        We have investigated the distribution of bacteria in kimbab and its materials. The total bactria counts were over 3×10 exp(6)/g(n=30) when the kimbabs were delivered to restaurant and it exceeded the prieliminary legal level 1 × 10 exp(6)/g even though it should be negative for coliforms. In order to look into the cause of bacterial contamination in kimbabs, we examined the content materials of kimbabs. The bacterial counts were founded 10^4-10^8/g for Kim, 10^4-10^8/g for sausage, 10^4-10^6/g for spinach, 10^3-10^7/g for carrot, and 10^3-10^6/g for danmugi, respectively. From these results it could be concluded that the bacterial contamination in Kimbabs are due to kim, spinach, carrot, and sausage. Therefore, so as to reduce the bacterial contamination for kimbab, the sanitary manufacture and storage of kim and the refrigeration of content materials should be went abreast.

        두개골의 3차원 영상 분석을 위한 전산화단층촬영 방법의 비교 : 상층 두께가 3차원 영상의 계측에 미치는 영향

        Purpose : To evaluate the quantitative accuracy of three-dimensional (3D) images by means of comparing distance measurements on the 3D images with direct measurements of dry human skull according to slice thickness and scanning modes. Materials and Mathods : An observer directly measured the distance of 21 line items between 12 orthodontic landmarks on the skull surface using a digital vernier caliper and each was repeated five times. The dry human skull was scanned with a Helical CT with various slice thickness (3, 5, 7 mm) and acquisition modes (Conventional and Helical). The same observer measured corresponding distance of the same items on reconstructed 3D images with the internal program of V-works 4.0 (Cybermed Inc., Seoul, Korea). The quantitative accuracy of distance measurements were statistically evaluated with Wilcoxons’ two-sample test. Results : 11 line items in Conventional 3 mm, 8 in Helical 3mm, 11 in Conventional 5 mm, 10 in Helical 5 mm, 5 in Conventional 7 mm and 9 in Helical 7 mm showed no statistically significant difference. Average difference between direct measurements and measurements on 3D CT images was within 2 mm in 19 line items of Conventional 3 mm, 20 of Helical 3 mm, 15 of Conventional 5 mm, 18 of Helical 5 mm, 11 of Conventional 7mm and 16 of Helical 7 mm. Conclusion : Considering image quality and patient’s exposure time, scanning protocol of Helical 5 mm is recommended for 3D image analysis of the skull in CT.

        SrCI_2:Eu^2+ 형광체의 광발광 및 광자극발광 특성

        고상반응법으로 SrCl_2:Eu^2+ 형광체를 제작하고, 제작한 형광체의 광자극발광과 광발광 특성을 조사하였다. SrCl_2:Eu^2+ 형광체와 광발광 및 광자극발광은 Eu^2+ 의 5d->4f 천이에 기인되었으며, 355 nm의 광으로 여기시켰을 때 광자극발광과 광발광 스펙트럼의 파장범위는 모두 380~440nm이었고, 피이크 파장은 407nm이었다. SrCl_2:Eu^2+형광체의 선량의존성은 2.5 mGy~200mGy영역에서 우수한 선형성을 나타내었으며, 상온에서 광자극발광의 fading은 20분에 60%이었다. SrCl_2:Eu^2+ phosphors were prepared by the solid phase reaction method, and their photostimulated luminescence(PSL) and photoluminescence(PL) characteristics were investigated. The PSL and PL peak of the SrCl_2:Eu^2+ phosphors are due to the 5d->4f transition of Eu^2+ ions in phosphors. The PSL and PL spectrum obtained by the 355 nm exitation was observed in 380~440 nm region with the peak at 407 nm. The dose response of the PSL phosphors were linear within 2.5 mGy ~ 200 mGy of 100kV X-ray. The fading of the phosphors at room temperature was approximately 60% after 20 min.

