30세 이상 한국성인의 결혼상태와 채소섭취와의 연관성 분석: 2007~2010년 국민건강영양조사 자료를 이용하여

Purpose: The aim of this study was to examine associations between marital status and vegetable intake. Methods: Data were from participants 30 years and over (n = 18,190) in the 2007~2010 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Marital status was divided into three groups: married, never married, and separated/divorced/widowed. Vegetable intake was estimated from the twenty-four hour dietary recall. Data were analyzed using a chi-square test, analysis of covariance, least squares means, and logistic regression. Results: Married respondents tend to consume more vegetables, including kimchi, than all other marital status groups. Vegetable intake, excluding kimchi, was lowest among 30~64 yearold respondents who had never married. Elderly men (65 years and older) who were never married/separated/divorced/ widowed had significantly lower vegetable intake than elderly men who were married (p = 0.0008). When considering the Korean dietary reference intake (KDRIs), elderly men who were never married/separated/divorced/widowed, compared with elderly men who were married, had a significantly higher odds ratio for consuming fewer vegetables than the KDRIs (OR = 1.64, 95% CI: 1.13~2.37). Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that marital status might influence vegetable intake and the probability of consuming fewer vegetables than the KDRIs. In particular, being never married/separated/divorced/ widowed might adversely affect vegetable consumption among elderly men, although assessing the causal effect of marital status from this cross-sectional study is difficult. 본 연구는 30세 이상 한국성인의 결혼상태와 채소섭취와의 연관성을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2007~2010 년 국민건강영양조사 자료를 이용하여 조사 참가자의 성별, 연령대별 채소섭취량을 비교하고, 채소를 권장섭취횟수보다 부족하게 섭취할 위험도를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 결혼상태에 따라 성별, 연령대별 채소섭취량에 차이가 있었다. 남녀 모두 유배우자 동거 집단의 김치를 포함한 채소섭취량이 결혼한 적 없는 집단과 별거/이혼/사별 집단과 비교해 가장 높았다. 김치를 포함한 채소를 권장섭취횟수보다 적게 섭취할 위험도는 유배우자 동거집단에 비해 결혼한 적 없거나 별거/이혼/사별인 경우 높아지는 경향을 보였다. 65세 이상 남자의 경우 결혼한 적 없음/별거/이혼/사별집단은 유배우자 동거 집단과 비교해 채소섭취량이 낮았으며, 채소를 권장섭취횟수보다 적게 섭취할 위험도는 높았다. 결혼상태와 채소섭취량의 관계를 명확히 파악하기위해서는 결혼상태와 식생활의 변화를 함께 조사할 수 있는 코호트 연구가 수행돼야 한다. 또한 결혼상태의 지속기간, 결혼상태의 만족도 등 결혼상태를 다양하게 파악할 수있는 정보와 함께, 식생활 상태를 평가할 수 있는 자료를수집해야 한다.

Residential treatment centers (RTCs) are successful in isolating and closely monitoring adults confirmed with coronavirus disease2019 (COVID-19), but there are concerns for children who need care. This study was conducted as a retrospective analysis ofthe surveillance of guardians who entered an RTC with infected pediatric patients to identify the secondary attack rate of COVID-19 to close contacts in a single RTC and to provide directions for developing guidelines for caregivers who co-isolate with infectedchildren. When caregivers were admitted to this RTC, aside from negative confirmation before discharge, tests were additionallyperformed one or two times. There were 57 index children and adolescent patients who entered the RTC with theirparents as caregivers. The secondary attack rate by pediatric patients to close contacts outside their households was 25% (95%confidence interval, 10.0 to 40.0) (8 out of 32 contacts). The transmissibility of SARS-CoV-2 in children was close to zero at 6 daysafter the confirmation tests. It is reasonable to test the close contacts of pediatric patients after 7 days of isolation to identify infectionsamong caregivers.

Purpose We aimed to assess the humoral response to and reactogenicity of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination according to the vaccine type and to analyze factors associated with immunogenicity in actively treated solid cancer patients (CPs). Materials and Methods Prospective cohorts of CPs, undergoing anticancer treatment, and healthcare workers (HCWs) were established. The participants had no history of previous COVID-19 and received either mRNA-based or adenovirus vector–based (AdV) vaccines as the primary series. Blood samples were collected before the first vaccination and after 2 weeks for each dose vaccination. Spike-specific binding antibodies (bAbs) in all participants and neutralizing antibodies (nAbs) against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) wild-type, Delta, and Omicron variants in CPs were analyzed and presented as the geometric mean titer. Results Age-matched 20 HCWs and 118 CPs were included in the analysis. The bAb seroconversion rate and antibody concentrations after the first vaccination were significantly lower in CPs than in HCWs. After the third vaccination, antibody levels in CPs with a primary series of AdV were comparable to those in HCWs, but nAb titers against the Omicron variant did not quantitatively increase in CPs with AdV vaccine as the primary series. The incidence and severity of adverse reactions post-vaccination were similar between CPs and HCWs. Conclusion CPs displayed delayed humoral immune response after SARS-CoV-2 vaccination. The booster dose elicited comparable bAb concentrations between CPs and HCWs, regardless of the primary vaccine type. Neutralization against the Omicron variant was not robustly elicited following the booster dose in some CPs, implying the need for additional interventions to protect them from COVID-19.
