        Operational Characteristics of the FCL Using the Mechanical Contact in the Power System

        These days, SFCLs are being developed in order to limit fault current. However, the superconducting elements that limit the fault current have such problems as capacity increase and require auxiliary devices including cooling device. If devices that comprise the current power network can withstand fault current for at least one cycle, it is possible to limit the fault current with current limiting elements by bypassing it on the fault line. In this study, the fault current limiter was configured with current transformer, vacuum interrupter, and current limiting element. Through the experience, it was confirmed that the fault current was limited within one cycle. The superconducting element, as a current limiting element, limited the fault current by 80 % within one cycle from fault occurrence, and the passive element limited it more than 95 %. Also, through the comparison between resistance curve and power consumption curve, it was confirmed that the current limiting element using a passive element was more stable than the superconducting element that required capacity increase and other auxiliary devices. It was considered that the FCL proposed in this study could limit fault current stably within one cycle from fault occurrence by using the existing power technologies such as fault current detection and solenoid valve operating circuit.

        Transient Characteristics of a Transformer Type SFCL Applying the Superconductor and the Normal-conductor into the Secondary Winding

        This paper proposed the structure that applied superconductors to the neutral line of a transformer and applied the normal conductors to the third line. The superconductor applied to the neutral line of a transformer limited the peak value of initial fault current, while the normal conductor finally limited the fault current. In order to secure the operating reliability of transformer type Superconducting Fault Current Limiter (SFCL) of previously proposed structure, we analyzed the operating characteristics according to the fault types. We tested a line-to-ground fault and a line-to-line fault. As a result of the experiment, all the faults showed that the superconductor stably limited the peak-value of initial fault current. Also, the normal conductor finally limited the fault current. Based on this research results, We thought that if the structure of inserting superconductor into the neutral line is applied to the real system, it could improve the reliability and stability of the power system.

        정신분열병에 대한 리스페리돈의 효과 및 안정성

        연구목적 : 본 시험의 목적은 임상시험 시작전에 연구자들을 대상으로 PANSS Workshop을 통하여 PANSS, ESRS에 대한 국내에서의 표준화 작업을 구축하고 새로운 정신병 치료제인 리스페리돈의 효과와 안정성을 재확인하여 리스페리돈 사용에 대한 적정화를 이루는데 있다. 연구방법 : 1996년 4월부터 1996년 9월까지 국내 39개 대학병원 정신과에 입원중인 혹은 증상이 악화되어 입원하는 정신분열병 환자 377명을 대상으로 다시설 개방 연구를 시행하였다. 1주일간의 약물 배설기간을 가진후, 리스페리돈을 8주간 투여하였고, 기준점, 1주, 2주, 4주, 그리고 8주후에 평가되었다. 용량은 제1일에는 리스페리돈 1mg씩 1일 2회, 제2일에는 2mg씩 1일 2회, 제3∼7일에는 3mg씩 1일 2회 투여하였다. 이후 환자의 임상상태에 따라 임의로 증량할 수 있으며, 최대 일일 16mg을 초과하지 않도록 하였다. 추체외로 증상을 조절하기 위한 투약을 허용하였다. 임상증상 및 부작용의 평가는 PANSS(Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale), CGI(Clinical Global Impression) 그리고 ESRS(Extrapyramidal Symptom Rating Scale)을 사용하였다. 연구결과 : 377명중 343명(91%)이 8주간의 연구를 완결하였다. 치료 종결시점인 8주후 PANSS 총점수가 20% 이상 호전된 경우를 약물 반응군으로 정의할때, 약물반응군은 81.3%였다. 리스페리돈에 반응하는 예측인자로는 발병연령, 이전의 입원 횟수, 유병기간이 관련 있었다. 리스페리돈은 1주후부터 PANSS양성, 음성, 및 일반정신병리 점수상에 유의한 호전을 보여 효과가 빨랐다. CGI의 경우도 기준점에 비해 1주후부터 유의한 감소를 나타내었다. ESRS의 경우, 파킨슨 평가점수는 기준점과 비교해 투여 1주, 2주, 4주후 유의하게 증가되었다가 8주후 기준점과 차이가 없었다. Dystonia 평가점수는 1주후만 유의한 증가를 보였으며, dyskinesia 평가점수는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 혈압, 맥박수의 생명징후 및 일반 혈액학 검사, 생화학적 검사, 심전도 검사에서 유의한 변화는 없었다. 결 론 : 이상의 다시설 개방 임상 연구를 통해 리스페리돈은 정신분열병 환자에서 양성증상뿐만 아니라 음성증상 및 전반적인 증상에도 효과적인 것으로 사료된다. 보다 명확한 평가를 위해서는 다른 항정신병약물과의 이중맹검 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각되며, 또한 장기적 치료에 대한 평가도 함께 이루어져야 하겠다. Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate the efficacy and safety of risperidone in the treatment of Korean schizophrenic patients. Method : This multicenter open study included 377 schizophrenic patients drawn from 39 university hospitals. After a wash-out period of 1 week, the schizophrenic patients were treated with risperidone for 8 weeks and evaluated at 5 points ; at baseline, and 1, 2, 4 and 8 weeks of treatment. The dose was increased from 2mg/day(1mg twice daily) to 6mg/day(3mg twice daily) during the first week and adjusted to a maximum of 16mg/day over the next 7 weeks according to the patient's clinical response. Medication to control extrapyramidal symptoms was permitted. The psychiatric and neurological status of the patients was assessed by PANSS, CGI, and ESRS scales. Results : 343(91%) of 377 patients completed the 8-week trial period. Clinical improvement, as defined by a 20% or more reduction in total PANSS score at end point, was shown by 81.3% of patients. The predictors of response to risperidone were associated older age, shorter duration of illness, fewer previous hospitalization. Risperidone had rapid onset of action ; a significant decrease of the total PANSS and three PANSS factor(positive, negative, general), and CGI was already noticed at the end of first week. For the ESRS, parkinsonism rating scores were significantly increased until week 4 comparing with baseline. Dystonia rating scores were significantly increased until week 1, and dyskinesia rating scores were not significantly changed during the study. Laboratory parameters including vital sign, EKG, hematological, and biochemical values showed no significant changes during the trial. Conclusions : This study suggests that risperidone is generally safe and effective against both the positive and negative symptoms in our group of patients.

