This research has been performed to evaluate the stoichiometric relationship between removed COD and nitrogen or phosphorus. A modified A²/O process, which was equipped with an external nitrification tank and a switching reactor, was operated with a capacity of 50㎥/d. From the results, it has been concluded that the stoichiometric values were varied by temperature condition or input COD loads. In case of denitirfication, the requirement g COD for removed nitrate nitrogen ranged 0.13 to 10.5g, and the compensation coefficient of temperature was evaluated as 1.028. For phosphorus removal, the required COD was about 7.5gCOD_(consumed)/gP_(released) and 0.54gPHACOD_(storage)/gP_(uptake). During rainy season, as it appeared a lower organic substrate loads, the PHA(Poly Hydroxy Alkanoate) contents of biomass was reduced. From the relationship between influent BOD, and the sum of removed TN and TP, the ratio for rainy and winter season was about 4.8 and 5.8g BOD/g (TN+TP) each others. Therefor, the substrat ratios for nitrogen and phosphorus removal appeared to be affected by temperature and influent organic substrate loads.

The speech includes various kinds of information : language information, speaker's information, affectivity, hygienic condition, utterance environment etc. when a person communicates with others. All technologies to utilize in real life processing this speech are called the speech technology. The speech technology contains speaker's information that among them and it includes a speech which is known as a speaker recognition. DTW(Dynamic Time Warping) is the speaker recognition technology that seeks the pattern of standard speech signal and the similarity degree in an inputted speech signal using dynamic programming. In this study, using TMS320C32 DSP processor, we are to embody this DTW and to construct a security system.

1995년 Hyogoken-Nanbu 지진은 RC 지중 지하철 구조물에 지난 과거 전혀 경험치 못했던 심각한 피해를 일으켰다. 이같은 지진피해의 정확한 평가를 위하여, 주파수영역상에서의 지반-구조물 상호작용효과를 고려한 지하 구조물에 대한 선형지진응답해석이 수행되어왔으나, 보다 정확한 지진피해를 예측하기 위해서는 시간영역상에서 지반과 구조물의 이력감쇠와 강성변화를 고려한 비선형지진응답해석을 수행하는 것이 반드시 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 지반-구조물 상호작용을 고려한 비선형 지진응답해석을 시간영역상에서 수행하기 위하여 주파수영역상에서 지반-구조물 상호작용효과를 고려하기위해 개발된 KIESSI-2D와 유한요소 범용해석프로그램 ANSYS를 연계한 복합법을 사용하여 Hyogoken-Nanbu 지진시 피해가 많았던 고베의 가미사와 지하철역을 대상으로 비선형 지진응답해석을 수행하고 실제 발생한 피해상황과 비교 ·분석하였다. 해석시 등가 선형화기법에 근거한 대표적인 자유장 해석프로그램인 SHAKE를 사용하여 지반의 비선형성을 고려하였고, 콘크리트의 비선형성을 고려하기위해서 Hognestad 모델을 사용하였다. 해석결과 실제 발생한 중간기둥의 전단파괴를 매우 유사하게 예측할 수 있음을 보여주었다. During the 1995 Hyogoken-Nanbu earthquake, underground RC structures experienced significant damages which had never been experienced before. To evaluate these damages, a linear earthquake response analysis in frequency domain has often been used. For more accurate evaluation of the damages, however, a nonlinear earthquake response analysis in time domain must be employed by incorporating she continuous change of stiffness and hysteresis damping of soil-structure interaction systems. In this study, a hybrid method which combines a soil-structure interaction program, KIESSI-2D with a general purpose FEM package, ANSYS is developed to perform nonlinear earthquake response analysis of soil-structure interaction in time domain. As a verification of the hybrid method, nonlinear earthquake response analyses are performed on the Kamisawa subway station which was damaged severely during the Kobe earthquake and analytical results are compared with the real damages. In order to consider the nonlinearity of soil, SHAKE program is used, whereas Hognestad model is used to consider the nonlinearity of concrete. It is shown that the analytical prediction agrees fairly well with the actual damages which were caused by the shear failure of the center column of the station.
미세 골절 진달을 위한 초음파 C-scan의 활용 가능성

