이진트리 비 균일 필터뱅크를 이용한 잡음감소기법 및 구현

In de-noising, it is wellknown that wavelet-thresholding algorithm shows near-optimal performances in the minimax sense. However, the wavelet-thresholding algorithm is difficult in realization it on hardware, such as FPGA, because of wavelet function complexity. In this paper, we present a new de-noising technique with the binary tree structured filter bank, which is based on the signal power ratio of each subbands to the total signal power. And we realize it on FPGA. For simple realization, the filter banks are designed by Hadamard transform coefficients. The simulation and hardware experimental results show that the performance of the proposed method is similar with that of soft thresholding de-noising algorithm based on wavelets, nevertheless it is simple. 잠음감소에 있어서 웨이브렛 임계처리 알고리즘은 미니맥스 관점에서 거의 최적의 성능을 보이는 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 웨이브렛 임계처리 알고리즘은 웨이브렛 함수의 복잡성으로 인해 FPGA와 같은 하드웨어 상에 구현이 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 이진트리 구조 필터뱅크에서 전체 신호전력에 대한 각 부밴드 신호 전력비에 기반한 새로운 잡음감소 기법을 제안한다. 그리고 이 기법을 FPGA 상에 구현한다. 간단한 구현을 위해 필터뱅크는 하다마드 변환 계수로 설계된다. 시뮬레이션과 하드웨어 실험결과 제안방법이 간단하지만 웨이브렛에 기반한 소프트 임계처리 잡음감소 알고리즘과 성능이 유사함을 보인다.
Oxidative stress and apoptosis induced by ZnO nanoparticles in HaCaT cells

Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles (NPs) are used in the cosmetic industry in cosmetics and sunscreen. ZnO NPs have been reported to elicit various adverse cellular effects, including cytotoxicity. However,the underlying mechanisms of these adverse effects have not been fully characterized. To investigate the potential of cytotoxicity induced by ZnO NPs,we evaluated cytosolic reactive oxygen species levels in human keratinocyte HaCaT cells treated with ZnO NPs having different surface charges and particle sizes. A short period of treatment (30 min) with 100 nm ZnO NPs resulted in a greater increase of cytosolic ROS levels, compared to treatment with 20 nm ZnO NPs at the same concentration. During a long period of treatment (24 h) with ZnO NPs, intracellular ROS was increased in cells treated with 20 μg/mL 20 nm (+/-)charged ZnO. No significant difference according to differences in surface charge was observed. In addition,total levels of caspase-7 and PARP were decreased by ZnO NPs. These results demonstrated that ZnO NPs could induce ROS mediated apoptosis.

Background: Data illustrating the impact of atopic dermatitis (AD) on lives of adults withAD in South Korea are limited. Objective: To assess the AD disease severity and its impact on quality of life (QoL) in patientswith AD from South Korea. Methods: Patients with AD utilizing the specialist dermatology services of major hospitals inSouth Korea were assessed for disease severity using Eczema Area and Severity Index (EASI)score, for QoL using Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) (for QoL), and for comorbiditiesand treatment experience via retrospective review of 12-month medical records. Clinical andsociodemographic characteristics were also measured. Results: Of the 1,163 patients, 695 (59.8%) were men (mean age [years]±standard devia-tion: 31.6±12.1). Overall, 52.9% (n=615) patients had moderate-to-severe disease (EASI>7). The QoL of 72.3% (n=840) patients was affected moderately-to-severely (DLQI score: 6~30). Systemic immunosuppressants were used ≥1 over past 12 months in 51.9% (n=603) patients,and the most commonly used were cyclosporines (45.7%, n=531) and systemic corticosteroids(40.5%, n=471). Approximately, 10.8% (n=126) patients consulted or received treatment forAD-related eye problem. Of these, 40% (n=50) patients reported poor, very poor, or complete-ly blind status; approximately, 16.7% patients (n=192) reported having depression or anxiety;and 35.5% (n=410) reported suicidal ideation or suicidal attempt. Conclusion: A large proportion of patients had moderate-to-severe AD, a compromisedQoL, and ocular or mental health comorbidities, indicating a high disease burden despite sys-temic treatment. These findings highlight the importance of a holistic approach for the evalu-ation and treatment of patients with AD.

본 연구의 목적은 한성준에 의해 장홍심으로 전수된 바라승무가 전통무용으로서의 역사적 의의와 예술적 독창성 을 지니고 있음에도 불구하고 현재에 이르기까지 자세한 연구가 이루어지지 않았던 바 바라승무의 유래와 춤사 위 분석을 통한 특징을 기술하여 남기고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 한성준류 승무는 북으로 마무리하는 승무와 바라 로 마무리 하는 승무의 두 가지로 계승되어 왔으며 한성준에 의해 장홍심으로 전수된 바라승무가 여타의 보편적 으로 추어지는 승무와 가장 다른 특징은 승무의 장삼자락 춤사위 과장후 북으로 마무리 하지 않고 바라를 들고 바라춤을 추어 마무리 한다는 것이다. 장홍심류 바라승무가 비록 문화재로 지정 받지는 못했어도 본 연구를 기점 으로 많은 연구가 이루어져 그 가치를 인정하고 또 후세에 널리 보급하여야 할 것이다.

Ocular flutter is a relatively rare eye movement disorder that refers to occasional bursts of involuntary horizontal oscillation around the point of fixation, characterized by rapid, repetitive, horizontal, symmetrical and sinusoidal oscillation without inter- saccadic interval. It is known to be associated with disorders of the cerebellum and brainstem resulting from various pathological conditions, but it's anatomical and pathophysiological basis remains unclear. Here, we present the case of a patient who had severe ocular flutter associated with Merkel cell carcinoma.

A side mirror is an important safety tool with which the driver can observe objects out of sight. This paper presents an organized design technology for the side mirror of improved vibration characteristics. Resonance response to forced vibration is critical to observability through the mirror to be designed. This study aims at the reduction of vibration level by the modification of mirror structures and consequent effects are predicted by computer simulations. We used a three-dimensional solid modeling and the modal and frequency analysis ; Pro/Engineer is used as a solid modeler; Pro/Mechanica for vibration analysis. The simulation results are compared with those obtained in experiemnts to check the validity by the three-dimensional modeling. The design technique of side mirror has been established and found to be effective in vibration analysis of redesigned parts.

Introduction: Distant metastases of mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC) are reportedwith the most common sites being the soft tissue of skin, lung, liver, and bone. Wereport here a very rare case of MEC with multiple metastases to the kidney, adrenalgland, skull and gluteus maximus muscle. Case report: A 63-year-old male patient presented with left-sided headache. Radiologic evaluations including CT and MRI showed ill-defined soft tissue lesioninvolving the left infratemporal fossa and left sphenoid sinus, and multiple enlargedlymph nodes in neck and mediastinum. PET-CT demonstrated multiple hypermetaboliclesions in and around the left kidney, left adrenal gland, right ischium, right gluteusmaximus and skull base. These lesions were confirmed as MEC with multiplemetastases through biopsy. Discussion: Only one case of metastasis to the skull has been previously reported,and moreover, there has not been a case of metastatic MEC to the kidney, adrenalgland and gluteus maximus muscle so far in the medical literature. It is important toacknowledge the possibility of every unusual MEC metastases, since the presence ofmetastasis has statistically significant influence on the survival of MEC.
