The studies on the carried out to investigate the effects of co-culture with cumulus cells and oviduct epithelial cells on the in vitro fertilization and cleavage rate of bovine follicular oocytes, and to determine the optimum thawing temperature and equilibration time of frozen bovine embryos and on survival rate and in vitro developmental rate of bovine embryos. The ovaries were obtained from slaughtered Korean native cows. The follicular oocytes were cultured in TCM-199 medium containing 10 IU/㎖의 PMSG(Sigma, USA), 10 IU/㎖의 hCG, 1 ㎍/㎖의 β-estradiol(Sigma, USA) and 10% FCS(Sigma, USA) for 24-48 hrs in incubator with 5% CO_2 in air at 38.5℃ and then matured oocytes were again cultured for 12-18 hrs with motile capacitated sperm by preincubation of heparin. The bovine embryos following dehydration by cryoprotective agents and a various concentrations of sucrose were directly plunged into liquid nitrogen and thawed in 30℃ water. The results are summarized as followes : 1. The in vitro fertilization and in vitro developmental rates of bovine oocytes co-cultured with cumulus cells in TCM-199 media were 75.0%-76.8% and 17.3%-27.6%, respectively. And in-vitro fertilization rates of cumulus-enclosed oocytes(55.4%) were significantly(p<0.05) higher than cumulus-denuded oocytes(23.1%). 2. The in vitro fertilization and in vitro developmental rates of bovine oocytes co-cultured with 1 ×10^4 cells/㎖, 1 ×10^6 cells/㎖, 1 ×10^8 cells/㎖ and 1 ×10^15 cells/㎖ oviduct epithelial cells in TCM-199 media were 74.5%-77.8% and 15.7%-21.2%, respectively. 3. The in-vitro fertilization and in vitro developmental rates of bovine oocytes co-cultured in TCM-199 media containing PMSG, hCG, PMSG + hCG, PMSG + β-estradiol, hCG + β-estradiol 0 to 40 hrs after insemination were 74.0%-77.4% and 18.9% - 23.1, respectively. 4. The survival rates of bovine embryos thawed after rapid freezing in the media containing various kinds of cryoprotective agents added 0.25M and 0.50M sucrose were 14.7% - 35.1% and 17.6% - 31.6%, respectively. The survival rates of bovine embryos thawed after rapid freezing in the freezing media containing a various concentration of sucrose added 1.5M and 2.0M glycerol, 1.5M and 2.0M DMSO, and 1.5M and 2.0M propanediol were 23.5% -31.4% and 20.6% - 34.1%, respectively. 5. The temperature thawed at 30℃ after rapid freezing of bovine embryos resulted in a significantly higher embryos survival rate than did at 20℃ and 35℃. 6. The equilibration time on the survival rates of bovine embryos was attained after short period of time(2.5-5 min.) in the freezing medium higher than ling period of time(10-20min.).

We performed a variety of lymphocyte stimulation tests, delayed hypersensitivity skin tests, and enumeration of several lymphocyte subpopulations in 21 patients with gastric cancer who did not receive any form of anticancer therapy, and in 20 healthy controls. The gastric cancer patients had significantly decreased number and total score of positive reactions in delayed hypersensitivity skin tests compared with the healthy controls. The percent of CD_(4) positive lymphocytes in the gastric cancer patients was significantly decreased compared to the normal control subjects, but it had no correlation with the total score of delayed cutaneous hypersensitivity reactions. The ratio of helper to suppressor cells was lower in the cancer group. The uptake of 3H-thymidine was markedly depressed in cancer patients when stimulated with various mitogens. There was little correlation between any of the stimulation tests and any of the lymphocyte subpopulation proportions to delayed hypersensitivity cutaneous reactions. Optimal proliferative response was found in lymphocytes stimulated with 10 micrograms of concanavalin-A and 10 microgram of phytohemagglutinin. Advanced stage patients had greatly depressed delayed hypersensitivity skin reactions and proliferative responses to mitogens compared with localized diseases. These results suggest that gastric cancer patients have depressed cellular immune functions, which mainly result from the decreased helper cells and defects in functional proliferative response to mitogens. Interleukin-2 and interferon-gamma restored the in vitro proliferative response of lymphocyte in patients with gastric cancer.

방향성 및 동적정보를 이용한 능동적 CNS에 대한 연구

The shortest path search algorithm is the most important part in the CNS(Car Navigation System). Most of CNS use dijkstra of A algorithm for searching the path. But those algorithms spend many memory and time to search the path through the real digital map. So we propose an improved algorithm which apply the direction information and the dynamic information such as traffic jams, accidents and terrible weather. The proposed algorithm showed us it can reduce the search area, the number of search nodes and time to calculate. And the simulation system could be able to self-adjust the path immediately, when the dynamic informations reach to the system while the car driving.