        [논문]보육교사의 보육컨설팅에 대한 인식, 요구도 및 활성화 방안

        The purpose of this study was to examine the awareness of childcare teachers on childcare consulting, their needs for that and ways of revitalizing childcare consulting in a bid to lend professional assistance to childcare centers in terms of how to boost the quality of childcare. And it's also meant to provide some information on how to improve childcare consulting both in theory and practice. The subjects in this study were 200 childcare teachers in the city of Busan. The findings of the study were as follows: First, as a result of analyzing their awareness of childcare consulting, 147 respondents (87.5%) considered that to be necessary or very necessary. As for the reason for the necessity of childcare consulting, the biggest group that numbered 62 responded (42.2%) that it would be necessary to pinpoint and resolve problems. Concerning the reason why it's not necessary, the largest group that numbered four answered (19.1%) that there was no problem about which childcare consulting would be required. Second, as a result of checking their needs for childcare consulting, the biggest group that numbered 35 asked (20.8%) for education about accreditation indicators in terms of the content of childcare consulting. Regarding childcare consultants, the biggest group that numbered 55 preferred (32.7%) professional assistants, lecturers and professional personnels of childcare centers. Concerning the term of childcare consulting, the largest group that numbered 71 considered (42.3%) it advisable to receive this consulting for less than a week. As to the time for childcare consulting, the biggest group that numbered 58 answered (34.5%) that it should be provided at the request of accredited childcare centers. Third, as a result of analyzing their opinions on how to revitalize childcare consulting, the biggest group that numbered 128 felt (76.2%) the need for a separate consulting institution. The largest group that numbered 30 thought (23.4%) that the Ministry of Health and Welfare should be responsible for that, and the greatest group that numbered 76 thought (45.2%) that the top priority for childcare consulting would be to secure professional childcare consultants. 본 연구는 보육교사의 보육컨설팅에 대한 인식과 요구도 및 활성화 방안을 확인하여 어린이집의 개별적인 질적 수준 관리 및 지속적인 질 향상에 전문적이고 체계적인 도움을 제공하고, 향후 보육컨설팅의 개념적․실제적 측면을 보완하는 데 기초자료로 활용하는 것에 연구의 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 부산광역시에서 근무하는 보육교사 200명을 연구대상으로 선정하였고, 회수된 설문지 중 총 168부를 최종 분석대상으로 선정하였다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 보육컨설팅에 대한 인식을 살펴본 결과 보육컨설팅이 ‘필요하다’와 ‘매우 필요하다’가 총 147명(87.5%)으로 높게 나타났고, 필요한 이유로는 ‘문제진단 및 현안해결’이 62명(42.2%), 불필요한 이유는 ‘보육컨설팅을 필요로 하는 문제가 없기 때문에’가 4명(19.1%)으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 보육컨설팅에 대한 요구도를 살펴본 결과 보육컨설팅 내용에 서는 ‘평가인증 지표 교육’이 35명(20.8%), 대상은 ‘조력전문가, 강의, 센터전문요원’이 55명(32.7%), 보육 컨설팅 실시기간은 ‘1주일 미만’이 71명(42.3%), 보육컨설팅 실시 시기는 ‘평가인증을 통과한 어린이집의 요청 시’가 58명(34.5%), 보육컨설팅 지도방법은 ‘원장, 교사 상호작용 및 의견 교환’이 69명(41.1%)으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 보육컨설팅에 대한 활성화 방안을 살펴본 결과 전담기관의 필요성은 ‘필요하다’가 128명(76.2%), 전담부서는 ‘보건복지부’가 30명(23.4%), 보육컨설팅 활성화를 위해 가장 필요한 과제는 ‘전문성을 갖춘 보육컨설턴트의 확보’가 76명(45.2%)으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 끝으로 본 연구에 서는 보육교사의 보육컨설팅에 대한 인식과 요구도 그리고 활성화 방안을 토대로 중요성과 필요성을 논의하였다.

