOR=8.8) and the existence of new pulmonary infiltrates on a simple chest X-ray(aOR=4.3). Conclusion: The stability of vital signs, the change of mentality, the renal function, the existence of significant comorbidity, the existence of new pulmonary infiltrates, and the rate of neutropenia are clinically useful risk-prediction factors in febrile neutropenia at the time of visiting the emergency department.

        The reaction of o-phenylenediamine 5 with acrylic acid 11 in the presencce of P₂O5+H₃PO₄afforded benzodiazepinone 13 and pyridobenzodiazepinono 17. The reactions of o-phenylenediamine 5 with acrylic acid 11 in the presence of PPA or SiO₂afforded only benzodiazepinone 13. But the reaction of O-phenylenediamine 5 with acrylic acid 11 in the presence of acetonedicarboxylic acid 18 or acetonedicarboxylic acid 18 and PPA or acetonedicarboxylic acid 18 and SiO₂was respectively synthesized 2,4,4,-trimethyI-3H-5-hydro-1.5-benzodi-azepine 23 as new cyclic imine compound. We propose that formation of 2-(2`-imine)propyI-N-isopropylidene aniline proceed though 2-amino, N-isopropylidene aniline intermediate C and 2-(N-a-methylethyI) amino, N-isopropylidene aniline intermediate G. The reaction of o-phenylenediamine 5 with acetonedicarboxylic acid 18 in the presence of PPA or SiO₂or HCI gave 2,4,4-trimethyI-3H-5-hydro-1,5-benzodiazepine 23. Using acetone 19 instead of acetonedicarboxylic acid 18, the reaction of o-phenylenediamine 5 in the presence of PPA or SiO₂or acrylic acid 11 was synthesized 2,4,4-trimethyI-3H-5-hydro-1,5-benzodiazepine 23 as same product. And also the reaction of o-phenylenediamine 5 with acetone 19 and acrylic 11 in the presence of PPA or SiO₂was obtained 2,4,4-trimethyI-3H-5-hydro-1,5-benzodiazepine 23. In case of acetophenone 21 in stead of acceton 19, the reaction of o-phenylenediamine 5 in presence of PPA or SiO₂at 40~45℃ were obtained 2,4-diphenyI-4methyI-3H-5-hydro-1,5-benzodiazepine 24. The reaction of o-phenylenediamine 5 with crotonic acid 25 in the presence of PPA or P₂O5+H₃PO₄or SiO₂at 100~110℃ afforded respectively 4-methybenzodiazepinone 26 as 1:1 cycloadduct.

        칸트철학에서 판단력의 문제

        칸트의 『순수이성비판』에 대한 이해에 있어서 "어떻게 선천적 종합판단이 가능한가?"라는 문제는 칸트철학 전체계에 대한 의문과 그 궤를 같이한다고 할 수 있다. 즉, 선천적 종합의 문제에 대한 이해가 관건이다. 본 논문은 순수이성비판 안에서 판단력에 대한 고찰이다. 칸트의 구분에 따라 판단력은 규정적 판단력과 반성적 판단력의 둘로 나뉠 수 있는데 여기에서 다루고자하는 것은 도식성을 매개로 하여 순수오성의 원칙들을 산출하는 과제를 지닌 선험적 요소로서의 규정적 판단력에 대한 내용이다. 순수이성비판의 '개념의 분석론'에서는 주로 권리의 문제로서의 범주의 연역에 관해 다루고 있으나 '원칙들의 분석론'에서는 앞서 도출된 범주들이 어떻게 직관과 관계를 갖는가에 대해서 다루고 있다. 이른바 '범주 아래로의 현상들을 포섭하는 작용'(die Subsumtion der Erscheinungen unter die Kategorie), 즉 '현상들에 대한 범주들의 적용'(die Anwendung der Kategorie auf Encheinungen)은 도식장이라 일컬어지는 부분에서 다루어진다. 지성적 종합과 구별되는 형상적 종합을 구성하는 생산적 구상력에 의해 도출되는 도식은 범주와 직관의 매개를 수행하게 된다. 도식장이 서술되는 부분이 순수이성비판에서 적은 부분에 그쳐서 연역의 부록 정도에 불과하다거나, 혹은 연역에서 이미 범주의 적용을 다루었다는 식으로 도식장의 기능에 대해서는 많은 논란이 있어 왔지만 범주의 선험적 연역이 수행하지 못한 동적인 역할을 수행하고 있다는 점에서 순수이성비판에서는 매우 중요한 부분 중의 하나라고 하겠다. The problem, which is faced with Kant in 'Critique of pure Reason', is contained in the question: "How are a priori synthetic judgments possible?" This question is a clue to understand Kant's 'Critique of pure Reason' and moreover whole Kant's philosophy. Thus, to understand synthetic a priori hold the key the question. In this treatise, I deal with the Judgment(Urteilskraft) in Critique of pure Reason. In his work Logik, Kant divide the Judgment into two; determining Judgment(bestimmende Urteilskraft) and reflective Judgment(reflektierende Urteilskraft). My interest in here is the former. And, in 'Critique of pure Reason', the schematism is related to Judgment. In order to pursue my study, I take good look at schematism. Schema serve as a medium of Anschauung with Kategorie. Many people criticize whether schematism is a supplement of deduction of kategory or not. But, if one understand schema's function, he will admit unique status of schematism. Consequently in my opinion, schematism is very important part of Kant's philosophy.