        정신분열병에 대한 리스페리돈의 효과 및 안정성

        연구목적 : 본 시험의 목적은 임상시험 시작전에 연구자들을 대상으로 PANSS Workshop을 통하여 PANSS, ESRS에 대한 국내에서의 표준화 작업을 구축하고 새로운 정신병 치료제인 리스페리돈의 효과와 안정성을 재확인하여 리스페리돈 사용에 대한 적정화를 이루는데 있다. 연구방법 : 1996년 4월부터 1996년 9월까지 국내 39개 대학병원 정신과에 입원중인 혹은 증상이 악화되어 입원하는 정신분열병 환자 377명을 대상으로 다시설 개방 연구를 시행하였다. 1주일간의 약물 배설기간을 가진후, 리스페리돈을 8주간 투여하였고, 기준점, 1주, 2주, 4주, 그리고 8주후에 평가되었다. 용량은 제1일에는 리스페리돈 1mg씩 1일 2회, 제2일에는 2mg씩 1일 2회, 제3∼7일에는 3mg씩 1일 2회 투여하였다. 이후 환자의 임상상태에 따라 임의로 증량할 수 있으며, 최대 일일 16mg을 초과하지 않도록 하였다. 추체외로 증상을 조절하기 위한 투약을 허용하였다. 임상증상 및 부작용의 평가는 PANSS(Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale), CGI(Clinical Global Impression) 그리고 ESRS(Extrapyramidal Symptom Rating Scale)을 사용하였다. 연구결과 : 377명중 343명(91%)이 8주간의 연구를 완결하였다. 치료 종결시점인 8주후 PANSS 총점수가 20% 이상 호전된 경우를 약물 반응군으로 정의할때, 약물반응군은 81.3%였다. 리스페리돈에 반응하는 예측인자로는 발병연령, 이전의 입원 횟수, 유병기간이 관련 있었다. 리스페리돈은 1주후부터 PANSS양성, 음성, 및 일반정신병리 점수상에 유의한 호전을 보여 효과가 빨랐다. CGI의 경우도 기준점에 비해 1주후부터 유의한 감소를 나타내었다. ESRS의 경우, 파킨슨 평가점수는 기준점과 비교해 투여 1주, 2주, 4주후 유의하게 증가되었다가 8주후 기준점과 차이가 없었다. Dystonia 평가점수는 1주후만 유의한 증가를 보였으며, dyskinesia 평가점수는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 혈압, 맥박수의 생명징후 및 일반 혈액학 검사, 생화학적 검사, 심전도 검사에서 유의한 변화는 없었다. 결 론 : 이상의 다시설 개방 임상 연구를 통해 리스페리돈은 정신분열병 환자에서 양성증상뿐만 아니라 음성증상 및 전반적인 증상에도 효과적인 것으로 사료된다. 보다 명확한 평가를 위해서는 다른 항정신병약물과의 이중맹검 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각되며, 또한 장기적 치료에 대한 평가도 함께 이루어져야 하겠다. Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate the efficacy and safety of risperidone in the treatment of Korean schizophrenic patients. Method : This multicenter open study included 377 schizophrenic patients drawn from 39 university hospitals. After a wash-out period of 1 week, the schizophrenic patients were treated with risperidone for 8 weeks and evaluated at 5 points ; at baseline, and 1, 2, 4 and 8 weeks of treatment. The dose was increased from 2mg/day(1mg twice daily) to 6mg/day(3mg twice daily) during the first week and adjusted to a maximum of 16mg/day over the next 7 weeks according to the patient's clinical response. Medication to control extrapyramidal symptoms was permitted. The psychiatric and neurological status of the patients was assessed by PANSS, CGI, and ESRS scales. Results : 343(91%) of 377 patients completed the 8-week trial period. Clinical improvement, as defined by a 20% or more reduction in total PANSS score at end point, was shown by 81.3% of patients. The predictors of response to risperidone were associated older age, shorter duration of illness, fewer previous hospitalization. Risperidone had rapid onset of action ; a significant decrease of the total PANSS and three PANSS factor(positive, negative, general), and CGI was already noticed at the end of first week. For the ESRS, parkinsonism rating scores were significantly increased until week 4 comparing with baseline. Dystonia rating scores were significantly increased until week 1, and dyskinesia rating scores were not significantly changed during the study. Laboratory parameters including vital sign, EKG, hematological, and biochemical values showed no significant changes during the trial. Conclusions : This study suggests that risperidone is generally safe and effective against both the positive and negative symptoms in our group of patients.

        BaFBr:Eu^2+ 형광체의 열발광 및 광자극발광 특성

        BaFBr:Eu^2+ 형광체를 제조하고, 이 형광체의 열발광 특성과 광자극발광 특성을 조사하였다. 이 형광체의 열발광 g1ow 피이크 온도는 352K와 448K였으며, 주 피이크(352K)에 관여하는 트랩의 활성화에너지는 약 0.96eV이었다. 또한 이 형광체의 광자극발광 스펙트럼의 파장범위는 350~450nm 사이였으며, 광자극발광에 기여하는 트랩의 활성화에너지는 약 0.98eV이었다. 열발광트랩과 광자극발광 트랩의 활성화에너지는 실험오차 내에서 일치하였다. BaFBr:Eu^2+ phosphors were prepared, and the thermoluminescence(TL) and photostimulatedluminescence(PSL) of the prepared phosphors were measured. Two glow peaks around 352 and 448 K are observed for x-ray irradiated BaFBr:Eu^2+ phosphors, and the activation energy of the main glow peak(352 K) was about 0.96 eV. The spectral range of the PSL was 350 ~450 nm, and the activation energy of the trap giving rise to PSL was about 0.98 eV. The activation energy of the traps giving rise to TL is agreed to those giving rise to PSL within experimental error.