      • 울산·부산·경남 광역경제권 형성과 울산-부산간 경량전철 도입의 필요성 : 산업구조적 측면을 중심으로 Centering on the Aspect of Industrial Structure

        본 연구에서는 산업구조적인 측면에서 서울·수도권의 대칭되는 개념으로 부산을 축으로 하는 울산·부산·경남 광역경제권 형성을 모색하고, 또 이를 원활히 추진하기 위한 울산-부산간 도시 경량전철 구축의 필요성에 대해 분석·검토하였다. 울산, 부산, 경남은 산업구조적인 측면에서 상호 보완적 관계를 구축해 나가는 것이 울산· 부산 경남 광역경제권 발전에 큰 도움이 되며, 아울러 울산 부산·경남 광역경제권 형성을 보다 원활히 추진하기 위해서는 첨단산업과 함께 금융 및 보험업, 사업서비스업의 육성·발전이 매우 시급하다. 현재 부산과 울산간에는 인적·물적 교류 네트워크가 제대로 갖추어지지 못하고 있다. 따라서 울산과 부산간에 광역전철망을 구축하여 광역권내 생산기능과 서비스산업간의 연계관계를 구축함으로써 상호발전이 가능하도록 해야 한다. 이를 위해서는 전략산업 선정과 지원정책도 광역경제적인 차원에서 이루어져야 한다. 행정구역별로 전략산업을 선정하기보다는 광역권적인 차원에서 전략산업을 선정하고 광역경제권내의 지역별로 혁신자원을 분담하고 연계체계를 구축해 나가는 것이다. 이 경우 행정 구역별로 교육, 연구개발, 환경, 주택 등 지식기반 산업 육성에 필요한 사회기반에 각각 투자하는 중복투자의 문제가 사라지고 지역간 소모적인 경쟁도 배제할 수 있는 이점이 있다. 향후 울산·부산 경남 광역경제권이 효과적으로 추진되기 위해서는 먼저 이에 대한 심도있는 이론적·실증적 연구가 수반되어야 한다. 즉 광역경제권의 경제적 편익이 참여지역 모두에게 더 높은 이익을 가져다 주는 윈- 윈 게임이라는 점에 대한 객관적 연구를 통하여 정책담당자들의 인식전환이 이루어질 필요가 있다. 울산·부산·경남 광역경제권 형성을 위한 울산-부산간 경량전철을 성공적으로 도입하기 위해서는 무엇보다도 선행되어야 하는 것은 첫째, 공공서비스로서의 타당성과 효율성이 제고되어야 하며 지역경제여건을 고려하여 면밀한 경제분석이 이루어져야 한다. 둘째, 지방자치단체의 자율적 도시철도 투자재원 확보 노력이 필요하다. 셋째, 도시철도에 대한 국고지원 방식의 개선이 이루어져야 한다. 넷째, 일본의 경우에서 보듯이 민자유치를 통한 경량 전철 건설사업의 활성화가 필요하다. 다섯째, 도시철도망 확충을 위한 건설주체의 정비가 필요하다. 여섯째, 도시철도와 버스를 통합하는 대중교통정책이 적극 추진되어야 한다 Seeking for building Ulsan, Busan, KyongNam Great- Sphere Economic Zone that stems Busan as a symmetrical idea of Seoul's, capital area in aspect of industrial structure, is evaluated in this study. Also, the construction of the city LRT between Ulsan- Busan is necessary for the smooth commencement of the project. Ulsan, Busan, and KyongNam, should mutually build a complementary relationship in view of industrial structure, which will greatly facilitate the development of Ulsan, Busan, KyongNam Great- Sphere Economic Zone. In addition, the formation to pursue Ulsan, Busan, KyongNam Great- Sphere Economic Zone will increase and develop the finance, insurance, and service business along the with high technology industry. Presently, human and material resource interchange network between Busan and Ulsan is not well organized. So, mutual development must be made possible by building a mutual relation between the production function and service industry within the Great-Sphere Zone by constructing a integrated rail transit network between Ulsan and Busan. The selection of strategic industries and support plans must be implemented within the view of the Great-Sphere Economic support. Strategic industries in view of Great-Sphere Selection should be the basis of selection instead of administrative areas. Additionally, reform resource should be distributed by region within the Great-Sphere Economic Zone as well as building a connection system. In this case, duplicate investments should be allocated in social base necessities to enhance the knowledge base industries such as education, research and development, environment, housing, and others by each administration. Eventally, it will lead to the prevention of exhaustive competition. First of all, profound theoretical and positive studies must be performed to effectively pursuit Ulsan, Busan, and KyongNam Great- Sphere Economic Zone. Furthermore, the Perception of the person in charge of the plan must change to an objective study on the point of a 'win- win game' that economic advantage brings higher gains to everyone in the participating area. The following must be proceeded to successfully bring Ulsan- Busan Light Rail Transit to promote Ulsan, Busan, and KyongNam Great-Sphere Economic Zone. First, adequacy and