The study examines the medical potential of an ultrasonic C-scanning technique and for diagnosis of the fatigue induced micro-fractures of the bone. In general, it is not easy to detect the microfracture by a simple radiological technique. In the study, the microfractures were made on the tibia taken from pigs using a three point bending. Comparison was made between the ultrasonic C-scan images (25 MHz) and X-ray images of the bones with the micro-fractures, It was found that the micro-fractures invisible on the X-ray images were observed on the ultrasonic images. It is proposed further in-vitro and in-vivo studies making the ultrasonic C-scan technique clinically useful for the diagnosis of the fatigued induced micro-fractures of the bone which are not possible to detect by the conventional radiological method.

Objectives : This study aims to estimate the prevalence of the DSM-IV psychiatric disorders in Korean population using the Korean version of Composite International Diagnostic Interview (K-CIDI). Methods : Subjects were selected by taking multi-stage, cluster samples of 7,867 adult household residents, 18 to 64 years of age, in ten catchment areas. Total 78 trained interviewers administered the K-CIDI to the selected respondents, from June 1 to November30,2001. Results : Total 6,275 respondents completed the interview. Some 33.5% of respondents reported at least one lifetime disorder, 20.6% reported at least one-year disorder, and 16.7% reported at least one-month disorder. The most common lifetime disorders were alcohol abuse/dependence (17.24%), nicotine dependence/withdrawal (11.19%), specific phobia (5.16%), and major de-pressive disorder (4.25%). The lifetime prevalence of substance abuse/dependence (0.25%) and schizophrenia (0.16%) was very low. Nicotine and alcohol use disorder showed very high male/female ratio. Mood disorder and anxiety disorder were more prevalent among female than male. Conclusion : The prevalence of psychiatric disorders was high. In comparison with other studies, remarkable differences in distributions of psychiatric disorders across the areas and times were observed.

<P>CYP2C19 loss-of-function (LOF) alleles adversely affect clinical outcome of clopidogrel therapy. Recent introduction of a newer-generation drug-eluting stent (DES) has significantly reduced the occurrence of stent thrombosis.The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of CYP2C19 LOF alleles on clinical outcome in patients treated with the newer-generation DES.The effects of CYP2C19 genotypes were evaluated on clinical outcome of clopidogrel therapy in 2062 patients treated with percutaneous coronary intervention using either first-generation DES (sirolimus- and paclitaxel-eluting stent, n = 1349) or newer-generation DES (everolimus- and zotarolimus-eluting stent, n = 713). The primary clinical outcome was major cardiac and cerebrovascular event (MACCE) including cardiac death, nonfatal myocardial infarction, stroke, and stent thrombosis during 1 year of follow-up.CYP2C19 LOF alleles were significantly associated with a higher risk of MACCE in patients treated with first-generation DES (hazard ratio [HR] 2.599, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.047-6.453; P = 0.034). In contrast, CYP2C19 LOF alleles were not associated with primary outcome in newer-generation DES (HR 0.716, 95% CI 0.316-1.622; P = 0.522). In the further multivariate analysis, CYP2C19 LOF alleles were not associated with MACCE in patients receiving newer-generation DES (adjusted HR 0.540, 95% CI 0.226-1.291; P = 0.166), whereas they were demonstrated to be an independent risk factor for MACCE in those implanted with first-generation DES (adjusted HR 3.501, 95% CI 1.194-10.262; P = 0.022).In contradiction to their clinical impact in first-generation DES era, CYP2C19 LOF alleles may not affect clinical outcome of clopidogrel therapy in patients treated with newer-generation DES.</P>
