크롬(Ⅵ)의 체내 흡수와 소실속도에 관한 연구

The CrO3 mostly used in plating. metal surface disposal, leather, cosmetic manufacturing, as an experiment material by repeatedly inhaling and exposure the male S.D. rats at a 0.00, 0.2., 0.50, 1.25 mg/㎡ concentration(particle size: 0.5-0.5 aerosol)6hours a day, 5day a week in 13weeks comparing with 2weeks, 8weeks of recovery group about the noxiousness of the experiment animal and the reduce scale of the CrO3 in the internal organ especially in blook and respiratory organ with the period of convalescent and clearance. The experiment results which we received are as follows. 1. In blood the RBC, HGB and HCT experiment, rats with 0.20, 0.50 mg/㎡ concentration showed that there were some decreases but not dependent. The kidneys absolute weight compared with control group was reduced intentionally(p〈0.05) and the lungs absolute weight compared with control group showed intentional increase(p〉0.05). 2. After the exposure of the experiment material, the whole blook, l\blood plasma and red blood cell in blood by (x): the period of convalescent, per (y); the decreasing of Cr concentration, was y=66.51 e -0.057x, y=67.2 e-0.101x, y=70.01 e-0.030 in 0.50 mg/㎡ exposure concentration by calculating the clearance coefficient of correlation, and the half life (day)was estimated 12.0, 6086, 23.0 each. 3, After the exposure of the experiment material, the experiment animals lung, liver and kidneys by(x); the period of convalescent, per (y); the decreasing of Cr conentration, was y=1808 e-0.00493x, y=12.02e-0.0297x, y=67.61 e-0.0292x in 0.50mg/㎡ exposure concentration by calculating the clearance coefficient of correlation, and the half life(day)was estimated 140.6, 23.3, 23.7, each, and including lung, liver with all of the experiment internal organs, the Cr clearance decreased as the exposure concentration increased.

서울의 Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae 발생빈도(1998)

In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae(PPNG), we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by menas of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. In 1998, 93 strians of N. genorrhoeae were isolated, among which 60(64.5%) were PPNG. The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 64.5% in 1998.

Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been panedemic and remains one of the most commom STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Methods: For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results: In 1996, 139 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 53(39.0%) were PPNG. Conclusion: Our results suggests that after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is gradually declining.

천연 Gum의 생체적합성에 대한 연구

Natural gum films were prepared by solution blending method in the weight ratio of natural gums(Xanthan, Locust bean and Guar) for the purpose of useful bio-compatibility materials. The possibility of bio-compatibility materials, which prepared from natural gums as a skin substitute of rats were evaluated by measuring biodegradability. This biodegradable films were inserted in the back of rats and their of biodegradability were investigated by hematological change evaluation as a function of time to the bio-transformation. These values of bio-compatibility materials films, which prepared from natural gums measured in this study were some stable results at short period with those of ideal skin with bio-compatibility materials.

중심 정맥 삽관법에 의한 동정맥루: 증례 및 문헌 고찰

A 36-year old woman with end stage renal failure and hypertension was transferred from a university hospital to our emergency department due to a enlarging right cervical mass associated with a palpable thrill and a bruit. Over a 2 month period, she required hemodialysis for severe azotemia at a university hospital in Seoul. 3 days after a difficult attempt at a internal jugular cannulation, she developed a progressive swelling in the right lower cervical area. An arch and primary branch arteriogram revealed a arteriovenous fistula between right innominate artery and internal jugular vein with a large intervening pseudoaneurysm. She underwent vascular surgery within 1 week of injury and subsequent postoperative angiogram showed complete resolution of the fistula. This rare condition is reported with a review of the literature.

이단계 혐기성/호기성 반응기를 이용한 Reactive Blue 114의 생분해

난분해성 안트라퀴논계 염료인 Reactive Blue 114를 이단계 혐기성/호기성 반응기를 이용하여 분해하고자 하였다. 혐기성 반응기로 Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) 반응기를 이용하였고, 호기성 반응기로는 전통적인 활성슬러지조를 사용하였다. 혐기성 UASB 반응기는 2개월 동안 염료를 투입하지 않고 start-up 과정을 거친 후 염료를 투입하여 염료 농도의 영향과 수리학적 체류시간(HRT)의 영향을 조사하였다. 염료 제거율은 염료농도가 증가하거나 HRT가 감소할수록 감소하였다. 혐기성 UASB 반응기로 측정한 최대 염료제거속도는 52 mg/L · day이었다. 1차 혐기성 처리수를 호기성 반응기를 이용하여 처리하였을 때 색도 기준으로 염료 제거는 관찰되지 않았다. HPLC를 이용하여 1차 혐기성 처리수를 분석하였을 때 Reactive Blue 114의 중간 분해 산물이 확인되었고, 이들 물질은 2차 호기성 처리시 제거되었다. Biodegradatiorn of C. I. (Color Index) Reactive Blue 114 was investigated by using continuous two stage reactor anaerobic/aerobic reactors. An Upflow Anaerovbic Sludge Blanket (UASB) and conventional activated sludge reactor were used as an anaerobic and aerobic reactors, respectively. During the start-up operation for 2 months, UASB reactor was operated without dye and then fed with a subtoxic concentration (5 mg/L) of Reactive Blue 114. After reaching a steady state, the effect of dye concentration and hydraulic retention time (HRT) were studied. With increasing dye concentration and decreasing HRT, dye removal efficiency decreased. The highest removal rate of the Reactive Blue 114 obtained was 52 mg/L · day. In the aerobic reactor, color removal was not observed regardless of the operating conditions. The degradation intermediates of Reactive Blue 114 were analyzed by HPLC. Some intermediates were detected from the effluent of UASB, and they were apparently degraded further by the aerobic process.