efficiency of public services must be considered and detailed economic analysis must be performed with consideration of the local economic conditions. Second, effort to secure autonomic city rail investment resource of local self-governing body is necessary. Third, the governing support method of city rail must be improved. Fourth, as seen in the case of Japan, Light Rail Transit construction project through private fund needs to be activated. Fifth, it is necessary to maintain a main construction body to expand the city rail network. Sixth, public transportation policy to combine city rail and bus must be positively promoted.

The purpose of this paper is to analvze the Japan's experience with rural industrial development. This study under takes to examine some aspects of socio-economic transformations in the promotion of a rural industrialization. While must of the discussion is concerned specifically with the Japanse situation, the analytical arguments are quite helpful to apply to the rural industrializion in Korea.

      • 韓國의 動物標本保存 現況과 問題에 關한 豫備 調査

        To determine the present state of animal collections in scope, nature and accessibility a questionnaire was designed and mailed to 85 university or college departments and systematics-related institutes of the country. From 35 answers returned it has been revealed that major number of respondents maintained each about 3000 specimens(7 departments), and 300 species(11 departments), housed spaces of 50㎡ approximately(13 departments). Seven of the respondents were revealed not to keep more than 1000 specimens and five were without any space for collection, of less than 33㎡ if any. Size and type of the collections were outlined as: invertebrates, 1,550,000 individuals in total, including 1,250,000 insects in 10 collections, one of them preserving 16,000 species approximately; vertebrates of 15,700 specimens, with fishes comprising the majority by 13,400, including one of the collections with 300 species. Cataloguing of the specimens were not performed but in 15 places, in which only two were employing computerized systems. The collection were used, in addition, for both graduate and undergraduate courses ranging over 20 titles of subjects throughout the country, including mostly Animal Systematics and Lab Work as required one. Utilizations of the specimens were also made for in-serve training, as reference specimens for identification service and for exchange program with institutes either domestic or overseas(11 departments). Major problems and ideas proposed by the respondents concerning the serious situations as revealed in this survey as well as for developing systematic studies in the country ranged from adequate funding for providing curatorial capabilities, training manpower in animal systematics in higher education and systematics institutes, establishing certain mechanism for communication and cooperation in systematics community, and setting up a national funding program for undertaking a faunal survey of the country and related programs, comparable either to the Biological Survey of Canada or the Biological Survey of the United States, which would ensure the solution of the ancillary problems explored in the present investigation. Moreover, the lack of a central depository of type specimens in the country as well as the abrupt suspension in the current year of the program supporting the publication of "Illustrated Flora and Fauna of Korea "by the Ministry of Education were pointed as matter of grave concern by the systematists.