오리알의 卵黃, 卵白 및 卵殼중 微量鑛物質의 含量分布에 관한 硏究

This study was to assayed 9 trace minerals of Ca, P, K, Na, Mg, Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn in duck's egg yolk, egg white and egg shell by with Inductively Coupled Argon Plasma(ICAP). The results summarized as follows: 1. The levels of Ca, P, K, Na, Mg in duck's egg yolk, egg white and egg shell were 747.9ppm, 2216.6ppm, 620.0ppm, 345.5ppm, 30.9ppm and 52.9ppm, 136.5ppm, 1127.2ppm, 1638ppm, 69.1ppm and 220ppm, 814.6ppm, 298.0ppm, 535.2ppm, 812.2ppm, 1447.8ppm, respectively. The levels of K and Na of duck's egg are the highest compared with that of another constituents in eggs. 2. The levels of Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn in duck's egg yolk, egg white and egg shell were 22.7ppm, 14.3ppm, 0.98ppm, 0.25ppm and 5.0ppm, 0.29ppm, 0.48ppm, 0.02ppm and 3.4ppm, 2.1ppm, 0.96ppm, 0.56ppm, respectively.

혐기성여상 반응조에서 여재 충진량이 미생물 유실에 미치는 영향

Sludge retention tests were conducted to crossflow filter media in an-hybrid reactors. Sections of this crossflow filter media were cut to fit a laboratory scale reactor. Five an-hybrid reactors with media volume to reactor volume of 0, 20, 40. 60 and 80% were run under various air flow and hydraulic retention time to estimate sludge retention. The result shows that the concentration of microorganism in effluent was generally higher in the reactor having lower media volume. And 40% media volume of total reactor volume in an-hybrid reactor was evaluated to be sufficient to prevent the wash-out of biological solids and thus to reduce start-up period of the an-hybrid reactor.

중·고등학생의 스트레스에 관한 연구

In modern society, stress is so widely experimenced that it seems to apply to every life situation. Stress means that the person is responding to stressors in a characteristic way. A stessor is anything that requires you to cope with or adapt to a situation. Physical stessors include all environmental stimuli. Psychosocial stessors include life-changing events, both desirable and undersirable. Among the most common kinds of stressor experienced by Middle school and High school students are those that involve pressure to achieve. On top of the demands of school are needs for parental approval and students' own high standards. Meeting these demands can lead to the satisfaction of achievement, but sometimes these demands arouse anxiety that can cause mental and physical harm. Accordingly, to effective stress management for Middle school and High school students, we need to recognize stress and to identify its source. In this study, the number of subjects were 534 Middle school and High school students who lived in Hayang-up Kyongsan-shi Kyongbuk and they were interviewed in 1 to 31 May, 1996. The data were analyzed by the statistical methods taking advantage of SAS. The result of this study as follows, 1. According to the stress questionnaire, high risk stress states were 13.3%, mild stress states were 62.2% and healthy states were 24.5%. 2. In reliability analysis, Cronbach ∝ coefficient is 0.87. Factor analysis reveals 7 principle factors that mostly explain 45 items. The first factor is physical and psychological stability, the second factor is the other sex friends relationship, the third is self-satisfaction, the forth is personal relationship, the fifth is family relationship, the sixth is school grade, the last is headache. 3. Among the family environmental characteristic variable, the sex, age, religion economy level, mother's occupation, mother's age, family number have turned out to be significant on the level of stress(P〈0.05).

철근콘크리트 短柱의 信賴性 解析

In this paper, reliability analysis of reinforced concrete short columns is performed. The concept of strength design method for the RC short columns of rectangular cross section in analysed, and the limit state function which is implicit in current code is used for the reliability analysis. The trial and adjustment method is used for the analysis of columns, and the second order second moment method is used for the reliability analysis. This study can be used in the reliability-based design of RC short columns.

진행된 만성간질환에서 Indocyanine Green을 이용한 간예비력의 평가

ICG(Indocyanine green) tests were examined for the patients with advanced chronic liver disease who were admitted to CNUH from April in 1989 to September in same year, and following results were got. 1. The levels of serum alkaline phospatase raise more prominently (93-274 U, reference: 26-88U) but the levels of ASP were 1-1.5× of normal upper limit(reference: 10-42 u) and the levels of ALT were within normal limit. 2. The results of oral glucose tolerance tests were incorrect in patients with liver cirrhosis due to glucose intolerant state and hyperglycemia of diabetes mellitus. 3. Classifications of Child and Tc-liver scintiscan were more helpful than routine liver function tests or oral glucose tolerance tests. 4. Maximal removal rates and retention rates of ICG were relatively correct.