      • 乳兒의 분변중 Bifidobacterium의 分布

        This study was carried out to know the difference and characteristics of intestinal microflora of breast and bottle fed infants and to obtain the information of Bifidobacterium. The results obtained are as follows; 1. In case of breast-fed infant feces, total cell count was 5.2 x 10 exp(10)/g, pH was 4.8-5.0 and water content was 67.24%. In case of bottle fed infants, total cell count was 4.4 x 10 exp(10)/g and pH was 6.4 - 6.8 and water content was 55.98%. 2. As a result of investigation of infant feces, the distribution of Bifidobacterium, Bacteroidaceae, Enterobacteria, Clostridium perfringens, Staphylococcus, Yeast, Streptococcus, Veionella, and Lactobacillus was obtained. 3. The predominant organism in the feces of breast-fed infants was Bifidobacterium, averaging about 10^10/g. Though Bifidobacterium was also predominant in bottlefed infants, Bacteroidaceae, Clostridium et al were higher than that of breast-fed infants. 4. B. breve, B. liverorum and B. adolescentis were identified from breast-fed infants, and B. longum, B. liverorum, B. breve and B. adolescentis were identified from bottle-fed infants.

      • 가상현실 기술을 활용한 중학교 과학 1 '지각의 물질' 단원의 수준별 WBI 개발

        우리는 7차 교육과정 중학교 과학 1'지각의 물질' 단원에 대한 가상현실 기술을 활용한 수준별 WBI를 개발하였다. 개발 결과는 인터넷에서 708명의 학습자들에게 투입되어 그 반응이 조사되었다. 학습 목표, 수업 설계, 화면의 구성, 이용의 편의성 등에 대한 응답결과는 80% 이상이 긍정적이었다. 따라서 본 프로그램은 사이버 학습에 활용할 수 있는 가치가 있다고 판단된다. We developed the WBI learning programs considered learner levels for the unit of the Earth crust materials of secondary school science 1 using virtual reality technique. The developed program has been evaluated with questionarie to 708 students after learning on the Web. The answer showed about 80% affirmatively. Therefore, this program will be able to use in cyber science 1 learning situation.

      • 만성폐쇄성 폐질환 환자에서 적혈구 항산화효소의 변화

        Toxic oxygen free radicals have been implicated as important pathologic mediators in many clinical disordesrs. Enhandng the intracellular content of antioxidant enzymes can provide means of limiting biological damage caused by oxygen free radicals. Many investigations have examined the potential of various oxyradical scavengers to modulate oxyradical injury. The oxygen free radicals play a role in the pathogenesis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. To investigate the pulmonary oxyradical injury and the protective role of antioxidant enzymes, author measured the amount of thiobarbituric acid reactants, the activiteies of antioxidant enzymes (superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase, and catalase) and the sulfhydryl groups in serum and red blood cells from the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease groups and the normal controls. The thiobarbituric acid reactant in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease groups was increased than the controls in both serum and red blood cells, and the superoxide dismutase activity in red blood cells was no statistically difference in both groups. But, the glutathione peroxidase and catalase activities were lowered in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease groups than the controls. The sulfhydryl groups in serum and red blood cells were no statistically difference in both groups. These results suggest that the increased thiobarbituric acid reactant in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease groups mean oxygen radical toxicity, and the decreased glutathione peroxidase and catalase activities may play a role in cellular injury.

        복합 산화법과 MEMS 기술을 이용한 RF용 두꺼운 산화막 에어 브리지 및 공면 전송선의 제조

        본 논문에서는 양극반응과 복합 산화법( H_2O/O_2 분위기에서 500℃, 1시간 열산화와 1050℃, 2분간 RTO(Rapid Thermal Oxidation) 공정)을 이용한 두꺼운 OPSL(Oxidized Porous Silicon Layer)을 형성하여 이를 마이크로머시닝 기술을 이용함으로써 10 ㎛두께의 OPS(Oxidized Porous Silicon) 에어 브리지를 제조하고, 그 위에 전송선로를 형성하여 그 RF 특성을 조사하였다. OPS 에어 브리지 위에 형성된 CPW(Coplanar Waveguide)의 손실이 OPSL 위에 형성된 전송선의 삽입손실보다 약 2 dB 정도 적은 것을 보여주었으며, 반사손실은 OPSL 위에 형성된 전송선의 반사손실보다 적으며 약 -20 dB를 넘지 않고 있다. 본 연구에서 개발한 산화된 다공질실리콘 멤브레인 및 에어 브리지 구조는 CMOS 공정 후에 사용 가능하며, 초고주파 회로 설계시 편리성과 유용성을 제시하고 있다. This paper proposes a 10 ㎛ thick oxide air-bridge structure which can be used as a substrate for RF circuits. The structure was fabricated by anodic reaction, complex oxidation and micromachining technology using TMAH etching. High quality films were obtained by combining low temperature thermal oxidation (500 ℃,1 hr at H_2O/O_2) and rapid thermal oxidation (RTO) process (1050 ℃, 2min). This structure is mechanically stable because of thick oxide layer up to 10 ㎛ and is expected to solve the problem of high dielectric loss of silicon substrate in RF region. The properties of the transmission line formed on the oxidized porous silicon (OPS) air-bridge were investigated and compared with those of the transmission line formed on the OPS layers. The insertion loss of coplanar waveguide (CPW) on OPS air-bridge was (about 2 dB) lower than that of CPW on OPS layers. Also, the return loss of CPW on OPS air-bridge was less than about - 20 dB at measured frequency region for 2.2 mm. Therefore, this technology is very promising for extending the use of CMOS circuitry to higher RF frequencies.