      • 연작업자들에서의 δ -aminolevulinic acid dehydratase 유전형질의 다형성이 신기능에 미치는 영향

        δ-aminolevulinic acid hehydratase (ALAD) is a polymorphic enzyme that has two alleles, ALAD1 (ALAD1-1 as phenotype) and ALAD2 (ALAD1-2 or ALAD2-2 as phenotype). ALAD genotype has been reported to modify the toxicokinetics of lead. To investigate the influence of ALAD genotype polymorphism on renal function in lead workers, author studied 1022 male lead workers and 149 non lead workers in the same industries. For the cross-sectional renal function indices, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), serum creatinine, uric acid and total protein were selected. Blood lead and blood zinc protoporphyrin were also measured as indices of lead exposure. Information on weight, age, job duration, smoking & drinking history were collected. Following results are as follows: 1. Whereas the mean (standard deviation) of blood lead and blood ZPP of lead workers were 27.2±12.5 ㎍/㎗ and 57.7±37.8 ㎍/㎗, those of non-lead workers in the same premises were 14.9±6.5 ㎍/㎗ and 44.6± 15.8 ㎍/㎗ respectively. The difference of mean blood lead and blood ZPP between two groups were statistically significant. 2. Whereas the prevalence of the variant allele, ALAD2 in 1022 lead workers was 10.2 %, the prevalence of that in 149 non-lead workers was 7.4 %. But there was no difference of prevalence between two groups. 3. The mean±standard deviation of blood lead of subjects with ALAD1 was 25.5± 12.7 ㎍/㎗ and was slightly lower than that of subjects with ALAD2 (26.5±10.9 ㎍/㎗), and the mean±standard deviation of blood ZPP of subjects with ALAD1 was slightly higher than that of subjects with ALAD2 (56.7±37.3 ㎍/㎗ vs 48.9±18.6 ㎍/㎗). But the differences of blood lead and blood ZPP between two genotypes were not statistically significant. 4. There were no differences of cross-sectional renal function indices (BUN, serum creatinine, uric acid and total protein) either by lead workers and non-lead workers or two genotypes. 5. In multiple regression analysis of ALAD genotype on BUN after controlling for possible confounders (sex, weight, job duration, smoking and drinking status), the mean of BUN in ALAD2 subjects was 0.629 ㎎/㎗ lower than ALAD1 subjects with a weak statistical significance (p=0.07). But in logistic analysis of ALAD genotype on median value of BUN revcaled that subjects of ALAD2 genotype were 32% less likely to have median value or more of BUN than subjects of ALAD1 with odd ratio of 0.618 (95% confidence interval 0.411-0.920). 6. In multiple regression analysis of ALAD genotype on serum creatinine after controlling for possible confounders (sex, weight, job duration, smoking and drinking status), the mean of serum creatinine in ALAD2 subjects was 0.0271 ㎎/㎗ lower than ALAD1 subjects with statistical significance (p=0.02). On the other hand, in logistic analysis of ALAD genotype on median value of serum creatinine revealed that subjects of ALAD2 genotype were 30% less likely to have median value or more of scrum creatinine than subjects of ALAD1 with odd ratio of 0.700 (95% confidence interval 0.442-1.080). With the above results, it was found that the variant allcle, ALAD2 appeared to modify the association of lead and renal function and ALAD2 genotype may be supportive for the protective effect of lead.