The principle of dietary modification in the diabetes is controling total calorie control, and take orderly meals, and should restrict ingestion of the saturated fat acid, and the simple sugar, and by taking green yellow veritable, seaweed, and fruit as sufficiency and take care of the ingestion of vitamin "B" type which would expedite metabolism, and it is better way to avoid the ingestion the salty food and alcoholic beverages. General exercise guidance will vecommend to take precedence over the medical diagnosis and an case history test before exercise begins, and the beginning of exercise, it start with light exercise, and gradually enhause intensity. Actual exercise program, will elevate an lungs function by the oxygenic exercise, and it is desirable exercise items that can consumable proper energy, and suitable for doing proper exercise by doing walk, stroll, jogging, go up &own the stairs, swimming, badminton, and mountain climbing etc. Exercise intensity is suitable with 30~65 of Vo<아래첨자>2</아래첨자> max, and actual exercise intensity decision is preferable for criterion of subjective symptoms, such as, a condition of sweating brow, sweating on the clothes, and the breathing is hard condition. The exercise intensity may be changeable according to the, pattern of diabetes, in case of pattern Ⅰ, the first step is 30% of Vo<아래첨자>2</아래첨자> max and about 10minutes; the second step is 40% of Vo<아래첨자>2</아래첨자> max and about 20 minutes; the third step is 40% of Vo<아래첨자>2</아래첨자> max and about 30 minutes; the fourth step is 50% of Vo<아래첨자>2 </아래첨자>max and about 30 minutes, and in case of pattern Ⅱ, it perform the first step is 40% of Vo<아래첨자>2</아래첨자> max and about 30 minutes, the second step is 50% of Vo<아래첨자>2</아래첨자> max and about 40 minutes, the third step is 65% of Vo<아래첨자>2</아래첨자> max and about 60 minutes, and the duration time per each step is about one week and both Ⅰ and Ⅱ type together, it is desirable to perform 5~7days. Above duration of exercise and its frequency determination will determine by the relation with the exercise intensity. Take snack that contains carbohydrate during exercise, and will discontinue the exercise when insuline activity is reach on high peak, and it is proper way taking 15~20g’s carbohydrate contained food against possibility of the low blood sugar occurrence after exercise. At last, it is much effective the exercise therapy is combined with the diet therapy for best diabetes treatment.

ELISA 방법에 의한 홍색비유황광합성세균의 Lipopolysaccharides 사이의 혈청학적 유연관계

홍색비유황광합성균의 lipopolysaccharide에 대한 혈청학적유연관계가 enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay 방법에 의해 조사되어졌다. Rhodobacter capsulatus는 Rhodopseudomonas palustris, Rhodobacter sphaeroides와 혈청학적 유연관계가 있는 것으로 나타났고, Rhodopseudomonas palustris는 Rhodopseudomonas viridis와 유연관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. Rhodospirillum rubrum과 Rhodocyclus tenuis는 어느 종과도 혈청학적 유연관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. The serological relationships among lipopolysaccharides from purple nonsulfur photosynthetic bacteria, 4 genera, 11 species, was investigated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Rhodobacter capsulatus showed serological relationship with Rhodopseudomonas palustris and Rhodobacter sphaeroides. Rhodopseudomonas palustris showed serological relationship with Rhodopseudomonas viridis but Rhodospirillum rubrum and Rhodocyclus tenuis didn't show serological relationship with other species.

자기공명영상을 이용한 정신분열병 환자의 뇌량크기 측정

Objectives : Nowadays many studies with MRI have reported structurai abnormalltles of corpus callosum of schizophrenic patients. However, the results are various and inconstant. In this study, we attempted to identify structural change of C O ~ U S cailosurn. Method : We measured the size of corpus callosum of the 24 schizophrenia patients (male 11, female 18) who were diagnosed by DSM-IV (19943, visited at department of psychiatry, catholic university hospital of Daegu from January 2002 to December 2003, by using midline sagittal slice of MRI. These results were compared with the size of corpus callosum of 25 controls (male 7, female 78). We divided corpus callosurn into 7 areas. We calculated and compared the areas of each subregion, mid-sagittal cerebral area, and entire corpus callosum. The results were analyzed by independent t-test. Result :When we compared subregion to corpus callosum adjusted wth mid-sagittal cerebral area, schlzoph-renia patients had significantly smaller genu (1.64k0.32 vs. 1.43k0.26 p<O.O5) and splenium (2.16f0.27 VS. 1.96+0.30 ; ~(0.05). Similarly, the ratio of total corpus callosum to midline sagittal cerebral area (%)(7.50*0.72 vs. 6.90t0.82 ~(0.05) was significantly smaller In schizophrenia than control group. Conclusion : In this study, we found significant differences in corpus callosum between schizophrenic patients and normal control group.