      • 비전시스템을 이용한 인간형 축구로봇에 관한 연구

        In this paper a humanoid soccer robot using vision system is presented. Soccer robot has 23 degrees of freedom and consists of various sensors such as IR and CCD camera, a remote controller and bluetooth module for the wireless telecommunication. We propose a soccer algorithm of humanoid robot in the various environments. The soccer algorithm is designed based on image processing and path planning. We verify our approach on a developed small humanoid robot in an experimental environment. The experimental result shows that the humanoid soccer robot plays soccer with a stable walking.

      • 레크레이션 스포츠가 폐경 후 여성의 골밀도에 미치는 영향

        The aim of this study is to clarify the mechanism of the correlation between physical activities and the BMD, and to prepare the data base for aged persons to choose their appropriated physical activities. For this study, we selected as subjects, 10 aged postmenopausal women(over 50 years old) who live in Dea-Jeon City and Choong-Nam Province and who have continously parcitipated in the recreational sports activities (gate-ball group and badminton group), and 5 aged women of the same region who ordinarily have no physical exercisers. We measured them by the trabecular parts with DPX of Lunar co. And the results gained through the measurement of L2-L4, and through he test by ANOVA & LSD about the correlation between the physical exercises and the BMD, and through the analysis of their correlations, are as follows; 1) The distribution of BMD was like this; the average BMD was 2.9882 g/cm², for the subjects, 88.65 for % young adult, and 96.8% for % age matched. On the distribution by BMD, was like this; 0.8g/cm²for the 86.7% of the subjects, and 86.7% of young adult was over 70% and 60% for the subjects over 90%. 2) For the BMD by age, we had no significant difference, for g/cm², % young adult, % age matched, between the group of under 59 ages old and the group of over 60 years old. 3) The correlation between the various factors and the BMD showed the significant difference when age and BMI of the subjects are on the p<0.05 level. 4) The result gained through the comparison of the two groups about the various factors showed no significant difference. Nevertheless, the gate-ball group showed 123.3% on the over 96%. 5) The BMD(% young adult) of each group, gate-ball group x Compared group, gateball x badminton group showed the significant difference on the p<0.05 level. 6) To know the correlation between the body length and the BMD, we devided the subjects into three ,groups; - under 150cm - from 150cm to 159cm - over 160cm and the result showed no significant difference. But we obtained high portion of 92.28% for the group under 159cm, and 110.50% in % age matched for the group over 159cm. 7) The examination of the correlation between the BMI and BMD brought no significant result. 8) The BMD concerning the body weight, examined on the three group(under 50kg, from 50kg to 59kg, over 60kg) showed no significance. But the portion gained from the group under 50kg marked 92.5%, and 97.1% over 50kg. 9) The BMD concerning the body muscle power showed no significance. But the portion of the gateball group and that of the badminton group(respectively 48.105, 45.80%) was higher than that of the comparative group(39.60%). 10) The results of verification on the BMD according to the period of menspause appeared meaningless differenciating its period like the following; more than 10 years and less than 10 years. The comparative group, however, indicated 97.33% at the period of less than 10 years, and 82.50% at the period of more than 10 years, while the gataball group highly indicated 102.33% at the end of less than 10 years and 117.00% at the end of more than 10 years. 11) The results of verification on the BMD of the activity group and non activity group appeared to be meaningless. But the gateball group who took part in such activities as walking, bending, streching gained the BMD at the highly degree of more than normal level(102.35 at the period of less than 10 years, and 11700% at the period of more than 10 years) 12) The results of verification on the BMD according to the amount of physical exercise appeared to be meaningless. But the percentage matched of the comparative group indicated 91.40% and that of the gateball group 108.25. The activity group represented the higher BMD level than the non-activity group. Synthesing such results, the activity group indicates the higher BMD level than the non-activity group, Especially the gateball group (A kind of field-sports requiring much amount of sunshine showed the higher BMD level than the Badminton group and the comparative group. So the regular and sustaining exercises with proper loading can be seen to play an important role for the health of the old people.
